Cocco alla Vaniglia

I love this stuff. My bottle is about 2 years old and it's decadent. The liquid has darkened up. That's the trick with all Kyse frags...you really have to allow them to sit. The only one that didn't really need to was Oui Plus. That was rich and dense out of the mailbox. Also, I own Sucreabeille Oddling and that and this smell nearly identical to me. Kyse frags have been hit or miss with me but I love this one. I think this smells NOTHING like Morph Disaumano. Kyse is pure gourmand. Disaumano has a muskiness/perfuminess to it where as CALV smells like food. Edit: I just wanted to mosy on over to reiterate how yummy this perfume is. Thick, rich, decadent. Like I've been whacked over the head with coconut pulp and smeared with gooey vanilla bean paste. Lol. A little dramatic but I really do love this one. One of my bottles is about 2 years old and the liquid has gotten so dark. If you love gourmand coconut, get this! It doesn't have the greatest performance but not the worst either...but it's one of those ones where it's just so good that I'll happily respray all day long! And I think it could just be me going anosmic to it after about 2 hours bc people compliment me on it long after I last sprayed. Just get it! Cocco alla Vaniglia is a recent release from Kyse Perfumes and another great gourmand entry. Like Cocco Tiare, it features a note of coconut, but as its name suggests, it also involves vanilla, as well as tonka and whipped cream. The whipped cream note feels like a spot-on descriptor, as the fragrance has a creaminess but a lightness, as well. It’s not as dense as, say, the more concentrated Benjoin Vanillee. Cocco alla Vaniglia exemplifies perfumer/owner Terri Bozzo’s gifts that are repeatedly on display in her catalogue: all the sumptuousness of a gourmand without the being weighed down by a cake-like density. CAV feels balanced, slightly fresh, yet wholly sweet and immersive in not only the two eponymous notes, but the whipped cream accord as well. The perfume is a good performer and the pricing remains outstanding , at $80 / $54 / $34 / $23 for 100ml / 60ml / 30ml / 15ml, respectively. I do love the 100ml option for a fragrance like this as I could see myself applying it pretty liberally. And as always, the 3ml spray decants remain reasonable for testing purposes, at under $5 each. 8 out of 10

This is exactly what i am looking for. Creamy, gourmand perfume. No flowers or citrus with coconut. Cons are that i smell more vanilla than coconut and the projectivity and longevity. Its quite weak 3 hrs max. With gourmand perfumes i usually spray twice in the beg of the day and it last till late afternoon but with this one i have to re-spray every 3-4hrs. Still its worth the money I want to give feedback on body butter I just purchased; its amazing!!! this is my treasure. It projects much better than perfume, its great for my skin and I am always in better mood when I put it on myself. My friend told me she could smell me in the hall with this cream. it even stick to your clothes.. I spent weekend in my friend's condo and even after I left, he could smell it on the sheets. I will stock this out because its amazing.

I have a hard time with coconut, and I enjoy wearing this. I get coconut, also toasted coconut, and whipped cream whipped to the buttery stage...perhaps cocoa butter? Main accords say "sweet." I get sweet but not overly sugary. Reminiscent of a coconut macaroon. I rarely find fragrances "sexy" but I think this one is kinda sexy. The following are the coconut fragrances I have tried but haven't worked for me: EL Bronze Goddess, Lavanila Vanilla Coconut, The Body Shop Coconut, Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Coco. The last one, CSP, I could wear, but wasn't a love. This one smells more niche than those listed, in a good way, like handcrafted quality. It's more toasty and buttery. If you like coconut, this is worth checking out.

This fragrance is beautiful. A delicious coconut scent with a creaminess that just makes you want to eat it. I just received this today along with some other samples. I saw a YouTuber that said KYSE fragrances needed a few weeks to really develop the true smell. I believe this is true with the other scents I received because I can barely smell them. But this little gem right here smelled amazing right away. I can't wait to see how it smells in a few weeks! If you are a coconut lover you will love this one. I am going to use it alone and to layer it.

This perfume is a revelation. Usually when I see coconut in the notes, I skip over a fragrance. I always equate coconut with the smell of suntan lotion, and suntan lotion isn't what I want to smell like when I apply perfume. As the coconut is here, though, I like it very much! The vanilla here is beautiful also. This is lovely and rich and comforting and sexy and not too sweet. If you are a lover of gourmand fragrances, it is pretty hard to go wrong with any of Terri Bozzo's Kyse Perfumes. Another home run.

Holy grail territory for me—the opening notes are so sweet and pure they kind of make me want to cry? I can't stop smelling my own wrists. I don't get the synthetic whiffs other people are detecting, for me this is just a newly cracked-open coconut, milky and fresh. The only things about it I would change are the longevity/sillage, I keep having to reapply and I'm not sure anyone but me can smell how fabulous I am. A true gourmand, and my first full bottle buy.

100% agree with the top notes stated. This is a warm creamy toasted coconut with vanilla, yummy! I think it's one of my biggest top scents now. I'd say it's not super strong, maybe need to add more quantity than stronger perfumes I own to get it to a nice spot, but so far longevity is good, average I'd say :) I am a big coconut/roasted cooconut lover so yeah, if you're like me, looking for a simple yet well made warm coconut gourmand this is it <3

Fantastic coconut. It’s not that overly sweet sickening coconut, it’s not the synthetic coconut from Pacifica, it’s not a sunscreen, and it’s not too youthful, nor too gourmand. It’s just a very creamy thick slightly sweet enchanting coconut cream. I really like it. If you want projection you need to spray it on like a maniac, which I do, and then just wait for compliments! I love it. My favorite coconut.

Holy Mounds Bar! Coconutty, sweet, and perfectly light. It’s fluffy and halo-like, exactly as I hoped it would be. I totally get what people mean when they say the smell chocolate (though i’m not sure if I’m actually smelling chocolate or if my brain just associates this tasty shredded coconut scent with chocolaty treats). It’s definitely sweet but I don’t find it cloying at all. It’s a love for me! 😍

This scent is everything I expected cloud by Ariana Grande to be! My skin tends to pull tonka pretty strongly so I would say I get alot of that in the forefront. I also get the whipped cream and a nice light slightly buttery coconut that isn’t too overwhelming as some coconut can be. Speaking of cloud... if you own it and feel it needs more omph, let me say, this is the perfect scent to pair with it!

I get a sweet, creamy vanilla and coconut ice cream with this one. I really love it. It sits so nicely on my skin creating a decent scent bubble. Edit/ I'm wearing this today layered over Sugar Works Bath and Body's body oil in the scent Vanilla Stars and Coconut Blvds. and I an employee followed me out the store to ask what I was wearing.

Delicious, decadent, almost chocolatey coconut. Less tropical or suntan lotion— more German chocolate cake. I get a decent (arms length) projection and longevity (about 5-6 hrs). This is a very fun, cozy, and unapologetic scent; I definitely have to be in the mood for it, but there’s nothing like it in my collection. 🥥🍰🥛🍫🧁

A really nice gourmand, I love it. Beautiful and balanced, vanilla with toasted coconut that doesn’t go in the suntan lotion direction. Smells like “cookies baking in the oven” was my husband’s comment before he even knew I sprayed anything. Decent performance, there’s nothing I dislike about this scent.

This is one of the very few coconut loves. I don't like when a coconut scent comes with a bitter aftertaste. This one is smooth like butter. Wish it last longer than 10-20 mins. It's addictive. I keep sniffing it.

Kyse really excels when it comes to straightforwardly indulgent, no-frills true gourmands, and this Cocco alla Vaniglia is no exception! It does what it says on the tin: it doesn't happen often, but sometimes I get that craving and I just want to smell like a barely embellished version of (high quality) culinary vanilla and coconut extract, and that's what I get with this one. Not very sophisticated, obviously, but hard to get right in its own way, and Kyse can really be counted on in that respect! As a result, it smells truly delicious, without going super synthetic or toothachingly oversweet (although it is obviously extremely sweet. As it dries down, it calms down a little and it reminds me less of cooking extracts and more of a vanilla cake fried in coconut oil; it has something vaguely (and not unpleasantly) greasy to it. Because of that, it reminds me a little of an earlier Kyse that I also really enjoyed but probably wouldn't ever wear outside the house: Gateau de Carnavale. It has a milder version of that distinctly un-perfume-like but irresistible fried dough vibe. Again, the craving for this kind of scent doesn't happen often to me nowadays, and if it does I have some Kyses (mostly decants and big samples) in my collection that I find even more delicious. So I don't think I'll ever need more of this than my little sample, which I'll keep around to sniff from time to time. But if you're less of a crazed collector than I am, and you're looking for a gourmand coconut/vanilla that smells wonderful and is affordable to boot, I don't think you can do much better than this one.

First impressions: (dabber) Okay maybe it’s the other samples that I’ve tried that I’m going nose blind on. But at first I thought it smelled like angels food cake, but then there was a little plasticy ness that reminded me of Lait de Coco Le Monde Gourmand. Which I do not like that all. There was a slight coconut custard or coconut shavings/topping smell when I first smelled it which I loved. I’ll retry this later. Edit 1: Eh it’s alright, but it still smells like a better version of lait de coco from le mond gourmand, but I have a dabber of this so. Wait! No. I smell less of a synthetic coconut compared to LMG. So this is a better alternative imo. This one is also more smooth in composition. I’m okay with it, but I’m not entirely in love with coconut. If your a fan of lait de coco this one is definitely better, and might be your signature if lait de coco doesn’t last one you. Verdict: pass- but it’s good for someone else who likes a smoother gourmand of lait de coco.

This has to be the foodiest coconut I've ever tried. I don't actually find it to be very sweet for a gourmand, more buttery with a hint of salt, like a rich coconut macaroon. Cocco alla Vaniglia is good for what it is, a true dessert frag, but I think I would prefer it more in lotion format. I may try the tiare version since I think it would benefit from another note or two to balance it out. Now that I've had this about a year, I'll say I find it more wearable; rest seems to be good for most Kyse scents. Initially it was bordering a bit on popcorn

Sign me up for this shit! Hook all of Kyse to my veins! I mean, yes, it's simplistic - but that's the genius of it. This is the scent I am searching for when I buy skincare that purports to smell like "real coconut." But for these items there is always a musty, sour smell like something has turned or the aroma chemicals can't cover up whatever stank is coming from the active ingredients. Not this juice. There is no deception here. It's coconut and vanilla and it's an instant pick-me-up.

This is such a delicious scent! Most coconut fragrances smell artificial to me but not this one! Yummy vanilla, coconut & whipped cream This is sexy, creamy and smells like REAL actual coconut. I ordered a small spray sample just because I'm weary of phoney coconut scents but this is definitely full bottle worth! If you like the notes listed & want an authentic coconut, look no further

- Wearing this one from a sample. This fragrance is all about the coconut from the first blast to the drydown. The coconut smells mature and distinctive. Cream, vanilla and tonka tame the coconut, preventing it from becoming too beachy. Instead of beachy, this fragrance becomes a coconut milkshake in the drydown, a creamy sweet treat. This fragrance is stunning. I love it!

This opens with a blast of coco butter (which I don’t care for) but settles into a creamy, milky, pulpy coconut (which I love). If you love coconut scents, you will love this! This perfume lasts like an oil! I sprayed it on my wrists and have cooked dinner, done the dishes and it is still going strong after 8 hours. I’m truly impressed with the longevity.

This is a very foody scent. Very sticky sweet cornsyrup coconut vanilla. I have to be in the mood. Not just a coconut. Deb Martinez is spot on. Delicious yummy sweet coconut.....yes...like the delicious coconut center of a Mounds candy bar. It is yummy! 😊 💕 .

Like white chocolate bon bons made and covered with shredded coconut and condensed milk. That taste and smell is this. Moderate performance but this projects better than expected. I can definitely see the Cheirosa ‘39 Coco Cabana comparisons.

This smells a lot like B&BW Warm Vanilla Sugar, but more coconutty. It's a lovely gourmand, very sweet and creamy but not overly sweet. A little simple and linear for me to wear it alone but I'm interested in layering with this.

Toasted coconut gelato with specks of vanilla bean. I can't say I'd wear this scent on it's own but it shows promise in layering.

Creamy, yummy coconut that doesn't smell sunscreeny. Layers really well with her Lime Cognac frag too.

Opens up with a strong cocoa powder scent and some booziness, similar to what I smelled in Cocco Tiare. The difference here is that Cocco Tiare was much more of a creamy cocoa butter smell with much less booziness. As it dries down, that cocoa powder does being to transition in to a bit more of the cocoa butter texture, but it's still a much "darker" and richer version of the coconut I smell in Cocco Tiare. Very deep into the dry, if I smell super closely, I can actually get hints of real coconut in this fragrance, but I still smell the cocoa too strongly and the coconut barely comes through. Unfortunately, this is more "dense" than it is lactonic. I was hoping for a vanilla coconut, milky experience. Coincidentally, I don't like the taste or smell of chocolate. If it's not fully present, I almost never mind it in fragrances because it only adds a smooth and sweet textural element usually. I think we are more likely to notice smells we don't like than the ones we do, so I'm not sure how someone else would interpret the fragrance. It's like when people who enjoy chocolate say "you can barely taste it"... only for me to take a bite and immediately experience a mouth full of chocolate flavor, lol. All in all, I think Kyse's coconut note pulls cocao to my nose... interesting. Since they are made to order, I'm going to let it macerate and see how the fragrances continue to develop! I've heard Kyse gets better and better and she sits. UPDATE: Deeeeeep into the dry down, there is more of the vanilla & coconut the namesake implies. There is now a cocoa butter texture still lingering, but it's not the cocoa powder I was a bit afraid of. I really do think the maceration will bring this one to life! I was hoping one of the Kyse coconut scents would be enough to add some of that coconut lactonic creaminess of Crystal Noir EDP to the original Crystal Noir EDT formulation I have (the one with fig, black current, frangipani, etc.) They were too similar to keep both, but I wanted to take the coconut cream from the discontinued EDP to add to the pre-reformulated and tropical EDT. I thought Cocco Tiare was going to be a better match due to the coconut and frangipani, but I actually think this one is more suitable once it dries all the way down. Cocco Tiare stays floral, where this becomes sweet and creamy.

This smells exactly like coconut macaroons: sweet, vanillic, sugary coconut. I was hoping for something more coconut forward and less like a coconut baked good, but that's a preference. Performance is okay, but as a layering fragrance it's great. Kyse is a great value for the money.

Just a little too much coconut has it smelling like lotion. Otherwise it would have been a great coconut cake scent.

Chocolate milk. Now you smell it. Then you don't. Why do the Kyse scents disappear so quickly?

I think Kyse may just not work for me. *sigh* I wanted this to work. I adore coconut and so rarely is it done well. This isn't it. : On me this has the same fusty, thick, oily scent to it as most Kyse fragrances. Almost like canola oil gone off. I've tested a number of the line now and they all have a very similar thick base that just doesn't work for me at all. On top it's thick sugary vanilla cream. I'm not getting any coconut. It's very sweet, very whipped dessert sort of scent. All in all, a dissapointment.

This doesn't smell bad but it is definitely not worth buying (especially at this price point); it reminds me of a basic, clean, white soap mixed with a spoonful of fresh, coconut jelly. Additionally, it's quite faint with little to no sillage; I had to press my nose to my skin to smell it. (I was really excited about trying this due to its popularity but, overall, I found it to be rather disappointing, especially after all of the hype.)

Synthetic, screechy coconut with a weird undertone. This has a bit of a note of a coconut I would like, but it is ruined by the base which is offputting and unnatural. I don’t know why but half of Kyse perfumes have turned sour on my skin. Maybe it’s one of the components that are used? But this is balmy and strange.

Gosh my skin must just hate Kyse perfumes. I'm not getting any creamy/toasted coconut like these reviews are mentioning. This smells like STRONG cocoa butter and cocoa powder on my skin and I HATE chocolate.

If you enjoy artificial scents and cheap lip gloss get this. This is a very cheap, fake smelling coconut. Its really bad it wasn't even worth the sample.

Wow wow wow!! I got A sample of this to try it out and this is the kind of coconut scent I have been looking for. Most coconut scents that I have tried are either really floral or are sun tan lotion vibe but this is not those. This is a toasted coconut with just the right amount of sweetness due to a very gentle but rich vanilla. The toasted coconut last and last but it does fade after a few hours and when it does your left with that pleaseant vanilla aroma. I have found the coconut scent that I have been looking for. This is gonna to be amazing to wear in the colder weather the kind of scent that will make you feel cozy! I want to add that its marketed toward women but I am a man and I feel this is unisex big time.

Just recieved a sample of this from Lucky Scent and testing it out today. So far, all I can say is WOW! This is the most photorealistic coconut scent I have ever smelled in perfumery. The vanilla makes it nice and creamy and perfectly compliments the core coconut scent. I detect a slight amber on dry down that makes it an alluring and attractive fragrance. The sillage is excellent as well. I get whiffs of this all throughout the day and it appears to project a solid 3 ft. I think this may become my go-to coconut scent and send the others I had to the wayside. Before this, my favorite coconut was Pacifica's Indian Coconut Nectar but it can't even compare to Kyse.

Very strong foodie sweet, creamy, moist coconut buttercream/filled candy. Like the creamiest gooey homemade coconut buttercream Easter egg or coconut patty candy. This is extremely sweet, but somehow not cloying. Very natural smelling, unlike Comptoir Sud Pacifique’s flat syntheticy offerings. It begins very strong but it mellows down just enough so as not to be overwhelming, It has almost a toasted vibe, too. This is a holy grail coconut scent if you like it sweet and chewy.

Rich, nutty coconut that leans almost chocolatey at first, like a tootsie roll. Then it settles into sweet candy coconut smothered in vanilla cream. Kind of reminiscent of a coconut cream filled bonbon. Very yummy. Good coconut fragrances are hard to find and 9/10 I'm disappointed by them, but the coconut note in this one is strong and reminds me of the delicious-smelling (but very cheap and oily) cocoa butter body cream by "Queen Helene."
