Cocco Tiare

An indolic, intoxicating marshmallowy tropical tiare with its gardenia quality and a creamy lactonic coconut-tonka from the whipped cream that has a chocolatey effect in this as in DUA Creamy Vanilla and Coconut with the tonka, coconut and whipped cream. A distant cousin imo is Guimauve Reminiscence. It also has a boozy balsamic element in the opening from the vanilla bean. Overall it's a unique amazing scent. I bought DUA Sea Water Tiare to try and recreate this pairing it with the Creamy Vanilla Coconut that smells chocolatey instead of coconutty like this one. I cannot find this anywhere to purchase.

Bought the samples and then was gifted them again for both the new Kyse Cocco scents. This is my favorite of the two. It's more tropical and less foody, but still very very creamy and like a whipped desert. There is a bit of a spicy undertone from the Tonka that makes it extra special. Another home run from Kyse. They do such great gourmands! I definitely want a bottle of this.

I'm not usually a big fan of Tiare scents because although I love the scent of white florals in nature in perfumery I often find the synthetic versions of these flowers to be weirdly cloying and soapy at the same time which seems contradictory but that's how I experience it. Cocco Tiare, however, is AMAZING!!! It features a beautiful and natural/realistic creamy creamy creamy Tiare flower which is immediately recognizable as Tiare flower but it's like putting your nose in a bouquet of Tiare flowers while eating a delicious creamy vanilla desert with hints of spiciness and fresh coconut cream (as ptilda has said it's from the natural Tonka). I'm also not usually a fan of coconut in perfumery but in this case it works soooo well. It's beautiful and opulent, mouthwateringly delicious without being cloying in any way. Just the right amount of sweetness, coconut cream that is subtle and plays a beautiful symphony with the coumarin sweetness and subtle spice of the tonka bean and the entire beauty of a floral confection is supported by a beautiful rich vanilla. So scrumptious and the performance is OUTSTANDING on this one! I have skin that eats perfume in no time flat and this is one of the only fragrances I can still smell on my skin 8 hours after putting it on. The longevity is amazing and the sillage is great but not beastly - like you'll have beautiful cloud around you but you won't knock people out with it.

Cocco Tiare is a recent 2019 release from Kyse Perfumes, the indie house based in California. It’s a nice mixed coconut/floral fragrance that’s a mix of coconut, tonka, vanilla, whipped cream, and the tiare flower. Certainly the sweet elements are familiar and especially present in the opening, but in the dry down, the floral element comes through. I wasn’t really at all familiar with the tiare flower in particular, though, so I looked it up and it seems to be a subcategory of gardenia as it Tahiiti’s national flower. Go figure! Cocco Tiare is a nice nod to fans of sweet fragrances (like myself) while not being as much of a gourmand as some of her other celebrated offerings. In that respect, it feels especially truer to what is a common trend in perfumes marketed toward women: coconut/vanilla floral fragrances. Cocco Tiare feels carefully blended and particularly in the dry down, balanced between the flower and other notes. Very nicely done, as always, by Terri, with good performance (not as boastful as Vanille de Cedre, which I sampled yesterday) and great pricing and sizing options, at $80 / $54 / $34 / $23 for 100ml / 60ml / 30ml / 15ml, respectively. It’s really uncanny how she offers such great products at modest prices. 7 out of 10

Cocco Tiare is my last Kyse sample of this year's batch, and I like it! I had expected to like it less than Cocco alla Vaniglia, but the opposite is true. This one is a lot less heavy with more cream and less vanilla extract, and the addition of the tiare adds a lighter touch as well - although it's still very much a true gourmand and not at all beachy or tropical. It also doesn't have that slightly greasy consistency of Cocco alla Vaniglia and some other baked goods inspired Kyse scents. I don't mind that greasiness, but this is a more straightforward coconut cookie kind of scent, which I love. It doesn't develop much and I wouldn't want to wear it every day or even very often, but when the mood strikes this kind of simple, delicious gourmand fragrance can be just what the doctor ordered. I have some similar scents in my collection already, so I don't think I need more of this one now that my sample is gone, but I have to say I'd really love a body lotion in this scent to wear to bed now and then, and I'd probably order one if I lived in the US. And if you're still looking for a good coconut gourmand, this is definitely a great one to try - I can hardly imagine you can do much better for this price.

Yet another solid gourmand from Kyse. It is almost as good as Cocco alla Vaniglia, which is probably my favorite from this house. I received a sample Coco Tiare lotion as a gift with my order of samples and I LOVED it! It was moisturising and smelled great yet it wasn't overpowering. On to the scent of this perfume. This one needs a couple minutes to settle on the skin. It smells like coconut milk rounded by cream and tiare flower, but doesn't go into milkshake territory like Cocco alla Vaniglia does. So I totally think both these fragrances are worth owning. Coco Tiare is a beautiful perfume and Kyse makes a beautiful scented lotion of this perfume too! -

178 This begins more floral with nutty(tonka) coconut cream and settles into a mostly milky aroma. The creamy milkiness is gentle, pleasing to the nose, and it’s a skin scent. It’s 75 degrees today and it’s perfect for warm weather. 7/10-I like it, just wish it was stronger. Metallic dry down is not that noticeable.

I'm a big fan of Kyse scents in general. This one is nice. I like the coconut at first and then the tiare flower notes come in. But, white florals just don't smell great on me. It smells fine, nice, and on someone else I bet it's gorgeous. But white flowers just aren't for me

The opening smells like chocolate to me. Dry down is more like cocoa butter lotion, and I get an almost powdery accord - perhaps the tiare flower? It's lovely, more subdued and perfume-y than some of Kyse's other bombastic gourmand offerings.

Off the initial spray I almost smell white chocolate with a little bit a cocoa butter, once it settles you can definitely smell the tiare and florals more. A little cloying once those notes settle but overall it is a nice fragrance.

If you liked comptoir sud pacifique vanille coco or or tropical gourmands this easily slides into the category. It can stand alone or layer with things like Alien Extraordinaire, vanille coco, gold sugar, etc. A solid buy for summer

Another very nice fragrance from this house, but it's not outstanding enough for me to want a full bottle. I prefer Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Coco more.

Smells very similar to the Cocco Alla Vaniglia but with the tiare. Gorgeous, tropical scent that I will definitely be wearing a lot during summer

Cute, fun, summery coconut with a bit of floral to amp it up. Makes me think of late nights at the beach.

Vanilla, hint of coconut, very clean tiare that doesn't lean very floral or tropical.

When I first spray this, I get a strong whiff of cocoa - perhaps cocoa butter, because it's light and smooth. In Cocco alla Vaniglia, it's more like cocoa powder. I think some people interpret this as boozy and I can understand that. All in all, I think Kyse's coconut note pulls cocao to my nose... interesting. For me, this is not an edible-smelling fragrance. As many have stated, the florals are definitely present enough for you to know you are smelling a proper fragrance. To me, this smells more like a body lotion/body wash than perfume. This isn't a bad thing at the cost of these fragrances. If it were $50+ dollars, then I'd make a slight fuss. When I smell this in the dry down, I get sweet & creamy white/yellow florals - not coconut. Since they are made to order, I'm going to let it macerate and see how the fragrances continue to develop! I've heard Kyse gets better and better and she sits.

Terri Bozzo is working her magic again; a tropical vacation showstopper. Cocco Tiare is less gourmand and more Waikiki. A little over the top but in small doses I can handle it. Perfect for warm weather, I’ve worn my sample several times over the past months. Tiare flower is the hussy of the floral category, the loud talker of the gardenia family. I usually like her when she’s mixed with others in a bouquet, so not my favorite from Kyse Perfumes but I can also understand the appeal. I have a few others notched above this latest creation from Terri. If you are a fan of Tiare, this should be on your test list.

I truly don't detect any floral notes in this, it's just straight liquified golden cocoa butter.
