Praliné au Caramel

Yummy! I don't know what the other reviewers are smelling, but this smells smooth and DELICIOUS to my nose! This surprised me by how much I loved it! I ordered a sample of this not really thinking I'd like it, but I wanted to try it since since people have been on the pistachio hype train. I figured if I didn't like my sample, I could pass it along. I put this on my wrists when I was going to bed and I could still smell it when I woke up! This doesn't smell like Cheirosa '62 by Sol de Janeiro, to my nose, but I absolutely need this in the BIGGEST size! Ahhh, soooo good! I have a lot of fragrances, many that aren't even listed on Fragrantica, so I have close to 500 fragrances. I included that for context to say that I don't buy full size bottles anymore unless I absolutely love the scent and I usually just buy the travel spray or the 1oz/30 ml bottle. I might buy the 1 oz/30 ml bottle of this from Kyse, but I really think I'll buy the 2 oz/60 ml because this scent can be worn year round! This is gourmand and beautiful for the Fall/Winter months, but also fresh enough for Spring/Summer months! It's not heavy or cloying. It's sweet, but it has the slightest touch of salt to made freshness. The salt note listed was one reason I was hesitant to even order a sample, but I love it and it's so well done! The perfumer did a wonderful job! What I smell first and pretty much equally is the caramel and the creamy coconut, with the touch of salt from the ocean nearby like you're sitting on the beach drinking a sweet milky coconut drink and you ate a caramel. It does not smell ozonic though! Ozonic notes often give me migraines and smell weird to me, so I'm thankful this doesn't smell ozonic. The perfumer did a great job making this smell like you could be near an ocean without making it smell weird. Love this one!

Reading these reviews makes me confused. I had to double check that this was the same perfume we are talking about. I'm not sure if people smell this, don't like it, and then attribute it the listed notes as an afterthought. I simply don't recognize the notes described by many of my fellow perfume lovers in these reviews. It might change your experience to let the perfume rest a few months. To my opinion: in short - a soft, fluffy pistachio with a hint of marzipan. Dries down airy and inoffensive. I also have Cheirosa and it has a few similarities, but where Cheirosa is a bit fruity and beachy like a summery Victoria's Secret body mist, Praline au Caramel is a pure gourmand with loud nutty notes. I am happy to wear a nutty gourmand that is not a hazelnutty patchouli nutella bomb like Angel Muse by Mugler, or a bitteralmond christmas cookie like Xerjoff's Italica (I love them all dearly). Out of all Kyse perfumes this and Oui Plus will be my favourites. DouceurBrulee and Gateau de Carneval can be appreciated by me but not worn because of their burnt and respectively thick and sultry graham cracker quality. This Praline au Caramel one is perfectly nutty, sweet and cozy for me.

Wow! A potent praline and pistachio gourmand with a dash of salt and coconut. This definitely came on too strong for me on the opening. There was an artificiality about the notes. Gradually the artificial aspect fades and it actually improves. Impressive silage in a 24 degree room. A delicious nutty caramel confection. It is sweet but it doesn't put my teeth on edge. I have no idea what capuacu smells like and assume it provides almost a dry, woody fibrous quality as the base. If you love gourmands then it's a must sniff. Now one of my faves from the Kyse house. I get above average longevity in this warm. The silage is strong at the start but then it fades back to arms length after a while.

For me this a very singular fragrance - I get candy smelling caramel/praline. I wish I could detect the other notes mentioned but I just do not. It's SO good. When I crave this smell, nothing else does it and this delightful gem sure does the trick. The only change it makes through time on my skin is it goes a bit warmer which is even nicer than in the beginning!

Boozy, liquid caramel. Straightforward and linear. Fleeting but delicious. Best caramel I have tried but looking for one with more sillage and performance.

One two most recent releases from Kyse Perfumes, Praline au Caramel, has listed notes of pistachio praline, salted caramel, coconut, and cupuacu (a tree whose taste is sometimes compared to chocolate), described as kind of beachy, and I sort of get that. It’s nutty and very sweet, as one would expect, but there’s something fresh and salty about it, too. It’s not purely praline candy, either, as it’s not quite as dark and caramel-like, overall, so the pistachio aspect does shine through a bit more. Still, it’s sweet and salty and interesting and more year-round-friendly than some of the heavier-handed offerings from the house like J or Oui Plus. Praline au Caramel has the same outstanding pricing as most offerings in the Kyse catalogue, at $82/55/35/24 for 100/60/30/15ml, sold only through the house’s website, to my knowledge, and the samples (whether in a 2ml or 5ml size) are very reasonably priced, as well. 7 out of 10

Obviously inspired by Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum cream, but not a 100% exact dupe. The opening is pure roasted pistachio bliss, very mouthwatering. What comes next smells similar to the cream: Somewhat gourmand, beachy and coconutty, a little salty and a little fresh at the same time. It even smells a little lotion-like, and I could do without that aspect. Can‘t make an exact comparison to the cream because I don‘t own it at the moment (I had a small pot and a shower gel with the scent in 2018), but all in all I would say Praliné au Caramel is more gourmand while the Sol de Janeiro products feel a little lighter and even a tad fruity. This is very sweet and yummy in the final drydown, it smells like nutty caramel & vanilla. If you love Bum Bum products and need a matching fragrance, you can‘t really go wrong with this.

Sweet and a tiny bit nutty, but the cupuacu comes off strange to my nose. It’s not bad by any means, but it gives off a vaguely frutiy accord that I didn’t expect and the caramel isn’t as distinct as I hoped. I don’t get any coconut or salt. Has minimal sillage and lasts nearly all day and more. In terms of perfumes lasted as similar— ❌ Ariana’s Cloud Pink: much fruitier with some powdery florals ❌ SDJ Cheirosa ‘62: much nuttier and more tropical, doesn’t have any cupuacu ❌ SDJ SOL EDP: nuttier and more tropical, doesn’t have any cupuacu

I was expecting a very caramel, nutty fragrance by the name, but its a lot brighter and sweeter than I thought. It reminds me of a candy, but I can't remember what it is. I do smell the layers of caramel and praline as it dries down, but it's still the background compared to a sweet, almost taffy type scent. It lasted a decent amount on me but the spillage wasn't great.

This opens with a chocolate coffee note that is not too sweet or intense. Later on, the coffee fades a little, but is still present. The sweetness is light and not overly cloying. This would be nice for spring or a casual summer night. I enjoy this scent a lot, but it only lasts about 2 hrs on me. I'm not sure if this would be worth it to buy even though I like it.

For the first minute this smells warm and delicious, like walking past Gloria Jeans at the mall when I was a kid. Not as much the literal coffee as a particular type of sweetness my nose detects from coffee shop-bakeries. and then IT'S GONE It is so bizarre, I have tried multiple times yet always get nothing but the faintest base after approximately 60 seconds.

It is sweet, caramel, and nutty. It doesn’t smell like Cheirosa 62 like a lot of people compare it to. I prefer cheirosa 62. This smells like a caramel candle from bath and body works. It’s good but there is something waxy or candle like about it. I will continue to test it out.

I've worn my sample of Praliné au Caramel off and on for a few weeks, and I have to say it hasn't made much of an impression so far. I don't know why that should be, because I really can't find anything bad to say about it. It's sweet but not too sweet, and the caramel accord is lovely (and more importantly it doesn't go burned or even "barbecue" on my skin, which caramel tends to do for me). The dusty, subtly salty pistachio note is a very nice touch as well. And I also get the praliné accord, at least there's something vaguely chocolatey about the whole composition, and then there's also a very slight and pleasant vibe of something fried, in coconut oil maybe, because I do get why it's reminded others on this page of coconut too. It's a true gourmand but not as strong and in your face as many of these Kyses are. So in theory, I find it a perfect fall and winter scent, cosy and comforting but just restrained enough to be worn out of the house without feeling conspicuous. But somehow I'm not wild about it - I enjoyed sampling it, but I don't find myself sniffing my wrist when I'm wearing it, and I don't particularly want more now that my sample is gone. A simple question of taste, probably: it's delicious, but not in a way that makes my heart beat any faster. It's a little unexpected, because I thought this would be one of my favorites from this year's batch of Kyse samples, but at least I don't have to add to my wish list!

I expected booze to be in the notes. Like... whiskey or a liquor. Cause it smells like a nutty liquor to me. Very masculine. I gave it to my husband who gladly wears it. The praline in the name promises a soft scent but it’s quite harsh. Masculine as I said. Not for me. Kyse remains my favorite perfume house ever though and they’re the creators of my all time favorite perfumes.

I can definitely see the similarities to Sol De Janeiro 62/Bum Bum cream. This has that same thing that SDJ 62 does to me, which is a sharp-ish juicy fruit top note despite it not being listed in either fragrance. This smells a *lot* like Sol De Janeiro 40 to me. Not what I was hoping for, even though it is very pretty.

The initial spray smells exactly like cherry cough syrup and Tonka bean to me. Which is so weird because cherry isn’t a note here but that’s what I’m smelling. It’s very cloying and it almost made me gag. But once it dries down, I definitely smell the praline and caramel. After an hour or so, I absolutely smell nothing.

I so wanted to like this perfume based on all reviews but i am kind of disappointed. Perhaps, caramel and praline jsut reacts badly with my skin. I expected yummy sweet creamy smell but its more nutty and sweet but unpleasantly. The longevity is 3 hrs and there is no sillage. I can smell only with my arms length

Listen. I'm getting less praline and caramel than I'm getting the smell of WEED! The pistachio in this smells like straight Ganga growing out of the ground or white tobacco. Everything else is kind of secondary to that smell. Pass.

This is something sweet and oily, but it reminds me of the word “suspicious“. I don’t trust it. It reminds me of something you would find it a strange shop on the side of the road. Weirddddd.

Salty burnt caramel on my skin. Salty would be an understatement. The salt note is super screechy and enough so to give me a headache. First complete bust for me from Kyse :(

On my skin, I don’t smell anything close to what’s described. It’s purely a woodsy, 100% MASCULINE scent. Not safe for a blind buy!!! Sample first!!!

Seems like my review stating Kyse Perfume all ressembles themselves in the dry down has been deleted ... do not understand why ...

Not a fan - loud, artificial, burnt brown sugar.

It doesn’t smell like it necessarily but if you love Girl of Now (which I do!) then it’s safe to assume you’ll enjoy Praline Au Caramel as a brighter, summertime alternative. Very yummy salty pistachio and caramel scent with just a hint of coconut for sweetness. It’s delicious. I’m realllllly not into most caramel perfumes- they all tend to smell like chemicals or like Viva La Juicy to me, they don’t even register as gourmand to my nose. Here, however, it’s done quite well. Kyse- you’re impressing me! P.S. I’m SO excited about the sample of “Macarons” they threw into my order, which isn’t listed on fragrantica yet as I think it hasn’t officially been released. But let’s just say it smells VERY similar to a certain new Killian perfume that’s on the top of everyone’s wishlist...

The opening smells like the richest butter pecan ice cream but then quickly transitions into creamy fluffy coconut musk heaven. The coconut doesn't dominate tho. It blends nicely with a tinge of nutty vanilla saltiness. There's a suggestion of citric sweetness too. I've never smelled Brazilian Crush but I get how this would be missed if it were no longer available. My new addictive scent for fall. Omgosh it's so good! I bet this stuff would sing in the sunshine too. PS***** I've noticed the longevity is a bit suboptimal. Maybe 3 hours tops which is disappointing because it smells great. Admittedly a bit too sweet , still good but have to be in the mood for it.

Ooooh yumm!!! This is dessert. Wafery, caramel, salty a little, and also a big dose of coffee to me, like a good fresh hazelnut wafer dipped into a strong espresso. Yumm! Just recieved my sample from Lucky Scent and gave it a try. Unfortunately, I don't like it at all on me. I got a nice almond/marzipan and caramel burst in the opening, but after mere minutes it turns into a linear maple syrup on me. I prefer not to smell like maple syrup, so I'll be passing on this one.

She had me at pistachio. Salty sweet undercurrent and a tinge of musk. Kyse is the Queen of Gourmands. I just keep blind buying the new releases. How many houses can you say that about?

I know what the notes are, but to me, this smells like almonds, chocolate, and honey. I would think if you like any of those notes in a fragrance, this is worth a try.

This was way too boozy for me. Zero sillage and only lasted about 30 minutes.

VERY sweet salted caramel. Not a “smooth” scent, almost sharp to my nose.

It's nice, caramelly and .... and nice. Didn't wow me.
