Zucchero Filato

This was given to me as a sample with my other purchases. From opening the container, I literally smelled cherry berry cotton candy flavored... candy, haha. If you literally want to smell like cherry punch flavored cotton candy - this is the fragrance for you. It's incredibly youthful, bright, sweet, fruity - straight candy. If you smell too hard into your skin after first applying, you may get a hybrid cherry cough syrup / pink liquid amoxicillin vibes, but that's not the impression you get with the full wear. After it settles, you get more of a raspberry cotton candy flavored hard candy. You smell the red berries and you smell the cotton candy, but the texture of this is not fluffy and mellow like cotton candy at all. It's tangy like a hard candy... like a cherry Charms lollipop. It's actually such a fun and nostalgic scent. Would I wear it? Nope. Would I buy it for my daughter to wear - most definitely! Sidenote: I think some reviewers are missing the cotton candy because their mind isn't allowing them to separate the smell from the textural experience. There is definitely a cotton candy accord in this fragrance, but it's not dominant. That's why I say that it smells like a *insert red fruit here* + cotton candy FLAVORED hard candy. Maybe that will make sense to someone else other than me, haha. UPDATE: I can't stop smelling this! I'm a candy feen, so it smells like I'm literally eating candy, haha. Again, not wearable for me but what a cool experience! I still smell this on my skin and it's been 16 hours since I left this review!

So at first I tried a sample of Kyse I had forgotten about, and upon first applying you get a sour milk type of scent, with a lot of candy in the background. That’s gone in 3 seconds. The sample had been sitting a month and it was ok. Got a mildew smell, but also sweet candy starburst. I got the full bottle, and sprayed 5 sprays on my shirt and one spray to my hand. Within seconds I could barely smell it anymore- when I put my nose to my hand I get this strange earthy type of smell, the mildew smell... I didn’t think it was enough so I sprayed 5 more on my shirt. Now I can smell it better. I took off the shirt and decided to hang it up rather than wear it to see how long it lasts on clothes. This smells very strongly of cotton candy and slightly of pink starbursts in the dry down, it’s also a bit creamy, I will say the room I sprayed it in had a lingering smell of rotten milk / mildew, with candy tones added...Not my favorite. Ultimately, this is a very synthetic artificial cotton candy smell- similar to a cotton candy flavored toothpaste from the dentist. I ordered body butters in this scent also and will test those. BODY BUTTERS: I love how strong, rich and creamy this body butter is! It definitely projects well, and smells amazing. 10/10 for body butter! 8/10 for the perfume! I truly hope that this company will exist forever 🫶🏼 this has become a staple in my routine. I use the body butter, then I use Skylar boardwalk delight perfume and body spray over it. Match made in freakin heaven yall

When I first got this fragrance, it smelled like a sweet, weakly scented candle. A waxy, slightly vanilla close to $100 disappointment. I basically could have just thrown the cash in the toilet and flushed. A month later I decided to layer it with something just to attempt to get some use out of it and I realized it had blossomed into something delicious. It is now a thick, delicious, caramel berry vanilla cotton candy scent that is even better than what I thought I was looking for. On my skin, it’s a beast. It’s about 8 months old at this point though. This stuff is divine, as is Delizia di Marshmallow by the same brand. I bought them at the same time and both started out weak and waxy. Unfortunately, they have to sit in my experience, for a month but they are soooo worth it. I get compliments with every use. Just delicious.

So far this is one of the most realistic cotton candy scents that i've ever been able to find. It does smell like the cotton candy that you get freshly made at the fairgrounds. One of those that is supposed to b it's berry flavored but isn't quite fruity in any real way. Just a ghost whisper of red berries. The spun sugar and fluffy pink cotton candy are the star of the show. It is a bit overpriced, but in the perfume world, you often get what you pay for. The scent, it seems to last from anywhere between 2-6 hours depending on my activity level and, the time of year. If I am just lounging during the winter, it lasts for a very long time. But if I am outdoors during the summer and the heat, it burns off very quickly.

I'm going to say this does not remind me of pink sugar at all...what it does remind me of..in the opening..is spot on for a uk perfume called sugar plum in early 2000s. Then it ( on me at least ), has a strawberry stage (like the strawberry note in serenade de fraise...and then my favourite bit..the crunchy sugar crystals...not quite toffee or caramel and not burnt...but definitely with a warm crunchiness to them. As someone who likes sweet gourmands anyway, this actually isn't as toothachingly sweet as you might expect (the sweetest is probably Jasmine macarons k). It's a warming sweet treat for the colder weather :).

Oh wow. This is such a dream fragrance. It smells just like how I've always wanted to smell: sweet like cotton candy. There is no synthetic smell from this, it smells just like a carnival fair. This lasts so long on my skin as well. The red berries and the spun sugar are blended delicately. This is what I thought Pink Sugar was gonna smell like, but I disliked how synthetic the smell was. So, no, this does not smell anything like Pink Sugar.

Smells like a photorealistic pink cotton candy! Kyse has a way of adding musk or this warmth into her gourmand to make it not smell childlike or syrupy sweet. It’s always perfectly in the middle as far and the sweetness level go. You get a hint of that pink strawberry in the pink cotton candy but it’s not an overwhelming strawberry scent. I hate Pink Sugar and this smells nothing like that! Not at all synthetic smelling.

Can you say....masterpiece?? I purchased a bunch of samples from KYSE, and put them in order of most to least excited to try. Zucchero was my last one to try because I wasn't necessarily looking for another cotton candy perfume. But my goodness, I was blown away. I can't even describe how beautiful it is and how it went above and beyond my expectations. Immediately purchased a full bottle. Bravo Terri Bozzo. 10/10

This house is new to me. I bought several samples to test because I find indie brands have the type of gourmand type of scents I like. They always have something unique and not like you get in stores. This smells like sweet, warm cotton candy, a slight crisp fresh berries. It’s a summer scent to me. Very girly gourmand and sweet. It’s sold out at the moment, but I can’t wait til it’s back and I can get full size!

I got kicked out of class in first grade because I had a cheap cotton candy perfume I couldn't stop spraying on myself.. this is not that. This is a super sweet synthetic strawberry marshmallow and cotton candy scent- not 100٪ plain cotton candy that I've been looking for. Still, this doesn't give me a headache, like so many other scents do, and it lasts super long so I will probably be purchasing a full bottle.

The opening is straight up sinister — the faux sweetness reminds me of waiting to be shot up with Novocain at the dentist. Then it veers into this dense and flat sugar oblivion, like drowning in a tsunami of flat Diet Coke. Personally, I love the wild emotional ride this takes me on. Five stars.

i really wanted this to smell like cottoncandy but to me this just smells like a berry orange hard candy . like a bit of bubblegummyness like a hint of melonyness too maybe . but i do like the smell of it like fruity candy but not cottoncandy

if you've ever been inside a Dylan's Candy Bar, this is exactly what this smells like. sharply sweet. delectable. Its not what I imagine when I think of cotton candy, its much more sour and gummy like than actual cotton candy

I agree that it reminds me of sweets in general and not just cotton candy: taffy, brown sugar, vanilla fudge. Yes, it is a little waxy but I'm ok with that. It's one of my favorite offerings from Kyse.

This is such a perfect cotton candy scent! It smells exactly like cotton candy, and also there is a hint of what, to me, smells like pink starburst bubble gum!

Beautiful juicy, fruity opening but smells a little screechy if you smell it up close--- but that's actually fine because it smells beautiful in the air. It's true to the name--- a caramelly spun sugar scent, sweet and gourmand. When it comes to cotton candy notes, my favourite perfumes currently are BR540, Pink Sugar and Acqua e Zucchero--- special mention to Sundazed but this one smells more like a clean cotton candy, if that makes sense. Anyway--- I feel like Zucchero Filatto is in a different yet similar league. In both cases the base is sugar but cotton candy feels way airier. I personally don't feel airiness from this perfume, but I very much feel the caramel undertones that makes it closer to spun sugar to my nose. However I do get reminded of Pink Sugar but you can still differentiate them both imo. It doesn't have the licorice and minty accords of Pink Sugar. Also, ZF creates a beautiful scent bubble around you. You really don't need to smell it up close because it projects really well and lasts quite a long time (still projecting and thriving after 5 hours). This is a beautiful, simple and straight-forward gourmand :)

I bought a sample and then a full bottle of this based on the Luckyscent review that says something like, “You will like this. If you’re on this page, then you want a perfume that smells like cotton candy. That’s what this is.” And, indeed, it’s a pure, realistic recreation of a big pink puff of cotton candy. The red berries are present and vocal, but a decidedly quieter part of the conversation compared to the dominance of the cotton candy note. Yum. In this fragrance, cotton candy is speaking to us through a megaphone: sweet, bright, charming, energetic. This scent is full but not quite bold; it is very much an outdoor fair, as the sweetness does not suffocate. It smells faintly like butthole before it’s on skin, so do try it out. It’s a wonderfully colorful and yet versatile smell that can easily enhance whatever traits or moods you’re in. It is not a great projector but does last for a long while. I can still smell it faintly at the end of my eight hour work day. This one is truly a winner!

I want to love this perfume, because it smells AMAZING!!! A super photorealistic cotton candy smell, like you're standing next to a cotton candy cart with the sugar spinning. The spun sugar smell really comes through. So - I love the smell, but the longevity??? I will preface this by saying that I bought a sample, so I do not have a full bottle. Maybe if I sprayed it on my clothes and myself it would last longer. But as I used it, just putting it on my wrists and neck, I feel like it lasted about an hour. A couple of hours later and I could no longer smell it on my wrists even when I put them right up to my nose. I've noticed other reviewers saying the same thing, so I'm guessing it's not just me. I will still give it a "like", as I do love the smell so much, but for that longevity I would be hard pressed to spend more than $10 for a full bottle. :(

Zucchero Filato reminds me of Pixie Stix, strawberry Jello mix, and the Fun Dip sugar powders 😋 Not a traditional smelling cotton candy scent because of the red berries (I get mostly strawberry), but still a sweet sugary scent that will satisfy your sweet tooth. It's one of my favorite comforting scents that puts a smile on my face every time I wear it 🥰 As far as comparisons go, I don't find that Zucchero Filato smells anything like Pink Sugar. Pink Sugar has more going on and has a burnt smell to it. The closest fragrance I can think of is The Taliaferro Room 129, which smells like strawberry Jello and Kool-Aid mix. A difference would be that Room 129 is fruitier and reminds me of strawberry Jello that has chunks of cherry and pineapple in it whereas Zucchero Filato is plain strawberry Jello.

It isn't bad but isn't good. It does smell like cotton candy, but somehow less sweet? I don't know how they managed that, but it definitely wasn't what I was hoping for. I was really excited about this and it was the main reason I ordered from the company, so it was a huge letdown. Edit: It's been a little under 2 weeks and the scent has actually begun to evolve already into something really nice and sweet. I definitely get the berries and the sweetness now and I really like it. I'm glad I didn't toss them and let them macerate, because it actually does smell really good now. I'll be buying a full bottle and just not using it until it has time to rest and develop. If you didn't like the perfume upon first try, set it aside and come back to it; it changes!

Zucchero Filato was included as a freebie in my order. It's nt really my kind of scent, but I appreciate it! It's fun and of course it smells lovely. It would make an easy gift to just about anyone. Zucchero Filato definitely references Pink Sugar, but it completely skips the harsher licorice, burnt musk undertones, and synthetic top notes. It also avoids any cloying sweetness or middle school flashbacks. Instead, Zucchero Filato focuses on light-as-air sugar notes and a slightly sour, almost citrus-like berry. In fact, it reminds me of unsweetened cranberry juice. Just sunny spun sugar and a squeez of cranberry. Zucchero Filato has no heavy vanilla, caramel, or musk to weigh it down. It truly feels like a fluffy cloud of sweetness.

Sugar and play-doh! And maybe a little bit of a vague berry. At first sniff, this is pure sugary sweetness. Exactly that cotton candy scent I was going for. But as it settles in, a powdery, almost creamy play-doh scent comes out and sticks around. It's so sweet it'll raise your blood sugar, but the play-doh is hard to ignore. After an hour or so the berries come out more, and the play-doh lessens, but the scent only wears for 1-2 hours on skin anyway. Do I like it? Yes! Was it exactly what I was hoping for? No! Am I going to wear it? Probably! (Hopefully!) But I'm still on the hunt for my dream cotton candy scent...

I was really looking forward to Zucchero Filato from Kyse and while it is not what I expected, I still think it has a place in my collection. I was looking for photorealistic cotton candy, bright fun saccharine with a bit of creaminess. What I got was sugared buttered popcorn with a hint of nondescript berry. It's still a nice gourmand and a beautiful layering scent, but there is something quite grainy in the delivery that takes this too far away from the intended cotton candy profile. Maybe the essence of the experience of a carnival? but true spun sugar it is not.

I don't get cotton candy but certainly do get carmel and oh my if you want a carmel fragrance or were disappointed by Bon Bon by V&R then you must try this! I feel like it would layer beautifully with anything you wanna boost the carmel note in. Lately for bed I've been layering this with V&R Bonbon which had no longevity by itself on me but with this kyse 🤤🥰 it's perfect and everything that I wished Bonbon was, and I can still smell it in the morning. Really worth a try if u love carmel

This is a beautiful sweet gourmand scent. Just like real cotton candy, it is more sweet than any other particular scent/note. It does smell vaguely of a market where they sell fresh strawberries along number of other things, but such impression is more prominent upclose and towards the opening. Overall, it has a decent performance, but I'm quite nose blind to this scent, despite getting whiffs of sweet deliciousness throughout the wear.

I left a review in October and the scent of this perfume is totally different now. It used to smell heavily of carmel and a touch of fruit. Now 6 months later it has turned into a very citrus opening and smells much more like cotton candyish. Unfortunately I prefer the carmel version b4 it aged lol it paired perfectly with Bonbon and made it last forever. I still like it though :)

This is such a pretty cotton candy fragrance. It's a sweet, red berry cotton candy scent. For the red berries.. I mostly get raspberry and strawberry mixed with that cotton candy scent. Not fancy, but also not extremely juvenile either. I really like it a lot. And my 4yr old daughter is obsessed with it!

I really like how this smells and to me it is a really true cotton candy smell. It didn’t last but 1.5 hours on me and was very intimate, sitting close to the skin.

I'm 100% echoing the reviewer below me - This smells exactly like an unlit votive candle with the tiniest bit of a sweet scent. Not my favorite straight up cotton candy scent by a mile. That spot remains occupied by none other than Walmart's Cotton Candy Body Fantasies - an exact dupe for Juice Bar's Cotton Candy "Refreshee Spray" that I used to douse myself in as a middle schooler. I honestly think they've just rebranded and kept the same formula. It's simply the best and most realistic interpretation to my nose - I only wish it lasted longer. Zucchero is pleasant, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing special. Powdery, waxy, red berries. A cheap candle. Not worth the money - go to Walmart. 5/10

Purchased off of Mercari because I liked a sample. For whatever reason, I get cotton candy with a hint of coconut. I do not like coconut scents. For a more realistic cotton candy scent, try Fluff of Sweetness The Dua Brand or Pink sugar (All of the other top notes disappear, if you wait for about 4-6 hours) or Body Fantasies Signature Cotton Candy Fragrance Body Spray (not the mist for $1 USD at Walmart). The latter smells like grape candy covered cotton candy.

lol at the comment below calling this a "masterpiece" is far from it. it is almost an annoying smell synthetic and does not smell like cotton candy, I'm not sure even what this really smells like but I don't like it. I ordered from her website, and it took forever to arrive I wasn't crazy about most of what I ordered but I did like a few. I would be curious to see how she is making these and what she is putting in them. headache inducing

That smells like sweet fruity candy with a hint of cotton candy to measure. It’s not straight cotton candy as advertised, but rather a synthetic sweet taffy scent. Becomes childish on my skin, like baby doll heads. Good for if you have a very sour or heavy perfume and need something to sweeten it up.

Fun pink cotton candy gourmand, but the red berries note went synthetic and screechy as time progressed. I also experienced the same issue with Serenade Aux Fraises :(

I always start to crave cotton candy scents in the summer, so I bought a partial bottle of this from Mercari to see if it would scratch the itch for a true cotton candy scent. Boy was I disappointed. I agree with the review below me that states there is an overwhelmingly artificial sweet smell to this- so much so that it made me feel a little queasy. The dry down also has something very "off" smelling about it. I definitely wouldn't recommend this one, especially if you're looking for a true to life cotton candy smell. My favorite for that out of the scents I've tried so far has been Vanitas by Profumum Roma, it's to die for. This however, HARD pass.

I wanted this to be a more refined version of a childhood drugstore favorite - the "Cotton Candy" body splash by Juice Bar (Parfums de Couer) from the 90s. Zucchero Filato did not smell in the least like cotton candy to me. Perhaps cotton candy smells differently in Italy. Perhaps I’m an old hag who can’t remember what actual cotton candy should smell like. Luckily my 9 year old niece loved it, and I gave my sample to her.

I was on the hunt for a photorealistic cotton candy scent, and heard this perfume was one of the best. I had high hopes, but I don’t get that airy, sweet cotton candy smell. On my skin this smells like a mixture of fruity chapstick and smoky wood. I purchased a decant from a separate company, and haven’t tried it on paper. It could just be my skin chemistry, but I don’t like this fragrance.

This smells like artificial cotton candy. It kinda reminds me of the strawberry shortcake baby doll. I wanted to love this one so bad because I love sugary scents but this was a miss for me. This does not smell like pink sugar at all. Longevity and sillage isn’t that good either.

I'm just curious. Why is it impossible for any brand to put out a realistic cotton candy scent? Not fruit. Not strawberry or blueberry. Cotton candy. The closest thing to real cotton candy that I've smelled is the opening of cloud pink. Just the opening, gone within 20 seconds. Then you have outremer vanille which is close but leans way more vanilla. And pink sugar does not smell like cotton candy. Just like...make something actually smell like cotton candy or don't advertise it that way. It's false advertising and this stuff is not cheap.

I really wanted to like this, but I do not get anything pleasant from this. It smells like litereral vomit- sugary vomit like a child throwing up after eating too much candy. I put it away and hoped it needed to macerate but nope. Scrubber and trash. Sorry. I wanted so badly to love this offering from a small business owner, but it's horrible.

Kyse Perfumes Zucchero Filato is a very intimate and mild sugary and fruity hard candy. I'm not sure if the cotton candy and the spun sugar notorious in the BR540 profile is causing the scent to be so airy it's barely detectable, or if there is a molecule used in here making it so. It's so faint but it smells like the faintest whiff of those "auntie's purse" strawberry hard candies but less strawberry, although still in there, and more raspberry. An even more faint hint if strawberry Nesquik but not enough to get a lactonic vibe. Overall, this is underwhelming and still overpriced even though it is affordable at $90 for 60 mL, because the performance is non-existent.

If you are not Canadian, this review may mean nothing to you. But, if you are Canadian, this is the most photorealistic scent possible of the birthday cake Timbit from Tim Hortons. I received it as a free sample with my usual Delizia di Marshmallow order. My sister and I, at the same time, said it smells just like the birthday cake timbit. It is as if cotton candy were baked into a sugary donut or Danish, but it does smell delicious, in my opinion. Not quite as long-lasting as some of her other scents, and it sits a bit closer to the skin, which I find appropriate for this one, since it isn't very 'light and fluffy'. I love it, but to each their own!

The beginning has 4 very distinct notes: 1) strawberry candy 2) cotton candy 3) marshmallows 4) toasted/burnt sugar ...but within a matter of seconds, most of these notes fade away quickly - and I was left with only *very soft* toasted/burnt sugar. It does smell like cotton candy at the fair (especially considering the "toasted" element seems to make a nod to other fried foods you can find there), which is fun - but considering how quiet it was and that I do not love toasted notes very much, this was enjoyable but will not be a repurchase for me. This could be a good one for layering!
