Soho

I hate to describe yet another perfume as a “warm floral” but that is what Soho is. And I love it. I don’t typically enjoy vanilla scents, but it takes the backseat just enough here to act as a balancing element rather than one at center stage. This would be a pretty safe blind buy if you know you enjoy these notes and are not looking for atomic performance. Soho has a “lived in” vibe, like wrapping up in someone’s fluffy blanket next to an open window facing their flower garden and it’s golden hour and a gentle breeze wafts in and you love this moment.

opening strongly reminiscent of my middle school sweet pea bbw body spray, i needed a democratic counter girl perfume for work and this is a perfect fit. simple spring floral with a warm vanilla dry down. must apply lightly but for an almost $200 bottle i'm not mad to stretch it

Ehh what is there to say. It's linear, easy to wear and clean, but nothing note worthy. Very much a perfume you wear to work or school. Pleasant enough? It is somewhat of a trite fragrance. Reminiscent of a drugstore brand shampoo and conditioner scent.

Beware: the notes listed on La Botica's website and Fragrantica do not match the current formulation of soho. The notes on La Botica's site are Top: violet, peach blossom, Heart: vanilla, orris, Base: sandalwood, cashmeran. The notes on the bottle of perfume I received from them are: smoke, vanilla, cashmeran, peach blossom, sandalwood. They appear to have reformulated with different notes and not updated their site so the buyer gets a different perfume than what's advertised. I have both a decant of the original formulation with the orris/iris, and a full sized bottle of the reformulation where the orris has been replaced with smoke and cashmerean. This is very dishonest and yes the perfumes smell completely different. I thought I was getting the original since that's what it looks like you're getting when you purchase from them. You end up with the reformulation, which I dislike. There's no room in perfumery for this kind of deception, especially at these prices. They don't accept returns. And I agree with another reviewer, it's very similar to a BBW body spray but costs almost $200 for less than 1/4 of the volume.
