Sample reviewed A truly charming scent. The unique idea to present a narcotic rose - is a new spin on the rose genre. Rose de mai and bulgarian roses mix into a youthful, plush, fresh rose while champaca undulates through the petals giving it the rich narcotic experience. As time passes cocoa is dusted on the rose petals and creamy sandalwood rises from the base giving the fragrance a woodiness to cling to. The strawberry is fresh and tart adding to the overall pinky/red composition. The materials are silky to the nose and excellent quality. Sillage is close to the body. This is truly a subtle romantics scent. Just an underrated beauty.

From the very first spritz, it captured my senses, opening with an irresistibly playful strawberry. This initial burst is both sweet and wonderfully fresh, like a whispered invitation to a secret garden party, hinting at the delightful journey ahead. As the fragrance unfolds, it blossoms into a heart of pure enchantment. A lush, romantic rose, as rich and vibrant as pink and crimson velvet, takes center stage. This exquisite floral is beautifully intertwined with hints of powdery cocoa, evoking images of chocolate-dipped strawberries on delicate crystal platters. What truly elevates this symphony, however, is the sensual depth of champaca, which grounds these sweeter notes, preventing any hint of frivolity. Champaca can be polarizing as I think people often pick up on the narcotic nature of it, and it can smell sour. In its prime form, Champaca is a sweet floral with hints of smokiness, and I smell that earthiness in this composition. You will need to be a Champaca fan in order to like or love this fragrance. I find this fragrance compelling and would like to sample it via a spray instead of a dauber vial.

Kiss From A Rose Seal (1997) Roses are one of the most beautiful, captivating, bold and fragrant flowers in the world, to me they represent love, romance, purity and the essence of femininity. it is captured perfectly in Fleur d L'Amour, it's lush, vibrant, dewy with woody nuances, the strawberry is not what some might think? In particular Imaginary Authors (2013) Woody Aromatic masterpiece Cape Heartache comes to mind. It's a green, juicy, jam-like field of just ripened strawberries, not the conventional sugary, sweet or dessert like, it's rounded out by a creamy, plush sandalwood, and a soothing, fruity nuanced whisper of champaca. I get the Rose, Strawberry, Sandalwood and Champaca, it opens up with a bright, fresh rose, and a green, juicy strawberry, the rose is strong, the strawberry is mild. After an hour the rose dissipates, the strawberry softens, in comes a warm, champaca, and a milky, buttery sandalwood, the champaca and sandalwood are mild. Fleur de L'Amour is a yellow floral, fresh, fruity, strong woods, subtle citric nuances, with a touch of sweetness, unisex, it leans more feminine Floral Fruity fragrance. This would be beautiful in the Spring and Fall, I get average projection and average longevity, this is another lovely fragrance from La Fleur by Livvy, 4/5 Stars.
