Forbidden Love

This is a lovely and unusual perfume that contains a very rare material - real lily absolute. If you think you have smelled a lily perfume before, think again - virtually all modern lily fragrances are constructions, since the true lily flower is reluctant to release its essence and extracting it is very expensive. The perfume is soft, sweet and rich yet subtle, with a haunting wistfulness. Vanilla is the perfect companion for the lily and lotus blossom. This is a natural perfume that lasts very well on me, getting more beautiful with time. I had the good fortune of testing a preview sample of Forbidden Love and it is disappearing rapidly - I want to wear it every day!. Forbidden Love is another standout fragrance from LFBL, and a personal favorite. The scent opens with a stunning, lush floral bouquet where notes of bright lily and dewy white lotus create a fresh, feminine first impression. I get the Lily, Lotus, Vanilla, Tobacco, Cypress Leaf and Benzoin, it opens up with a spicy, floating Lily and a watery, shimmering lotus, the lily is strong, the lotus is soft. After thirty minutes, the lotus dissipates, the lily softens, in comes a warm, milky vanilla and a dark, earthy tobacco leaf, the vanilla is mild, the tobacco leaf is soft, After six hours the lily and tobacco dissipate, the vanilla softens, in comes a green, spicy cypress, and a vanilla tinged, resinous benzoin, the cypress is mild, the benzoin is soft, Forbidden Love is a light, subtle, whispers in the warm air, with a touch of sweetness, powdery and green nuances, unisex, it leans more feminine Oriental Floral fragrance This would be stunning in the Spring and Summer, I get average projection and good longevity, this is my first experience with La Fleur by Livvy and I am in love, 5/5 Stars. My first real natural perfume experience and it's lovely. The scent is a little fleeting, but very pretty. On me, it's primarily lily and vanilla (a 'true' floral vanilla, not a foody one), but much more complex than those two notes alone would suggest. There's something mildly powdery about this scent - although the notes don't list it, it almost smells a little like rice powder in the heart (or perhaps my mind is just running with the Japanese theme!). In any case, it's a lovely, delicate and romantic fragrance. UPDATE: This fragrance just keeps getting better the longer it's allowed to macerate. I've never experienced this before, but then I haven't tried many naturals. Longevity has improved and the vanilla is more prominent. The older this one gets, the better!
