Creation

As I can see here this fragrance is not so popular. This is very specific fragrance you like or dislike there is no middle. I wear this for some official meetings.

I have a 1oz bottle of La Perla CREATION which I'm afraid will never be drained, as it smells very uninviting to my nose. I've tried to wear it a couple of times, but I find the opening quite unpleasant, and then when that subsides I'm left with, aside from a mild feeling of relief, the lingering scent of a vat-produced synthetic juice with no delineable natural notes detectable by my nose. I only wish that I detected benzoin or patchouli in this chemical soup, but I don't. All I really smell are vague solvents attempting to mimic flowers. Rather like some of the scarier Vicky Tiel perfumes I've tested. I always try to approach fragrances with an open mind, aware that I may not "get" something that someone else might. But, in truth, I cannot recommend this confused creation to anyone. I don't know whether my bottle is bad or it just does not smell very good because it never did in the first place. To be perfectly frank (quoi d'autre?) this strikes me as a mistake. Does any perfumer take credit for the creation of CREATION? If not, I understand why. Désolée.

I agree with Cassiel28. This is for the person who likes powdery "vintage-esque" soapy fragrances. It is not offensive nor is it anything special either. Great for workplaces that ban perfume or where perfume discretion is required. It is not an in-your-face floral but more reminiscent of a soft Chypre wanna-be. It does not radiate much, kinda close to the skin. For me It invokes sweet childhood memories, it's pleasant to my nose but not my style.

Creation is a nice everyday fragance. It starts a little bit harsh but that past very quick. I would not clasify it as floral, in me is more like a subtle chypre. I'm not good at identifying single notes, but I anybody that like powdery perfumes would appreciate it. In my skin is like a powdery-vintage-chypre with just a little bit of sweetness, everything is being framed in a very suble animalistic note. I would say that this fragrance is more in the Nannete by Nannete Lapore kind of perfume playground. Not the same of course, N by NL it's a better fragrance, but is just to give you an idea. All in all, it's not a bad perfume, it's nice and not inrusive, log lasting but not much sillage. A good thing to wear to the office. There are a lot of very expensive perfumes with less personality that Creation. Hope it helps Oh! I forgot to mention that the bottle is really nice and classy

If the leaf of vanilla orchids had a smell, this would perfums like Creation. Probably the open is a bit disturbing for someone, this is acrid and leafy/lymphy before to turn into a fresh "green" hesperid spicy musky ambery vanilla scent. I presume the ispiration, based on the name and on the essential bottle, was an exploration around the origins of perfumery. An European/indian essential scent. Citrus flowers resins patchouli and vanilla make a real basical and unisex light luminous chypre/oriental fragrance. La Perla Creation remains leafy and dry warm vanilla-citruses all the time but during the drydown I sense a sort of far subtle shadow of musc ravageur resemblance. Perhaps I don't feel to declare "this is an hidden gem" but I can say this is a real brilliant creation, quite original, and not fully understood scent.
