Dark Extacy

I admit, I am not really a fully gourmand perfume lover, BUT I got a sample from one of my go-to decant stores and it was true love. I'd walk into work and people would come up and hug me just to a whiff of this amazing "Oriental Vanilla" yummy creation. Dark Extacy is chocolate and vanilla with wonderful woody scents, licorice and even rose. The BEST chocolate perfume I have ever found...and I have been trying to find a replacement but comes close IMO. Any ideas? As always happens with my favs, they no longer make it, and I can't find any anywhere. I actually bought the last decants that BOTH of my perfume places had....no more to be had. Such a sad thing for anyone who has never had a chance to try it. PS: ANYONE WHO HAS SOME TO GET RID OF, I WOULD LOVE TO HELP YOU OUT!!!!!!!

An ultimate choice for winter! The best winter warmer I have ever worn :-) When I close my eyes , I feel like sitting in a romantic cafe in Paris on a winter day, the air is crispy but the smell of slice of tiramisu and a drink of hot bitter chocolate makes me feel warm, makes me actually feel...delicious! Even though it is not a strictly edible fragrance, it has the most wonderful bitter cocoa note one can imagine! I need to stock up before it gets impossible to find! I wish I knew who is behind that gem!!! Lasting power and silage are decent for an Eau De Toilette :-) The bottle is...ever so pretty, naughty, smile inducing. Dark Extacy triggers so many positive emotions and sensations that I consider making it my signature :-)

I'm so sad this is discontinued! I was fortunate enough to receive this in a swap and it is absolutely the best chocolate perfume that I've experienced. Exactly what a chocolate scent should be! Super realistic without being too much. It leans more toward milk chocolate than dark, but is just a perfectly blended fondue. The other notes keep it from being one dimensional, but aren't obvious. I've had and tested so many others (chocolate frags) and they all have something not quite there or have kind of an odd smell compared to Dark Extacy. The only problem is the longevity. After about 2 hours it's just gone, even on clothing.

The opening is unbelievable - true chocolate praline truffle with alcohol. The alcohol is in the chocolate praline, not a scent of its own. Then it is all about chocolate, but one can detect also woody notes, a drop of rose and subtle vanilla. It does not last long on me, or rather it gets very shy after 3 hours during wintertime. But on clothes it lasts 24 hours.

This was my white whale for the longest time after hearing it described (sometimes you just know you're going to love something), and I finally found a bottle that would ship to the US. A risky blind buy, but I have no regrets, this is cocoa perfection (and I'm picky when it comes to chocolate scents). This has even dethroned Guerlain's Gourmand Coquin for me.

I've had a bottle of this for quite some time and almost swapped it away but suddenly of late I really appreciate it. It smells exactly like Cadburys dark drinking chocolate mixed with Ovaltine drinking chocolate. I love it so much now I want a back up bottle lol ❤ Delicious ❤

The Perfect Chocolate. Sweet, dark, smooth and longlasting. I love it sooo much! I wish they brought it back, because I've got about 4 ml left, and few bottels spotted online have really sick prices...

If you are a lover of CSP Amour de cacao this is the sister fragrance. WHAT A SILLAGE!

This is absolutely gorgeous. Dark Extacy for me opens with the scent of a Rum & Raisin chocolate truffle type of vibe. As it dries down it becomes a delicious, decedent, dark/milk chocolate combination. This was a blind buy success for me! Definitely the best chocolate scent that I’ve smelt personally. Suitable for cool weather in Spring, Autumn or Winter. This is addictive! 10/10 for the scent, I just wish it was stronger. Maybe it will develop and improve over time, or once it has settled from shipping. I find this pretty weak. It also doesn’t smell anywhere near as nice on clothes, as it does on the skin.

This is a lovely, relaxing, mild warm chocolatey goodness kind of fragrance. Probably the most inoffensive and enjoyable chocolate forward fragrance that I've tried. According to my husband, it smells like a museum. Which may be in fact why I am drawn to it. It's a real shame it's discontinued. 7.5/10

A warm and cuddly dark chocolate fragrance with prominent oriental notes in the drydown. The sillage is limited, though, at least on my skin. I would keep buying if only it lasted longer.

It is very incredibly presented choco scent but also very weak on me. Maybe my sample was vapored a bit tho.

I will never understand why in a world this kind of exquisite fragrances are discontinued so quickly. I was lucky to have a sample of this treasure and just woow. Wow! Tbe most beautiful bitter choco & dark cocoa with a hint of Bourbon vanilla and some mysterious florals inside. I understand it was a limited edition in a 3 fragrance series but it is hard to understand why they stopped the production so quickly... Someone here complains about the sillage: well, please notice this is not Mancera, nor Montale, with that tones of chemichal ingredients. This scent is about raw materials, all natural and that s why the projection is not bombastic. And I really don t need to be like that. The longevity is good, about 4 hours on my skin. I still searching for a bottle - oh, the bottle is so beautiful as well - but as long as eBay have 1 or 2 offers and no less than 150 euro, I can only dream...

I need to write another review/thoughts on Dark Extacy. Divine! High quality perfume that imho, sets a standard in the gourmand category and cocoa based scents. Super delicious bittersweet concoction. So far, the best from the ones I owned and sampled (to name some, Cocoa Tuberose, Pardon, Ore, Chocolate Greedy, Amour de Cacao, Chocolovers, Angel and flankers etc.). I do not smell much of the 3 stages transformation. More on 2 stages but definitely not linear. Even then, The composition was superb. Like a melted 70% cacao bar with a dash of sweetness and a little less of milk/cream. Perfect for cozy nights, by the fireplace. Perfect for outdoor with minus 5 and up temperature. Comforting, sensual and yummy. Best ever, by far.

I FINALLY got my hands on a sample of this and oh my goodness, it smells like creamy hot cocoa! I can't stop sniffing my wrist. Not great projection; it turns into a skin scent pretty quickly on me. This seems like a fragrance that needs to be reapplied every couple of hours, which I would love to do if I didn't only have a tiny amount. If you're selling this PLEASE message me- I would love to get my hands on a full size bottle!

Can someone sell me a sample or the rest of the bottle? I've never smelled this one but the notes and reviews are making me jealous of those who have it. Please! I'll reply to all DMs and am willing to pay a higher price since it's vintage, I'd really like to grow my collection :')
