Io

The fragrance written review has got hardly anything in common with pictured notes below the main photo. Well, what can I say. A naughty little gremlin must have been messing with Editors' desks :-) Io is certainly unusual fragrance as what I detect are fruity citrus-bitter notes in top (very refreshing), the heart feels creamy floral and the base is a sophisticated woody-spicy one. (Really woody!!!) I get hardly any vanilla throughout. Io has certainly rocked my heart, it is such a lovely juice, sparkling at the top and 'maturing' as it dries down. It has great silage and lasting power - the reasons La Perla should get them more on the market! Io is hard to find nowadays, such a shame that the only thing La Perla is bothered about is to promote their very first fragrance with only a handful of others. Io, along with Eclix, deserve much more attention. Both are top quality with outstanding longetivity.

Here we go, I found a lovely shop full of rarities, the private collection of scents from Australia and America and so on. At last I could see Tresor pure perfume, in the shape of a crystal. Sorry for off top) io La Perla is a typical classical perfume for me: it's got the very bitterness which indicates the contradictions of the woman's nature, being weak and gentle, and strong and hard to die at the same time. Also, this fragrance is something about aristocratic, noble, princesslike. Maybe what made me think so is that this perfume is found in the store resembling a museum with carpets and mirrors. Anyway, io is very rich, playful, but fruity notes are quiet enough. I wish everyone gave a touch this and enjoy if it's possible.

Wondering why not all the notes in the description are entered in the section fragrance notes? I was in the store almost all day just testing different perfumes to see which one to get for myself, so I decided on this one. I fell in love with it because it was exquisite, feminine, dainty, floral,with plum and orange and wood notes that settled into a powdery floral scent. So sad that it got discontinued. I see this as a cross between La Dolce Vita and Rogue.

I loved this fragrance so much. It was a warm floral borderline chypre. I remember how empowering, but also feminine it made me feel as a young woman. They don't make fragrances complex like this anymore.
