Aqua Bella

La Rive Aqua Bella is the same scent, but smoother, richer, much longer lasting and projects much better than Armani Acqua di Gioia. One spray of Aqua Bella lasts on my skin for a minimum of 8 hours with moderate projection that softens closer to skin after 6 hours. A little goes a long way, so no need to over spray. This is not a sugary gourmand lemonade scent. Cooling mint, soft spicy pink pepper and peony blend seamlessly with a touch of cedar to keep this perfume from becoming too sweet. Fresh airy lemon with a light touch of jasmine give this perfume a bright, uplifting cooling sensation. The lemon lasts all the way through the dry down. Labdanum is minimal ,hardly noticeable, just enough to lend super long life to this smooth, pretty, sweet, energizing fragrance. If you wear it in an office, only one or two sprays is enough for the entire day ! No need to respray. This baby LASTS ! I'm so glad Ifound Aqua Bella ! It's truly one of the very best summer scents ever made ! Very affordable, too !

I absolutely love this summer freshy that is hauntingly similar to the ADG womens version! I sprayed it 5 hours ago and it’s still projecting, it’s present, fresh, a tiny bit citrusy sweet, and the kind of smell that is a boon to crowded areas with hot human bodies in the summer! There is a turning point, about 95 degrees here in dry heat, where 50% of my fragrances are intolerable. This will be in my summer top 5. I got it for under 15 bucks. My head is spinning! Get this. Ps...also wore this on a rainy day and it occurred to me it goes nicely with the rain vibe. This is turning out to be an all around gentle comfort crowd pleasing scent for me. P. S. I have a mint leaf deodorant that I wear with this on really hot days and it’s an amazingly refreshing combo! 4 sprays Note: wore it to work. 8 hours later I could smell this on myself wafting up and now I know it’s a beast. Very unusual for a fresh, light scent! I was grateful because it was 98 degrees outside!

Very sweet and fresh scent. The perfume is sold by very low price so I was surprised by its high quality. It takes time to settle on the skin but when it does the sweet aromas of mint and lemon take over. The scent is light and delightful with mediocre longevity. Definitely loving it and would buy it again. I love the turquoise color of the fragrance. The whole fragrance reminds me of tropical beach resorts and the ocean. I'm very happy with the great relation of quality and quantity. I'm loving the large, beautiful bottle because I will be wearing this a lot! Huge recommendation!

Omg! I just received this in the mail and i am instantly in love with the scent. This is the type of citrus that i want... light, a bit sweet and not too tart. It reminds me of something that i used to love which i cannot remember the name. The scent is uplifting and smells clean. La Rive brand has continuously impressed me. This house is perfect for people who wants quality products at a fraction of a cost. I own taste of kiss, she is mine, have fun and queen of life. So far i love them all! I can’t wait to try sweet hope, miss dream and wave of love next. Thanks La Rive!

This is no longer “Aqua Bella”. It is now just “Aqua” per La Rive website. I don’t know if there’s also a reformulation. It’s a delicious sunny warm weather scent with moderate longevity and an intimate sillage. I find it to be feminine leaning. It will not offend anyone. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the few scents I find to be acceptable by picky people 😂 it makes a great gift in my opinion. Edit: after doing a through comparison of other perfumes I have with the aromatic note I find Aqua La Rive to have the BEST AROMATIC NOTE hands down. It’s very special ♥️

I can’t believe someone in the reviews below put the word “elderly” in the same sentence with “a woman 50- or so!” As a 51 y.o. I’m reeling 🤯😩 like when are we gonna stop that? But also, onto review update- when the hot weather hits, this is one of my most reached for, uplifting, bright and delicious freshies! Lasting power at about 5-6 hours. Not bad for La Rive! I shared this with my mom on a short vacation and we both kept commenting... you smell amazing! Idk why I get honeydew melon or kiwi, smells fruitier than the notes show.

Acqua di Gio was too aromatic for me. I liked the concept of the scent, but didn't like it on my skin. I like Aqua Bella more as it is somehow fresher and smoother, less aromatic. No, they are not identical. But that's okay. It needs to be refreshed during the day, so take a purse spray if you want it to last more than four hours.

Deliciously refreshing and cooling in the high summer heat. This perfume lasts many hours and smells amazing with a slightly sweet but fresh scent. Not very citrus (thank goodness). I really appreciate when a summer perfume makes the effort to be something other than citrus. This is absolutely stunning in the summer heat.

Wooow. I am pretty blown away by this. Yes, its a fantastic Acqua di Gioia dupe/clone. The performance is insane. Crazy sillage and longevity. I almost find this TOO strong. It's a very fresh, sweet, lemon/mint scent with some woods and florals in the background.

They must be gnashing their teeth at Armani that Acqua di Gioia has been bested by its own dupe. Excellent silage, longevity and price.

Edited to add: review on a summery day. It's indeed pretty and fresh and shines very nicely indeed on the heat. However, unfortunately on me this fragrance seems to disappear much faster on a hot day. It's cheap and the bottle is 100 ml, so it doesn't feel too excessive to re-spray, and it does have an energizing and cooling effect. Just be prepared to have to respray several times during the day! ---- A simple and pretty citrus-green fragrance. Oscillates between a sweet-ish lemon drops scent (fortunately not too sugary) and greener phases where it reminds a bit of crushed herbs mixed with lemon zest. The remaining support notes, on me, indeed are mostly support and the lemon + mint (not spearminty, just a vaguely fresh crushed green plants note which works here) are the main stars. In a cool-ish winter day it's a bit reminiscent of being freshly showered or shampoo'd. I expect it will shine even more in warmer days. Nice, pretty and simple fresh/energizing fragrance. Cannot compare with Acqua di Gioia, but it is nice enough on its own. -- Received an almost full bottle in a giveaway, thanks generous Fragrantican :)

Never came close to Acqua Di Gioia (even tho I spent my late teens wearing Acqua Di Gio as a signature) so I can't compare, I'm reviewing this perfume for itself. It is "heavier" than I was expecting. Opens with a very strong, screechy lemon zest and evolves fast to a minty, sweet lemonade (sometimes the mint note and sugar appear more); then hints of a lovely peony start coming out nicely on my skin. Very classy in a cool way, I like the person I become with this kind of fragrance. I don't feel jasmine, pepper (such a shame - i feel this fragrance could use a little more spice). I'm testing this in Northeast Brazil, 86 F, and it suits well hot weather. Still, I don't feel this is a "beachy" fragrance, it's an elegant spring/summer urban perfume. For uncomplicated days. ETA: The dry down of Aqua reminds me very much of Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiori. They are not similar but have the same vibe.

Don’t ask me why but I’m sticked to this. I mean, it’ fresh summer here, I ordered Aqua Bella because it was cheap (I don’t have any la rive and wanted to check the line), nearly forgot it. I love mouthwatering sweet lemon scents as Versace Eros edt, and the first spray of AB was just a meh: Bland lemon, a drop a something sweet, an undefined flower and some light woody dry down. But. I started to wear it again and again, sometimes layered with Eros, sometimes alone. It doesn’t last very long but I have expensive bottles actually shorter. I don’t even have to think about it, it a my kind of default scent. I grab the nice bottle, and use it. Everyday. I don’t know how long it will be, I’m not loyal or faithful to any parfume during a long time, let’s be honest. It’s a little cheap, a little light, a little fresh, a little sparkling, a little serious. It’ my I don’t care-parfume. Nice !

I bought this one because I was looking for a fresh, inoffensive gym fragrance, and Acqua di Gioia, which this is meant to dupe, showed up over and over on the lists of gym fragrances that I found. My husband told me it kind of smelled like my skin after being in the pool, which is the highest compliment he has ever given a fragrance. I have noticed that depending on the temperature, the top can smell completely different. Some days all I get is a very floral mint which reminds me of a bath and body works spray I had when I was very young, and other days it is like a very tart lemonade. There is some sweetness here, but not so much that it is cloying in warmer weather. As a gym fragrance, this does exactly what I hoped it would.

This opens extremely heavy on the mint note. It is too much in the beginning. However, it is a very realistic, fresh, muddled mint leaf scent. After about 45 minutes, the mint calms down and the lemon and peony start to come through. I don't get any brown sugar at all, either in the opening or the dry down. This is not sweet at all to me and does not have a warm depth that brown sugar can give either. This is a very refreshing scent for hot spring and summer days. Do I like it more than Acqua di Gioia from Giorgio Armani?? No, as this is not as rounded and smooth as Acqua di Gioia, but I do like this dupe. 7/10 rating

I really don't like to buy dupes, I just don't like to spend money on them even if they are cheap. I don't even know why I purchased this one but I really don't regret it! It was 5 dollars, it smells exactly like the original aqua di gioia. I always get compliments when I wear this, people love this scent on me. On my skin it lasts 5-6hours, on clothes 24!

wow this stuff is strong. I was looking for a cheap perfume for everyday use since I only work from home, and this was such a good purchase. Its probably one of my longest lasting fragrances, and its the cheapest too. Its a cool, citrusy, woody fragrance and to my nose it smells slightly unisex. Its beautiful for summer, and I’ll definitely repurchase.

Sweet, crisp, fresh, summery--and like summer, so fleeting! For ten bucks, though, I don't feel that I can complain. Also, my skin makes short work of even the most Godzilla-esque of fragrances, so Aqua's relative lack of longevity is at least in part (pretty literally) on me. Layers well with other fresh, citrus, and aquatic scents.

I had on the left hand Armani Acqua di Gioia and on the right hand La rive Aqua Bella. Armani smells sweeter the first 15 minutes on the skin than Bella. Must be the ethylmaltol. Bella smells fresher and less sweet on the beginning. But in the drydown there ist no difference between the both perfumes!
