Elegant Woman

I had zero interest in the Baccarat hype, partly because I didn't find the notes appealing, partly because of the popularity. I never even tried it, I had no idea if anyone I know or met uses it. A few weeks ago I was testing a few fragrances in the local drugstore as there was an insane sale, but I didn't find anything for my liking. Suddenly I saw this on one of the bottom shelves and decided to give it a try 'just to know what this fuss is all about'. I sprayed one on a paper strip and oh god, it was amazing! Then I sprayed one on my wrist. At the first few seconds I smelt something unpleasant I didn't smell on the paper, so I thought it doesn't work with my chemistry. But after a few minutes there was nothing but that sweet delicious scent. I immediately understood why Baccarat is so hyped and knew I lost and just have to buy it :D I smell absolutely no medicinal note, only fluffy sweetness. It reminds me of a big cup of hot vanilla milk with marshmallows, it truly is heavenly. The scent is quite strong, even though this is a cheap dupe, so I recommend spraying it with a light hand, only 2-3 sprays are enough, more can be overpowering and nauseating. The longevity is tricky - I feel as it fades quickly in the first 30 minutes (this is when I have to resist the urge to spray more), but after an hour or so it "comes back" and stays for hours, even days on clothes. It's definitely worth the price and the quality of the scent is surprisingly good for a dupe, doesn't smell cheap at all.

La Rive Elegant Woman: -Look, loads of the reviews are written here, because this perfume tries to blatantly copy Baccarat Rouge (marketing and design wise). At the steep price point od 15 euros, I dont even know how it could compare, thats what I will state for starters.- This perfume is perfect combination of sweet and floral. On the first spray, it smells like velvet skin of someone you love. Like summer days on vacation. It smells like sun, frolicking with no problems and red lipgloss. It is not overly sweet like Cloud, it is just right.❤️❤️❤️ Age wise this is for someone younger, im thinking tween teen girl. This could be her first interaction with perfume. It lasts up to fricking ten hours, my flat smells like this, my outside clothes smell for weeks after this. My friends compliment me, my family compliments me, this is really the perfume that can satisfy anyone and the price point is beautiful. Do not be shy, you can buy this for your daughter or niece, it doesnt break a buck, smells nice and she cal feel like a queen of the world. I'm twenty and I still like to reach for this on the days when I cannot be bothered to use designer. Just try it, dont be judgmental.

Smells like Cloud, but the longevity??? I sprayed it on me in the shop and by 10 mins it was gone completely. Loved the fragrance, but even for this cheap I couldn't bare spending any money for such fart like longevity.

A lot like red temptation by zara and therefore BR 540?, but can't smell this one anymore after one/two hours. It's suited to wear to places where you don't want other people to be aware you are wearing perfume.

I love this one actually! It's feminine, elegant, and notes I'm getting most are amber & vanilla. I didn't expect it to be this good since it costs only 7€.

Ariana Grande cloud, having them both sprayed on next to each other hard to tell the difference

This fragrance is like my guilty pleasure. I’m not sure I would wear it, but I definitely want to keep sniffing it. Elegant Woman belongs to a strong and distinct scent profile that may not appeal to everyone. This one sits in your nose for a while and you can get imaginary whiffs from just thinking about it. If you don’t like it, too bad. It will still always be there in the back of your mind. And on everyone’s neck lol. Some of you just love to hate it... To me it’s about 90% similar to Cloud. Only up close you can detect a small difference. It’s very powerful and 2-3 sprays are more than enough. If I keep the bottle out in a room (with the cap on) I can smell its presence. The scent itself is very sweet, warm and spicy. A bit masculine on my skin with the fir resin and cedar base. Just as Cloud gets a bit masculine with the lavender and woody notes. This one smells expensive and more mature. It suits a woman over the age of 25. I absolutely don’t agree with people saying it’s for teen girls etc. Baccarat Rouge 540 is about 300€. I paid 5€ for Elegant Woman which is more than enough to satisfy my occasional cravings for basically the same scent.

I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. Yesterday I wrote a comment about a similar scent (Makeup Revolution - Creative) and today I also have Elegant Woman at home. I find it a bit lighter and more airy, but the sweetness is there, it just does not overpower it unnecessarily. I tried it on a fairly warm day (dry heat) and if applied really gently, it is a nice scent. I think the specific scent is saffron, because Baccarat and its imitations always contain this ingredient. The bottle is also quite nice, more sophisticated (compared to Creative). Compared to Cloud, I do not smell that disinfectant smell. It is a light cotton candy with a forest touch. I read somewhere that these types of scents smell nice in dry weather, while with increasing humidity it is not the right thing, but it is a matter of perception for each of us. Yes, I could recommend it :-)

From the first snif you feel that iodic smell, mostly I would hate such smell. After like 10 minutes from pharmacy smell I went to barbie doll head smell...If you know you know ... So I am mixing pharmacy and barbie doll smell.... For me that kind of smell would be chocking, but not in this case. So I ended up loving it, just because it smells different and not killing buggs around. I would not recommend this perfume in autumn time, because I feel like there is soap in my mouth, which I didn't had when I was wearing this perfume in summer time. maybe it's my skin chemisty and it will not be the same for others, but for me it ended up like this. LONGEVITY : is around 3 hr, maybe more... depends on conditions. SILLAGE : is moredate ...not killing. NAME : " Pharmacist Barbie doll"

Forget Baccarat Rouge 540, this smells nothing alike—no oakmoss, no airy spun sugar, none of the plasticky "latex glove" aspect that makes the OG so instantly recognizable. But it's so nice. Dry, amber-woody, foresty type of smell. 100% VFM.

Smells like sexy tupperware (but in the best way). Once you get over the plasticy smell, it's giving weirdly intoxicating and nostalgic 2000s It-Girl in the locker room. Can't say anything bad for that price!

This lowkey reminds me of going to the doctors cause it smells like rubber gloves and hand sanitizer. Dare i say that i like it?😭 like it’s nothing i’d wear when going out but it’s weirdly good

Smells excactly like Ariana Grande - Cloud to me. Delicious scent for summer, but can quickly become too much if sprayed too much or too frequent, as its very sweet.

Like most (if not all?) La Rive dupes - the smell is ok, I like BR in itself, but the longevity is very poor. I can't smell it on myself after about 2 hours.

It smells like a hospital but in the best way possible. Really long-lasting on clothes. Maybe overused DNA.

I sometimes find myself trying cheapies when browsing a store for groceries, so tried a few sprays from La Rive... and one of them caught my attention (however, shortly) — Elegant Woman is another cheap wanna-smell-like Baccarat Rouge but smells of synthetic ambergris and only lasts 15 minutes on skin. Let’s respect the art of perfumery and not insult the original brand and perfumer by saying “this is the exact copy of X” when it’s NOT! And you definitely can’t lie to yourself when spraying this on thinking « it will pass as Baccarat » because who ever tries will feel cheap and be a fraud. I’ve had Baccarat Rouge for years and would not trade my original high quality perfume for this splash of alcohol spray. I’d rather save my $10 for a concentrated room spray from Bath & Body Works, lasts much longer in the restroom! ___ Projection, sillage, longevity : 0,5/10 Originality, presentation : 0/10 Quality, value : 0/10 0/10

Don't blind buy this like me. It's a good perfume, smells more expensive. I like the bottle too. Very warm, spicy scent. Almost like fresh fir resin from the tree. Little bit nauseating to me unfortunately.

Disinfectant smell, it really smells like doctors office, the longer I wear it the worst it gets. Sticks to my nose. Really long lasting after 12 hours I still feel it on my skin.

I have finally found one ☝️ perfume that I totally despise. La Rive Elegant Woman is anything but an elegant fragrance for women. For its pricing, the bottle has a good packaging and functional fine mist spray that some high-end perfumes fail to have. I’d describe this fragrance as the most cloying and offensive product La Rive has ever produced. Not only is it overly saturated with the alcohol, it is also inflexible with the seasons and not suitable to any life events. Most of my clients lean towards to use this perfume and I have to air out my studio after they leave.

Stinks.... Just like the original. It's too much amber that makes my head hurt and nauseous. 🤢🤢🤢

What's with La Rive's new bottle designs?! I don't like them, they scream cheap half-assed perfume from discount beauty stores. A less sweet Cloud, more minty, a bit citrusy at first, less resinous ambery less syrupy than Tease Creme Cloud (my fav preferred choice in the BR clan), a much lighter BR540, much lighter than VS Midnight Bloom. Not loud it won't project much. In this case being lighter is good cuz Cloud was too distracting to me being so sweet and everyone at Walmart in KY always wore Cloud and it suffocated me. I didn't repurchase Cloud once I ran out of my travel size. It's slightly botanical as BBW In the Stars but that one is more herbal on me. Beloved scents for me in this same league are VS Pink Water Astrology mist and KKW Opal Drip. This pairs well with Scandal Le Parfum - I know random, but I tested this while I was wearing Le Parfum and they smelled great together, it complemented the fresh floral aspect of dewy jasmine and the play doh caramel salt essence of it. I didn't realize they made a BR540 dupe while living in the States. Now I'm in Europe so I bought it from a Polish website.

This is really a great dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540!!! Unfortunately I couldn't do a side by side comparison, because Baccarat Rouge 540 isn't for sale in Utrecht, where I live, but Elegant Woman smells like what I remember Baccarat Rouge 540 smelling like. The longevity is great, I sprayed it on my wrist yesterday, and I can still smell it, 20 hours later!!! And that for a cheap ass dupe € 9,95 for only 100 ml!

Very similar to cloud, but not Baccarat. Cloud has a more of a coconut heavy note. This is sweeter and I actually get a cinnamon scent from it. My husband said cloud smells like cinnamon and I never got that. Now I get it. For this price this is very nice. But there are far better dupes for Baccarat Rouge. The closest dupe too Baccarat is Nude Beauty courage fragrance. Please add it here.

i wasnt a fan at first since it was quite alcoholic and light, then it smelt kinda funky after i left it in the bathroom (i take hot showers hahah). now it was standing with the cap off on our balcony for like half a year, and it smells so good, kinda woody ??? and the alcoholic note is gone

It’s a Baccarat Rouge clone for 6€, smells exactly like it. One spray on my skin lasted 6 hours, very good quality and longevity for that price. The smell stays on the skin even after you shower. Smells pleasant, it doesn't smell cheap.

Clone also to the main accord of Kalan, which should be obvious given that reviewers below feel it's a harsher and masculine Baccarat R...But what a name!

This smells and last on my skin for very long , it smells amaizing for 7 $ , and the same Dna like B540 - on my skin..
