Extreme Story

Soapy Sauvage. Very similar in the air, lasts decent. Can smell it close to skin for hours but at this price, spray away and dont think about it. It smells really close to Sauvage. Fresh and soapy clean. Wont replace Sauvage but will definitely be a fast grab when I want put something on and walk out to a store or a coffee so they will smell it on me for that hour. I carry it in my back pack for a quick sptay when I need it. I sure as hell wouldnt carry a bottle of Sauvage or Aventus in my backpack just like that, that I throw around. I have Brave Man which is Invictus and Password which is Armani Code. Both are so so close to OGs but last poorly. Again, for that price... I got a few bottles of each and was complimented for wearing Invictus, Code and Sauvage. People like what they smell and what they smell is similar to those frags. Hey why not save OGs and sometimes put La Rive dupes. They smell close, very nice and its not like they are gone in half an hour. Beats wearing any deodorant.

With a price tag of $9-$12 for 3.4 oz. it’s incredible. Yes, it smells a lot like Sauvage and lasts a good 5 hours. Nice Sauvage-ish bottle and is a great alternative for when you want to smell like Dior, but you’re not going somewhere particularly fancy and don’t want to waste the good stuff.

Smells great for the pricepoint. Smells like a fresh good weather versatile fragrance. Ofcourse you cant compare this to a 100 euro fragrance but for 10 its great. Got alot of compliments with this on hot days.

Smells clean and fresh, not overly citrus, has a sun dried clean clothes character which I find soft and pleasing. Very worth for the price point. Atomizer is great.

Sillage = 5/10 Projection = 6/10 Longevity = 6/10 Dupe of Sauvage. It remains like that before it disappears 2-3 hours later. Good fragrance with good price

Extreme Story, this right here is the Dior Sauvage clone of La Rive. Not Just on Time, that's Pure XS. Not Black Soul, that's Hugo Soul. No Extreme Story is. Actually, Extreme Story is a bit more of Sauvage's Very Cool Spray open minus the grapefruit with a slight Jimmy Choo Man Blue base due to a slight leather note. It has a brighter open than most Sauvage clones. which go for the darker ambrox fragrances. Due to the pepper note being replaced by cardamom and amber which replaces ambroxan/amber wood sticking to the base, it shouldn't give you a headache. Sauvage like a fewer other pepper heavy fragrances are prone to give headaches. That is a major plus in Extreme Story, compared to most Sauvage clones. The notes I mostly get is the bergamot, the lavender, the cardamom, the amber and the vetiver. The elemi, geranium and leather notes are there, but they aren't strong. I can hardly detect mountain air or rose in the fragrance. Extreme Story's weakness if there is any is La Rive performance. I get 3/4 hours. Belcam Primitive Man can at least give me 5/6 for the same price range. Overall Extreme Story is only a like to me at a 7. Now a 7 isn't bad since I rated Playboy New York at 7.3 but love it. However, Extreme Story's strength is doing what Dior Very Cool Spray does but in a proper EDT. That said, performance is the problem here, like most La Rives.

Tried this in a local DM store and actually it's not that bad, especially for the price. Very masculine and spicy. At first I didn't like it, but after about 2-3 minutes it was really nice. Bad performance of course, but what did you expect? :P Age group: 20+ I'd say and season: spring & fall I didn't smell Dior Sauvage yet, but I will compare them and update this review. Sprayed this on my left hand and on my right hand I put Cuba Gold, to my nose they have a similar vibe. Edit: Not very similar to Sauvage, but still a great scent.

One of those cheap, spray on every day 'freshen up while avoiding the good stuff' type of products. Its nice as a daytime fragrance for lounging around at home. On its own, it is reminiscent of Sauvage, then compare it side by side and there is no comparison. Funny how the mind can play tricks on you like that without a point of reference. Its pretty stong too, I get wafts of it for 3-4hrs before it starts to wear off. All in all, worth a try for less than £10 for a 100ml

Great Dior Sauvage alternative for a fraction of the price. Payed 14$ for a set with a deodorant spray. Smells exactly like Sauvage BUT, without all the metallic sharpness and the depth of smells that Sauvage offer. If you don't like the strong metallic smells from the original Sauvage, like I did, you might like this. Performance max 5 hours on my skin with moderate towards weak projection. Not bad at all

Oli G is absolutely right. This is Dior sauvage with hint of soapy clean. It kinda reminds me of Mont blanc Individuel. Compare to Emper Toolbox, i actually prefer this one. Its calmer and more relaxing not really in your face. Alcohol bomb in the beginning but thats ok since its very cheap, good balsamic root beer type that smells warm and addictive, and lavender. Right. OK. Im so glad we all now know a €7 fragrance is not as good as a €70 one. I'll remeber that when I spray my curtains with it, because it smells perfectly nice for that purpose. For using down the gym, or even for walking the dog. Occasions when Sauvage is just overkill

For 10 bucks you cant get a better summer fragrance than this, I get a lot of compliments on summer days but on skin it flies whiten 2 hours on shirts it lasts around 5-6 hours. The smell is fresh and fruity

Good alternative if you want Sauvage Dior but can’t afford. Nice fragrance if you don’t need something extra like to go to shop or a stroll in park

I've gotten some compliments with this but it is very synthetic and not that good quality.

This is what I get from Extreme Story: Imagine Sauvage, remove all of the ambroxan and metallic notes (which are what give Sauvage its mysterious, dynamic and attractive energy). Extreme Story takes the floral "clean/ soapy" DNA component of Sauvage (not a perfect copy, but similar) and presents it without any ambroxan or metal notes. Extreme Story also has a stronger pepper note than the real Sauvage. It also lacks in performance as expected. Depending on what you want, it may satisfy your needs or it may not. For someone who isn't 100% dedicated to fragrance, but just wants to smell pleasant, it may be a worthy purchase. Not enough of a copy to wear in stead of Sauvage, but nice enough independently of Sauvage for a non-dedicated user.

I have seen La Rive fragrances here and there but have always dismissed them since most cheap supermarket perfumes smell really bad, but a friend recommended me to try this one. Opening is almost identical to Sauvage. It remains like that before it disappears 2-3 hours later. Sauvage has a more peppery-spicy ambroxan dry down which this one obviously lacks. Sauvage is really not my favourite fragrance and for 7€ one cannot expect too much, but I must say it’s good overall, to use as a quick fresh up , like before going to the gym or running errands.

Obviously a cheap fragrance you buy from supermarkets or cheap cosmetic shops when you are on the road. It tries to replicate Sauvage in a way with the opening but after 30 minutes on skin you will need to smell it directly over the spot you sprayed it on no matter if its a "pulse point" or not. It stays a little bit more on the clothes without staining them so I would say it's a pretty safe fragrance for gym or a quick shop stop if you like to smell fresh at all times, definitely wouldn't use it for anything else.

Este é uma opção "low cost", que dá oportunidade para quem não está querendo gastar muito ou precisa economizar. Um barato para dia a dia inspirado em um exemplar reconhecidíssimo no mercado para usar sem restrição, borrifando continuamente várias vezes. Isto posto, ele é bastante honesto. Versátil, agradável e fresco. Obs.: em meu exemplar o borrifador está horrível. Não comprarei novamente, pois há muitos outros para provar por aí com mesmo valor, mas estou contente com esta minha compra!

Good Sauvage clone or alternative (not the same quality of course Sauvage is a Dior), has the spicyness & metallicness but doesn't have the soapy/shower gel clean accord as Sauvage; Performance is Decent, the syntheticness actually allows it to project enough to be noticed at least the 1st hr or so, and last about 5 hours. Also, Police Deep Blue smells a lot like La Rive Extreme Story, and is another good Sauvage clone or alternative.

After spraying the original and this dupe , they smelled almost identical with some minor differences. After they dried down however the difference is huge. While Dior sauvage had this thick flowery smell at the end the dupe had this very unpleasant alcohol smell with some citrus. I definitely prefer the original but wouldn't mind using this as a quick scent for those in and out moments.

Close to Dior Sauvage in the opening but the more it dries down, the worse it becomes. Got headache the last time i wore it. Price value wise - for 8€ its okayish, tho smells cheap and synthetic. Becomes skin scent after 20 minutes. Wouldn’t recommend it unless there’s no other options for that price.

Smells ok for the price. Starts off like a fruitier sauvage when you first spray it on then dries down into a sweet synthetic mess.

Please read until the end! I will start this review by saying that I generally like la rive woman perfumes edp. Now about extreme story well it is another story. First the smell is quite good, remind me of Dior sau age but very tone down ,so lite but without any pepper nother and almost no ambroxan :( Unfortunately it last just an hour and no projection at all but the price is less than 10 box for 100 ml so it serve only 2 purposes. 1. At the gym after the shower. 2. Or in the car as a back up I prefer from far Brave from la rive ,it last 4 to 5 hours and project for an hour if you spayed 8x And the smell is fantastic, p.r. Invictus ( not smells synthetic at all) Than Hitfire which is simply a great clone of first batch of Dior Fahrenheit. It last 3 to 4 hours and project 1 hour Only 10 $ Peace

I'm the type of guy that doesn't spend the money on the expensive stuff if I can buy similar for the less. I had Sauvage and wanted for some reason to be reminded of it. I bumped on La Rive by people saying it is a great clone of Sauvage. So, I got straight to the store and bought it without a sniff. It was only like 8$. To make story short- it is nothing like Sauvage. It is a synthetic mess that I sprayed only on occasion and prayed that the bottle empties quickly (but it didn't like with all bad scents as opposite to good scents which seem to evaporate :) ) It is cheap and you can smell it. Too bad.

Full spice attack. Like name says, extreme. Gave this bottle away after one try. I thought this is good one, because tester was empty in shop, so I blind bought it. Mistake. If there is need to say good thing from this, it does not hold that La rive signature cheapish cedar tone at all. Probably they are evolving... lol.

I got gifted this for my birthday a few years ago never opened it, i tried it now it smells absolutley horrible, i coughed when i smelled it of how strong and synthetic it was, i dont know how are people in these comments saying its a good dupe of sauvage

Smelled this at a friends house, it made me genuinly sick. such a bad synthetic attempt to clone sauvage. I dont like sauvage either, but can tolerate it. This i cant... at all...

La Rive Extreme Story is a Dior Sauvage clone but there are some differences. Other then the quality differences, this one lacks the pepper and ambroxan of the original and there is a positive and a negative to that. Without those aspects of the original Sauvage, this fragrance doesn't have that jagged sharp fresh spicy peppery quality that puts off alot of people. The negative is, what you are left with is the most generic shower gel scent imaginable and Dior is already hated for being way too basic. This is even more so, its in the realm of fragrances such as Str8 or Adidas. It literally smells like a Nivea men's shower gel. Its not a bad scent at the end of the day, for 8$ as a fragrance to spray on before going to the supermarket or running some quick errands, it does the job. Longevity is what is to be expected, a few hours at most, maybe less then 4 but atleast it smells fresh and clean, like you just came out of the shower with a towel still wraped around your waist haha.

I own both this and the Sauvage. Extreme story is very, very close to DS. Where they differ is that Extreme story is more fresh, more citrus and pepper where the Sauvage has more soapy character. Fresh out of the bottle they're pretty far from each other, but give it few minutes on the skin and the extreme story grows very close to the original. Id say about 90%. The good thing for me is that they fade still smelling fresh and retain the lime, pepper notes where with the Sauvage - at the end of the day you end up smelling like your grandparent's soap and some musk which is why I prefer the cheaper option . Extreme Story's performance is on the weak side, yet at this pricepoint it is to be expected.

Funny how people hate on this. Everything that is said and hated about this, is exactly the same I hate about Dior Sauvage. At least this way you can smell bad for cheap 😜
