Fleur Antique

I don't like sweet scents. I don't like gourmands. And I fear I'm bit of a perfume snob so I usually don't try perfumes that are sold in simple drugstores... but this is a super sweet, gourmand drugstore scent that I'm craving for all day now. I love this, it feels so good, God knows why... it was super cheap and now I use this every day as bedtime scent. It's so cosy, enveloping and it makes me feel good. A huge positive surprise. Sillage and longevity are really good as well. I'm not familiar with Vanilla 28 so have no idea if they're similar, but this is just gorgeous! 'Interesting fact': if you look at the pyramid of notes, well, it's precisely the same as Lancome's La Vie est belle's (OG EDP), though there's no resemblance in the scents... LOL...

this genuinely smells so close to kayali 28 (if not IMO better, because I wasn't a huge fan of the original) and it lasts all day with just a couple sprays!! I've only worn it a few times but have already gotten 2 compliments on it. I think that if you like vanilla and gourmand scents you'd love this, especially considering how affordable it is. Great for layering too!

I want to gatekeep this so badly but it's an EXCELLENT and so affordable alternative to Vanilla 28 that should put Kayali to shame that this affordable perfume exists at like 6-7 euros with better performance than V28.

I own and love the original, and this was so cheap I figured it would be good for layering. I was really pleasantly surprised. This is lovely sugary simplistic vanilla which smells close to the original. Like so many La Rive fragrances opens a bit alcoholic but more boozy and I would say it's an improvement in quality for them. Performance seem to be similar to original, perhaps even more long lasting and stays close to skin.

This is NOT vanille 28. The alcohol smell goes away quickly. A ambery somewhat floral vanilla stays. If you want a dupe of V28 there are much better ones. Am I still recommending this? Absolutely!!! For the price you really can’t go wrong with it!! It’s very vanilla beany for me! (: -M206

More mature than most vanillas, this isn't a teen fragrance. The initial scent is a bit too dark and feminine for my taste but the dry down is delicious. Just a very soft sophisticated vanilla.

No idea where Fragrantica got these notes from?! Top notes Jasmine, Vanilla Orchid Middle notes Brown Sugar, Tonka Beans Base notes Amber, Patchouli, Musk Supposed to be Vanilla 28 but it’s much more chemically that the Kayali. I’m not mad for the OG but it’s much better than Fleur Antique. La Rive have fallen down the screechy, tarry and bitter aroma chemical well it seems as the recent releases all smell poison out to me. If you like Quentin Bisch or Lattafa perfumes you probably won’t know what I’m talking about but if you know, you know!

Can’t really say if it is vanilla 28 as I have only ever tried a dupe for it. It’s a boozy vanilla with brown sugar aspect and really delicious. Well, it’s delicious for about 10 min then I am completely unable to smell it unless I stick my nose in my wrist. I’ve tried it in several stores now together with other people, and we all bemoaned the weakness of it. I have another dupe from a different company and it is more powerful and lasts at least 2 hours. I’m still looking for a much longer lasting dupe though, but I won’t be buying Fleur Antique (The notes on here are complete BS, La Rive are known for writing fairly accurate notes on their website but not the exact notes; you’ll find those on their note picture where they put every note from the original on. Not sure why but I guess they don’t want to seem to obvious?)

Its boozy ambery vanilla and similar to vanilla 28 (on my skin at least). Maybe a bit too heavy for me for the sunny spring, I think I’ll go back to it in autumn or winter or try layering it with something airy and light.

The notes are entirely wrong, this is an almost 1:1 dupe to Kayali Vanilla 28. Very affordable too, worth a shot if you’d like an alternative that’s accessible in the EU
