Hitfire

So here is a solid review. I won’t name names but I can’t stand when people review a cologne with one sentence. You may be stating your opinion, but it’s not helping others to make a potential blind buy, which is what we’re supposed to be trying to be doing with our reviews in this community. A commenter bellow said this lasts 10 minutes, that’s a little over dramatic. There is no way in hell this lasts 10 minutes, as I tried this on several people and the time lasted on each of them ranged from 2-6 hours. I paid 15 bucks for a cologne that has similarities to Fahrenheit cologne and lasts between 2-6 hours. What more do you want? To my nose this is much closer to Dunhill Fresh, but doesn’t have quite the same performance. I absolutely love this stuff and I have no regrets. My only complaint is that out of the box there was a serious cap issue which I can’t stand with a new bottle that’s sealed. I actually had to change the cap because it wouldn’t spray out the juice properly So for this reason alone I would not buy again, but I’ll have no problems using up this juice. Obviously the violet is the star in this one, but this one differs in the mid and drydown from Fahrenheit with the flower they’ve used in the pyramid, in the end you can still slightly pick up the citrus and musk. You could do way worse. 6/10 for me.

La Rive is the kind of house that I tend to avoid when it comes to inexpensive fragrances, since most of it's fragrances which are clones come to me smelling synthetic and/or cheap. Hitfire however is an exception. It smells rather pleasant and I do not get low quality from it. Obviously it is a clone of Dior's Fahrenheit, but I would call it a clone with a twist, maybe I would even call it an interpretation. Although it has the petrol and burnt rubber smell which Fahrenheit is infamous for, Hitfire takes a rather different turn with it's tone without losing charm. Now here's what I like about this fragrance: I own a modern version of Fahrenheit, never have I owned or smelled the vintage version so I can't compare the two. However when I smell Hitfire, It is how I imagine vintage Fahrenheit smelled. Of course I could be wrong with such a statment, but it is just how it makes me think. For a cheapie it is a very solid fragrance: deep, charismatic, masculine and I would even say hypnotic.

La Rive Hitfire is actually a pretty decent fragrance for the minimal price. As a matter of fact YouTube reviewer Gents Scents (Ashton) said it was one of the most authentic clones of Dior's Fahrenheit he had ever tested. I personally think it's like a lite version of Fahrenheit sort of like Fahrenheit Eau Fraiche! However I personally feel this is best when mixed 50/50 with Dunhill Fresh. The result is extremely close to the now discontinued Fahrenheit Aqua! Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed with this fine gem!

I have this, smells, to me, nearly IDENTICAL to Dior's Fahrenheit. Even my dad agrees (and his friend, who's a huge Fahrenheit fan). Maybe not as "complex" as the original, but Hitfire is a solid extraction of Fahrenheit's DNA. It's longevity and projection improves the more time passes since you've bought it. It could last for 8+ hours now. You should smell Dior's Fahrenheit at a store, and then decide if you want to buy Hitfire Man or not. It's a heavy scent and might not pleases everyone. So it's not blind buy safe.

I’m not a big fan of perfume copies. I never smelled Dior Fahrenheit, but this perfume reminds me of AB Diavolo. Very manly, very deep woody-musky-floral perfume. Spices are not listed as component, but I feel a little pepper-like character on my skin. This is a well balanced, beautiful perfume. At this price /4 Euro in a supermarket/ is ridiculously cheap, hidden gem.

it's a summer version of Fahrenheit, and one of my favorites. doesn't project, never bothers me, smells great- like skin after cold shower can't smell it all the time, after applying 5 sprays on the neck of my shirt, it shows unexpectedly every now and then through the whole day. and the most important, I've never regret for applying it

I bought it for about 5 euros. Smells very, very good, for me it smells better than actual formulation of Fahrenheit, but projection is weak. Good for office, where you want a discreet perfume. Logevity is OK, I smell it on the skin even after 7-8 hours. But it smells stronger only in first 1-2 hours. For the price it's OK, IMHO.

Hitfire is 100% masculine stuff for men who like subtle fragrances Opening smells like bunch of violets in petrol station, after thirty minutes it turns into smell of burning Zippo lighter and musk, lasts whole day. five+ sprays will fill the office, and people will ask "what's burning?" so don't do it, use three sprays at most.

As many have pointed out it resembles Dior's Fahrenheit pretty closely. Starts with a peppery gasoline type beat, dries down to a gasoliney type beat. It has to be my favorite La Rive fragrance. Although, its one of those things I wear for myself as I am yet to meet a woman who likes this "just-outta-garage" type smell.

Can't go wrong with this if you are looking for a Fahrenheit clone. It's definitely missing the strong gasoline undertones that the Fahrenheit has, but its still lingering there. You can spray this all you want with how cheap it is, if you don't like the performance, save your bottle of Dior!

My boyfriend wears this and it’s so sexy, especially when it combines with his natural scent. It’s incredibly masculine. It’s fresh but spicy with a hint of pine almost. It makes my bf smell like he’s just been sitting at a campfire in the woods overlooking a lake. 10/10

To me it smells a lot like juniper trees, with violets and musk. Its very masculine. Smells like denim aftershave to me. And i dont smell gasoline in it. Not overly warm. It doesnt smell cheap, longevity and sillage is very decent for the price too. I reccomend

i got my boyfriend this ages ago. he loves it and so do iiii.. its very masculine, doesnt smell cheap at all. makes me want to GENUINELY climb him.

it's a soft version of Fahrenheit! It's not IN your face like the CD. I buy this now and then for my husband .

So after sometime, well over three years, I finally got Hitfire a while back. Hitfire is really the best of the La Rive fragrances I own. I got thus, Extreme Story, Just On Time, Mr. Sharp and Password when a retailer had a La Rive deal. Hitfire lives up to the hype in my 6 balloon review. While it isn't as strong as vintage Fahrenheit, it is roughly equal to Ferrari Uomo. Hitfire is more violet than Uomo while Uomo is more leathery. This makes sense since Hitfire has violet in the open and mid while Uomo doesn't and Hitfire doesn't have a leather note but Uomo does. Violet is the main note you'll get in Hitfire and it is petrolic. It isn't full on Fahrenheit gasoline, but it will be similar. Jasmin and cedar are also noticeable in Hitfire. Hitfire performs slighter than Uomo. In a way it is a fraiche take on Fahrenheit. If that is what the Aqua and Cologne flankers did and you like it, Hitfire is for you. That said, unlike Aqua and Cologne, I would not suggest Summer wear for Hitfire. Hitfire should work for dates but beware it may give off a dad vibe especially if you're date's father wore Fahrenheit. Hitfire and Ferrari Uomo aren't super redundant even if they are both Fahrenheit clones. That said if you only want one Uomo is quality and performs better, though I heard rumors of Uomo being among the discontinued Ferrari fragrances and have seen higher prices for it. If it is not as available, Hitfire is a good substitute to Ferrari Uomo. Though if you have Fahrenheit, both are redundant. Hitfire is a solid 7.8 out of 10. I would rate it higher if it was less dense and had a little bit better performance. It is the best performer and best smelling La Rive fragrance however.

This one is almost exact clone of the new reformulated version of Fahrenheit by Dior (more powdery, soapy and less petrol, leather). But it smell very nice and everything would be great if the longevity was not an absolute joke! It last 20-30 minutes tops, and with almost none projection! Definitely not worth to bother, even for the very low price of 10$ for the 90ml! UPDATE: After using this for a few days, I notice that on clothes it last little bit longer, maybe 1-2 hours (if you stick your nose in the place that was sprayed), but still, zero projection! Definitely not worth it! If you like Fahrenheit and you want something very similar, go for the "Milton Lloyd The Man Cobalt". Awesome scent that last (maybe even more than the original), and very, very cheap.

I need to defend this scent. Yes, it's a Fahrenheit dupe. Yes, it's not exactly like Fahrenheit, but let's be honest, the current formulation of Fahrenheit is also a faint dupe of the original, however it's still more complex and leathery compared to Hitfire. There's no leather here, although the scent itself is very good if you like Fahrenheit. Sillage is not so good, it radiates well in the first hour, you can still smell it in the first 2-3 hour, after that it sits on the skin, however longevity is not that bad, on clothes I can still smell it the day after. What happenes here, is that people become noseblind to it somehow, but trust me, it's there. For the price, It's a steal, I will buy another bottle for sure.

08/22 Hitfire is not bad by any stretch of the imagination. It is a Fahrenheit clone, but it is toned down in the strength of the projection and it sweeter and more synthetic to my nose. For the price you pay, easier nose and the size of the bottle this is great, but you will notice a huge difference on quality compared to Milton Lloyd The Man Cobalt which is cheaper and a much stronger performer all-round. 08/23 Had the bottle sitting in my locker at work for over a year and now it has had time to mature somewhat, the indiviual notes are working together better and the scent has improved in a good way. Not all of the fragrances I have and tried over the years get better with age but this has surprised me.

For a cheapie that smells very close to Dior Fahrenheit..why not? If you don't want to burn out your bottle of Dior then just reapply this every 3-4 hours. I would call it a travel frag. When I go RVing or travel I don't carry my more expensive frags. I take a few cheapos. Many of them are clones so I can still have my favorites without taking the higher priced ones. I think its a decent purchase for a clone.

I smelt this at Fragrance Outlet tonight, along with a LOT of other fragrances, but this smelt AMAZING. I smelt tested Dior Fahrenheit at Sephora months back and honestly it smelt semi-weak. This however, was strong burnt tire. I say that as someone who is a gear-head and love love loves that smell. This is more Fahrenheit than Fahrenheit is now. I want it, I want it, I WANT IT!
