Just On Time

Pure xs clone, but i wish the performance could be stronger but its a 10 dollar cologne you shouldnt have high hopes for this,its a good cheapie for those who cant save up for a better one,i recommend 8/13 sprays because of the weak performance.

This is a bit of a strange one to me because of how well the liquor and myrrh play together, as in, they merge and I'm not quite sure which I'm smelling. This is boozy in a cheap whisky, vodka way, alcohol-breath way if we're going to be picky in our interpretation. Woodsy, smoky, herbal notes are staying far back as I barely detect them, and I agree with other voters on that vanilla is very obvious. Quite a few hours of staying power (4+ but not over 7 surely) but it won't project further than your arm. It's a pleasant, not much of an offensive scent to wear. Warm and with a certain softness, fairly masculine-inclined. Warm, wet, boozy vanilla, or at least on the drydown and in longer wear it devolves into a rather simple vanilla scent with that persistent hint of liquor. I'll see if it changes upon standing in my closet after these few first sprays. I'll also see if I cannot get to sample the scents this is supposed to be a dupe of. Just for healthy comparison. Decent recommendation for young man scent. Not too classy or mature in my opinionion, though any one of you reading might disagree. I might mess around and find out by layering this with a tobacco-heavy scent. for the giggles. //...not to say a woman cannot carry this one; it just might be, well, somewhat unexpected for her to. This comes across as a very boylike smell to me. Anyways the point is I do like this one, it's interesting. Price point is accurate for what you get, reasonable within the affordable (cheap) frag realm.

Greetings, 07.03.2021 I saw and tried it at a local supermarket called Kubas in Lithuania. They sell plenty of La Rive stuf. As someone who has not previously owned Pure Xs, I cannot do a comparative review but rather focus on La Rive fragrance. It's a light, sweet fragrance which reminded me of Giorgio Armani Code. It is a vanilla based scent with hints of lime, ginger and perhaps musk with woody notes somewhere in the background. That's all about there is to it. After an hour or so everything transforms into a soapy washed out version of the notes mentioned. It is beyond my comprehension why Tonka beans are not listed in description. I cannot agree with the comment describing it as a "nuclear strength" fragrance. It does have a bit of sillage for about 30min and then it becomes a noticeable skin scent. Not a powerhouse, but it does have about 4+ or so hours of true longevity. 08.03.2021 Update It is not bad. It is a cheap, pleasant smell. Surprisingly very faint smell of basenotes still remains on clothes even after 24 hours. This means that sillage is poor however longevity is phenomenal? 6.5/10 but 7.5/10 if it's a present fo a youngster. I would have loved it when I was say 14 or so. Same goes if we value it as something from an ultra budget category. Teenagers sometimes tend to overdose things and in this case the weakness of this scent can be an advantage of sorts.

La Rive Just On Time is NOT Sauvage. Sauvage has a peppery bergamot ambroxan feel. Just On Time I get an alcoholic Hugo Dark Blue vibe. I don't know if Pure XS has that feel, but if it does, Just On Time nailed it. Just On Time has an alcoholic open. The open is pure rubbing alcohol for about 5-10 minutes before settling in. When it does, I get a lemon like feel. I guess the lemon grass/grass tree gives that. In the mid there is a lot of cola and alcohol. There is some myrrh and amber. The base is heavy in ginger and vanilla. Just On Time's performance is alright. I get moderate projection for an hour, maybe two tops. And it lasts about 6 hours tops on my skin. This should work fall and winter, maybe as a work scent if you can let the fragrance sit on you while you travel to work. Otherwise, dates. I think Just On Time is a fine scent. That said I cannot rate it any higher than 7.0 out of 10.

Powdery, light floral woody and quite balsamic. Pleasant intimate powdery floral ginger and thyme dry-down. Quite a light yet complicated fragrance, suitable for a summer's day and evening wear. An Alfresco-type fragrance, along with its woody floral nuances its also quite oceanic and mineral in its overall dominant accords. Quite a cheap fragrance that's 1⁄2 decent, sits nice, is nice but well into the generic market. So, not stand-alone by any means, but in with the everyday crowd. Yes it's worth purchasing as its great value!

La Rive is known for offering affordable fragrances that often "mimic" popular designer scents.(This is a good Pure XS dupe). I don't know why but girls love this cheap fragrance,you get a lot of compliments wearing this one. It's worth buying it, it's cheap and smells nice, projection is ok for a $6 fragrance.

It smells very youthful like early in the morning just bathed people going to work or school. It also has a coca cola effervescent feeling. Fits daily usage, friendly scent 😌

Not a bad clone of Pure XS smells nice on time about 3-5 hours for its price not bad. Smells very masculine on clothes after a day.

Ok so this is not the best quality out there. But its literally a $6 USD fragrance, what else can you expect? It does smell similar to Pure XS, you do have the myrrh, a little bit of liquor, vanilla and incense. It doesn't project much, it starts as alcohol for 2 minutes then you start getting the cola vibe Pure XS has. Longevity is very strong. I bought many La Rive fragrances and sprayed all of them in different parts of my arms. Then i wanted to go out with someone and i tried washing them off so i wouldn't smell weird. I literally couldn't get them off. I used a lot of soap, scrubbed them and they were still there after washing. I had to go out with my arms smelling weird because of all the mix of fragrances. This one would probably fit in winter nights. Its very very sweet. It competes with fragrances like Eros and Ultra Male, but to be honest i prefer those to this. Its not a bad fragrance if you like it, especially with such a great price, just not my taste.

I don't know the original Paco Rabanne Pure XS, but I'd describe this fragrance in two words: church and Coca-Cola. The fresh opening is blurred by myrrh and incense. I can smell the church vibe for almost the entire projection of this scent, on the dry-down there is a sweet note that is similar to cola drink. The projection is close to the skin, but on clothes, this fragrance is noticeable all day long. Not my type of fragrance, so I get rid of it after about half a bottle. If someone likes sweet and incense vibes - this fragrance is for them.

I decided to give it another chance. Ok after let this just on time slot in my room, I tried it again and strangely it is not as weak as I thought first . I get nose blind after an hour but people can detect it after 4 to 5 hours in the office with air-condition and only on cotton clothes, outside in the sun it dies after 2 hours. On skin it is another story,last just an hour outside at the pool, in the sun but on my cotton clothes 3 hours. It is projecting for almost one hour for only 10 box(dollars) for 100 ml I changed my mind it is good for the price and I replied after 3 hours . Bravo la rive.

I like la rive clone house for woman , great edp. For man, it is another story, just on time smells very good but is so weak, last for an hour or two. But and here what is great, I mixt it wit cash man from larive 80% and just on time 20% than you got a much richer version and clone of one million. Layer it with cheap simple and cheap fragrance and you got depth. Enjoy the tip it is not working with Hitfire!

Smells almost identical to Pure XS. The sprayer puts out a tiny puff of liquid. It's important to note that some other perfumes spray a lot of juice, which saturates the skin or surface where applied, and then they perform moderately. Essentially, huge liquid output and then moderate performance. This isn't the case. La Rive Just On Time sprays a tiny amount of liquid and then performance is rather light, with moderate longevity. So basically if this was sold in a bottle with a decent sprayer, which pumped out a generous mist of liquid, this wouldn't perform too badly at all compared to the real Pure XS, which has moderate Sillage and good longevity. When testing fragrances I usually spray a piece of perfume paper 4 times if it's a weak/ moderate performer, 2 times if it's strong, and once if it's a beast. Therefore I'll test this one with 4-6 sprays and see how it performs.

A good recreation of Paco Rabanne Pure XS with decent longevity. The scent hooked me in and i stumbled upon a great deal of the original so i bought Pure XS but if you want a budget version, this is a satisfactory clone. Infact in the air it would be difficult to tell the two appart. Im impressed because most ultracheap clones barely last but this one not only captured the scent faithfully, it also has OK lasting power. Great slightly boozy, sweet, ambery scent with a warm cola vibe. Kudos to La Rive!

This clone is nothing outstanding and at this price there is no chance to come close to Paco... but it tries to follow the same path. We should rather treat it as a quite nice, independent scent that won't offend anyone. The so-called "home maceration" will be useful - after 3-4 months the parameters may improve. Gym, shopping, simple things... for $7. And that's enough to stop using our expensive, luxurious frags 24/24 hours, day by day. That's what it's all about, it's simple savings. I recommend.

If you want your “reviews” to survive, you may wish to adjust your style somewhat, instead of addressing readers like they’re stupid & lecturing like you’re the ultimate perfume authority around here. Fragrances are designed to be worn on skin. It’s also highly unlikely that anyone would fake a £10 La Rive fragrance too. Also, testers are not stronger or made with “a higher concentration of oils”...you are wrong.

This one is very sweet, and almost has a sparkling quality. The other major note is a cedar type of wood. There's also some spice, citrus, etc. It's reasonably strong and long lasting, but definitely not an especially "mature" fragrance. I like it but this genre is not a favorite of mine, though at current prices I certainly don't mind owning a bottle to retest now and then to see if perceptions have changed.
