Queen of Life

Wow!!! Ok, so I was pouring through the forums here, looking for a La Vie Est Belle dupe...and hence, I found queen of life. Now, I don't hold much faith in dupe suggestions typically. I see perfumes being compared all the time that, to my nose, smell nothing alike. Like thela comparison of la vie est belle smelling like Killer Queen... I didn't get that correlation. And also so many other perfume dupe comparisons, I just don't agree with. Sure, they're in the same vein.. but when I say dupe, I mean a perfume that smells JUST like it. And I'm so shocked that queen of life delivers! This was the only one where people said it smelled EXACTLY like La Vie... And for the price of 14$ with included shipping, I couldn't go wrong! I bought blind without even questioning. I'm so happy I did, I love this sooo much!! So in the last few months, la vie est belle has become my signature and favorite perfume. Who knew? But the problem is how expensive it is. Especially how I go through a full sized bottle within a month (yes, that's how much I love and crave Vie Est Belle.) So I was running into the problem of spending a lot of money very often .. I couldn't be without a bottle. So that, along with the money I'm spending on other perfumes, was getting to be way too much. This is why I'm so happy about queen of life! It really does smell exactly like LVEB! I mean, it's the best dupe I've ever had. I will say that there are some differences... Queen of life isn't as deep, complex, or strong as LVEB. It doesn't pack that super strong punch like LVEB... but It holds its own.. the longevity is really good! Also, the patchouli may be slightly less dominant in queen of life, but it's still there.. ultimately, it still smells just like la vie. Just as sweet, just as iris gourmand, praline smothering cloud of yumminess! Perhaps it's just a tiny bit more floral. It's hard to tell.. I think the main difference is it lacks the sillage and monstrous initial power of LVEB. It's lighter. The only somewhat complaint (but not really) I have is the bottle and packaging being a little tacky and cheap lookong/feeling. However, it was only 14$ , so I suppose that's ok. I can't really complain. But the bottle does not properly represent the sensual juice inside! So, there a not much else to say. If you're looking for a lveb dupe, this is it! And probably the cheapest one. I haven't tried the otheir dupes I read about, but I'm happy with this. I can use this with a heavy hand all day.. And use LVEB only for nights out or for occasions. This is the daily errand version of La Vie. Still, queen of life is a strong, night time fragrance though. I'm truly impressed and I highly suggest it to Anyone who loves LVEB. It'll do the job without paying that 100$' . Thanks to the fragranticans that suggested this on the forums! I do still want to try Venezia Reyane or whatever. I just went with the cheapest one first lol

I remember going to the Munich Airport and smelled the La Vie Est Belle from Lancôme. Back then, it was advertised as a good gift on Mother‘s Day to your mother. However, as a 27 years old man I was inspired by the scent. After researching about it, I have found out that Queen of Life by La Rive was a close scent to one from Lancôme, I have decided to try one at local DM. And what? I fell in love with the scent, which is authentic and very pleasant to wear. Having read that the target audience of this perfume is „older women“, I felt that it exactly what I wanted to be associated with. As a gay guy who was born in Russia and was told a lot about importance of being masculine and wearing typical male stuff, I couldn’t imagine myself wearing that back there. However, now living in Europe and having an opportunity to express myself, I have discovered that my fragrance profile is more shaped with a „typical 50+ years old female“ vibes, so for me it was a time to wear it in public. It was a LGBTQ+ Pride event, where I have decided to wear a dress with prints of flowers and have this scent as the extension of myself. I felt so powerful, as I would be a mature, self-worth knowing woman who is blooming and making everyone happy. Who is extremely wise, who knows what she wants from her life, who has already different life experiences and who is strong but extremely feminine. This is exactly what I feel when I wear this fragrance in public. It makes me feel strong and powerful, ready for new adventures, like a Queen who has conquered this life on this Earth. Every now and then I spray myself and feel this vibes, so I am very happy with this one.

This is another win for La Rive with me. I love this perfume. It does fit in nicely with LVEB and all the other dupes/clones. I just love those types of scents. I just can't help myself. It's okay if they all don't smell perfectly the same to me. The patchouli is so dreamy. I just swoon when I get a whiff of myself. I sprayed 4 hours ago and while it isn't projecting as much as when I first sprayed, it's still going strong. This has decent longevity and silage at an affordable price. Wonderful! This will be a perfect addition to wear more on the daily and keep my coveted LVEB for more special occasions.

I’m someone who enjoys sweet fragrances like LVEB, but not enough to fork over $100 bucks for a bottle. So I’ve been searching for a nice dupe and heard about Queen of Life. It may not be *exactly* the same as LVEB, but for $15 online? I figured it was worth a shot. In my opinion, this is worth every penny of that paltry sum. This is really close to LVEB and I love how pronounced the iris and praline are to my nose. In fact, I actually prefer Queen of Life for that reason. The only thing more pleasing than this scent is the satisfaction of knowing that I saved $85, haha.

First I am a man and I really think that this specific Queen of life from la rive is a masterpiece, of course it is a clone of la vie est belle edp that was reformulated and a good clone for only 10 box that last 4 hours ,I bought it for my girlfriend as a backup to her Lancôme and I see my self using it too,yes , I think it a unisex version that also remind me of ultra male J.P.G. and you know what,I sprayed it 10 times on me 5 on my body and 5 on my shirt and the same day received a few females compliments , it is crazy ! Good job la rive

This smells exactely like La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme ! And it doesn't have the synthetic alcohol side note that many dupes does! Smells beautifully - like LVEB - of vanilla, patchouli and praline as the main notes, with some shy berries underneath. Great projection power, last very long. The perfect alternative to LVEB but without spending a smaller futune. The quality with this one is outstanding, and the price can't be beat.

It's amazing good for the price. The fragrance layers are subtle, clear. Sweet and warm, very luxury. A lot of people tell me that my smell is so good! No one can criticize. Longervity is ok, more than 12h with me in winter, even more longer with clothing. More suitable with winter.

This smells sooooo much better than La Vie Est Belle! It is like an intriguing Mugler fragrance - assertive patchouli mingles delightfully with praline, with just the right amount of sweetness. This is way more sophisticated and mature than LVEB imho.

I freaking love this. It smells so sweet and edible. I just want to take a bite out of my arm. I keep reaching for my perfume, just to smell it over and over. 🤭

Great perfume. Bought for my wife and she liked it. Opens similar to LVEB and looks long lasting. Would say it's a great perfume in it's own way as well.

This is a review of my 3rd La Rive purchase. OMG this is exactly like Grès Madame Grès but much weaker. It's really very pretty but disappears around half an hour after spraying. I just keep topping it up because I really like the smell. Madame Grès is a stunning fragrance and very classy. This has that classiness, but it is just terribly weak. I don't regret buying it for one moment because I will take it out and wear it when I'm at home and on those days when I am watching tv or listening to music. I get the patchouli but it is not strong and I also get the sweetness, but as for being a dupe for LVEB, I really don't think so much. I remember trying LVEB when it was first launched and the first thing that struck me was the strength and sickly sweetness. I just couldn't wash it off, so I never did try that one again. I haven't tried the reformulation either so I can't say if it is more like this one. With QOL I get wafts of it when I move around sometimes, so that is rather pleasant. It does'nt have any bothersome notes. It just stays on the skin and can only be perceived by oneself. I sprayed it on and I asked my husband if he could smell it, and he said he could smell nothing. That was after first spray, so just to let you know how weak it is on me. Apart from the praline and patch I get none of those base notes mentioned. I get some fruits on the top and get a hint of Iris. I'm glad I only got a 30ml bottle. I think I will be able to layer it with my Boucheron Vendome to get some more depth and sweetness. Let's see.

I bought this perfume in August because I found it for a cheap price and I felt I couldn't miss it also because I don't know when I can be able to buy LVEB. Definitely August isn't the best time of the year to test such a sweet perfume and I only sprayed it once when it arrived, later it remained in the drawer. First time I sprayed it on my arm it stayed there for some good time and later I washed it off, but what utterly surprised me was that just one spritz filled the room. I left the room and after half an hour when I turned back I was astonished at how this perfume had filled the room and was going strong. Basically all I could smell was this during the whole night. Today I decided to test this again even in the unbearable hotness and again just one spritz on my arm was enough to make the perfume stay there for some good 10 hours and I was amazed how this cheap perfume could do that being that the longevity effect doesn't work on me not even with more expensive and famous brands. In the first hours it was more intense and then it became more of a skin scent . In these hot days it's a little bit too much but definitely worth in winter and even autumn when you need to find comfort in a sweet scent to fight the cold. I already know I will be wearing this a lot during winter. And it is so similar to LVEB that it's almost impossible to discern it from the real one, at least for the least expert noses.

Just bought this perfume today after sniffing a tester in the store. I was so surprised about the vanilla note that I knew I had to buy it. It was so cheap so worth it! I been wandering around at home wondering what this perfume reminded me off. I see people mentioning LVEB, so I had to find my mini LVEB to see if thats true. And yes, its very similar , but this Queen of Life is less powdery and overwhelming. This is like the cute, little sister that loves sweet cookies and vanilla. This one is a winner for me. I dont love it, but its close. Its warm, soft, sweet, vanilla, little bit fruity and floral. If you like vanilla and gourmand perfumes, then im sure you will like this one.

This may be the closest dupe of La Vie Est Belle I've ever smelled. Only issue is that in the line of La Rive, performances vary greatly and this is one that disappears super fast after application. Goes on pretty strong....but just doesn't last at all. If not for that it'd be a real gem. :( Edited to add: I've gotten half way through this bottle and suddenly this perfume decided to start lasting on me. The longevity seems to have doubled. Don't know what happened but I'm just going to chalk it up to it being La Rive. Their perfumes ALWAYS have to set/macerate(from my experience).....and some just take waaay way longer than others obviously. I'll give it a 7/10 rating now.

Wearing this in cold weather, it comes across as a nice powdery fruity floral. In warmer weather, the patchouli comes out really loud and is not as pleasant to my nose. This is one of the few really sweet scents I don't mind, as long as I am wearing it in cold weather. It is a common enough fragrance that wearing it feels safe; I would say as long as you don't overspray, this would be safe for the office. Not one of my favorites, but nice enough.

This is very long lasting perfume for the price ! It beats many other Designers perfumes I have ! I'm shocked almost , did not expect much but it's a very nice product. I'm not familiar with LVEB, all I can say - vanilla , powder and some florals ( and a lot of Musk to my nose but it turns out it must be the Patchouli ). Usually I'm not a Vanilla fan at all. Edit : Unfortunately my husband hates it so won't get the LVEB.

I'm kind of in love. Mixed feelings. Like i'm a rich grandma in the back of a garden. Spring-y, summer-y notes.. The pear was very strong. But I don't recommend to spray it to your neck. As someone with a very sensitive nose, I got a headache by it — even worse that the smell was quite eternal. If you want to smell like a queen with ten horses and a huge garden filled with tulips, yeah. Buy it.

This is genuinely such a beautiful fragrance. My aunt in Germany wears this and it reminds me of her. It reminds me of those designer gourmands like Burberry Her and Miss Dior except this one is significantly better. I dont really like fragrances in this family but this one is just beautiful. And less than 10 Euros. No matter how many fragrances I collect, this will always be a staple of mine

i think this is actually a beautiful fragrance, to me it smells warm, spicy and very sweet. i never detected the pear but it has been a while since I smelled it. not great longevity but for the price this is a good perfume. i do agree that it has a "cheaper" smell. from a distance it smells like fig

I like La Vie Est Belle but not that much to buy a FB. This one is the same for me like LVEB and for only 7 euros i got 75ml bottle. Longevity and projection are impressive for such a cheap fragrance, but it dosen't smell cheap at all!

I can smell the balsamic aromatic perfume that i think its very mature scent. The silage longevity is okay, but this scent kinda reminds me of my grandma (maybe the balsamic notes) anyway this perfume is nice, elegant, and nostalgic

lighter than La vie est belle or its other dupe Venezia by Reyane.Poor sillage. Weak longevity. less sweet , more flowery , very discreet, too soft. Disappointed . I much prefer Venezia Reyane

Incredibly similar to Lancome Miracle Forever, but more subtle and easy to wear. I mostly get sweet vanillic patchouli. It's great for cold weather.

Very much like La vie Est Belle edp, just a more dialed down version, and actually a more pleasant one imo. Longevity is descent 😁😁

Really close to LVEB but a little “dry.” got my 100 mL for 7€ so not complaining! Really good for a dupe!

Well, this is a strange one. Ngl the first few minutes it smells really gross, like straight up cat pee... Luckily that fades very quickly (I'm talking minutes here) and afterwards it smells surprisingly similar to La Vie Est Belle. The longevity is a mystery to me. Sometimes it lingers for a very long time and I can smell it on my clothes days after I've worn them and on other days it's practically gone after an hour or three. Even from my clothes. So a good dupe overall but there are some strange things going on with it.

If you dont like the patchuli of the original La vie est belle, this could work for you. Its a lot of less patchuli in this perfum. But it does not last at all. You need to reaply it at least every 3 hours or so. But for the price you almost cannot complain. It does not have a good projection either.

The opening this perfume has a definite baby powder note that fades after a bit .. the dry down is a powdery sweet vanilla with a very light patchouli in the background.... It's very girly and non offensive, it would make a cute gift for any age.

I loved it until I got nauseous. It's fine, smells like fresh vanilla.

Very synthetic and cloying. Beast mode in the most nauseating way. This was a fail as a clone of LVEB or Coco Mademoiselle. I couldn't finish the bottle. Don't let this keep you from trying La Rive products however. I think overall, La Rive is one of the better budget clone houses in my opinion.Most of the frags I've purchased from them are quite good.

Sugar cane in a bottle. Way too sweet. Smells cheap. It is not feminine, it is smells like a teenager trying to be a woman. Smells immature and childish. Not getting it again.

la vie est belle but cheap and synthetic, in my opinion there are many better dupes than this, so if you like smelling like a grandma this is for you.

I deeply regret impulsively purchasing this fragrance. I made an effort to appreciate it, but it's just not my cup of tea. Despite reading numerous reviews suggesting it's a dupe for La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme, don't be deceived; it comes across as cheap and triggers headaches. The sweetness is overpowering, but not in a pleasant way – it leans towards a synthetic, chemical sweetness. I would strongly recommend passing on this one.

A far more wearable and successful dupe of La Vie Est Belle... Comparing it to a bottle of current original formula (which suffered from reformulations and lost some substance, becoming rather flat and yet still not failing to suffocate), Queen of Life is only a *lighter* formula of the pre-reformulated LVEB. It is sweet and floral with a baby powder touch to it, and the dirty patchouli note is far less accentuated. Its longevity is quite acceptable for a dupe, and I find the sillage sufficient and pleasant. I smell prominently jasmine and vanilla on my wrist now. This is an ideal perfume for the ones who think that LVEB is a monster who still has some appeal if tamed. It's supposed to be my guilty pleasure, since I would normally not like smelling of something which has been only too popular. I admit it, it is nice, and I would certainly recommend this dupe. But in the new decade (2020s), I think another signature fragrance is needed to capture the spirit of the time. In other words, I find LVEB outdated and short of the status of a timeless classic. Rather, Queen of Life is a very good play fragrance for me, amongst many others...

It is very pretty. A little “off” compared to LVEB (one of my favorites) but definitely very similar. The price is right! I have one on each arm/wrist right now and I will say that the LVEB side has a slightly fuller, rounder scent somehow. It’s like a cover song, the music and notes are all the same but the interpretation is just a little different. Not bad at all, and I will absolutely use this a lot to save my precious expensive juice (and yeah, I realize LVEB isn’t all that pricey to some but it’s up there for *me*). I just sprayed it about an hour ago and so far the strength is similar but I will have to update longevity later. At this price though, you can afford to touch it up in the middle of the day..! All in all, a really nice buy!! ETA: it is now 7am, I sprayed last night at around 11. Both wrists have a soft skin scent, the LVEB side is slightly more pronounced. So, I would say longevity appears to be ok.

This is literally La Vie Est Belle in a different bottle. Same perfume. At first I sprayed the tester on my skin to see if it smells the same as LVEB and see how long it lasts. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there's no difference between the two ( and I mean NO difference), also the longevity and silage are great. I could still smell the perfume on my wrist after I showered... and it lasted on my clothes for about a week. So I decided to buy a bottle. I don't know how they did it, I don't know if this is actually LVEB in a different bottle and it's cheaper cause it lacks the brand... I don't know, all I know is this is 100% dead on LVEB, smells the same, develops the same, silage and longevity are HUMONGOUS. Good job La Rive.

I have used LVEB for years & this does smell like its way less complex sister. Its very light almost like a body mist & no lasting power. It was gone almost as soon as I sprayed it. One of the great things about LVEB is its lasting power & sillage. LVEB is deeper & much more complex. I think if you find LVEB to intense you could try this but I cant recommend it because of the performance. If you own & like LVEB this is never going to be a sub for you. I dont want to knock LA Rive they do make some scents worth having. I just dont think this one was well done.

Update: Workmen working on our building followed me into my office to ask what I was wearing! === I don't normally buy fruit-choulis but was in the mood for La Vie est Belle at the end of winter. I bid on a few but didn't want to go high. Then I read about this (thank you Fragranticas!) and got it shipped for under $10. My other La Rives are pretty light, but I could smell this one on my clothes the next day. Well worth it, very close, and decent sillage for a dupe. Definitely best in cold weather, really perks me up.

One of the best dupes of LVEB. The only difference I feel is that QOL is a little bit lighter, more of a skin scent. Every time I wear it, makes me go try out more La Rive fragrances. It makes me wonder how such an inexpensive fragrance can be so well blended and smell so good! I love the pink juice and I do love the bottle too. Looks very good quality and classy. Extremely appropriate for a gift and best affordable alternative for LVEB fans. YEP..La Rive did a great job! Again!

Blackcurrants and pears smell good in the garden. Whoever thought that they would smell good together in a perfume must have had a cold - and a stuffy nose. If you dislike pear and blackcurrant notes in a perfume, stay away from "Queen of Life", as both notes are strong, sharp and dominant. After a while, a bit of a patchouli. A weird cacophonic cocktail. It is as if the creator of this perfume left it unfinished. La Rive has lovely perfumes, but this IMO is not one of them.

No brainer fruity vanilla perfume that gives off similar vibe to the notorious LVEB. A good dupe, I must say. There's a faint patchouli I can detect. Queen of Life is linear and not-so complex, the SPL is decent considering the price. Not too overwhelming to be worn daily. I usually layer it with other fragrances to make it stay longer and smell more complex. Personal favorite: rose-based or powdery fragrance on top of it.

Just love it,la Vie est Belle turns sour on my skin after few hours unfortunately....smells like bug spray called Hit,so I thought I’ll try this La Rive queen of life based on all your lovely reviews...so happy to say this suits my skin and sillage is pretty good not at all something that I expected for $20....huge recommend Very pleasing and lovable-praline and iris definitely in a lovely blend 10/10

This is a great LVEB dupe. They smell alike, only this one is a little more powdery in my opinion. LVEB is heavier on the patchouli and black currant, this one is heavier on the praline and iris. But the differences are small. Like I said, a very good dupe! L a Rive fragrances usually smell kinda cheap/synthetic to me but this one smells really good, I'm impressed! Longevity and sillage are moderate.

@nm4, you are right! La Vie Est Belle + Angel = Queen of Life. Nevertheless, I find the smell a bit cheap and it lacks intensity. It's just a shadow of LVEB. I went to the store to buy it, after I read the reviews, but I've changed my mind right on the spot. Good longevity and sillage, though.

Lovely scent and quite longlasting, but projection is too subtle for my liking, you need many sprays for it to be noticeable. I'm not familiar with LVEB, so I can't compare. La Rive perfumes really seem to be worth testing, I've got this and Cute and I might get Cash next.

When you first spray it, it smells like black currants, unfortunately, it’s a very chemical, cheap, plastic black currant. It dries down smelling like jasmine, but again, a very plastic, rotten one...

The best cheap dupe of la vie est belle Lancome I saw a great youtube review marco4uperfumes It is 80 % similar But a little bit on the synthetic side. only 9 Euros for 100 ml

I think if you really love La vie Est Belle, its a beautiful dupe. After 2-3 hours, I start to smell an aquatic-powdery note, which may not be for everyone.

Another La Rive winner. Sweet and lovely vanilla fragrance that is super yummy and has a decent longevity. Would definitely buy again.
