She is Mine

Long ago- B.C. (before Covid), I tried out Mon Paris EDP at Ulta. I loved its fruity sweetness, the citrus and peony harmonizing with the red fruits, the sweet bright jasmine, the vanilla base. I loved the hefty glass bottle that nestled agreeably in the hand. I loved everything about it in fact; except its price point. And until I was recently doing some investigating into La Rive scents, and read about She Is Mine being a passable dupe for Mon Paris, I hadn't thought about Mon Paris since that day I tested it. I don't know if you've experienced this, but my brain produces a kind of "fragrance amnesia" if I really love a perfume, and can't afford it. The sad memory of testing a gorgeous but unattainable perfume gets banished to a very distant tiny island in my head. This island lies somewhere between the Islet of Trigonometry, and the Atoll of Algebra. Forgotten. The only La Rive scent I had ever purchased was La Femme, hoping to find a cheaper dupe for my beloved Dior Poison Girl. While that one missed the mark for me, She Is Mine happily delivers. I can tell it won't be as long wearing as Mon Paris, and it is lacking Mon Paris' depth, but at the amazing price point She Is Mine is going for- I bought my 3 ounce bottle on Fragrance Net, and it was under $10- I don't mind re-applying it. And indeed, She Is Mine becomes a skin scent after about an hour, so there is a need to re-apply. If you accidentally spray the collar of your t-shirt, as I did, She Is Mine does linger into the next day on fabric. I learned that if I spray She Is Mine five to seven times initially, it has a much better presence and decent wear time. She Is Mine echoes Mon Paris, with sweet strawberry and raspberry presenting first. It then becomes more floral, with the appearance of the rose and a touch of lily of the valley. The fresh sharpness of the bergamot and red currant keep the scent from being too fruity sweet. The pear adds a crunchy, juicy fruit brightness. I would definitely classify She Is Mine as a gourmand, with some brighter citrus-like notes, on a base of musk and vanilla. If you are a gourmand lover, and enjoy Mon Paris, definitely put a bottle of She Is Mine in your basket. The more time passes, the softer the fragrance gets, but still retains that snuggly fruitiness with the musk, vanilla, and patchouli slowly becoming more prominent. I like patchouli when it acts as a support for other notes, which it does here. I love sweet, so the opening of She Is Mine with its initial blast of strawberry candy is my favorite phase of the scent, but if it is too sweet for you- just give it time. She Is Mine soon softens into a lovely, comforting subtle fruity floral. I tested She Is Mine in 98 degree weather, and surprisingly, did not find it cloying. The citrus-like bergamot and the musk kept it from veering off into toothache-inducing sweetness. It's gorgeous, very soft, does evoke Mon Paris, and is a total bargain. And, as Fats Waller sang, "until the real thing comes along," She Is Mine is pinch-hitting, and very nicely.

This is so refreshing, immensely uplifting and fun! I'd be a dirty liar if I didn't say La Rive never impressed me. Seriously!! How do they produce such great quality, well blended fragrances and sell them low price? Long story short: This is 100% a dupe for YSL Mon Paris & Miss Dior Cherie. The difference you ask? It's all about those juicy red fruits, pear and vanilla ice-cream. The patchouli is toned down and more of a background player. First spray on my skin is a refreshing burst of red currants with a hint of bergamot. I don't get any herbal nuances. Within 20 minutes the scent gets even juicier with raspberries, strawberries and pear! The rose is tart, but NEVER overtakes the scrumptious fruits. The dry down a few hours later is red berries, roses on a bed of airy vanilla gelato. I don't pick up too much lily-of-the-valley, musk or herbal notes on my skin, which gives me a breath of relief as I was worried about them most! The projection first hour can fill a room and gets you noticed passing by, however the longevity is 4-5 hours on my skin. I wish it lasted all day :( I found myself battling all the females in my family for who sprays this next! 'She is Mine' is a love-at-first-sniff for us! Verdict: La Rive has done it again! Summery, creamier and fruitier version of Mon Paris. Not cloyingly sweet, synthetic or alcoholic. This will definitely collect compliments! Undeniably delightful, feminine and flirty.

Oh what a pretty fragrance! This starts with a blast of bergamot and red currant. On first spray and even at the beginning and middle of the development I'd say this is an absolute dupe for La Perla J'aime! Even the box is a similar pink colour. It has the beautiful strawberry in it and this perfume is all about strawberry and raspberry at the heart. I also get the pear and it's very juicy. I would go so far as to say that this is a sexy fragrance if there is such a thing. The flowers come in and mingle so well with the fruit. The Lily of the Valley is there and a slightly green rose. I can smell a bit of earthiness, but it's not too dirty though. I get nothing synthetic about this fragrance. It smells so naturally pretty to me. It does have some depth with the patchouli and musk. The patchouli shows itself quite early on in the heart of the fragrance. However,it's missing the depth of La Perla because that one has a creamy caramel base. Maybe this one layered with a gourmand would really capture J'aime if that is what you are looking for. I'm so glad I found this one. It is really lovely and those heart notes last and last. It's a fragrance that certainly puts a smile on my face. I can see why some people find this one to be for the younger crowd because of the heavy fruitiness in it, but I would wear this out and be very happy.

This is a really lovely dupe for Mon Paris. I picked up a huge bottle for £11 including postage and I'm delighted with my cheap blind buy! I've never bought a La Rive perfume before, but I am pleasantly surprised. I had Mon Paris before and absolutely loved her charming, unapologetic girlishness, and She Is Mine is a wonderful dupe with top notes of strawberry, ice cream and red berries on a base of smooth patchouli. I get a hint of roses every now and then, but this is a beautiful gourmand through and through. I'm a little sad that we're going into Winter here in the UK, as I think this fragrance will really come to life in the Spring, but this perfume is like sunshine in a bottle. Sweet, fruity and fun. Picking strawberries with your beloved in a pink dress and going for a vanilla ice cream after. I really enjoy She Is Mine. She's fresh, invigorating and bound to get you compliments. I have her on now and my boyfriend told me I smelled sweet and pretty and that he really liked whatever fragrance I was wearing, so this is a total winner in my eyes. I will always have a place for Mon Paris in my heart, however I live with my boyfriend now and bills have to be paid. She Is Mine will be a perfect replacement for now. I'd buy again for sure.

Love this scent, probablyone of my favorites, even among much more expensive perfumes. It's intensely berry forward. I smell the red berries and bergamot, truely a favorite scent combo for me. Its luscious and juicy, like you have bitten into the ripest of berries. After a while it the vanilla comes forward with rose. Also favorites. The end finishes with slight plastic note, the plastic reminds me of the smell of some sort of barbie toy I had as a child. If I could leave that note out I would. I wonder if that's the violet I smell? Overall a beautiful fragrance. I also love to layer it with some of my more.intense and powdery floral perfumes. it's a beautiful and comforting perfume.
