Touch of Woman

My fav from La Rive. Bergamot & Peach play tricks with ur mind. Not so much Black Opium on me, same vibe/family definitely yes, same addicting resinous amber sweetness, but not an exact dupe (wearing all 3 perfumes on different spots right now). The EDT has absolutely nothing similar to this(weird plastic scent on me). Its got the same vibe, same Black Opium type of waxy ambery sweetness, not necessarily an almondy accord, yet it has the signature aromatic, syrupy, amber woody effect of the original that's not exactly plastic in the BO EDP but rather waxy if it makes sense (by the almond licorice cashmete wood blend). However in TOW these elements are lighter and embellished with different more girly fruity sweetness. To me TOW is way better, honestly, more dimensional more fruity, sweeter, flirty, less dark. The peach adds powdery depth as it always does in perfumes. Black Opium EDP's sweetness is gone very fast while TOW 's sweetness intensifies as hours pass by. The peach is sugared smooth by the vanilla and it's the star of the show here and holds well. BO EDP opens up almost like TOW but completely changes on me within 10 mins and the coffee ruins it for me, its a mess. It is a very improved version of BO, no stinky mess. Black Opium EDP has pink pepper/patchouli making it heavier than this. In Touch of Woman the bergamot is beautiful green and syrupy, but I dont see or smell pear,coffee, citruses or black currant, no cedar(mainly the notes of BO EDT and EDP). The white florals here are indolic aromatic within that licorice-like waxy woody essence of Black Opium - they render it subtly fresh beneath its powdery sweet resinous woody essence. Sofia Vergara's Love opening is closer to both BOs than TOW for instance because I do smell the coffee in it. Black Opium EDP actually is very stinky on me (has that fake bake self tan aftersmell). TOW for me is an entirely new perfume in the BO family, but has its very own sweet peach game going on. And i love it for what it is. Id never buy any of the BO even if they were cheaper. Update: for an exact BO dupe (like a mix of EDT and EDP) try Premiere Editions Black Opium, their version. Less sweet than TOW but more aromatic, and much better than the original on my skin - amazing. Update July 27th 2026: I repurchased TOW in Greece today cuz I lost it in the move from the US and I had 2 bottles but had one of em sold. I found it at a local grocery, I love its sugared ambery peach and the BO waxy woody base it has. Performs great in heat too. I had my US bottle for 9 years and it still smelled amazing. Some La Rive perfumes like Miss Dream and Hello Beauty which I loved both went bad really quickly. This is great quality tho.

I'm smelling THIS and BLACK OPIUM EDP right this second on my both wrists - they're really hard to distinguish. I applied them a minute ago. Touch of Woman is slightly fruitier and velvety, BO is more linear and the coffee note is more straight and bitter in BO. They are really similar! When I tested Black Opium in the store a few days ago, I had to spray tons of it all over myself in order to be able to smell it longer than only 5 minutes. With Touch of Woman it's not necessary - just 2-3 sprays do the job perfectly and the scent remains for hours! Here, in La Rive coffee is not listed but I'm sure there is as much "coffee" in this perfume as in Black Opium - only the quality will be lower - the price says it all. But somehow this perfume works miracles on my skin!!! Yay!:D Rarely do I find good dupes of high-end perfumes, but this time I have - Touch of Woman certainly works for me!:))) I'll be using this one with joy for the time being:D Update: After less than a quarter of an hour Black Opium is almost gone while Touch of Woman persists:D After almost 1 hour Blakc Opium is COMPLETELY GONE. Touch of Woman is here at its best - vanilla/coffee/cake are ruling!

First, I know my username is misspelled. I cannot change it :( Smells almost identical to Black Opium on the arm. A bit stronger. If you wore this, and then told someone you were wearing Black Opium, and they were familiar with the fragrance, but maybe not a fragrance snob, they would probably believe you. I know I would. It is missing some sort of smokiness that I can smell when I spray Black Opium, but it is spot on otherwise. This is yummy, sweet and simple. Love this! Longevity is about the same as the real deal, about 3-4 hours. At this price point, you can re-apply as much as needed. By the way, if you cannot locate this fragrance, and you want a Black Opium dupe/ style of fragrance, I highly highly recommend Justin Bieber's Girlfriend fragrance. It sometimes can be found for less than $10, I paid $13 for Touch of Woman. Girlfriend smells so so so similar to Touch of Woman. And so very similar to Black Opium too. I own all 3. JB is not paying me to say this, lol, but it really does smell so similar to both Touch of Woman and Black Opium.

I know that most people got it as a dupe for Black Opium- but I for once do not like Black Opium. What it is though, is a much, MUCH better perfume than Black Opium. It smells so good, so lovely- I think you can really sense the peach and the white flowers when you first put it on. Then when it settles down, it smells so soft and good on your skin... it's super sensual. The vibe it's giving is you going out to a nice dinner in a cozy restaurant with your loved one, only to come back home when it's rainy outside, and get a "you smell so good..." when your partner kisses your neck. That's literally the vibe it gives off. Cozy, sensual, intimate... and not overpowering at all. While Black Opium is so complex it gives me a headache from its strength, this one is more subtle but God does it sit way better on my skin. I know that I'll LITERALLY fly through this perfume- and the best part is? it's so cheap and affordable that I'll just grab a new one with no worries about my wallet. PLEASE do not hesitate and get it. You won't regret it one bit.

I bought this perfume to see if I'd like Black Opium since this is considered a good dupe for it. I was pleasantly surprised and this has become my fave La Rive so far. I find it very pleasant, and though I am not an over sprayer anyway, it isn't 'in your face' kind of scent. If Black Opium is anything like Touch of Woman, I don't understand the hate it gets. Now will have to try Black Opium to compare the two. For me, Touch of Woman is definitely a keeper.

I like this a bit better than Black Opium, but wouldn't say the scents are the same. On me, it's frosted blackcurrant and other berries with a caramel note and some spices and vanilla underneath. After a few minutes, some pear peeks out. But the berries and spices are what stay the longest. All in all, I really like this one. It's a 'purple' kind of scent, similar on me to Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple, and maybe a passing resemblance to Alien.

So pissed off. I ordered this as I heard it was a dupe for Black Opium - but it was taking such a long time to arrive I ended up just buying a bottle of Black Opium. I like this one better 😭 BO performs better, but it's not as smooth and gentle as this one. The original is TOO much in a side by side comparison. This is really just Black Opium but smoother and weaker. For the price it's a no brainer, you can just reapply. Get this one.

I like this perfume. Wear it daily, day or night. It has a slight sensual side to it. I would say that it is a cheaper body mist of YSL Black Opium, so if you’re on a budget this is a good choice. It doesn’t last that long though. Got some coffee and liquorice smell in it. Very soft sweetness, doesn’t make me dizzy.

What can I say? Another winner from La Rive! It is a watered down version of Black Opium but you can always do 2 - 3 layers to build up the intensity. For $8/bottle, go ahead and overspray. I love that it is not so strong so I can layer with other fragrances.

I love how beautiful, deep, and dark this fragrance is. It's sweet, but grown-up and dressed up! Perfect for date night or any evening event. But bring it with you in your purse to reapply pretty much every hour, as it does not last very long at all.

Really nice vanilla and coffee on me. Its beautiful! Longevity and projection are not very good though. La Rive perfumes are nice. I have several fragrances from this house.

Lovely dupe for YSL Black Opium. Sexy,sweet,bit spicy. Absolutely one of my favorites for winter. Lasting power is great as well. Love <3 90 ml EDP

I am not so sure about this one. I don't really like Black Opium, I find it too mature and sweet and cloying, but I like vanilla and coffee so when I found this dupe (I was initially looking for Fleur de Femme) at such a low price I told myself why not, and the comments here got me to think this was a toned down version of Black Opium. Well it is not toned down so much, the scent is pretty strong and sweet, still mature in my opinion. At least I don't get the liquorice note at all, thank god for that. Overall it is a pretty sweet and cloying scent, I would only wear this during very cold winter days, otherwise I get tired of the scent pretty quickly. Update: Wore this after a lonnnnng while! (Like 3 years.) It is still okay, very sweet. This is nice, a sweet floral vanilla. I am not sure how close it is to Black Opium since I tried Black Opium a very long time ago from a sample I had and I remember not liking it at all. I will try wearing this fragrance more often before the end of winter!

It's the best Black Opium's dupe I've tried for today. I had Zara's Gardenia, which turned into patchouli on a really bad base. (For the first 20-30 minutes it smelled like B.O,then it smelled similar to Oriental by Zara and Jimmy Choo EDP to me). Also tried Ajmal's Vanille Celeste, which was good for an hour while the base was soapy (not worth the price). I'm not a Black Opium addict, but I like the fleur of this perfume, sweet vanilla-coffee scent that isn't annoying for me... But I find Black Opium too expensive: it's not some "scent fatale" that can't be copied. That's why I'm looking for dupes. La Rive wasn't a disappointment for me. It's well-blended, soft, sweet, calm perfume. A lot of people have asked me what I was wearing when I was wearing Touch of woman. And I'm feeling good while I'm wearing it! It stays on my skin for 4-5 hours. Not bad. Good experience with La Rive.

For me this one is just another generic sweet fragrance, nothing special. I'm not an perfume expert and a lot of times can't name more than 1-2 notes in the fragrance :) I have Ferragamo Signorina Misteriosa, and Touch of Woman reminds me of that. Can't judge on comparison with Black Opium - only tried it once and wasn't too impressed thinking the same - generic sweet fragrance... I'm wearing it for the first time today and don't know yet how the longevity is. The good news - for the price you can purchase this one ($10-$12) it really doesn't matter if it's poor - you can reapply over and over without being afraid to run out :)

Touch of Woman does remind me of Black Opium, but it's not a perfect dupe. The most obvious difference is the absence of a coffee note, which is a defining feature of Black Opium in my opinion. It's kind of puzzling that they're even similar cause the notes are quite different. Peach instead of pear, no patchouli and not a hint of spices... Maybe one could say TOW is a simpler and even sweeter version of BO that consists mostly of vanilla. I wouldn't buy this, but it's worth a try if you like Black Opium but can't spend much. It smells nice and is super cheap (6-7€ for a giant 90 ml bottle!).

The first spray smells EXACTLY like a Bath & Body Works spray my aunt gave me in middle school. It's 2008, I'm 11 years old, on Christmas break in my room at night reading Breaking Dawn, so excited to be a teenager soon, and I have completely and utterly doused my room in this. It's very much a young girl's idea of what being "sexy" and "adult" is. (As an aside, this is what I imagined Bella would wear LOL.) The dry down has a sexy synthetic smell that I'm not sure I'm a fan of. I really like it for what it is, a 7€ impulse buy while buying toothpaste.

La Rive does successful slapdash dupes of sweet designer fragrances. La Rive's versions are very sweet and juicy. Touch of Woman, In Woman and Sweet Hope, for examples. I can smell the references to the specific design scents. Yet La Rive versions smell similar to each other, as well. In this regard they are similar to Cuba's fun dupes. They are not sophisticated, they are strong scents (especially on fabric), and I recommend you give one a try.

Very much like black opium, but without the complexity and without the coffee note. This is soft and luxe smelling, so I will definitely use my whole bottle, probably more for background scent, and then can ration my real bottle of black opium by spritzing on top of this one. Touch of Woman is still gorgeous in its own right, so nobody should hesitate to try this one if they like this overall scent profile.

I've never tried Black Opium but I'm really enjoying this fragrance. It smells like light and sweet white florals on me with a touch of vanilla somewhere in the mix. I also pick up the pink pepper note in my skin and while I'm usually not a fan of pepper, I think it blends nicely with the other notes. Nothing too crazy but still very wearable and pleasant, and excellent value for the price.

Personally this smells NOTHING like Black Opium to me, BUT it does smell a lot like Lady Gaga's Fame which I also have! It has such a deep vanilla smell, these type of scents lasts a long time on my skin. This has gotten me lots of compliments because the dry down is a rich, sweet vanilla musky smell. Very good winter/nighttime perfume.

Black Opium without coffee. I bought this looking for an affordable alternative to Black Opium. While it is a nice smell, this is far too “soft” for what I was looking for. Didn’t last long on me either. Which is a shame, because I really loved this line’s Fleur de Femme.

This is the second La Rive perfume I bought as a blind buy due to the reviews. I love this perfume!! It is soooo sweet and yummy and I've gotten so many compliments on this perfume. I would definitely buy this one again! One of my favorite La Rive perfumes so far!

It's very sweet (and I love that). Other than peach, I feel like I can sense pear as well. It starts off strong (too strong, so I can't pile it on), but then doesn't last more than two hours, which is honestly so disappointing because the smell itself is wonderful

It’s a 85% dupe to black opium. I really love the vanilla in this and it’s pretty. Only con is that it doesn’t last. This is a reoccurring problem with this house but they’re affordable so I can’t complain.

This is really a dupe for Black Opium and it’s quite good. It’s not as intensive and expensive smelling as the original, but it is very pleasant nonetheless. Final note: 7/10

It's definetely not my personal favourite but I appreciate it a lot. Back when I had covid my sense of smell and Taste got altered and it didn't go back to normal until over a year later. During that time my taste in perfume changed and I ended up being obsessed with this. I like it bc it's rather sweet, girly and still fairly simple. It's wearable. I stopped using it bc I found something better. I still layer it occasionally. It has a traditional vanilla smell to it and a hint of freshness. I would say it reminds me of the mid to late 2000s but that's just me bc my mom had a lot of perfume back then and I was curious. It had It's impact on me. It's on my shelf rn and I don't plan on tossing it away. For young girls who like to experiment this perfume, and La Rive in general, are great options, especially if we consider the price. I paid less than 10€ for a bottle and they last fairly long

I've never tried Black Opium, which this is meant to dupe, but I am not really a fan of this fragrance on its own. It is too sweet, and smells like a overly sweetened coffee drink. When I first spray it, I get pear and a sweet buttery scent, then the coffee and vanilla pop up. This is one of those scents that tends to get stronger on me as it dries down. I will use it up by layering it with some of my more masculine fragrances, but I would not repurchase this. The only reason I am not getting rid of this one is because my husband likes it on me, and he doesn't like very many fragrances.

Sweet, warm perfume that doesn't last very long. It's inoffensive, feminine, and generally a good perfume to have for casual wear, in case you want to spritz some on without using more expensive perfumes. Cannot say it's very memorable, and it develops fast. I don't really get any notes, except the vanilla and the initial scent that's peachy in a sense that you smell a fuzzy peach directly on its skin; warm, fruity, but not very peach-like. It's an okay for me, mostly because of the longevity.

This is a body spray of Black Opium. Not as complicated (dense) or well blended, but it could be used as a heavier body spray. My love of BO comes and goes, it mostly goes when it's still wearing me at 12+ hours, so I can appreciate La Rives Touch of a Womans lack of longevity. Mind you, it's bare bones BO, thus the body spray analogy,

It's a floral vanilla. Thats it. Not bad, but not very good either - smells a bit cheap tbh. It doesn't last very long either, but for the price its okay. I only wear it at home

The perfumiest perfume I have ever smelled... Thankfully I bought a small bottle.

For me this is a swing and miss. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice fragrance on its own, and it resembles but only comes so close to Black Opium. I completely miss the coffee tone and the complexity of the original. La Rive has nice fragrances for very low prices and sometimes they hit a homerun (with "In" for example), but this one is a disappointment for me. Update: I bought Black Opium since this one confirmed I like the real deal too much to use a "dupe''. Well, now I am sort of regretting I gave La Rive away because that one had definitely longer lasting power.

This is on the borderline of being too sweet to endure, but I still like it for bed time, almost like a sweet dreams potion. Nothing I would wear in public. I would feel like smelling like a candy bar, and even though I like sweet, just to smell like a food item with nothing to balance it out is more something for a much, MUCH younger crowd. I like gourmand frags only if I don't smell exactly like a bakery, coffee house or a chocolate bar. I wished I could detect more fruit. It's still nice for bed time, though.

I had this, and I returned it. Not only is it not a dupe for black opium, it's not a dupe for anything. I could barely smell it! Try if you want to. But I wouldn't recommend it. Not even for 13.00. on the other hand... I adore taste of kiss. That one is amazing!!!

Syntethic amberwood vanilla sweetness.

ive never had black opium, i bought this cause it was cheap and i was curious. now, remember smell is subjective so you may love this perfume !! dont necessarily let me stop you when i say i loathe this perfume. how it snuck into my life is gut wrenching. how did it bypass the integrity of my local perfume store? how did it weasel its dastardly way onto the shelves that once held value? how did it manage to manipulate me into buying without a simple test spray? just one push of a button? ill never know. boycotting it actively. i wish this perfume never graced my now tainted skin. it smells like soap but NOT in a fresh, clean way. it smells like ive been locked in my grandmothers bathroom and shes tipping all purpose flour and makeup powder from 1942 down the laundry chute and directly into my nose. why are you doing allat irene? for my sanity, which clearly needs reparation, and to keep yours intact, do not buy this perfume. if you do, ill hex you deadass. do not come to my town.

Hate this one, had to give it away but it ended up in my basement. I wonder if I'll ever grow to like it? Maybe when I'm much older. It's overpowering and suffocating.

This is a sweet smelling perfume in the same category as Black Opium but its not a dupe. On me there is a lot of the peach coming out. I dont smell that in BO & I dont think this is close enough that you would mistake it for BO. I actually did not like BO because it was just generic sweetness & I didn't get any of the coffee, which is why I bought it. At least here its not a generic sweet bomb, I can smell peach & vanilla(there is no coffee). So I think this is a nice perfume on its own but not really a dupe for BO. Still worth a try as I do like it. I do need to add I have had to respray several times today. This does not have good longevity or silage at all. But honestly BO had terrible longevity on me too.

I never smelled ysl bo. But when I smell this, its only vanilla scent. Seriously I only can smell vanilla, vanilla and vanilla EDIT Now I can smell this perfume The first spray I can smell bergamot and white floral notes. I only can smell this heaven (bergamot and white floral) only 2 minutes since the peach note come slowly and It makes a little powdery to the scent. Then the peach become stronger then the vanilla notes come out and make this scent really sweet. I love the opening but not the drydown Its too sweet for me and I can't stand to the peach notes Project good in cold weather and longevity good Sweet gourmand but too sweet for me

Touch of Woman rather smells like a celebrity fragrance, but not any particular one of them. You may think of Taylor Swift's Wonderstrucks, Lady Gaga's Femme and Beyonce's fragrances. It's a sweet fruity floral. Don't expect depth please. The opening is strikingly similar to Lancome's LVEB, but within seconds you see that it's an altogether different world. The bottle is so very lovely and succesful for the price, better than plenty of designers. It's solid black glass. Apart from the tacky but funny name, you wouldn't be ashamed to display this on your dresser. Longevity and sillage is moderate, you'll need to spritz often.

This is my most favorite perfume i have for many years, can’t believe it was launched in 2015, i feel like i have this forever. Strong, long lasting and similar to YSL BO. It gets super intense in warm days and sillage is strong. Strong sexy vanilla smell, bottle lasts for long time. Looking at the reviews below about weak and not long lasting scent i have a feeling that they may have changed something in production, because the bottles i had were really strong.

Yes, exactly dupe of YSL BO. The notes were different, but i wonder why somehow they're able to create similiar vibe of scent. The difference, imo, is that BO is more bitter and coffeeish while TOW smells way sweeter. BO last for almost 10 hours while TOW last only 3-4 hours, but for a cheaper price i think its a fair choice. EDIT: now i understand why i can smell strong wood notes, its the subtitute for the coffee note of BO which gave slight bitter fragrance.

I truly can't believe how much this smells like Black Opium!I wanted to try it because I heard people saying that it's a dupe for Black Opium,and I really wanted to test that out.I was surprised by it's beautiful smell.At least on me it does smell like Black Opium,even though the notes are quite different. I can smell the powdery sweet, with a very strong hint of white flower (i dont know its tuberose or jasmine) but its very weak longevity and poor silage, i mean you cant smell it without put your nose at the point you spray. Anyway after 2-3 hours, all i can notice is my sweet skin scent. But its still nice tho, and not a very pricey, so its still ok

La Rive does an amazing job when it comes to creating perfume dupes. And this one is not an exception. To my nose, smells 100% like Black Opium...I am mindblown. I can't judge based on longevity and projection for now but c'mon... I just bought 30ml for 2,99€ ...now beat it, haha 😁 Definitely go try it if you love Black opium, it's worth every penny.
