Wild Kiss

Similar to Scandal Le Parfum but the opening is a bit cheap like the G for Women Dancer perfume by Mirage (the first one that smelled like a more artificial So Scandal), but I like it nonetheless. Its floral part is giving fresh floral detergent for mopping floors just like Le Parfum does but here it's very much in my face and dominant. I'm suspecting the sour pear and bergamot might have to do with that while the lily jasmine offer the indolic fresh element. Once it calms down it's a bit better. The coconut must also amplify the freshness of it but it renders the scent more powdery at the drydown along with the orange blossom and jasmine so Wild Kiss resembles Hypnotic Poison more imo even tho it stays fresher compared to that and to Le Parfum. Wild Kiss has a more cool toned floral vein that persists in the drydown reminiscent of a dewy cool toned violet but it's the lily of the valley, and it's rather similar to the tuberose in So Scandal. Le Parfum has the fresh sweet dewy jasmine of So Scandal focused on its jasmine, not the tuberose, but here this floral element is amped up. I notice the orange blossom here compensating for the lack of the salt note in this. I don't smell much of it other than a subtle salty solar effect and a powdery floral freshness. In Le Parfum the orange blossom impression comes from the salted jasmine. The fact that they included orange blossom in Wild Kiss verifies what I was smelling in Le Parfum all along. So turns out I wasn't wrong in smelling an orange blossom nuance in Le Parfum. In Le Parfum the opening contains the vanilla marzipan vein along with the intense floral part while in this, the opening is strictly floral and the vanilla play doh elements join in way later. To me this stays fresher along the lines of So Scandal without much of the bubblegummy tuberose. The cedar renders it drier and the vanilla is not as potent. It has heliotrope for the play doh effect and a powdery coconut accord like Hypnotic Poison while Le Parfum runs on caramel salt for its marzipan-like effect and it has no coconut so its subtle powdery aspect is from the jasmine itself mimicking the salty solar orange blossom due to the salt influence. I think Wild Kiss becomes more powdery by the coconut compared to Le Parfum which to me resembles Police Forbidden more due to their common notes and their simple structure without the white floral salad of Hypnotic Poison/Sweet Hope La Rive. It does project and lasts. Some La Rive's perfumes go bad in time they don't macerate they just become rancid and dusty stale so I'll try to use it up. My Miss Dream went bad and my beloved Hello Beauty twice. I hope La Rive goes back to its creative bottle designs cuz the new minimalistic transparent bottles are plain and look cheap.
