Décou-Vert

I love this! It is very fresh and green. The lily of the valley is noticeable but not too sweet and not at all cloying. I adore LOTV but I don't usually think of it as a note men can wear; in this unisex fragrance, it works. I feel very feminine wearing Decou-Vert, but it could definitely be worn by a man. As the lily of the valley dies down, the green leaves persist. They are not earthy at all -- more like bright green herbs, but very light and dewy. On me, this scent lasts 7-8 hours, though by the end it is a light skin fragrance. This could become a signature for me, now that Diorissimo doesn't smell as good as it once did. Decou-Vert is delight-ful.

This is a very interesting smell. It seems to evoke memories, it's like a time machine. I don't understand nor recognise any of the mentioned components (except "green" and something sweet) but together they smell like a 100+ years old story.

I’m revisiting this one because my initial take doesn’t feel entirely fair anymore. When I first tried it, I was at the onset of a migraine, something I didn’t fully account for at the time. Looking back, that likely skewed my perception, especially with florals and aquatic nuances, which can feel overwhelming in that state. Coming back to it with a clear head, the composition makes much more sense to me. It still leans floral, but now I can appreciate the structure and how the elements come together rather than feeling disjointed. The aquatic facet is still there, but it feels more integrated and less intrusive. It’s not the “green” fragrance the name might suggest, but that no longer feels like a miss; just a different interpretation than I expected. This one taught me a useful lesson: context matters more than we think when evaluating a fragrance.

Quite a charming white flora - green scent. The lily, jasmine and magnolia notes blend seamlessly and merge with the green notes to produce a pleasant floral scent. With all of that said, I am NOT much of a fan of these types of scent -- they need to be weird, unconventional and DIFFERENT for them to speak to me. I'm just like this, really, I am. I don't want to be like this -- no one wants to have to wade through thousands and thousands of scents to find something that 'speaks' to them. Not to mention all the money I've spent sampling all of these scents. Nope, no one wants to go on these weird ten-year goose chases. No way. I'm all about the scent experience, the journey and the adventure. So, do try this if it's you...

The opening of this is so beautiful- aquatic watery and green with the lightest tinge of delicate white flowers, featuring a cool and lovely lily of the valley. I really enjoyed this stage, and was disappointed when it completely changed into an almost buttery and dense white musk. I do like a musk but that wasn’t what I was looking for from this. The initial stage would be a wonderful floral for a very hot climate, however it only lasts an hour. I also think this would be lovely to spray on yourself when you don’t feel well. It would take you from the sick bed to fairyland, at least for an hour.

Quite an impulsive purchase, perhaps in vain. But once I bought it, I use it from time to time. I don't smell that fresh green that I caught in the store. It's strange, like dried green powder. But in warm weather it becomes fresher. I don't smell lilac at all, much less lilies of the valley. It lasts a couple of days on clothes, a couple of hours on the skin, very loudly, then suddenly dies down, but echoes can be heard all day long. Actually, it doesn't smell like anything I've ever smelled, or anything in the "reminds me of" category. It's a bit too safe though.

this smells like sweet grass with dewy florals and earthy oakmoss. It opens with the smell of very green and fresh accords with a dewiness, very aquatic. The florals here are very airy and light, breezy and fresh. They feel like flowers surrounding a lake in the middle of spring. The base of this is much earthier with a prominent oakmoss, but it’s close to skin with a fresh and watery musk. It feels more grounded and blended nicely. I love the smell of this one but just wish the projection was stronger and the longevity is abysmal.

Straight up a blast from the past- I can remember this kind of scent being worn by some of my middle school teachers. It is very prominent and it has a personality yet it is reserved in its own way. Very fresh not as floral as I thought it would be but still florally enough- mostly lilac. My overall thoughts would be that it is a green scent almost like a shower kind of fragrance for rain lovers. I can imagine myself wearing this even on a night out yet it can also be worn in an office or workplace. 7,5 /10

I'll update my old review a bit. It turns out that for me it smells its best in late autumn and non-Christmas winter (i.e. any cold time except December). That's actually when I bought it. A beautiful, fluffy green powder with flower pollen. If, like me, you love wearing spring flowers in winter, this is a perfect option. When the trees are bare, it adds life to the gray city. And in the spring and summer, it just sat in the closet, attracting no interest.

On my skin it strangely reminded me of Chanel Chance eau Tendre, which I like. I don't bother too much about how easy and non-complex this scent is, somedays require something easy going, and this could be it. Or I could just forget about it. It wouldn't break my heart. The great thing is that you can buy buy small sizes of this brand, which is Lovely if you have a big Collection. Safe blind buy but don't expect to be surprised.

I tried this on my skin at Ministry of Scent in San Francisco. My first thought upon smelling it was that it reminded me of approaching a garden in Golden Gate Park on a foggy afternoon. It begins with dew on flower petals. Green notes elude to wet grass in a garden of white flowers. The florals grow and then evolve into a musk. The musk feels a bit standard and boring in the end. Those top notes are quite dreamy though!

Blind buy miss. The name suggested something green, but on my skin it’s overwhelmingly floral with a clear aquatic edge. That mix just doesn’t land for me. In hindsight, I should’ve paid attention to the Collection in Fiore label instead of the “verte” in the name. There’s nothing green here to my nose, just florals that don’t quite click. Leans slightly feminine in my perception, though that’s subjective.

Looks like I am not the only one who smells ammonia in this. I liked the scent on the blotter but when I put it on my wrist I smelt our cat's litter boxes. The SA did not notice it and I thought it was just me until I read Birnam_Wood's comment. The scent is nice though and the ammonia disappeared after 10 mins or so, it is not really an issue for me.

A very green lilac scent that reminds me of Baiser Vole extract de parfum from Cartier although that there is no lilac but lily in Baiser Vole extract. I like the scent but on my skin it lasts only 2 hours, that 's a pitty because it is EDP that I've tested.

Linear. Soft, lemony green and sweet mix of aldehydes, magnolia/lilac and a dab of white musk. Ladylike and clean. More powdery than watery. Not really my type of scent but I've been enjoying it. It's actually lasted rather well on my skin.

I sprayed this on my t-shirt on a hot summer day and it evaporated so quickly! Too bad because it’s a very pretty scent.

Testing blind, I get a fresh and wet floral fragrance with a nice spring-time and uplifting feeling. It has enough floral elements to across to me a feminine but not overly and think it can play well more unisex for a daytime spring wedding. However, it reduces down to a skin scent and the longevity was okay, maybe 5-6 hours, making it an event over an all-day occurrence. The notes are pretty representative where the water notes and greens leaves with genral floral notes are apparent where the oakmoss feels pretty hidden. Overall,. pretty easy gift fragrance blind, keeping in mind it's performance limitations.

Typical green tops with slight hint of rubber. Then some sort of light-weighted floral as usual, not distinctively a magnolia note. What unsettles me is, the weird ammonia scent buried under this green-floral facade, like a tickling bomb. Seriously, who'd put ammonia in perfume? I suspect it's a lily notes gone wrong, since lily in real world does have that odor. I have no qualms wearing synthetic scent, but honestly, there is nothing natural in this perfume except that ammonia odor——The rest of it is just a bucket of sweet-sour-terpenic juice.

A calm, watery floral green which I loved at first spray until the boring musk note takes over around the 30 minute mark. Décou-Vert is not the most natural-smelling perfume, but the opening — a delicate, well-balanced magnolia-lilac accord — is beautiful and instantly appealing, both soothing and contemplative. That musk drydown though. Not for me.

This smells EXACTLY like my least favorite grandmother's marshmallow fruit salad.
