Limone

Joscohen puts it right “watercolor subtlety”. The Jean-Claude Ellena signature is clearly present. It is an airy, transparant and simple fragrance. A very light “Voyage d’Hermes” is what I get. The lemon is quite sugary. Especially on application it is as if I smell Limoncello. Nice/pleasant/soft.. more feminine, a young woman take on lemon. Yep, not really for men or yes when you also wear woman’s clothes or when you identify as a woman ;) Then yes but otherwise not really. Personaly I like my lemon fragrances a bit more harsh. I like a somewhat unripe, green lemon underlined with aromatic herbs like thyme and rosemary eg you find in classics like Monsieur Balmain, YSL Pour Homme, Aramani Eau Pour Homme (the 80’s formulations to be exact). That said, a Jean-Claude Ellena fragrance is always a joy to experience. Do try “Limone”. It develops quickly on skin. From that lemony top it soon becomes more white musky and light suede leather like.

More watercolor subtlety from Jean-Claude Ellena. I was happy to be able to sample the whole Viaggio in Italia line at the Laboratorio Olfattivo shop in Rome last month, and this was the one I liked the most. A juicy, refreshing lemon with a touch of ginger, it's quite the mood lifter. As others have noted, it doesn't last very long (although it hangs around as a skin scent) so keep that in mind. (It's labelled as a "parfum cologne," which is honest enough; performance is in line with other colognes.) On this warm day, as I reminisce about Italy, JCE's viaggio is my aromatherapy.

Probably my favorite from the citrus line, a nice ethereal tart lemon top note over petitgrain and a slightly gingery musky woody base. Not something that will blow anyone's mind, but solid nonetheless.

Why doesn't it last longer?! Why?! It smells sooooo good and natural. It's gone in 30 minutes

I get kind of a leafy green citrus free when testing this blind. The green element gets more earthy as time goes on but remains fresh. The citrus has a slight bend to it that gives me lemon cleaner sensibilities, but is still "nice". I didn't find it particularly memorable. I generally get more of a house scent than personal fragrance. No surprise about the actual notes. Definitely more full lemon still on the branch than anything else. I didn't really pick it up throughout the day either, but could smell it up close. It's still fairly nicer than mass production popular fragrances, and at the price point has more going for it, but there's so many of these, this one I think looses out to others.

This is a dead-on lemon lollipop scent. Or a lemon drop or any other kind of lemon hard candy. It's a bit much and leans into cleaning product territory more than I'd like.

im suprised i didn't fine xerjoff renaissance in the reminds me of first .. this smells like the a lemon. the entire thing with the peel pulp and seeds

Normally I’m not a huge stickler for durability. I’m completely fine with fragrances that last an hour or two and fade to a skin scent. So please believe me when I tell you that this stuff is gone in an INSTANT. This is the first time I’ve ever come across a fragrance that literally just disappears after it’s been sprayed. You might be able to get something out of it if you go crazy and spray it like 10 times on clothing, but it doesn’t really seem worthwhile at that point. You’ll enjoy a nice, sweet, candied lemon for about 15 seconds.

It's literally just lemon and it disappears after a few minutes.

اونجایی که اسم ژان کلود النا باشه توقع نوبل ترین حالت بوی مرکبات خیلی سادست . لیمونه . چه اسم قشنگی . لیمونه رو در کنار افورو فیزی ترین حالت بوی لیمو بدونید . بوی ناب زست لیمو . حس سوزان و فرار زست لیمو با کلی ریحون سبز . شروع این عطر مثل تلالو ی قطعه الماسه زرد و سبز ‌ . انگار پوست لیمو و ریحون رو تو دستتون مالش بدید . ولی گول نخورید این ریحون نیست پتی گرینه ( جوانه برگ نارنج) لیمونه همینه . زست لیموی زرد و جوانه های برگ مرکبات با حس سبز . بدون نت مزاحم دیگه ای . و عمری بسیار کوتاه . شاید نیم ساعت حداکثر یکساعت روی پوست تمیز دلبری می‌کنه و می‌تونه اول صبح نوید بخش ی شروع پرانرژی براتون باشه . اگه به بوی زست لیمو علاقه مندید لیمونه تو چند لحظه کل وجودتون رو سرشار از انرژی و طراوت می‌کنه . ولی رو موندگاریش بیشتر از یکساعت حساب باز نکنید . .

It's very good. Lemony, tart, a little bit of sweetness up top to soften the citrus, but also a little bitter rind-y-ness. Zesty, fizzy, herbal. Smells like having a lightly sweetened Italian lemon soda, maybe with a sprig of rosemary. Transparent, crisp, and fresh. I like it a lot, but it also reminds me of a lot of other fragrances - particularly Bizzarria by Santa Maria Novella (which is more herbal and complex) and Cedrat 37 by Le Labo (which is more musky and addictive.) Limone is half the price or less of those fragrances though. Highly worth sampling if you're looking for a lemon fragrance.

This one opens with a zest of very realistic lemon (which also smells a lot like lime), one of the most realistic and authentic citrus smell I've smelled in a fragrance with a slight eau de cologne vibe in the back. Then it dries down to a creamy slightly sweet like an lemon tart/cake to give it some legs. Longevity is not the best but not the worst either.

First impressions: Opens like that sweet lemon candy, you know which one I'm talking about. Dries down to more a real lemon smell, that ginger starts to become more apparent. Overall a pass for me. You may like this, but there are much better citrus/lemon scents out there. Fyi: tested on paper
