Nerotic

Someone below said it doesn’t smell like Black Afgano — and I always feel like people should add “on my skin...” to those kinds of statements. Our skin and how it reacts to scent can vary a lot from person to person. On my skin, after about 30 minutes, Nerotic totally smells like it belongs to the same family as Black Afgano. Maybe a distant cousin, a younger brother... or a lover. It’s not as bold or intense as Black Afgano — it’s more sensual, even sexy, and definitely easier to wear, which I really like. I also own Carner Barcelona’s Cuirs, which I’ve always seen as living in a similar vibe to Black Afgano, and out of the three, it’s definitely the most wearable. Nerotic leans smokier though. To me, there’s a clear shared DNA between all three — especially when you get to the drydown. But like I said, scent is such a personal experience. Either way, I love this scent profile. Can’t really judge Nerotic’s projection properly because it’s way too hot here right now — around 27°C — but as for longevity, I could still smell it close to the skin after 15 hours, which is impressive. It’s a really intriguing scent — strong in presence, but in a quiet, intimate way. It doesn’t scream, it whispers. It caresses your nose — seduces, even. I got the 30ml bottle and now I’m not sure if I regret not going for the full 100ml... time will tell. Anyway, I’m super happy with the purchase. It’s my third scent from Laboratorio Olfattivo after Sacreste and Tiglio Mirabilis, and I’m more than impressed with what this house is putting out.

Nerotic opens on the skin as a cloud of smoke infused red fruits coloured by the bitterness of grapefruit and the green sharpness of bergamot. As the smoke settles a combination of dry, earthy saffron and leather against the sweetness of amber, and the milkiness of sandalwood builds layers of complexity, and so perfectly rounds out the fragrance. Moving further into the dry down Nerotic grows sweeter on the skin while the smoke and red fruit’s remain prominent. In these later stages, the fragrance gives off the impression of shisha and that heady intoxicating aroma that flows from a hookah lounge. Nerotic’s combination of dry smoke, green herbal accords and fruit sweetness is exotic, unique and completely addictive 😉 I would say that Nerotic leans masculine and is better suited for the cooler months. As for occasions, this is a fragrance better reserved for evening wear from any casual through to formal setting. Nerotic’s performance is fantastic too! The fragrance easily lasts 10 hours on the skin with moderate filling sillage up until the last few hours when the fragrance drops closer to the skin. A stunning smoky leathery scent! Reminds me Amouage scents. When I sniffed my hand I felt: I have it! But what is it among those that I have? It took me about 5 minutes pondering when I finally realised and tested side by side: it is similar to Bon Parfumeur's 303 piment, baie rose, benjoin. The latter is much sweeter though, also seems to be stronger and lasts longer than Nerotic. Both are excellent, of the same type, I like both. I see that the like-list has Meo Fusciuni's #1. I have tested that one too and I would say Meo Fusciuni's #1 (the old one) is a whole level higher than Nerotic, it has even better components, there's something "sparkling" in it that makes it very special to me. Similar to Nerotic? Possibly, I just can't remember that scent so well anymore, but Nerotic definitely doesn't have that extra sparkling crystal kind of quality, it's rather smoky type. Edit 19.06.26: the base notes seem to miss patchouli, I can smell it after an hour or so.

Opens up with a really juicy red fruit smell mixed with a bit of smokiness. I honestly don't detect much leather. During the dry down for me the amber accord (with smoky vanilla) is pretty noticeable. It is not harsh but it is a dark fragrance. To my nose this is not challenging at all and it honestly has a bit of a comforting side. I went in expecting something different and a bit more harsh but the reality is also quite a delight. I really like this one. If you are looking for a gentle smoky fragrance with some dry sweet touches this one might be for you.

It has a leathery note but also some metallic and sweet tang floating on top. Very pungent and not even in a pleasant way, but extremely addictive. smelling it on my clothes the next day makes me want to wear it again kind of addiction. I would definitely try it again during the winter when the climate makes its sillage weaker because on a summer day it is suffocating. Still I like it and I'd even go so far to say I'd be attracted to people who wear it.

This one is quite strong so i usually apply it only to my wrists so that i can dab a bit off if necessary. It’s such a nice spicy scent, the spice profile is kind of reminiscent of root beer imo. It’s definitely somewhat fruity but like a made-up winter fruit. It’s also distinctly powdery to me but not like a baby powder, it’s like inhaling crushed up chalky candies or something.

Nerotic is really a gothic masterpiece, i instantly fell in love with it on the first spray. Opens up with juicy red fruits, covered in a deep and rich smoke, ends with leathery amber. Smells like a damp cellar that has old smoked timber around it, absolute banger! Totally worth to buy. Longevity is around 6-8 hours on my skin, and silage is good. i give it a score of 8.3/10

Another fragrance I call "goth" in my mind. It has this dark vintage resinous element and a fruity sweetness that makes this enticing and sexy. It is borderline possibly offensive to people who prefer designer stuff, but I personally love this. I just wish the small bottle was black too. If I knew I'd like it this much, I would have bought a bigger bottle.

Spicy powdery Amber with smokey woods and Leather. There is also rose smell in the background. Beautiful stuff but I can see some people finding it too spicy for them. I think due to the spices it leans more masculine but a lady can wear it too. Scent 8.5/10 Longevity 8/10 Projection 8/10

Someone said it smells like oud and sandalwood trying to be gothic and I agree with it. Pretty strong woody notes, it is long lasting and a bit quirky in a good way! I feel like it is one of the better price to quality ratio in terms of how long lasting this is.

first blast is 99% very realistic anise . I think Im loosing my senses as anise is not in the pyramid here. This fragrance is another level .Certainly not for everyone and not for closed spaces .Name is very accurate however

After a shower I can still smell it!! The performance is amazing! The fragrance Is leatherly sexy and with a int of sweetness.

This perfume is maybe one of the best money per value you can get on the market... This stuff is potent, still very different form the same mass appealing fragrances and it reminds me very much of the oriental style you can find in much higher brands such as Amouge... It opens up very sweet and narcotic, the red fruits are very distinguishible and leave an acid aspect to the opening i personally do not smell very much of bergamot in here but maybe that is just the sour undertone the opening has, Since the opening and much more in the dried down i smell a woody smoky base line sweetened by ambers. Majestic dried down it feels like you are walking in a cemetery at night, really complex and unique scent, definitely not for the beginners... It is not my style of fragrances but i can really appreciate the craftsman of this piace really intrguing scent. Very good Job on the perfomances both really superb especially the sillage, veryo good scent trail it leaves !! Not a safe blind buy at all !! Not unisex in my opinion, this is masculine. Not mass apealing, it's not a compliment magnet and most people who are not into niche will not be appealed to it. But this is not the intent of the master perfumer in this work because he doesn't care about this... 9/10, just not my style at all.

Sometimes I’m flabbergasted by the way how completely different notes can compose very similar feeling or vibe. In olfactory memory, Nerotic immediately spawned picture of Diptyque’s Oud Palao. I do not understand how geranium can be voted so low, this parfume is quite rosy in the Oud Palao way (not an obvious old lady / WC cleaner rose, but rather a sophisticated manly - as someone below well described - jammy rose). There is similar smokey, oud wood drydown as in Palao. While Palao is super strong almost funky animalic at the start (and overpowering, you have to be very easy on the trigger), Nerotic comes across as better-behaved, adding the distinctive note of smooth leather. It is mass-appealing, yet still unique... I have to say this brand caught my attention, also because of the small size bottles that make it really affordable to buy and test.

this is a seriously narcotic, addictive scent. i must say from the outset that is NOT for me, however, it is quite intoxicating. there's a heap of jammy rose all throughout, and the saffron is definitely noticeable, along with the amber and the sandalwood, however, it just comes across as lacking something. can't put my finger on it, though. there's something off about this, and while i personally LOVE it, it's not enough to push me to look for a bottle. there's no snark, no skank and no snuff in it, possibly. it's hard to put into word WORDS, but it's just too nice, i think...

A very smooth, 'rich smelling' amber-woody scent with a few elements that remind me of Kemi 'Kemi' and Oud Maliki (Chopard). You know, I could wear something like this, I really like it, but it sits almost precisely in between these two scents (to my nose, anyway), and as such, I don't see myself needing to chase this one down. Though it is quite alluring and intriguing...

It resembles clearly to Private Label ( known for it oud-alike smell despite doesn ́t include in the pyramid ) . This one isn ́t so dry , woody and leathery due to red fruits and amber which feel elegant . Also we have to give thanks to the brand for their "reasonables" prices ( I won ́t say it loudly jeje ) . I just took one spray but it seems to have a good performance .

Very strong, very dark, very masculine. Starts out smokey and woody, but becomes gradually sweeter, but stays dark and resinous throughout. Slightly spicy with a note of rubber. I recommend it for colder seasons and for evening. Everlasting longevity. This is warm perfume.

از پس لرزه های اصلی که پیر نگرین با اینترلود به اندام صنعت عطر انداخت؛میشه به این کار اشاره کرد که سسیل زاروکیان با الهام از فضای اسپایسی و رزینی عطر خصوصا در شروع و تا میانه های اینترلود،این محصول رو ساخت نروتیک با فضایی ادویه ای و گرم شروع میشه رگه های انیمالیک و چرم رو به خوبی میشه ازش گرفت بوی علف های کوهی مثل پونه‌ی وحشی رو ازش می گیرم و فضای آمبری که بشتر شبیه به اینسنس شده و صمغ های مذاب رو یادآور میشن نروتیک سنگین و چغره حس روغنی و بالزامیک داره و ابعاد چوبی عطر هم در ادویه های و بخور حل شده که حس یک عود سنگین چند وجهی رو القا می کنه چرم به قوت خودش باقی می‌مونه اما وجه انیمالیک اش کم میشه این عطر شبیه اینترلوده اما پیداست که قصد کپی نبوده و کاملا دست پخت سسیل زاروکیان رو میشه توش پیدا کرد از نیمه های عطر به بعد راهش رو کامل جدا می کنه و این خاصیت رو در بیشتر عطرهای این برند دیدم فضای چرمی که در ابتدا وجه انیمالیک اش کم رنگ میشه به مرور خودش هم ضعیف تر میشه تا جایی که عطر بالزامیک تر میشه و چوب ها مسند کار رو به دست می‌گیرند شروع و پایان این عطر 180 درجه متفاوته و نمیشه با چند دقیقه قضاوت اش کرد ************* scent:7/10 longevity:10/10 sillage:8.5/10 purchase value:4.5/10 ******* overall:7.5/10

Testing it blind I get kind of an oudy, animalic musky vibe, with a hint of powder and maybe either a light fruity element or maybe it's a floral with a more fruity side. Either way it's warm, and dry (but not too dry). After a while I get more of a soft woody feel, but the funkiness (the good kind) is still there. Looking at the notes now it's the coriander adding the funk. The red fruits make sense, and so do much of the notes except I don't pick up much in the way of the citrus. The leather with the smoke suggests a bigger, in your face, body, but I find it's pretty approachable regardless. It does feel more non-woodsy than woodsy for a while, which I like, but the projection is okay, and while I didn't notice outside the first 20 minutes, it was always there in some way throughout the day.

smoke with very deep dark fruits and berries, pretty strong sillage, over time the amber comes forward and really takes over, which is interesting because at first it feels almost fresh and fruity in a way, then the amber just overtakes everything. there are some animalic tones in the background, giving it a slight funk that keeps it from being too clean, over time, it gets smoother and sweeter, which is pretty pleasing not bad but not something I see myself wearing

A nice dark and balanced combination of smoke, tobacco, amber, saffron and black leather, unfortunately I don't smell any fruity notes even at the beginning and geranium gradually dominates so strong, that after 2 hours the perfume is almost suffocative. Anyone who knows geraniums in their best bloom will understand. It stays relatively low on the skin and goes away quickly

I’ve waited for it to arrive for a week, and according to reviews I had to like it, but... I’m so highly disappointed! It has nothing with woody smoky notes, nothing with red fruits and leather. It’s full of spicy in a damned cinnamony way coriander that kills all for me. It’s not tasty nor gothic, it’s just even stuffy ‘cause of its synthetics. And it’s mostly feminine, for dat “femme fatale” kind of a woman to wear. I’m so glad I’ve bought only 2ml ‘cause at first I wanted to blindbuy a full bottle!

I gave my partner a big bottle of this because he said he liked it. Big mistake....everytime he uses this i don’t really like it. When we travel by car and he’s wearing this i even get a bit nauseous. Very cloying and sharp. It also smells very ‘christmassy’ to me. So not for me. But a quality scent, thats for sure.

Reformulated into a shadow of its old self. Get the pre-2026 batches if you can. This new one is lacking in every regard.

As soon as I sprayed Nerotic by Laboratorio Olfattivo, it struck me as an unconventional gourmand. The blend of red fruits and citrus, combined with the woody, amber and balsamic base notes, immediately brought to mind a Sacher Torte: the dark, bittersweet chocolate side meeting the tart, fruity sharpness of jam. In the background, I also picked up a bitter balsamic nuance that reminded me of liquorice — a distinctive and recurring aroma in the olfactory signature of its creator, Cécile Zarokian. A tempting, mouth-watering contrast. To put it simply: if a perfume makes my stomach growl, makes me hungry, and gives me the urge to take a bite out of myself... then to me, it’s a gourmand! During the first few hours, the fragrance projected with force, creating a powerful scented bubble around me and filling the space. No one commented, but I’m certain that anyone who came near me — even at a few meters’ distance — must have clearly sensed its bold presence for at least six hours. After about eight hours, the fragrance evolves, shedding much of its sweetness and becoming a dark, woody amber with a slight smokiness and a leathery hint that adds depth and a more sensual touch. And it’s leather that becomes the final protagonist, slowly fading between the tenth and twelfth hour after application, bringing this olfactory journey to its close. Ultimately, what makes this perfume truly interesting is its transformation through distinct yet interconnected phases. A scent narrative in well-defined chapters, unfolding with coherence but never predictability, making Nerotic a dynamic and nuanced experience.

مثل پیکانی کشیده در کمان فرو برید تو عصب های مخاطب نروتیک یا عصبی مثل زهر پخش میشه توی خون چقدررر خوبه . چقدرررر نافذه این عطر چقدر کاریزماتیکه . تلخ و سیاه و شومه . مثل ی بختک میوفته به جون آدمی . نروتیک گرچه رایحه نو و جدیدی نیست ولی ژانری بسیار کمیابه که هرکسی جرات پوشیدنش رو نداره شروع عطر بواسطه حمله سندل وود به سیستم عصبی وحشتناک شبیه درایز ون نوتن از فردریک ماله . همون جوری تلخ و عصبی . با ی خروار سافرالین سافرالین نت سنتز شده زعفرانه که بسیار تلخ و تند و تیزه مثل بوی جوهر خودکار انگار روی چرم با خودکار بنویسی و بوش کنی .همینقدر خاص قلب عطر شباهت زیادی به سانتال عود بریکورت پیدا می‌کنه. سیسیل زاروکییان انگار موقع فرمول کردن این عطر گوشه چشمی به عطر بسیار موفق قدیمی خودش یعنی پرایوت لیبل هم داشته . نروتیک چکیده ای از فضای بویایی سه عطر بالاست . خیلی رسمی و شیکه تلخ و سیاهه. کیفییت عطر عالیییه یقین دارم تو ترکیبات این عطر وتیور و عود هم وجود داره که درکنار سندل وود و نت چرمی چهارچوب اصلی این هرم بویایی رو تشکیل داده وقتی این عطرو میزنید می ره تو پوست و جاری میشه تو رگ ها نمره من به این عطر 10 از 10

Seeming other reviewers and the AI Pros and Cons chart filled my head with many ideas before smelling this, I feel the need to clarify what it isn't: This isn't like Black Afgano. It's not like Interlude Man. It's not like The Moon. It's not like Tuscan Leather. It's not like Black Saffron. This is not smoke forward. This is not overbearing or cloying. This is not feminine. This is not Christmassy. This opens up zingy, fresh and lightly fruity with a waxy vibe. Dries down to ambery dry powdery woods. Some of that red fruit vibe exists throughout the scent's life, but sometimes in the silage it hits like the smell of sweet glue. It's softness I feel like can lend to be a comforting scent for people. It's not harsh or headache inducing. If you're wanting something with more character, look elsewhere.

Intriguing scent. Dark, smoky leather with sweet berries and woody drydown. On my skin it seems that it has a lot of Oud and Ambroxan in the base... Honestly it smells very good, masculine...and even sexy for the first few minutes but the smoke and Ambroxan (or similar synthetic amber/woods) are burning my sinuses and I need to wash it off... I would recommend to try it first. If you are not sensitive to harsh aromachemicals this might be a very beautiful, masculine scent to try...if you are prone to headaches induced by Ambroxan or similar elements just be very careful.

Sweet amber. I kind of smell cacao powder in here beside the amber, saffron, sandalwood, & vanilla. The fruits in here doesn't show on the top note, it could be some berries mingled with saffron and it shows right after 10 minutes in. the calmer it goes the sweeter it gets and more powdery it goes. "Hypnotic, sensual, sexual, erotic, nerotic" what the creator said.... well... i don't think it's that sexy! it's ok, but not sexy.

I'm loving this. A sweet woodsy incense, burning fireplace kind, not chuchy or sour. Plenty of amber and leather but none of the notes are overwhelming, all blends together nicely. Touch of tartness lifts this up too, so it is quite fruity. Very unisex leans a little masculine, very high quality niche.

for fans of dry smokey fragrances. Nothing too weird and even get compliments on it (from hugs--it doesn't project everywhere). Really approachable despite the name being so close to "neurotic"

A dry woody and inky oud of the saffron variety; a transparent one, bleached and friendly. Smoke and rubberness are tamed; rays of light are penetrating the "Nero" part of the title.

agree with what i've read here. just adding that this to me is like a lighter, ambery version of nasomatto's "black afgano". really sexy, perfect for cool days.
