Nun

It seems to me that tuberose is missing from the list of notes that constitute the floral heart of this perfume, because Nun is very similar to Gucci Bloom EDP. Obviously, many white floral notes are quite similar, and it is entirely possible that the mixture of white lotus, jasmine and ylang-ylang creates this tuberose-like effect. Nevertheless, now that I have smelled Bloom in Nun, I can’t un-smell it! Another obvious inspiration is D&G Light Blue, because the opening of Nun is almost identical to Light Blue, before it morphs into Bloom. So, my main (and only significant) objection to Nun is that it’s not very original. Other than that, it’s a very enjoyable sweet floral - super-feminine and perfect as a wedding fragrance (which contradicts its name!) The opening fruity notes quickly evaporate and make room for floral sweetness, whereas the base is pleasantly woody - but not woody enough to steer this scent into a more masculine direction. Overall, Nun is enjoyable from start to finish and unlikely to offend anyone, because white florals are tamed and ‘purified’. Nun’s longevity and projection are also quite similar to Bloom and Light Blue - you’ll get about 4-5 hours on the skin, with a strong opening, but weak development.

this is exactly what I think a modern day nun would smell like lol. It’s fresh, clean, slightly sweet, airy, and floral. This opens with sweet pear with fresh citrus and a flowery neroli, airy and light. The florals in the heart of this blend in a sweetly fresh and aquatic blend, with a banana like ylang ylang. This is very floral but it’s not overwhelmingly so, like a fresh spring day, it’s inviting, comforting, and freshly light. The dry down offers some warmth with warm woods and enveloping musk. The muskiness feels like a cloud, a hug from a pretty girl, a breeze on a warm day. This is scent is beautifully simple but in a way that works really well.

A very rare type of fruity-floral perfume - it is thick and sweet-sweet, but moist an dewy. And this saves it from being cloying. Tender but juicy. This is not a bouquet, but a warm summer garden. Such an ideal summer, when it's very warm, but not stuffy, not too hot and not too dry, and you sit in the shade on a bench by the pond. The flowers are somewhat abstract, sweetish creamy. From the bottle it seems more powdery floral-fruity-sweet, on the skin - it becomes more dewy. I would not change a single small detail here, everything is so harmonious. Makes you smile. What at first seemed like a failed blind buy turned into one of my favorite perfumes.

I’ve been wearing this for a few weeks now and absolutely love it!! It’s opens with a very light citrus and pear (which makes it’s a bit watery but not in a sharp way). Then it slowly settles into a nice creamy floral, one that personally I’ve not smelled in many perfumes before. I definitely smell the lotus and yang ylang and it’s actually reminds me of the target jasmine+ylang ylang candle. My favorite thing about this is the dry down of this on my skin! I love the musky floral and it works well on my skin. It’s definitely something I’ll be wearing more often!!

I just blind bought this fragrance based on notes and comments. I am so happy I did! This is a wonderful fragrance with both freshness and sweetness, perfectly balanced! It’s uplifting, bright and feminine. On my skin the floral aspect is what I get the most. The florals are dewy and sweet. This is a winner in my collection. This fragrance came across kind of mystical to me when I first applied it. It is lovely and fresh, floral and pretty, with a twist of citrus. Very well blended and inoffensive, I’d be comfortable wearing it in a small space or office. It feels sophisticated and lovely.

I am a longtime fan of Laboratorio Olfattivo’s scents. I will say that from the beginning.. Nun is the first watery, aquatic, clean, fresh floral fragrance that’s exclusively summer appropriate from their offerings that I have tried so far. What made me want Nun was the combo of lotus flower and ylang ylang. Add to that my favourite fruit in perfume, pear and add to cart... Unlike most of the other scents of LO, the ones in the darker bottles, Nun is a dewy, watery, semi sweet fresh floral suited for hot and humid weather. It’s not a deep, rich, lush floral for cooler days. It lacks substance... The only drawback of Nun, the scent itself is beautiful, feminine, elegant and very natural smelling! As an exclusive summertime floral, Nun is the perfect everyday, casual scent. I love lotus flower since 2010’s when I first discovered Omnia Crystalline. Ylang ylang is a more recent love and every time I smell it, it transports me to a holiday on a tropical island. Alongside lotus, ylang ylang, jasmine and neroli are the other two prominent floral accords. I can’t get per se the citruses in the top, only the pear note. From the base notes I feel that the woody notes and a clean, white musk are the most distinctive. Ambery notes not so much. For me, Nun comes across mainly as an aethereal, light, watery, breezy mix of subtle flowers and sweet, juicy pear. Simple, easy grab and go type of scent. Mass appealing for anyone who loves florals, smells less niche and more designer like, but stands out more than most of designer perfumes. As expected, this is the first LO fragrance that didn’t wowed me with the performance. I am not disappointed with my purchase because of the gorgeous smell but as far as longevity and projections goes, Nun it’s not a top tier! It performs moderately, and it lingers on the skin, but it sits very close to skin, isn’t much of a projector. If you’re like me and love Bvlgari’s Omnia Crystalline, give this one a try. It’s more heavy on the florals than that one, but you might discover a new favourite!

It's very beautiful, I loved it when I first smelled it in a boutique. It smells really crisp, like a fizzy soda. 7 up or Sprite. Juicy, wet. Very pear, florals are extremely dewy. Drinking soda by the pond, there are ducks and frogs playing on lilypads. It's quite sweet and projects quite a bit. Better for a spring or summers day off while running errands. I haven't worn this in a long while because I find it to be a bit too beast mode (for my standards) and it gives me a headache. I like my fragrances to only be detectable when someone hugs me, and this isn't possible with Nun. Also I don't really smell Jasmine honestly - water lotus is the loudest floral in the mix. So keep that in mind.

Interesting. The beginning few seconds reminds me of osmanthus: soft sweet floral with a fruity edge. Ironically, It smells better than a lot of osmanthus themed perfume, for lack of "dry-fermented-tea" smell I found in such perfumes. It has put that much-needed moisture feeling into Osmanthus-esque accord. We should know by now, good tops just don't last, ugh...to me the body notes are just non-surprising white florals: silky tuberose, sweet gardenia, and the slightest hint of creamy coconut.

Beautiful lotus scent with neroli and citrus. Very aquatic, I can almost feel the water-drenched petals floating on a crystalline pond. The ylang ylang and the amber give a hint of warmth, but it's mostly a fresh scent. I also feel a subtle green note that almost reminds me of fig (the leafy part). Got it as a little decant and at first it didn't impress me much. Felt clean but also a bit generic. But Summer is really it's season: it's super refreshing. Performance is average.

Oh, wow, the pear opening is so sweet! This is the scent of pear which is used to be named in my country as the "buttery". Very soft and creamy, also saccharine. With the aroma of bergamot and neroli it is like wafer (crisp). Flowery note is pleasant, but personally I find jasmine heavy and not clean. It is the only negative I gave in a comment. Luca Maffei proves once again that he creates delicate, precise art. Nice sillage and good longevity (5-6 hrs).

This is what I wear when I am in a small room with my therapist. When I want to wear a sophisticated scent, but don't want it to be too polarizing, artificial, strong or sexy. Very clean with a touch of powder. Innocence with a touch of grit on the drydown. The other one I would wear for the occasion is Chanel 1957, but that's a much higher price point.

Nun is a truly unique and uplifting fragrance! The citrus opening is bright and refreshing, and the white floral heart is absolutely divine. It has a beautiful balance of sweetness and freshness, making it perfect for both day and night. I get compliments on this scent all the time.

It’s nice summer parfume... smells on floral than changed ... Lotus, ylang, pears, on first spray you can smell... interesting scent for me... different then other florals parfume... 9/10 it’s not long lasting but for summer it’s enough .

This is extremely similar to portrayal woman, by amouge. So if you love portrayal, but not the price tag. Then this is the next best thing at a fraction of the cost but with the same longevity! Superb.

pleasant fragrance, clean , pure and fresh. Easy to wear, not very distinctive but I like it.

Testing blind this came across as breezy floral with a bit of muskiness. There was a very light and familiar sweetness mixed in with the floral elements that I could not place but looking at the notes now it's the pear, but more like pear water. I don't really pick up on the woody notes or amber, but everything else is present, however the citrus is very faint. I'd say it is the mix of the jasmine and white lotus that stick out followed by the pear swirling around the musky-ylang-ylang body, with that touch of sweetness from the pear. While it leans spring white sun dress with cute flowers it isn't overly feminine and the musk keeps it grounded. Nice, easy, approachable, giftable, but not for me personally.

fruity juicy opening with pear note and then a strange evolution on a creamy lotus a bit too flat...it's simple but not really in a good way => air fresh spray comes to my mind at each inhalation.

I find it more suitable for fall days, rather than for summer. It is weak, 2-3 hours max. And I really don't like it much. Reminds me on toilet air refreshers. White musk and lotus are strongest.

Despite all the promising notes I feel very strong powder note from the very beginning till the end. Smells mature - like 80's perfume. As citrus/gourmand frag lover I say its not for me.

"Lotus, ylang, pears, & rubber" that's what i got when i first sprayed this on. The sweet rubber stayed for a certain time as the mild citrus was there all the time. It was quite weird when i sprayed it on till the rubber note showed up quite clear within seconds. It's not a huge note rather than blended within the lotus, ylang, pears, and the citrus. The woods comes up with some hints of musk after 5 minutes in. The jasmines almost not there. It is quite fair to be specific, i kind of like the ingenuity by bringing up the rubber sweet in this form without that dirty animalic yet captivating method. Quite interesting. The creator wrote "By this palindrome word, the Ancient Egyptian meant the primordial water, in other words the God Nun. According to the legend, this water gave birth to the Lotus, a flower which was used to hide into the water during the night, to open up again at the sunshine. While blossoming out the flower revealed the Sun God Atum. Hence the symbolism of the Sun God, of rebirth. This fragrance arises from the Nun and opens up at the sunshine, while its scented molecules spread out into the air. It’s a tribute to this iconic, symbolic flower." I see this CLEARLY as an ancient Egypt flower. It reminds me a bit of "Ashoka" by Neela Vermeire with it's texture but a very less sweet than "Ashoka", i believe a better balance than "Ashoka".

I agree 100% with dadudelebowski. This one smells very different on skin than on paper. Lotus was the first note i picked up when sprayed on paper, but when I sprayed it on my wrist, it smelled very very familiar and then I realized it smelled just like philosykos edp! Nun doesn’t give that distinctive fig scent as philosykos does, but it does give off that same overall powdery/soft/creamy vibe Anyways, this is a quite elegant and soft perfume and I don’t see why anyone would not like this🥰🥰🥰

Bubblegum white floral with sweet amber notes... I literally have NOTHING against this kind of scent, or scents that are like this, but I don't usually wear these, and I already have a booming white floral scent kinda like this one (a little better!), so it's a no for me, but, for you, this might be RIGHT up your alley. It is indeed a great scent, I cannot fault it, and that's the truth. It's just too sweet, floral and pretty.

a very refreshing white floral scent. It starts with fruity/citrusy notes and changes into white florals and musk. The pear note in the opening gives a watery character to it but it won't last long and lotus takes into place along with soft musk and jasmine which gives it a clean/floral feeling. Easy to wear and comfy.

Gorgeous floral I didn't know I needed. I love a watery, dewy, textured floral. The pear and lotus combo along with the white florals is delicate yet beautiful. It's not going to fill a room, but it lays on skin beautifully and remains on clothing. I tend to avoid heady jasmine's and this one is my perfect version.

To my nose, this is very similar to Philosykos just less green , more woody and floral. There's something creamy about the complexion here which leads me to believe there's a coconut note in there somewhere. Either way, this would smell lovely on a woman especially during the spring or fall.

Something in the dry down absolutes disgusts me. I had to wash it off. A Creamy fecal/dirty sock smell when u smell it close up on skin. Quite foul. Opening is nice tho. Vanigloria also had a rotten smell to me in the dry down. Strange.
