Pompelmo

This is quite similar to fresh soapy scents that have the same ingredients yet it also smells quite unique on its own. It is as if you have smelt it before yet it has a nice touch that you haven't had in any other scent. It could be the mastic touch to it. simply put this is very nice and has a fresh acidic soapy feel to it. It has a very clean smell but is also heavy at the same time. It could easily be a signature scent for someone.

Corfu Lights and Shadows by John Singer Sargent

Pretty much as advertised. In testing blind the grapefruit was apparent, and a hint spicy wood sat just below. It's more aromatic than the individual notes suggest and I was expecting more Herby notes mixed in. I wouldn't call it mellow but it isn't specifically strong or overwhelming in any notes. I wouldn't call it boring, but after a hour and the brightness of the grapefruit dies down, it settles into a somewhat generic (albeit nice) aromatic fragrance that isn't particularly interesting. So, middle of the road: nice, unfussy, clean, but familiar, common(ish), and uninspiring (which sometimes you want). To me it just leans masculine a hint, ok longevity, good projection. I'd call it office safe.

This is probably the only one from this collection that I don’t like. It’s a lot more floral than the others, so if you found the others to be too fruity, you’ll probably like this one. But it’s definitely an outlier in the collection, for sure.

this one wasn’t a favorite from the viaggio in italia collection - it’s a little bit soapy & harsh. i haven’t tried many grapefruit fragrances that i enjoy but one that comes to mind that’s a bit sweeter and more bright is summer of 84 by Kerosene.
