Inspired by what many call the "Pearl of the Mediterranean", Salina is an olfactory remembrance of a small island located in the Aeolian archipelago, north of Sicily. The invigorating temperate marine climate of its namesake isle is captured by a smooth and heavily salted citrus opening, tinged with the scent of lofty pines blown from the hills above by briny breezes. The most intriguing quality of Salina is the way in which perfumer David Mauritte captures the beauty of both the island and the sea, without any watery fruity notes, ultimately achieving the same clarity and aqueous aura with marine materials. Unfurling like a perfumed poem, this scent tells a salty tale of bitter herbs and hearty blooms dotting the coastline. Present also, underlying the entire perfume, are wafts of beach containing the gentle (yet undeniably odd) desiccated aroma of petrified starfish and brittle sea urchins, deposited by lapping waves of frothy lavender. The sunbaked sand mixed with saline spray is soon washed away by an incoming tide of translucent musk. Sun faded cedarwood drifts and dries, bobbing on the sea's surface, while bathed in glowing vanilla shimmers. The 15% concentration of this perfume projects just enough, lasting longer than almost any in the aromatic aquatic genre. Neither pretentious nor ubiquitous, Salina resonates a nautical elegance with an emphasis on both hesperidic and true oceanic accords. The delightful addition of myrtle flower and absinthe (wormwood) fuse everything into a sturdy and head-and-shoulders above "the rest" of the endless ocean of woody maritime fragrances out there. I used to love and douse myself with large doses of "calone colognes". The more the better!! (Sick...I know) After a decade of sniffing around my tastes are now more eclectic (nay, eccentric!) and well-rounded; yet this fragrance had me ready to "relapse" and take the plunge with pleasure... I've been there, sniffed that and lost the proverbial t-shirt; so to speak, never once thinking that I would find such a truly aromatic and rather unique aquatic in such a plain flaçon with such a simple name. Salina not only lasted how I expect a perfume at its pricepoint should (hour after delightful hour), it didn't smell the least bit trite and could feasibly cross the ever looming and somewhat pesky seasonal line in the sand and compliment the crisper sunny days of autumn as well as days spent basking at the shore. I think it is the younger brother of Armani Prive Bleu Turquoise. You know, that brother who wants to prove he is worthy of respect and joins the army, while the older Bleu Turquoise builds a respectable image in politics. While Salina minces the dirt of no man's land (and Byredo's Rose is waiting to rescue him in case of God-knows-what) and throws grenades from the trenches, Bleu Turquoise decides on a tie knot for another soiree. Imagine them both meeting at a sea shore one day. The pampered Bleu Turquoise would look for a maintained beach - the one with a shower, sunbeds, umbrellas and at least two bars. He would put on sunscreen and barely step into the water not to affect his soft skin. It is not bad, we all can be moody sometimes. Salina would dive into the sea straight from the cliff. Even if there is no cliff around, he will find one. He does not care if the water is too salty or too cold. In fact, Salina is rinsing his nose with this water. Good for health, they say. He still is the brother of Bleu Turquoise, you can't ignore the genes. He can stand up for himself, but somewhere deep in his heart Salina is a sissy. A confusing but intriguing mixture.

A very alluring salty, freshie fragrance that is also comforting. Lavender and vanilla mix so well in the blend. It is in the same time salty and marine, but also woody and herbal. It is an airy, radiant, fresh and aromatic with a base of vanilla and cedar. One of the fragrances that smells like you would expect when reading the notes in my opinion. Very beautiful done and super underrated. Salina smells like you're sitting on a rocky peninsula in the Mediterranean, sunbathing, surrounded by sea breeze and pine needles smell everywhere and stagnant rock-pools baking in the afternoon sun. There's some myrtle trees behind you, perhaps some pine trees or some eucalyptus. It's just incredible and I love it. I can see this becoming one of my all-time favourites for sunny days or for rainy ones, when I need something to lift my mood. Longevity and projection is great and on clothes lasts until next wash. The packaging is really nice and sturdy, but the bottle is fairly simple and plain. For the price sold, the quality of the juice is truly outstanding!

This one is very unique and stands out of the crowd. I like it more then it's either sunny and hot or rainy, because it is provides very naturalistic stormy sea aroma, which either goes on contrast with hot weather or emphasize the melancholic wetness of surroundings when it's rainy. On those two occasions the perfume has the deepest undertones and it reminds me of wild rocky beach with a lot of seaweed which stucked to rockes. It doesn't actually reminds me of Mediterranean island, but rather of Baltic Sea shores. On other occasions, for example, when it's around 20 degrees warm and cloudy, but no rain, it smells as an average (though, again, very realistic and straightforward) salty sea and might resemble Mediterranean. I mostly bought it for hot/rainy weather occasions, because I really enjoyed this somewhat depressive but powerful lonely stormy sea aroma.

Heard about this fragrance in one negative review with Megamare by Orto Parisi. As Megamare does not scent for me with anything unpleasant I was really curious to try this one. I am not a big fan of aquatic fragrances and Megamare is too aquatic for me in a very traditional way. But Salina feels very different. I smell those aquatic notes but they are less intense than it’s SALINITY. From all the tastes are prefer salty. So this fragrance goes beyond smell for me. It really triggers my taste receptors and I start remembering all salty dishes that I love — pickles, oysters, caviar, tuna tartar...But it does not smell like any food. I prefer to wear in hot weather as I get more of these salty, woody and herbal notes.

I first smelt this on somebody else, and the scent that pushes further off the skin is mostly thick, salty air with a the myrtle giving the impression of kelp. Closer to the skin one can detect more herbal, medicinal and citrusy facets, beautifully blended with those other notes. My points of comparison are Eau de Merveilles Bleu by Hérmes, which is very citrus dominant by comparison and Acqua di Sale by Profumum Roma (from a distance) but the myrtle note is much more prominent in the PR and (to my tastes) not as well blended, and at this price point, this is a far more attractive option. A beautiful fragrance and for me the ideal marine scent.

This scent is the essence of the mediterranean sea breeze bottled in a sincere and simple package, it is fresh and salty as the name says. It's a sensation, an emotion, it's not strong, high or incisive, actually it is so soft and evanescent that only who has been in Mediterannean Sea, specifically in Italy, can recognize in this juice the shadow of a memory. Beautiful as piece of olfactive art, but I'm not sure if considering this as a everyday scent.

This is my first wear of my sample and it is definitely reminiscent of the salty but slightly sweet smell of skin after a day at the beach. I haven't smelt anything like it - it's quite beautiful. It also has a density to it although it's not a heavy scent at all. I think this brand is really overlooked - so far I've loved everything I've tried from them.

Smells very familiar to me, nostalgic even. A cloudy day on the mediterranean coast. Cold wind is blowing salty air and pine needles infusing it's scent into freshly washed whites (lavender scented detergent) that are hanging below the windows of an old stone house. Fresh laundry marine fragrance. Beautiful.

Very much what it says - salty water, but with creamyness of the suntan lotion, but not the cheap one, the expensive one. Very warm, but breezy. Strong but gentle. I'm amazed how good this perfume is. Rather for women. Or feminine people. Or for layering! Their scented body balm is amazing.

For the first 10 seconds I thought I had sprayed my arm with Secretions Magnifique. After those 10 seconds of panic, it becomes quite lovely. Not a love, but a like; not a safe blind buy for sure.

Unpopular opinion, but this is not a summer perfume. As much as I love it in cool weather, it is unbearable in the heat - all those "fruits of the sea" and fish bones come out.

Salina is a fragrance that surprises you from the very first moment. It has something magnetic about it—something that sets it apart from everything else. The instant you spray it, the first thing you notice is salt. It’s sharp, real, almost tangible. Like you’ve just come back from the sea and your skin, now dry, carries that briny film that tingles slightly to the touch. Soon after, eucalyptus emerges—fresh and balsamic—blending with the salt to create a truly unique sensation: a clean yet enveloping sea breeze. Not cold or icy, but more like a warm current of air suddenly drifting through open curtains. You can also pick up light hints of resins, an aromatic touch that evokes Mediterranean vegetation—perhaps myrtle, maybe pine needles—but always in the background. As time passes, Salina softens. That salty, sun-kissed skin accord remains at its heart, but now there's something warmer, perhaps a trace of soft vanilla or white musk, that adds a feeling of comfort and cleanliness. It never turns into a gourmand or becomes overly ozonic; it stays grounded—more natural and, paradoxically, more human. It’s a fragrance you can wear almost year-round, which is one of its greatest strengths. In autumn or winter, it brings the feeling of open air and wide horizons. In spring, it pairs beautifully with bright, breezy days. That said, during the hottest days of summer—especially under strong sun—it can become a bit much. The salty and balsamic notes may feel too intense or less balanced in high heat. That being said, Salina isn’t a fragrance you wear to be noticed. It’s more intimate, more introspective. You wear it to feel something, not to make others feel something. And once it gets under your skin, it’s hard to let go.

Tried LO Salina today, and as mentioned already Heeley's Sel Marin and CsP's Aqua Motu comes to mind first. Maybe a little Montale's Sandflowers. Yes, for a perfume they are tricky to carry, to some it will smell of the humid breeze of the sea carrying seaweed, salt, ozonic scents, but for some that humidity has somewhat a rotten egg-ish note, most likely a blend including synthetics like Calone and Scentenal. But this is exactly it, not every perfume is created to please crowds. In my opinion Salina is another amazing creation of what otherwise would remain as an abstract olfactory concept. But now it's there, you can spray it on your skin, and you can feel it. You may not like it, but it deserves an appreciation for sure. Salina to me smells exactly like how my cotton bracelets smell after summer. The salty sea water scent infused into the fabric, dried in the sun, then got wet with seawater again, and dried again, and so on.

A unisex version of Mugler's Womanity. Womanity minus the sweet figs plus a harsh, almost sour pine scent = Salina. I understand why it is a polarizing scent and it is not for me. Edit: I have a small test spray of this and I'm using it as an airfreshener right now to use it up. Turns out that it is kind of addictive. I'm really gonna miss it once it's gone. I still don't think I would wear it but I recently received 2 bottles of Rem by Reminiscence (Rem and Rem Coco) and they seem to capture exactly those salty, spicy, watery and this somewhat sweet aspects that I've grown to like about Salina. So, if Salina is a bit too daring and different for you, Rem might be a wearable alternative.

In my opinion this is a winter fragrance. It can be too strong and unpleasant in hot weather, smelling like seaweed and being a bit repugnant. But with cold temperature it has a nice feeling of mysterious salty ocean that has actually a cold and deep dark quality. Freezing breeze, sound of the waves crashing on the rocks, evokes a nostalgic sense of a tempestuous sea in winter.

I don't understand why this gets a lot of hate. It's really pleasant and it really does remind me of the sea. I would say it's in the same genre of Heeley Sel Marin but not quite as safe. I actually like this better than Heeley. Really peeps, you need to check this out. 9/10

I feel bad for the hate comments, wondering why ? Even the sale lady didn’t recommend to try this perfume. Any ways I tried it and its really amazing so marine and salty.. very fresh and energetic. Its more masculine and sensual.

HOLY OCEAN. The texture on this one is incredible. It’s photorealistic, dockside ocean. Like your face is stuck right into the sea foam as the water pulls back from a wave.

Getting Strong Tauer Phatoblue Vibes, Without The Fennel. If You Like Salty Fragrances This Is Good Crisp, Clean Fresh.

Always interesting testing fragrances completely blind. Here I thought I got a relatively mellow and hintly warm amber feeling. There's a slight herbaceous element in the opening that then gets more warm. To my surprise are the notes and this is supposed to be aquatic. While I get the pine, lemon,. Myrtle, lavender, cedar and a hint of the tonka bean and musk, I only recognize some saltines and sea notes now, and they are faint. It's more warm to me than Sandy and breezy. While there is a hint of sweetness to it, it feels more lemon than vanilla. While the longevity was good, projection was pretty much a skin scent after an hour. At the end of the day (whether it is summer or the all, IDK) I'd have to pass this herby beach.

È la mia prima recensione per cui la farò breve: un Aqua Motu spinto al massimo, più amaro e più "profondo". Limone non pervenuto, ed è un peccato per me. Molto ozonato e tanto, tantissimo sale. Ricorda davvero il profumo che resta sulla pelle dopo una giornata di tuffi e sole, ma manca un po' di dolcezza. Non lo boccio, per ora è un ní. Sento che manca qualcosa per farmelo amare.

God I wanted to love this scent. But I didn't. Here's the thing, it absolutely evokes the beach. But the beach in all the wrong ways. It smells like a subway car full of hot sweaty people who have just spent the day at Coney Island. Like beach, but like dirty, fishy beach. It was too real for me. And worse, still, it had an insane longevity. Seven hours later and I still smelled like I had spent a hot day at the fish market and tried to exfoliate with sea salt afterward. My dress reeked of it. It's a fascinating scent and I was continually stunned at how "real" it smelled to me... but I didn't want to wear it. Maybe, on someone else's skin, it would be a better beachy scent. I'll stick with Laboratorio Olfattivo's "Cozumel."

No, I can't like it. The impressions of salty air, unrestrained sea and aromatic herbs are real and coherent, but too raw. This is not a pleasant breeze, natural and refreshing. This scent is thousand-times louder, irritating. After a few hours is more decent and marine note is quite appealing. Unfortunately, for me it is the final phase: I don't want to wait for settling to enjoy the scent.

As much as I love a salty, beachy scent - this is a no for me. The top notes of pine and lemon are too strong and give the overwhelming scent of hospital ward. There is a very nice salt accord, mixed with something a bit sweeter (tonka/vanilla) that lurks in the background which I enjoy, but the lemon/pine unfortunately drowns it out at the beginning.

A lot of people here are overreacting. This fragrance is nothing crazy just a soft musky scent when it dries down. Might be too strong so don’t spray a lot. It can be nauseating though.

Appreciate the composition as a concept, but hardly wearable. A seafoam scent with brine. It does have a slightly fishy smell with smth like a wet asphalt impression.

Can't even find words for how fucking disgusting this smells. If you're gonna test this definitely don't immediately try it on your skin - big mistake.

Interesting... literally smells like saline water used to clean out a wound

well this one was my least favorite out of everything I’ve smelled from this brand. It’s honestly...terrible. And I rarely say that about a fragrance bc I try to give ones I don’t like the benefit of the doubt. This one just smells like straight up wet dog. Like it smells like soppy, mildew like, and just bad? On paper, it’s bad, straight from the bottle it’s bad, and on skin it’s worse. Just smells bad lol no other notes.

It is a chemical weapon. I am unsure whether it is ambroxan or ISO, but it gives the glass-like olfactory effect. It is way too chemical. Unpleasant. There are much better marine fragrances available in the market. I like the brand, but this one is a hate.

This is fucking vile stagnant sea water with dead sea urchins floating in there since a week... don't let it touch your clothes cause it will fucking stay on them forever ...

سالینا سالینا لابراتور الفتیوو معجونی از دل ایتالیا . نام گرفته شده از جزیره ای در مدیترانه . برزخی از عشق یا تنفر سالینا رو میشه از دو وجه احساسی برسی کرد . وجه نوآورانه و ارتستیک و یونیک یا وجهی انتظاعی و کاملا سنتتیک . رایحه ای که سالینا ارائه میده ممکنه برای خیلی ها حس دافعه داشته باشه چون تاکید زیادی رو نت اکواتیک و حس سنتتیک داره ولی ممکنه برای افرادی که طرفدار ژانر مدرن هستند جذاب و جالب باشه . سالینا رایحه ای از بوی دریا رو شبیه سازی کرده که برای من با تست چند باره حس بوی نسیمی از دریا رو داره وقتی اطراف ساحل باشید . بوی کالون و حس مینرال . رایحه جلبک های مونده تو آفتاب داغ و کمی منتول و کمی بوی زست لیمو کلیات خنکی رو القا می‌کنه . ولی تاکید روی نت کالون ( آب دریا ) حسی متفاوت ایجاد می‌کنه که تا قبل از این آنچنان مرسوم نبوده حتی تو عطر آکوا دی ساله پروفوموم روما که شباهت نسبی به سالینا داره رفتاری نرم تری شاهد هستیم . از همون شروع رایحه پشت اون حس خنک و سبز تلخییه جذابی احساس میشه که از قلب رایحه تا پایان وجود داره و این چیزی نیست جز کورمارین حتی کورمارین هم در سالینا مثل کالون اوردوزه گاهی حس بوی بادام تلخ داره گاهی حس بوی نفتالین با این حال حس تلخ و بادومی کورمارین و نت کالون و نت های مینرال به شما میگه که سالینا تمام قد عطریست سنتتیک که ذره ای احساس طبیعی نداره ولی این جنس سنتتیک به حد عطرهای کیمیکال و آزار دهنده نیست . و یقینا می‌تونه برای خیلی ها تو فصل گرم سال جذابیتی خاص با رایحه ای نو داشته باشه عملکرد رایحه تو سالینا تقریبا خطی طی میشه ساعت اول و ساعت ششم بعد از مصرف این عطر تفاوت خاصی نداره . پرفورمنس سالینا تقریبا عالیه . پخش بوی زیاد و موندگاری بالا که تا 12 ساعت بعد از اسپری روی پوست به راحتی احساس میشه .

What a masterpiece. Salt, marine notes, wet sand. They could easily carry me to the rocks, wet by strong waves, just by the manipulative power of the perfume’s name, but more than once, while wearing it, someone asked if I’d just come back from the beach. Salina did take me to summer days, but the chilly kind. It smells like the beach towel that’s been drying every night for days and can practically stand up on its own from all the salt - and at the same time, like the violent foam of a wave that shoots up your nose and clears everything out, leaving behind a smell that might just be that of health itself. The projection and staying power are incredible. The times people asked me what it was that made me smell like the ocean, they were sitting quite far away from me. Two sprays will do for the day, which makes it great value for money. It is by far the most realistic ocean/beach scent I've tried. The smell of nature. When you "search by notes such" as marine/salty ones, this precious gem doesn't come out. I've discovered it yesterday, while looking for salty perfumes into all central London. Don't think Womanity, nor Eden Roc(The Dior should cry tears of blood at Salina's feet), or Bleu Turquoise- the sweetest one, imo. This gorgie is all about sea and seaside, when the air is salty but not too humid, like in the summer time. This is a sunny day surrounded by seagulls and waves! I love salty perfumes! They really have the summer vibe! That kind of summer that I love! No coconut, no sun cream, no sweetness. Just salty air. Fresh salty air. Although the drydown could appear a bit sweet ’cause we can see tonka and vanilla, actually turns a bit more into the musky side. Still fresh and clean. It doesn't remind me of Sailing Day MM either. It is so so unique! Plus the fact that I don't get herbs like in many of those salty perfumes out there. So good! Love it! 9/10 for its category. I hope this will never get discontinued.

This is compared review of Salina & Salaria. They are not dupes! Salina starts very rough. Salty, rough, almost smelling like parsley on My skin. It needs few hours to settle a bit, and then it becomes marine. But marine here is, like it’s name says, a small mediterranian village, with lots of fish-hunting boats that have specific smell. That’s salina, being bossy, loud and pushy, making you close your eyes and Experience early mornings by the saside where fishing boats are returning from night hint, loaded with fish. Salaria on the other hand is pure relax. You’re at the mediterranian, but your morning is no rush. It’s waiking up surrounded with loads of medditeranian plants, especially lavandel. Even mimosa (which is pretty selten smell) can be noticed. Calm. That’s Salaria. Smelling clean, perfect and leaving Trial of being all dressed up without making an effort to acheive it.

Sampled this hoping for something unique, as I love marine fragrances and am on a mission to try as many as I can. This is very, very obviously a clone / dupe / imitation of Acqua di Sale. This probably leans slightly more into the fougère facets, as the tonka-lavender accord is emphasized here, but on the whole this construction is extremely similar to Acqua di Sale. What a shame. It's a fantastic scent profile, but it's probably the most imitated marine profile out there. Just get the original. Hadn't got the sense that Laboratorio Olfattivo is a clone house, but now I'm wondering about their other fragrances.

Seasalt, caramel, soap, & tonka! I keep on sniffing sweet beach sands with seaweed mix! it's like a contradict mix for a while, till it turns into a sweet soapy blend with hints of seaweed and aquatic bits! I don't like the aquatic fragrances but this isn't aquatic as notes says, it BEGINS salty and aquatic with hints of salted caramel and tonka beans, but later it goes quite balanced with less salt, less sands, and less aquatic notes with more soapy texture. The colder it goes the soapier it gets and less sweet. Impressive for an aquatic fragrance.

Somehow combines the worst version of salinity with an off-putting baby powder. Stomach turning. The worst part is it's also powerful and difficult to remove. Not even kidding I threw away a shirt because of this fragrance. I would say it is the worst, most overwhelming fragrance I've tried, but the other two I sampled from the brand - Sacreste and Nerotic - were equally nauseating. This experience actually put me off all fragrances for more than a week, and I swear this horrendous juice was still in my nose.

I feel like I should try this perfume again in the interest of fairness. I tried it last year, after enjoying this line's Rosamunda and Cozumel and with admittedly no experience with acquatics, and I must admit it made me queasy to the point of nausea and I had to scrub it. Perhaps it wasn't the scent and that I had a touch of flu and didn't know it. only one other fragrance has had that effect on me. But the description sounds so enticing.

Very refreshing and salty. There’s something in there that’s weighing it down an and making it smell thick . It’s androgynous but still can’t imagine this on a woman, much better suited to a man. I tried this on skin next to tonkade and they went very well together, id imagine this would be a great fragrance to layer with. There’s something addicting in the dry down but I’d rather this as a room spray than a perfume.

If you like the smell of a murky salty ocean you might like this. The vanilla and musk soften this scent but whoa this perfume is not shy at all. My husband wears this sometimes and I'm not really a fan but I am blown away by the longevity and silliage. One spray can fill our whole apartment. I think this is not a work or crowd safe scent because it is so polarizing.

A marine-freshie that has a huge dose of lavender to temper it, somewhat... I've NEVER been a fan of these type of scents, NEVER, and whilst I doubt I ever will be, this one does not bother me too much. The lavender removes/softens the 'marine' elements, whilst also adding a 'mid/base' quality to it. Not my cup of tea, in any case, but this one wasn't too bad...

Salina is a unique fragrance that truly captures the essence of the sea. The salty and marine notes are prominent, but they're balanced beautifully by the freshness of lemon and pine needles. It's not overly sweet or floral, which I appreciate. The dry down is warm and inviting with hints of cedar and vanilla. Perfect for those who love fresh, clean scents.

This is not an acquatic-calone perfum of 90's or first 2000. Initially I can get fresh notes of lavender and pine It becomes quite sweet, clean, softened by vanilla and musc. Sea and salt notes are just a hint, not overpowered. It's well blended and crafted, very comfortable and I get a feeling of lovely baby powder Suitable for all seasons!
