Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Sparkling

This was unexpectedly lovely. I blind bought this for the notes but wasn't too sure about it as I was afraid it might be too cloying and sticky with the macaron and cotton candy notes but it's quite soft and the base notes balance out the sweet quite well. I can definitely detect the cashmere and patchouli with the cotton candy, macaron, and apple notes. I don't get much lily-in-the-valley but the other fruits are noticeable with the spices and it really makes this quite a unique gourmand scent to me, I don't own anything else like it and I have a lot of sweet fruity floral and gourmand perfumes. This is kind of an earthy sweet perfume with a touch of spice and I find it's a great fall scent thanks in part to those spices and the apple note, but could also certainly be worn in the spring and summer. I noticed the sillage was much better when I was inside with the heater on (as expected) but it was still quite noticeable even outside in the cold, and the cold seemed to bring out more of the sweet notes as I sprayed it first while I was outside and really didn't detect the other more earthy notes until I was inside, which may have been just due to the dry down of course but when I went outside again I picked up more of the sweet notes so I don't think it was coincidence. Really an unexpected beauty, I'll be wearing this one quite often I think.

I initially received a sample of this fragrance and liked it well enough to buy a big bottle. My only wish is that it came as a perfume instead of Eau De Toilette. I think it would be stronger longer. Not that I am complaining. I see a lot of people say it does not last long, but that has not been my experience. It seems to hang around close to the skin all night long and still be lingering in the morning if I spray it in the afternoon. As for the scent itself, it is very sweet, but not cloyingly so. I do not get a lot of the fruit, so that must dry down immediately before I smell myself. I also get almost no floral out of it. It is very sugary, but not in a bad way, it has sugar candy quality to it. That never really goes away, but kind of settles down to that sort of indefinable soft scent that usually is amber. The musk does not come through at all, which is quite unusual for me, but a little gift, since I am not a fan. I was surprised a scent like this smelled so good during the winter, I look forward to trying it in the spring and summer as well. As a side note, my teenage daughter tried it, too, and it smelled very powdery on her. She liked it, but had it smelled like that on me, I would never have purchased the big bottle.

I suck at describing notes in a beauty shop so I have been trying to find my signature scent for ages without finding one. I bumped into an old friend yesterday and she smelled absolutely gorgeous. I had to ask what perfume is that. She said she didn ́t remember the name but promised to send me a picture later. And the picture was this bottle. I went to a beauty shop and bought it right away. This perfume is exactly what I have been trying to describe for years! Beauticians have given me very good choises though. Last one was Narciso rodriguez: narciso poudree. I bought it and used it for a while until I started to feel it being too intense for my taste and smelling too much like flowers. I sold it to a friend. But THIS! Oh, I love this. It has just perfect amount of sweetness, softness, freshness and the love of my life: cashmere. The sillage is just perfect on me. I am sooo excited I finally found a scent like this.

I received this fragrance as a gift for Christmas in 2018 and I really adore the smell of it (I also got the roll on). Unfortunately the longevity is close to zero. I wish the smell was stronger because I love these sweet/gourmand notes, it’s very girly, fresh, it’s like the perfect fragrance for a teenage girl, even for preteens in my opinion. I’m 33 but I could really see myself wearing this perfume at 12 years old. But I’m still very sad about the longevity. Well, it’s an eau de toilette so it’s not supposed to be high on longevity, and also the fact that it’s called « eau de Lacoste » makes me think of some kind of mist.

As far as cotton candy (ethyl maltol) -focused perfumes go, this is definitely one of the highest quality ones I’ve tried. There’s no burning plastic, ugly musk, or weird sunblock notes to interfere with the sheer fluffy candy. The apples come in second strongest with a light dusting of cinnamon sugar and that’s about all there is to this. If you’re on a cotton candy quest, do yourself a favor and check this one out. I could see it working all year round to provide a nice sugar fix, and it delivers exactly what you expect. (Nothing more), nothing less.

I just recieved this perfume for christmas, it smells very good; i love gourmand scents, i can smell the cotton candy; but unfortunatly, this fragrance does not last long at all :( So I decided to blind buy Pink Sugar on Amazon, since apparently there's a ressemblance with this fragrance, so we'll see. EDIT: I recieved Pink Sugar, and on me, It's only the licorice and vanilla smell (and it doesn't last that long), so I'd rather wear Lacoste Sparlking since I prefer the smell and can detect the cotton candy, but too bad again that the longevity is 0 :(

Wow this one is sooo nice! It's sweet and girly and cute, perfect for the summer time. I can definitely smell the cotton candy and another really sweet note which are probably dem macarons. The sweetness of this perfume and that kind of overall "feel" reminds me of my "holy sweet trinity" - Fantasy, Pink Sugar and Mi Amore, however Pour Elle Sparkling has a tiny yet noticeable dash of spice in it, which IMO makes it a lil bit more interesting than all the other similar perfumes. Love the bottle too - simplicity at its best. Tl;dr: It's a YES from me!

Finally a cotton candy perfume that I can actually smell the cotton candy the most! I have been looking for a cotton candy perfume for years, and this is just perfect! I can smell the Cotton candy the most backed by the french macaroons, I can also smell a slight blackberry, apple, and patchouli. The patchouli is barely noticeable. I have a nose that can detect patchouli even if it's faint. I will be doing a full review of this perfume on youtube by the end of the week most likely by 02/20.

This was a blind buy based off the notes and admittedly I love the bottles and the price. I am so happy with it. It’s delicious. It’s pretty. It’s sweet and slightly spicy, fruity and fluffy. Great for an easy everyday wear I wish the longevity was better but I still get whiffs for at least 2-3 hour mark. And at the cheap price I’m happy to reapply. Update. I realised today this is a fruitier, lighter BDK Pas Ce Soir in the opening.

This one holds a true place in my heart. It is such a sweet little treasure with a burst of fruity freshness but remains so very sweet, delicate and feminine. Lacoste outdid themselves because the cute pink package, the girlish design, the carefully picked notes that compose this fragrance just screams feminity. I wish it did last longer because it surely out performs Ralph's Love perfume by a long shot.

New blindbuy! At first spray this reminds me of Fantasy by Britney Spears mixed with Tender Romance by Ralph Lauren :) it is sweet, but spicy at the same time. This is a very nice everyday perfume, easy to wear and for all seasons. It lasts about 6 h on my skin. One of my new favorites :) I love the cute crocodile on the bottle, too :)

It smells just as it has been described, sweet and quite light. It works well to layer it with other perfumes as the longevity isn't as promising. However, this fits well into the category of everyday wear and even fits well as a spring perfume. I think it is definitely worth a purchase and is definitely a safe blind buy.

if you love the gourmand sweet perfumes but you cant bare wearing them outside in hot climate weather as I am in Thailand. And you love to exercise in the gym. Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Sparkling is a good choice. It can keep you feel fresh while soothe you with the soft sweet aura.

Very good, fruity, sweet and sparkling gourmand. Over all, cheerful and young, happy mood scent. Somehow reminds me of a summer picnic with champagne and fruity candy or pastry. Very wearable fragrance, really suitable for my style.

I smell apple and a small candy like scent. Its nice, only wish it lasted a bit longer. Some people say it's similar to pink sugar, I had and didn't like pink sugar, so doesn't smell like PS IMO.

Sweet cotton candy spice. Currently in my work rotation and down to my last few sprays. Nothing complicated or sophisticated. Playful and happy.

I smell mostly contton candy, and macaroons. No fruits at all! However, not a bad thing! It's cozy and delicious. It is similar to 'Bonbon'

This has to be the most girly perfume I have in my collection. Surprisingly, it's quite lovely and addictive, as well. I see that this doesn't get a whole lot of love from people. It's not for everyone. It has to be appreciated by people who are either young or young at heart. (I'm the latter case.) It does smell like candy cotton and macarons, but it also has soft peppery spice added. Luckily, the spice is soft enough not to overpower the 'pink' elements of the perfume. If the soft peppery spice were any more pronounced, this would end up catastrophically. It is nice as it is, but still, I would prefer it not to have spices at all. Longevity is not great, nor is sillage. It's likely that only the sprayer is the person who's going to be able to smell it. Still, I like it. Against all odds, I like it. It was a successful blind buy for me. I know I have stated this perfume smelt girly. However, it doesn't necessarily make the wearer feel girly or appear girly to others, per se. As paradoxical as that may sound, this perfume makes the wearer feel nostalgic and brings back childhood memories, e.g., sitting with friends in kindergarten and have that round table party of unlimited sweets; scents of sweet and lovely things lingering in the air as a kind adult brings in newly baked macarons.... You get the idea. All in all, recommended for those under 20 or are young at heart... or those who love sweet and fluffy stuff!

Bought this on a whim this past weekend, mostly to take advantage of points at Shoppers in Canada. It’s sparkly, fluffy, fruity, fresh, cotton candy whimsy in a bottle! Very well suited to the heat of summer, because while it’s indeed sweet, it’s also fresh and sparkly, almost effervescent in body. I must agree with others in that it literally has zero projection and yes, poor longevity. I would say this fragrance is more akin to a body splash in strength, although there is no cheap smell here. While it may be light, it smells of quality, and if you don’t mind reapplying during the day, the reasonable price tag might make it worthy of checking out. (Or maybe you’re like me, and like to change your scent later on in the day - this juice is perfect for that). While I’m not overly excited about this fragrance, I like that it’s light and very versatile. Will keep in my collection for days when I want to wear perfume but am unsure of what to pick, or if I want to feel put together with minimal effort. Excellent choic for the office, gym and other closed spaces.

This sweet gourmand perfume opens with a bright berry note with a hint of peppery spices, but I cannot detect any apple. This dries down quite quickly to a very sweet, albeit pleasant caramel-candyfloss scent that quickly becomes one-note vanilla on my skin. The name is a misnomer, it does not "sparkle" at all in my opinion, instead is smooth and creamy in texture. The sillage is intimate and longevity is weak-to-moderate; I found it to be almost undetectable after three hours. This would suit a young audience, being very sweet and feminine. Although it is nothing groundbreaking, this is better than a lot of the commercial sweet scents on the market at the moment. It surely will fit in well with Lacoste's inoffensive crowd-pleasers. I am not a big fan of sweet fragrances in general, but this is a very wearable, non-risky gourmand, albeit nothing special. 3/5.

This one is cheerful and bright, something to wear at home when you want to initiate "happy bubbly mode". Why at home? Because it doesn't last whatsoever. I can spray on 10 sprays of this, including on clothes, and in 30 minutes there's no trace of it. It's like a body mist that you put on just to feel the initial blast of fragrance, but it's not a long-term commitment. As for the scent itself, I definitely feel the spices, something like black pepper. I can see what some commentators mean by saying that this is masculine. But at the same time it's extremely sweet and girly, like something from the more juvenile side of the Ariana Grande line. The cotton candy and macarons are definitely very strong here, and I also feel the citrus in the background. I would say this is 70% feminine and 30% masculine.

Red apple is very strawberry-like, both fruits sharing IRL a similar pleasing, tangy top note. That's a particularity I also found in Nobile 1942 La Danza delle Libellule. However, where are the candyfloss and French macaron? It's sweet, almost cloying, but I can't associate that sugary aspect with any specific confectionery. Fortunately, blackberry provides a kind of fruity freshness. Combined with that acidulous apple/strawberry, it makes the frag "cute, cheerful and playful", dixit Lacoste marketing blurb. I'm glad it was on sales when I blind bought it. Never would I pay full price for such a simple fruity sweet, borderline teenage scent (nothing wrong with that!).

If there is pepper in this it’s black pepper with mixed spices. My #1 most hated note in perfume is pink pepper. So thank goodness there is none of that! I find that Lily of the Valley gives fragrances a clean vibe and even sometimes masculine. It is not masculine at all in this fragrance but clean. Lily of the valley is not really noticeable but it is blended to make this a gourmand that isn’t too sweet and you can wear in the summer. It’s mostly macaroon and cotton Candy. I get decent longevity around 4 hours although it sits close to the skin. A perfect fragrance if you work in a field that you are not supposed to wear fragrance because can get away with this.

I was intrigued by the notes in this and blind bought it - I am very pleasantly surprised! I was worried it would be too sweet based on the macaroon and cotton candy notes, but on me I mostly get peppery spices, some ambery musk and some deep fruitiness! It smells like a warm cup of peppery spiced fruit tea, without becoming cloying. Not sparkling, but creamy. Edit - I have worn this for about a week now and I LOVE it! On me it lasts for hours and hours, I get a whiff of myself every now and then and it just makes me smile. Have also gotten several compliments on it!

I don't have a very "trained" nose, but I'm surprised that the notes don't mention vanilla at all! I guess that's what the cotton candy is. It is quite nice though, sweet and feminine, and I feel the color pink suites this scent just perfectly. It's light and sparkly and sweet and a bit musky and floral at the same time. Lovely surprise with this one! It does not seem overly long lasting on my skin. Reminds me a lot of Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy Poor longevity for me.

Sweet perfumes... Don't like them, don't have them, don't try them. But... This one came as a gift sample... So... The opening is very pretty, but simple. It's not unique, predictable. But the drydown... Oh my, it blew me away! The pacified sweetness with those spices that start blooming after awhile... They are perfect! I love spicy perfumes and this one reminds me of YSL Elle, but even milder, deeper. You never know, I guess. So glad I bumped into that one.

Contrary to many of the other reviewers I do find this quite sparkling! The opening, that is. I am very dissapointed in this perfume to be honest. The scent is lovely and has exactly the vibe I was hoping for (blind buy), but the sillage and longevity is probably the worst I've encountered. Maybe this works better for others. I'd love it if it was a bit more potent, the Dry-down is yummy but barely there at all

I sprayed this on in the store before I continued shopping so I could get a longer feel for the fragrance. It is a very pleasant sweet, powdery & comforting fragrance. Cotton candy, macaroon & apple are the most dominant notes. However, I ended up not buying it because it was way too faint and did not last well on my skin. If you are into lighter & inoffensive fragrances you will love this one!

This one is really nice, it is sweet but not sickening, very good for spring and summer. When you first spray it you get a very sweet mandarin orange, later the apple and the cotton candy dominate but it stays fresh. If i had to describe it in images i would say it is a young lady, waiting her turn to buy cotton candy on the beach. Sillage is good and longevity too. i give it a 7/10.

This smells so good. Not as sweet as I thought it would be with the cotton candy and macarons listed. The musk and the other base notes balance it out. Fresh, sweet and cozy at the same time. It’s a perfect spring and summer scent in my opinion, and I will re-purchase this one, even though the sillage is quite intimate. It lasts long on me (about 8-9 h).

It smells great, but I can barely smell it :( ! I need to spray it like 7 times in order to actually pick up the scent. The bottle is stunning but the fragrance is kinda mid. Its veeeeery sweet, kinda nostalgic ngl and I liked it, but I wouldn't wear it because it barely smells plus there is NO sillage.

A very pleasant and beautiful gourmand fragrance, if I want to cheer myself up, I use this fragrance. Reminds me of Flowerbomb, just not as heavy. I also hear masculine notes in this perfume, maybe it's patchouli. The longevity of this fragrance is about 5 hours on me.

aaaaa this was one of my first signature scents, along with britney spears, circa 2014-2016 when i was about 13-15. what a time. young, sweet, flirty lana and marina coded scent iykyk <333 summer in eastern europe also unexplainably smells like this.

Es bastante rico. Principalmente destaco mucho el algodón de azúcar con la madera y especias, pero no siento las notas de manzana roja quizás algo leve la de mandarina. En mi no dura más de 3 hrs

Very light, inoffensive, slightly sweet fragrance. Good choice for summer for sure, but I think it's nothing special, just another nice scent.

Fluffy saccharine pinkness with notes of apple. Does what it says on the tin. Very pleasant.

Addicting fresh youthful girly fruity scent ideal for daily use. Does not last much though.

Cotton candy with musk and an undefined berry note. I get some citrus in the opening, more lemon than mandarin, and the apple finally shows up in the drydown. This is a nice & simple scent that is a step upwards from a cotton candy bodyspray. It's sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, at least not for a gourmand lover, because it has a clean and creamy musk base. It smells somewhat artificial, but cotton candy isn't supposed to be natural anyways. I find this scent sort of childish, as in playful and innocent, not as in 'grown women are not allowed to wear this'. Wear what makes you happy. To me this doesn't quite hit the mark, it's not as sparkling as the name suggests, to my nose it has more of a dense texture. I also don't understand the macaron note, macarons are made of almonds and I get nothing like that from this scent.

I remember looking at the notes list before trying this, thinking “there’s no way spices mixed with cotton candy and macaron can smell good.” And then I thought “don’t be so closed-minded! The spices can be in here to elevate the sugary sweetness!” Yeahhh....I was right the first time. This smells *weird.* On my skin, the pepper is the most prominent note and overpowers everything else- I cant detect any individual notes beyond a mild fruity sweetness. This is the 3rd macaron perfume I’ve tried recently (following “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande and “Sweet Delicious Pink Macaron” by DKNY) and I’ve decided that macaron as a fragrance note does NOT work. These perfumes don’t register as rich, delectable gourmands but rather old pink sugar water.

Blind bought this on FragranceNet for a deal. The spices listed as a top note seem to be some kind of pepper. To me, the fragrance doesn't smell distinguishably spicy per se, but when I spray it on me, I cough as the pepper makes my throat tingle and burn. I do get the cotton candy and macaron, and during that phase, it kind of reminds me of Aquolina Pink Sugar or Truly Unicorn Fruit. But the longevity and projection are absolutely abysmal. Pink Sugar and Unicorn Fruit don't make me cough and have much better longevity, so I think I'll be rehoming this. Got a sample of this and it's not for me. The initial blast felt quite synthetic though this may be just the smell of candy floss. This synthetic note remained even when the woody notes appeared at the dry down stage. Overall, I found this to be fairly generic and overwhelmingly synthetic on me. It also had a very limited projection - close to the skin after an hour. At the end it just reminded me those Disney characters perfumes for kids. Definitely not for my skin type.

Tbh. Not my vibe😭 it’s just too masculine to me. And doesn’t last long. The spices sit funny with my body chemistry and I get an iffy scent from it. Unfortunately... If you came looking for a candy floss fragrance, this isn’t your top pick. Unless you really like spicy strange sweet 😭 . From the notes it seems to be something I would enjoy but perhaps it’s just not girly enough for me... cute little simple bottle. But will have to sell on or swap.

I just made a conclusion that the green one from this line was the best. (Natural) This one is okay, but nothing special. Sweet, fruity, almost a gourmand. A little too light for entirely to be gourmand. I don't like that it has a cheap smelling tone to it, it's like something that Adidas would do. I know it's supposed to be sporty, as Lacoste usually is, but sporty can be classy as well.

Very sweet and fluffy. It smells like a good quality perfume at the beginning, but it lasts less than any other edt or edp I've ever had. That is why I can't recommend this.

ZERO and I mean absolutely ZERO longevity... not worth the money :(

After testing it on skin and on test strip I can say that this does not smell like Cotton Candy. It smells like sugar cane. I purchased this as a layering piece to get a cotton candy pop from my cologne because I'm a man, and came to a conclusion that it can be used on its own in summer time. Yes, it's feminine, but YSL L'Homme EDP is much sweater than this, and Mugler fragrances are sweater than that so if you keep an open mind this can be unisex. Personally, on my skin, I get a Caribbean vibe like Tommy Bajama scents. Scent - Melted Skittles left in a car on a hot day (Because the car's Air freshener will be mixing with that sugar smell) Projection - 2/10 Longevity - 4/10(hrs) I got the set that came with the shower gel and used an unscented body lotion after a shower to make the scent last longer but it won't last more than 4 hours and projects for about a half an hour.

Tested this at Khols over the weekend. I like it, but its very similar to Kenneth Cole White and Tommy Bahama For Her (Pink Bottle with the Pearl) so it would be redundant for my collection unless I could find it at a rock bottom price, and right now its much pricier than the other two I already own. If you look at the note profiles its obvious why they all smell similar, and I couldn't tell you which one is the best as I never did side by side comparisons. With that being said its a fresh take on what could be a heavier, sweeter smell. Fruity top, light white floral mixed with almond sweet nuance heart, musky sweet base. I wore white a lot before I noticed anyone else into it, and now its all over the place and a body spray. So I figure a lot of other ladies must like this sort of scent for the summer as well. I highly recommend for warm weather and activity outdoors.

Well......after sniffing all the celebrity scents that were new on the scene and then moving up the ladder to the designer ones this one (Sparkling) from Lacoste was the only one that caught my nose and said "Hey!! I'm a bit different" I really like it. It's not overly flowery but has something that keeps you coming back for more. Fruity in a good way but then gentle wafts of spice and other things nice come out to play. It's a bit addictive. Love the bottle. This smell says clean, confident, pretty, delicious with a sprinkle of naughtiness. You can't go wrong with that can you. Note ; Had to sell this on as there was an after smell that I just couldn't get on with.
