Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Rouge Energetic

Rouge. In my top 10 for sure, maybe my top 5. I know, a Lacoste in a top 5/10?? Yes, I really do think it's that good. This one is a masterpiece in my opinion. Perfect blend of several categories. It's so fresh and energetic, with the perfect type of spiciness (I however disagree with the "warm spicy" description up top in the "main accords") and the perfect hint of sweetness.. With as many fragrances that I like and LOVE, this one is just so damned superior to most out there. It's one that's hard to fit into one category, and one that does well in any season, time of day and occasion, without it being a "dumb reach".. it's too good and classy and damn fantastic to be called dumb in any sense of the word. It's one that I can just smell over and over all day, just for the satisfaction of smelling it, and am glad that it is under the radar for whatever reason, as it can be one that stays out of the common and over-worn and boring categories. If you want, I can keep it all to myself. Muah!

I absolutely love this scent! The mango and rooibos come out delightfully on my skin, the mango really strong at first but settling down nicely into that rooibos. After that I'd say the pepper and spices come along and give it this nice warmth, with the tea just sitting quietly in the distance. It's sporty, warm and comforting. Not too in your face. Reminds me of a cologne i got years ago that went out of stock but a more upmarket version. 100% what I wanted and I look forward to trying more lacoste fragrances in the future.

Wow ! How is this not at least a 4.00 on here. This stuff is amazing. Unique mango smokey, masculine Cologne. Fit for any occasion. Hot weather or cold weather approved. Glad I can get this before it sold out at my retailer, I love the scent. I think overspray is not a bad thing with this one. 9/10.

I dont know how anyone can rate this as weak or moderate. On my skin this lasts about 7 hours and I have had this bottle for over 5 years. Not bad for the £30 I paid for this. The first ever fragrance I bought and I will likely repurchase when I run out.

I personally find this too fruity to wear at night or on a date. Otherwise, would be the perfect causual wear for a spring day. This kinda falls in line with its average projection and longevity. It is sweet but there's some airiness to it as well, so the sweetness is not really overbearing. It's overall nice if you're in you're 20s and/or have a small selection of perfumes. The drydown reminded me of the age old Paris Hilton for Men, which ironically is available on sale at Ross these daye!

This, to me, smells like a very refined, non-obnoxious version of Versace Blue Jeans. It's perfectly blended. However the major detractor here is unfortunately the performance. Very weak sillage and projection. It would be perfect if they could boost the performance without making it too cloying. Good to wear year round.

Below average performance but with a unique scent profile for a designer fragrance, which is common for Lacoste. Picked up at a discounted price. Highly recommend this fragrance if you are comfortable with decanting and reapplying every 2 or 3 hours. If not then skip this one solely based on the performance

Tea with a hint of Mango. Performance is poor but the scent is extremely impressive. It's fresh and sweet with a hint of spice. Beautifully different, and perfect for a date during a warm summer night. Unfortunately it will require re-application after a few hours.

Starts strong with that mango but simmers down to let the rooibos take the spotlight after a bit. Don’t expect the smell to last more than a 2-3 hours, though.

Nice if you don't want to smell like all those bubble gum trendy scents. Sadly it performs weak.

This one was one of my very first fragrances ive ever owned and i guess thats what sparked the fact that i started collecting a lot more. Since it was my first one i bought this one like if it was a blind buy no reviews or test. I personally think it smells alright and decent for it price point i really wouldnt recomend it to anyone. Longevity is pretty good last like about 4 hours for me. and for sillage it just not that really good so wouldnt recomend it at all.

Fruitier less woodsy Polo Black with much less duration and weaker performance. Instead of woody notes, it wears down to a tea like note for me. Bought it cheap for $28, but considering I like Polo black better, and for $45 Id rather just go with Polo. 5.5/10

This is dogshit. Plain and simple, none of the notes on here match what I've got, just smells likes "spicy", more than likely the black pepper, I just sprayed it on my wrist and the scent is already almost gone, it was my first fragrance, but that's not giving it much credit, bottle design is mediocre and smells purely of just spice, Lacoste should fuck off and just make shirts or something. Moreover, after a while of not using it, the atomizer randomly became a spray bottle. Shitty atomizer, Shitty scent, Shitty everything, do not buy.

Yeah what else i expected from Lacoste. Horrible and fragrance i can't tolerate.Default shower jell with huge note that i can't define, which makes that fragrance from mid to absolute garbage

I've had a couple of other Lacoste fragrances and gave them away. But Rouge Energetic, is surprisingly good and quite a unique scent. I'm not suggesting this is groundbreaking parfumerie, but this is fantastic value for money. The mango and rooibos tea middle notes really are the stars of this show and the overall blend makes for a very versatile fragrance that can be worn pretty much anytime or any season. Your mileage may vary with performance, I find it better than most say. And c'mon people, spray liberally and enjoy it for a few hours. It's a nice ride for however long it lasts and the price of admission is well worth it. Bottom line, this is underrated juice.
