Lacoste Pour Homme L.12.12. Magnetic I can honestly say that it took me some time to wrap my head around this fragrance. This has become one of my favorite freshie fragrances. Out of the four fragrances i recently purchased in a small haul (Lacoste Pour Homme L.12.12. Magnetic, Mustang Blue, Lacoste Pour Homme L.12.12. Panache, and Boss Bottled Unlimited) Magnetic For sure was tie for my favorite out of this haul along side with Mustang Blue. I must say that my favorite note seems to be Bamboo which is one of the reasons I took the risk on this fragrance, so if you like Bamboo I would recommend you try this one out. When I first smelled this I was somewhat not impressed. Not that I didn't like it, just it smelled simlair to Izod by Izod which I have as well and I really like that fragrance but i didn't want to be adding something just like that and wanted something new. I am so glad that I didn't think to myself to maybe get rid of this one or maybe just never give it a second chance. One day in the morning I was getting ready for work and decided that i'll go ahead and give it a full days wear before I would make my final decision on how I feel about this one and boy am I glad I did that. I must say that this is the first frag I have ever had with tea notes and i don't think I have many with violet notes so I definitely think those two play a big part in this fragrance. Ok now I must explain how my mind was changed about this frag. As I was at work this fragrance began to start changing in the dry down to something amazing that I really enjoy. This one will have you smelling your clothes and wrist multiple times through the day. They did a great job with the bottle presentation. That blue fading to a darker blue is exactly what this fragrance does. It has both a youthful and a mature vibe to it which I really like so its good for most ages I would think (17-40ish). This Is a blue frag that is pretending to be greenish if that makes sense and I think that tea note has a lot to do with that lol. The best way I can describe this is like a modern day cowboy/farmer and for some reason thats what I keep imagining lol. I travel a lot for work and I was in Gilroy California this past week so maybe that country side of the Bay Area was getting to me lol, and considering the Bay is such a modern lifestyle vibe, thats what I see fit as far as discrptions go. If you are someone much like myself who love blue fragrances, I would defiently recommend this one. This is an amazing blue fragrance that is different from your usual blues on the market currently. Very fresh and very clean and soapy shower gel type of fragrance. Sillage: 8/10 Projection: 7.5/10 Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 7/10

I see lots of people are unhappy with this fragrance. But here in India it's hot most of the year. So we need this type of clean and fresh scent. And i would go and call this a hidden gem. That is with my 50 plus designers scent that i own. It's really fresh. I have few of lacoste and they certainly don't last long being a fresh summer scent. But it's pleasant and super fresh. Reminds me of lacoste challenge which is discontinuedi get now. But this one is a bit sharper than challenge. I get lots of citrus and bergamot in opening which isn't mentioned here. And this this is a great value considering its always on sale. Got my 175 ml at 35 USD.

I remember I first smelled this in a scratch and sniff sample in a Lacoste catalogue and I fell in love with it. I finally bought it years later and it’s one of my favourites for that reason. Used to wear a lot of Lacoste fragrance in the past and this one has a nostalgic significance to me. Overall what you’d expect to get from this family of fragrances. Fresh, aromatic, youthful, sporty and masculine. Always test if you’re unsure but in my opinion (and with the benefit of hindsight) it’s blind buy worthy.

I just check this one out today at the mall, and is a must if u enjoy the L.12.12 line, the violet in this one along with the Bamboo make this a beuatifull mistic sexy scent, proper for night use all seasons but i think if u want to use this one durin the day make sure its rainy cold outside coz imo this is not a scent made to react in the sun, i think Lacoste went for their first night scent in this one,very classy and very sexy, my girl just love it.

fresh and safe. great for those who aren't asking for more. yes, it's quite average, but that doesn't make it less pleasant, I'd say it actually has some character, it's powdery yet so fresh, and really nice especially the dry down of it. truly inoffensive, I used to wear it at uni and everyone would comment on how nice I smelled.

I like it. I sprayed it on my hand in the duty-free shop at the airport in DR around 1 PM and still smelled it when I got home 7 hours later. I definitely get violet and patchouli; very pleasant scent. I may buy a bottle.

Feels alot fresher aquatic then listed on fragantica. Strange green notes I think of which is bamboo. Performance is mediocre aswell as the longevity. Still a great scent for those hot days.

Let's talk about the bottle first, because they got something right there. That deep violet-blue isn't just "sporty blue flanker #47" — it's actually the color of the flower inside the fragrance. Violet. And whoever made that call understood the material, because violet is exactly that: a dusty, quiet kind of strength. It doesn't shout. It stands there, powdered and composed. First spray, I'll be honest, I didn't recognize the house. It felt off-DNA — too afternoon-y, too dressed, not the open-window freshness I associate with Lacoste. I almost filed it under "nice but not them." Then about half an hour in, the thing clicks. The violet settles, the familiar clean freshness rises up underneath it, and they merge into something I can only describe as sporty calm. The freshness is still fully there — this is not a heavy fragrance — but the violet grooms it. Makes it more meticulous. More put-together. A little elitist, even, in the way a perfectly ironed polo can be elitist. On my skin it also leaves this white soap trail in the drydown. Not laundry, not shower gel — proper white soap, the expensive-looking plain kind. I kept catching it off my own collar and it never got boring. Is it a masterpiece? No, and I won't pretend it is. But it's unmistakably masculine and — I'm choosing this word deliberately — beautiful. Not handsome, not cool. Beautiful. And there aren't many masculine fragrances I'd say that about.

This was a weird fragrance to me when I originally smelt it. The Bamboo was the note that took me out of it for a while, but after a few more initial wears it grew on me. Lacoste Pour Homme Magnetic is a fragrance that grows on you - like a lot of people have already reviewed below me say that they didn't like it on their first attempts. This is a great blue fragrance that can be worn any time of day, any time of year. A safe bet with maximum versatility. The pricing for this fragrance is great as well, I had the 50ml for around £15. Go straight for the bigger ML bottles because it is worth the money and then some for this price. It isn't the most original scent you'll ever smell but it does get the job done for the price. Safe for blind buy? Sure. If you are starting out your collection then this one is a must have, but if you already have many fragrances then just avoid this one. Overall, a nice safe bet of a blind buy that will get you some compliments when you walk past people. Sillage: 6/10 Projection: 7/10 Scent: 8/10 Longevity:5/10 Price: 10/10 Overall: 8/10

If you can get it for a good price then this is fine; another clean, powdery, fresh aquatic. First sniff, if you can get past the violet, is something fresh. I've been trying not to look at the ingredients/notes so as not to prejudice my sniffing, but I had to give in and look. Bamboo. Then I remembered where I'd smelled this before, Montblanc Starwalker. There's a particular indescribable something to Starwalker that I only worked out after coming here and that's the freshness, the aquatic syntheticness of the bamboo. Anyway, you get a fleeting splash of the bamboo before the violet kicks in. For me this scent is all about the violet, there's not much else to it. As it dries down the violet stays and you start to get a faint, very very faint, powdery amber. And then it's gone. 4 sprays to the neck gave me about 3 to 4 hours with only moderate at best sillage. It's fresh, it's clean, it's powdery aquatic, it's mostly violet. And it has a stupidly long confusing name.

I have several fragrances from Lacoste's L.12.12. line and the others are all citrus forward summer freshies. This is the only one I've come across that doesn't have a citrus note in it...and I like it! The bamboo and tea notes combine for a more passive scent profile but this is still fresh and, IMO, more interesting then most of the flankers. Performance is weak, spray your clothes if you want to have a chance of enjoying this over the next few hours. This was a blind buy for me and a surprisingly good one!!!!!

Another new uninspiering realese from lacost, smells almost the same as the rest nothing special at all, just an ok beginner scent but nothing for those with higher expectations, if you dont own any from the collection the white and the yellow is the one you should go for.

It has an aquatic quality about it and I am surprised it does not contain notes of cucumber or lotus. It is peculiar and those not fond of aquatic notes will not find themselves in this fragrance. I find it pleasant and I like it but it is not a love in my books.

Aromatic - Fresh - Clean. There's also something missing. Lacoste L.12.12. Magnetic is lacking distinctive character. I find this offering to be rather boring and generic. It's not that Lacoste L.12.12. Magnetic smells off-putting or bad in any way... It's just rather uninspiring. Kind of meh. It also wears rather light with soft performance. I recently bought a sample decant; which I'm glad I did instead of a full bottle. There are some good things this fragrance offers. It is blended together nicely, with no single note standing out more than another. It works well for those who don't want to smell unique or complicated. A safe fragrance. It's an easy wear and versatile for sure. With all of the above being said, there are still much better offerings from Lacoste in the L.12.12 line, and from the house in general; many of which are a love for me. This Lacoste L.12.12. Magnetic just isn't one of them. Rating: 5.5/10

I prefer the original Blanc and have so many 'blue' fragrances that I rarely reach for this one, but it did survive the culling of my collection this spring. It's definitely not repulsive like so many cheapie blind buys that I've made. Nice to have around for a bit of variety in the spring and summer. If I had a son or nephew to gift this to it would make a good youngsters first fragrance. I will give it some more wears and report back.

This fragrance smells very synthetic, generic and have poor performance. The smell is very similar to Lacoste Pour Homme. I initially smelled this fragrance at the store I really like it so I decided to purchased online for a cheaper price. Once I received my bottle and try it on my skin and loved just as much as I did on the store. After a few days my taste for this fragrance changed, I really did not like it. This happens to me often as sometimes I don't like a fragrance initially but it later grows on me. I keep coming back to this fragrance and I tried today and is nothing special. I like it better now but still smells very synthetic to me. I also own Lacoste blanc, (which I think is the best of all Lacoste fragances) and I really like it and get complimented on how good it smell all the time. Magnetic is probably the worst one of the L12.12. UPDATE: I sample Dior Homme Eau for men today and it reminded me a lot to this fragrance. I think this is not a bad fragrance after all but it may not be my taste.

Pointless release by Lacoste. Wtf is this, seriously? It smells like nothing. Like some amateur perfumer was in the making of a fresh fragrance, but missed his deadline, and had to release his subpar work for his company, missing several of the ingredients he was about to put into it. Performance? A total joke. The scent trail is as soft as can be, hugging your skin in the entirety of its short life span. After one hour or so it's completely gone. An utter failure from Lacoste. 2/10. The only plus point is that it's inoffensive.

Tried this gross crap in a pharmacy today....agreed, smells like nothing...in three seconds, gone completely! Pass...

Wow this is actually really nice! Fresh, clean, fruity and a little sweet. Very calming and cozy. Beautiful fruity opening and a soft, comforting clean violet dry down. Love it. This is one of those scents I can smell all day. I'm a little surprised by the lack of reviews and negative comments on this one. Of all the Lacoste L.12.12 scents, this is my favorite (Blanc seems to be the favorite on here). The bottle is nice too, a frosted dark blue with an embroidered Lacoste alligator on it, very well done. Longevity is good, about 6-8 hours. My new signature scent, so happy I found this! EDIT: Ok, I'm going to have to retract my review. I based it on the testers at Kolh's (two different Kohl's by the way, both testers smelled identical, absolutely beautiful BTW, like my original review). When the bottle I ordered online arrived, it smelled NOTHING like the tester. You know what it smells like? Like Tommy Bahama Compass. I thought I received a bad batch, so I bought another small bottle of Magnetic at Kohl's and it smelled like the one I ordered online. Nothing at all like the testers. Luckily I was able to return both bottles. Very disappointed, I thought I had finally found a great scent. Buyer beware.

This was my first ever fragrance that startet my addiction. I was gifted that as a Christmas present by my mom last Christmas. I thought it was great but it just didn’t worked for winter. Now as it’s warmer i finally get to wear this and it works really well. It’s a fresh green scent, at start it’s youthful but in the drydown i kinda get grandpa vibes. Maybe from the bamboo. I very enjoy that there is no citrus in this fragrance. It’s inoffensive, but kinda unique. The projection isn’t too bad for a summer scent and it lasts 4-6 hours on my skin. Overall a very good scent and for the low price of this i would recommend it to teenagers. For me it’s a better alternative to nautical voyage

Very fresh and aquatic with a hint of citrus. I don't see a lot of men wearing this, so this is a hidden gem for those who wants something that's not been played out too much. I can totally see this perfume as unisex (I am a woman and I sometimes use this). Would recommend for daily use. Decent longevity.

It smells aquatic and fresh. this screams "basic" , but it can definitely work as a casual fragrance in the heat, especially since it's affordable. personally, I wouldn't purchase it.

This is a classic businessman scent, teenager and younger men shouldn’t wear this. I recommend the ages 30-35+. I get about 6-7 hours with it, and about 1 hour projection (2 feet)

A body wash aquatic scent you are probably familiar with that does the fundamental job of making you smell pleasant and fresh. Sometimes simple works.
