Eau de Sport

OMG this is it. This was my dad's signature for as long as I've known him. He used to wear it all the time. I can attest to it's longevity. I still have his final bottle before he passed. It's empty now but from time to time I give that funky white sprayer a squeeze and I can still get a faint whiff and it takes me right back.

Update: Just recieved the vintage edt....OMG it smells SO good! Excactly as I remembered. An exceptionally well blended vibrant fragrance still with the classic '84 Lacoste scent, and if I'm not mistaken this is the original eau de Lacoste fragrance created by Jean Patou back in 1968. Gorgeous fragrance!

The last great fragrance from Lacoste. Period! A masculine, aromatic, woody and well done blend. Love it to bits.

It's difficult to apprehend that I'm the first one to write a review on a cologne that came out in the early 90s. I remember when I first used it. In 1997 a very close friend of mine presented me a bottle of this, he got two from a relative and ended up giving me one. I guess this was a first sport fragrance I ever owned and fell in love instantly. I may be forgiven for being only 19 at that time and not being able to write a minute details about the notes I experienced then. But what I recollect is that it had a citrusy opening mixed with freshness of mint and basil. I don't remember the middle notes but the later stage of middle note, it was a rich and exotic amalgamation of cedar, tonka and hint of lather with was enclosed by a smoky musky nuance. I remember how much I loved it. It finished after 6 months and never found it anywhere ever since. I don't know if it has been discontinued.

It is a long discontinued but supreme classic, a perfume which ties the fleeting freshness of petitgrain, verbena, bergamot and lemony citrus to a spicy heart of laurel, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, oldschool woods, slight powder and a touch of rockrose. ..even for today ..it has a Real WOW factor

A very nice blend, with just enough note separation. What you get here that you don't get with recent designer fragrances is a natural-smelling, rich, complex, and earthy, yet soft and rounded scent. It has a fresh aspect, with a touch of grassiness, as well as a distinct floral quality. The base is subtle yet excellent, with no one note overwhelming the others. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that it has the kind of muskiness that those used to only recent fragrances might not like. Another good quality is that it's strong and long-lasting, so you can use just one spray. UPDATE: On my second wearing, I seem to be getting a lot more sandalwood than on the first, probably just me, obviously. And it is sweet, though not cotton candy sweet.

I remember my first bottle of Eau du Sport Jean Patou, I was young and we were in the '70th, was wonderful, the satin finish glass, the Citric aroma that accompanied me throughout the day... Then Jean Patou disappeared from the bottle and also the scent was no longer the same, I was so fond of the old flavor that is not wanted to hear more. Years after i felt again on him to a boy, was a hot day of July, that smell on the warm skin was the most seductive and male had ever heard. I decided that the I'll want again at all costs. Now I have two more bottles buy on eBay and I fear the moment in which they will finish.

I bought a bottle from a great online site “henryperfumestore” and I gave It a full wear today. For a frag that might be 23 yrs old, it smells brand new. I had the original in the 80’s and this certainly reminds me of that, but this one just keeps going through the day, wafting around me 10 hours later, albeit subtly. I was quite surprised given the short lifespan of the original. Henry still has another.

I haven't tried this but I just know I would love this!
