L.12.12. Blanc Eau Intense

TL;DR: amazing summer scent that can be worn for any event (my official summer scent and gym scent). Moderate longevity and sillage. Has a nostalgic yet modern vibe. Overall 4.5/5 This scent in my humble opinion is one of the best releases of 2023. It is a shame that it does not get the hype or recognition it deserves, but that may actually be a good thing (more for us that like it). The opening of this fragrance has a great orange note that is not too citrusy but also not non-existent. I don’t catch the turmeric but I want to believe that the turmeric possibly helps with fragrance once it settles into the mid notes and dry down. The opening is amazing but if you ask me the middle notes and dry down is where this fragrance completely shifts. From you typical warm weather freshie to something that is mysteriously alluring. The cardamom does a great job of warming the fragrance and keeping it spicy. Along with the blend of lavender and clary sage, this fragrance takes an amazing masculine and musky turn. While still staying overall fresh. The dry down once again has a great blend of suede, vetiver, and sandalwood. The sandalwood stands out more so to my nose but once again it gives a mysteriously unique vibe that is addictive. I would say it has the same vibes as a Versace Dylan Blue....just not as powerful, replace the apple note with mandarin orange, take out the amboxan, and add a little more musk and spice. This a fragrance that I recommend for all ages. It’s modern and fresh enough to please the young crowd but has enough depth to stick around for the more mature. Overall this fragrance to me is a 4.5/5 I wish the opening lasted just a bit longer but nevertheless this a great versatile summer scent.

Lacoste L12.12 Blanc Eau Intense is a citrus, green, spicy and aromatic fragrance. The opening is citrus and green and quite energizing. I really liked those first few minutes. It gave me the impression of obtaining a scent similar to ginger, which when combined with citrus and green notes achieves an aroma that manages to captivate. During the first 20 minutes it reminded me a bit of Dior Homme Sport 2012, but I can't say they smell the same, but it does have that vibe. Later the aroma becomes slightly sweet, but maintaining the initial freshness, it also adds aromatic elements and woods, which bring it closer to the classic L12.12 Blanc and no longer has any more aromatic twists. This fragrance, being fresh and citrusy, is ideal for use during the day, and in warm weather, perfect for spring and summer, casual and/or informal outings. In terms of performance, the longevity with me was near to 7 hours, and the sillage was notorious during the first hour, going down to skin level later. So the name Intense doesn't do it justice. I liked the smell of the fragrance, but I will wait for the price to drop to buy it. I like it.

Just got this and put on a few sprays. This smells a lot more mature than its predecessor, so intense is a becoming title. The differences are vast enough that you wouldn't tell these are from the same line, though. There's a certain bitterness throughout that is very curious, is it the turmeric and the sage? I feel like this is giving Blanc Eau Intense a rather dark naughty edge, but not in a juvenile way, like your older sophisticated and a rather mysterious brother who always have women gathered around him. I believe this is a kind of scent that will make everyone around you curious about what you're wearing. Perfect for wear in spring, summer evenings or cool fall days. I'd find it a bit overpowering during sticky summer days, but that's yet to be seen!

L.12.12. Blanc Eau Intense by Lacoste is a smooth, fresh woody-spicy scent with a laid-back and clean personality. Opening with a crisp pop of mandarin and a soft touch of cardamom, it quickly settles into a breezy herbal heart of lavender, sage, and mugwort. The dry down leans creamy and slightly masculine with soft leather and sandalwood over a touch of vetiver. While both sillage and longevity are on the weaker side, that actually makes it a solid choice for scorching days — like today’s 98°F heat in Maryland. It won’t overpower you or those around you, but still keeps you feeling fresh and pulled-together. Not groundbreaking, but easy to wear, very affordable under $40, and definitely has its place in a summer rotation.

As someone who has over 150 niche fragrances, I love it when a cheap designer fragrances humbles you with its absolutely amazing scent! This stuff smells far more expensive than its price tag. Fresh, but sophisticated! Doesn’t smell synthetic like a lot of cheapies. If this had a Dior logo it would be talked about more. Some regard this as being one of the best releases of 2023, and I have to agree. Sadly however this fragrance is let down by pretty terrible performance, so you’re going to have to overspray or maybe carry a small decant with you... neither of which I am against; this is a inoffensive scent profile so overspray all you like! And given its price point you don’t mind being aggressive with the trigger.

This smells like a niche aromatic. Reminds me of Wall St by Bond No 9 initially, minus the strong cucumber note I get from that. I regret now I only purchased a 50ml because you're going to have to go heavier on the trigger. Fresh with just a little bit of warm spice to make it interesting and gives it depth and an alluring woody vibe that makes you want to get that addictive second and third sniff. Pleasant and likeable. Won't offend and can be worn in the office. Wouldn't call this a rip off if it was double retail price.

I really went ham gobbling up these Lacostes recently. It opens with mandarin orange and turmeric, which will throw you off if you aren't expecting in; a month ago on paper before allowing it to settle all I got was turmeric. Now there's a bit more citrus, but turmeric acts as a bridge in the open through the heart where it is joined by aromatic lavender, sage, and cardamom. In the base I get a clean leather, vetiver and sandalwood, giving me the vibe of sitting on a wooden bench at a grass tennis court.

Love the fresh orange and spicy cardamom opening. lavender woods and sage throughout the scent as it dries it gets rounded out by the light leather note. Banger for what you can get this for. Projects ok but not super loud which I appreciate. Lasts long enough for what I need it for which is gym or work or just hanging around. I don't need all my fragrances to be beast mode or last 12 hours. Nice reach if you just wanna smell good but be low-key about it.

Blind bought this based on the reviews and totally scored. From the opening to drydown, it smells sophisticated, modern and very versatile. Opening is citrusy and fresh with green facets. Then it shifts gear during the dry down where it becomes creamy and smoother. Nothing overly juvenile but rather wearable by anyone. Spring, summer and I'd say even for fall. NICELY DONE!!

Best blind buy I did in my life. I loved every note of it when I gave it a smell. It is insanely good for it's cheap price, it is a freshy woody smell with a beautiful balance. It is amazing for someone who wants to smell different at summer in affordable prices. It is not a dupe, not a fancy expensive parfume either. An affordable designer cologne which smells awesome.

Blind buy to replace L.12.12 White when I was out. This is good, the orange and turmeric start nicely then seem to fade away quite quickly. The dry down reminds me a bit of CH Man, with a much less leather and no vanilla but some how still similar. Easy reach type of fragrance but I must admit I do prefer the L12.12 White.

Wow. What a fragrance. It figures, of course. As has been said already, incredibly good scent that is handicapped by poor performance. I'm super happy with it regardless, since the price point makes it an easy overspray/reapply without any financial remorse. This stuff is just great.

Incredibly enjoyable fragrance. I haven't tried Dior Homme Sport 2018, but this definitely reminds me of the original Sport. I wish the projection was better, but a very smooth, refined, luxurious fragrance at a very good price point. 9/10

This is a very nice easy to wear fragrance. It makes me smell so good the whole day. Very aromatic and great quality for the price. Long lasting with enough power for daily use, and just functions very well indeed. I fell in love.

A blend of Bleu de Chanel, Dior Homme Sport, and a hint of Dior Sauvage Elixir, all presented with Lacoste’s unique touch. The perfect fragrance for any occasion, and likely my new signature scent, all for just $40.

For me a fresh invigorating experience that is in the same vibe as bleu de chanel edp but unfortunately without sillage and lasting power . Ok for the price point. Just wish it lasted longer.

I’m usually into gourmand stuff but this has to be the best fresh sporty type fragrance I’ve ever tried. Super clean refreshing scent. Definitely buying a full bottle.

I’ve gotten compliments from men and women on a night out with drinks. After the first 2-3 hours they could smell it behind me on a cool night said by those who complimented me. The unique Tumeric and Orange combo is really nice and addicting with a nice woody base. A day scent no doubt dumb reach warm weather stuff. But longevity is mediocre, maybe 4-5 hours before completely gone at least on me. Never the less I couldn’t get rid of it, it’s great smelling. Compared to the L1212 Blanc OG which was just way too floral for me. Couldn’t keep that one. Lacoste is just not know for longevity but I’ll keep this one. Can find it $40-$50 on eBay. Not a must have but defiantly unique for a designer with the Tumeric and and Orange.

Like everything in the Lacoste menswear line, L.12.12.Blanc Eau Intense has a wonderful accord of all those pleasant, comfortable, and clean impressions that we associate with Lacoste, the clothing brand. However, like everything else in the Lacoste menswear line, the depth is weak. The lavender fills the space vacated quickly by those oranges, then dissipates just as fast. The faint sweetness of sandalwood is what's left to remind me that this could have been a truly differentiated L.12.12. For a perfume called intense, this one's underwhelming. Anything with lavender must never be called "intense."

Some reviewers mentioned similarities to Green Irish Tweed in the opening, and I can definitely see that. To my nose, the dry down also carries hints of Silver Mountain Water. This was a blind buy, and thankfully a successful one. Clean, gentlemanly, and fresh, it has quickly earned a spot alongside Polo Blue Parfum, Le Sel d’Issey, Prada Luna Rossa Carbon, and YSL Y EDP as one of my favorite daily drivers. Performance isn’t beastly, but more than an hour in, I’m still catching beautiful wafts of it. Easy to wear, uplifting, and classy. Lacoste, please give us a strong projecting 200ml bottle.

This didn't live up to the hype for me. The opening is terrific with an invigorating orange note balanced out by cardamom (not a note I normally like, but it's well done here), but the rest of the fragrance is quite underwhelming. As many other reviewers have said, the longevity of this fragrance is terrible and definitely not what I'd expected from an "intense" flanker; I'd even say the original Blanc performs better than this one. It smells good and would definitely be a good gym or "sport" fragrance like most from Lacoste, but I'm certainly not going out of my way to buy a full bottle.

Trying out fragrances in the Heathrow duty free, this is the one I went on skin. Had to go back to the shop to buy it because I couldn’t stop smelling my arm. 9hr flight and when we got to Denver and stood up to leave, two ladies in seats two rows away made a comment to me that they finally found who they were smelling the whole flight. Was relatively a skin scent to me by that time, but I jokingly said “Wow you can still smell it in the air”, and humbled me by responding “Yea, we found you, didn’t we?” Nuff said

I'm torn on whether to buy this or not and have been for over a year. The opening is wonderful... citrusy, spicy, with woody notes. I really like it. I've sampled it 3 times now at my local pharmacy... and I'm always tempted to buy it because of that beautiful opening. Why I'm still undecided?... the dry-down. It's nice and clean but underwhelming. After about 1.5 hours on my skin, I can barely smell it. This is 4711 level performance at 10X the price. I may pick this up if the prices get down to about $30.

As a woman, I think this is a solid fragrance for a man. It nicely balances cool citrus with a warmer and spicy base. It basically smells like a spicy L.12.12 Blanc. In my opinion, the original Blanc is perfect for hot weather, while I see this more for cooler summer or warmer fall days because the spices can get a bit overwhelming in hot weather. I think that fans of the original Blanc EdT might also like this one.

Just got it & first impressions of the opening sharp orange green almost too basic like classic men’s green cologne but after it settles it gets a lot better. The sweetness of cardamom & sandalwood come out more but idk if I get any leather.

Starts out like green irish tweed, then dries down more la nuit de l'homme. Honestly just a nice fragrance I do like it. Its not a love just a like. Performance maybe 2-3 hours if lucky.

Beautiful orange-based, sporty scent. A must for those of you that love orange in your fragrances. Perfect scent for the weekend warrior or for casual use on warm days.

Smells great. I think I'll use it as my signature scent. Nothing too shabby, just something that I'll use in the day. I like it when it tapers off.

I do like it. Uplifting scent. Fresh, but it has depth as well. Great for spring and also for summer. Safe and pleasing scent.

Unlike L.12.12 EDT, this is not to be smelled and enjoyed with too much proximity. I have a sensitivity towards citric fragrances, and this one packed a citric-spicy punch. Sprayed on clothes and smelled from a normal 1-2 feet...wow... really nice and classy as Lacoste fragrances tend to be. Poor longevity and projection though.

Clean lavender laundry vibe in the opening. It has a really nice sandalwood/leather dry down, with virtually no projection. Only 4-5 hours longevity on my skin. Really nice but passable. 4.5 out of 10 for me

A regret blind buy for my. The Mandarin and turmeric give it a nice opening. The warmth of the cardamom i dont get. Quickly bored from this one. Its better than Blanc eau Fraîche from last year.

I bought this last summer, will try to explain the fragrance in 1 sentence: It starts promising, very aromatic and radiate for 30 min, then become skin scent and so boring, like aftershave.

This is a blind buy that did not work out for me. This scent profile is middling in my opinion, an uncomfortable center point between fresh and dank. Exposure gives me a headache, and the synthetic nature does not help this one. Unfortunate but I would pass or test first before a purchase.

editing my original review to say that this is a very, very enjoyable & easy to wear designer release. probably the best 'synthetic' orange accord i've encountered in a perfume. you have a juicy mandarin mingling with the cardamom & tumeric leaf (tumeric leaf oil is a LMR exclusive material) which comes across like a fizzy, spiced orangeade. highly refreshing & natural smelling despite being synthetic in style. the rest of the scent services this orange accord with a more generic designer base but never overdoes things or become harsh. downside is performance being on the weaker end. is this acceptable? considering the overall scent I would say it's a small trade-off for this beautiful refreshing juice you can spray anytime! it also smells much better than the previous flanker Blanc Eau Fraiche so buy this one!

The opening is intriguing, with lots of citrus and "kitchen" spices. The more it dries the more of tumeric is coming out, then you add some earthy tones and it begins to smell borderline like some pungent Indian restaurant. It does not come off as fresh or sporty cologne in any way, not even as casual scent. Tumeric dominates this profile, if you have any dislikes or tolerance for this spice (scent) you will not enjoy this fragrance. This spice is very strong here and very astringent. If youre not familiar , test it first and wait for dry down to decide. Lacoste is known for it's easy to wear fragrances for general audiences, very surprised to see this quite challenging "fresh" creation in their line up.

Apparently an Iso E Super bomb, with all of the nose-blanking which that comes with. I really can't even smell this. I gave it multiple tries, even after a week of zero fragrances at all in order to make damn good and sure nothing was giving me nose-blindness. The only notes I get from this are cedar and stinging nasal mucosa, which are indicators of high concentration of Iso E Super. When I get my nose away from this, I can still smell other fragrances and aromas and perfumes. This is just a blank.

A very safe spring/summer/fall fragrance. It definitely has the L12 Blanc DNA which is awesome if that's your thing.. The cardamom is there but it's not as front and center as something like YSL La Nuit. I get 4-5 hours light projection with a couple of sprays. A warm drydown. I'm not a huge cardamom guy. PM if interested in a 99% bottle.

Lacoste has a reputation of expertly blended fragrances but cheap ingredients. It doesn't last long. This is a woody Vetiver-Leather fragrance made fresh with a Lavender/Sage heart note. It's like a woody, leathery powder scent. The orange is blink-and-you-miss-it.

The notes seem interesting. Would be interested in sniffing.
