L.12.12. Rose Eau Intense

This only smells of nothing, other than an odd nose pinch, 4 hours later. It's like a delayed knee jerk reaction. It's cloying, not in the traditional sense, in the ozonic sense, too much aldehyde and "nols" perhaps. Other than that, in the projection sense, it's mild, clean and cool, suitable for office wear. Sadly, it's not suitable for me at all. I couldn't jive with this, not even in the "trying to be robotically professional and clean" sense. An artificial lemon floral that reminds me of the things I didn't like about the Davidoff Echo perfume I owned years ago. But it's alright. -- Actually, it's the opposite, if you take away almost everything I disliked about Davidoff Echo, the strong alcoholic note and the way it sits more clashingly loud, then you get this. But the resemblance is there, in that citrus floral ballpark. This is Stacy goes to work but can't wait to get home, undo her bun, let her hair down and have a tonka Lush bath. Echo is Stacy goes to Ibiza and spills vodka on her coverup. -------- Smells like it could have been a Francoise Caron creation.

A fresh and fairly delicate rose, gently dusted with a hint of pepper. It’s quite pleasant and easy to wear, though it doesn’t quite reach the level of something truly extraordinary.

Blah. S'alright. I'm not getting powder, it's straight, average, generic rose perfume. Not unpleasant but entirely uninspiring. I'm trying it in dark, rainy winter though. Might enjoy the freshness more in spring/summer. But meh.
