Lacoste Pour Femme Elixir

I got 2 testers with my last order: La Vie Est Belle and Lacoste Pour Femme Elixier. Never tried any of them before (I know .. I'm a newbie). Wasn't impressed by LVEB (so sour and all over the place) but Pour Femme Elixir... first I thought it was a boring vanilla scent. But then the Jasmine and Gardenia unraveled and I found myself in a sensual, cosy and dare I say mysterious cloud. Love it! I get the generic part and I usually don't like vanilla in perfumes but this one is making my head spin! And the best part: the price. Granted: the lasting power is not out of this world but I don't mind reapplying this beauty. If you like jasmine and a not too sweet vanilla blended perfectly: give it a go!

First of all, the original Lacoste Pour Femme is one of my all time favourites. I perceive this perfume not as a flanker, but as an excellent scent in its own right. Lacoste Pour Femme Elixir is all about Heliotrope. Warm, hazy, elegant, vanillic and almond-like it is full of self sufficient quiet chic. Very sensual and a tiny bit brainy. It echoes some facets of Hypnotic Poison and Manifesto, maybe somewhat more subdued and less bold, but full of aristocratic nobility. Absolutely gorgeous!

I find this scent being sophisticated enough. I mean, for a Lacoste fragrance it's not bad. As was mentioned below, it is blended nicely and smells like each ingredient is on its place. BUT! It's definitely more vanilla than anything else, which a fan of vanilla like myself appreciates. On the other hand, if you are looking for those white floral notes, you risk to not find any. Also, it didn't vanish all that quickly, I guess it really depends on your body chemistry.

Not sure why Lacoste fragrances don't get more love around here. I had the original when it first came out, and it's the only bottle I have reached the bottom of. I bought this flanker online for $35 CAD and while it isn't particularly close to the original, holy moly is it good. Sexy but not over the top, beast performance on my scent-eating skin.

I tested it yesterday among many other expensive scents and this one was the most feminine and interesting. There is the DNA of its predecessor but with added twist and modern update. I think it will create a very pleasant feminine aura around its wearer.

I tried a sample of this out and tbh not that impressed. It started well as a bright fruity floral with some depth from the cedar. I liked the idea of florals in all three tiers of the pyramid as I find they dissipate quickly on me. However after an hour the scent became a strongly sawdusty affair, like powder in the nose when you open a bag of woodshavings for your hamster. By hour three it had become a pale skin scent, soft vanilla woods like a shadow of my beloved Montana 80. I like my fair share of soft undemanding perfumes like 5th Avenue after five, it's the sawdust that turned me off this one in particular Edit 10 June 2020- I like it more now than my initial review. It's a bit warm and sensual and woody but it is powdery. Heliotrope? It sticks in my nose still.

This one is a real surprise - surprising that it is a Lacoste fragrance, and surprising that I really love this scent! There's a hairspray blast right at the outset, but give it a minute and you get an unusual delight. Hints of vanilla and woods begin to emerge. Eventually it becomes rather intriguing, a bit shampooey, sweet, peppery and floral. It has a freshness to it which I love mixed with the vanilla. I am drawn in by it and really really enjoy wearing it. Heavy handedness and resprays are essential, but the price point certainly allows for this.

I wear this around the house cause it’s light, yet so cozy and comforting. The almond scent is delicious. I can kinda see the resemblance with Jimmy Choo’s Fever, but this is different. I had to declutter Fever from my collection bc it was too powdery and fruity (that plum note) and it kinda made me nauseous. But this is great, it’s a lot more gourmand and nutty 😋

Rich, sensual, warm, a bit powdery and a bit spicy. A nice fragrance for cold days. It’s not groundbreaking but it‘s well done. Reminds me of the original Lacoste pour Femme. Sillage is soft, longevity is moderate. Try it if you’re looking for something velvety and mature. Final note: 7/10

This instantly reminded me of CH Good Girl on first spray, there’s a juiciness to it, must be the mandarin orange. After the initial blast, it settles into a spicy vanilla. This is nice but not a love for me.

This is absolutely nothing, at least my bottle is and it is headed directly for the hallway drawer where the rejects live. The 3.4 oz retails for like $30+ and I bought mine for $15+ off ebay so I knew I had a 50/50 shot of getting a bad or counterfeit product, though the seller had above 99.0% feedback and no complaints in the feedback from those that bought a bottle (until after I bought mine). It was shrink wrapped in the box and appeared newer but it has almost no smell, like very lightly scented water. I could see droplets from where I sprayed in on my hand but not smell anything from it. I haven’t bothered to run the batch code, assuming there is one, because it won’t change anything. I paid so little for it, it doesn’t seem worth the effort to return it but if it is genuine and just the way it smells, then it wasn’t worth buying, nor trying to get a “better bottle” retail. If you ARE interested in buying that perfume, don't be me, avoid the $15 ebay deal which is still there, and just go retail. I think FragranceNet had the next lowest price but for a 1.6 oz.

Also in my opinion, this one has nothing to do with the original LPF. I don't know if that was the intention of course, but I think the original LPF is very fresh and powdery and this new perfume reminds me of Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, which for my taste is quite heavy. Sample tested on paper, actually a bit scared to test on my skin.

I have the same problem as the reviewer below. Same seller. I initiated a return n you can too. I know it was cheap but times are rough, I'll put that $17 towards a real product. Plus, that @hole should have to at least give people their hard earned money back-they know exactly what they're doing. I knew it sounded too good to be true but I thought maybe the person had a huge lot of them that they were trying to get rid of, IDK so yeah kinda iffy on my part but still. I don't usually have bad experiences on eBay. Anyway, DON'T BUY THE $15 bottles off eBay!

This is definitely similar to YSL Manifesto (at least to my nose), but it doesn't have that annoying note (no idea what it is) that annoys me in Manifesto. Pleasant white floral - woody vanilla, not super unique but wearable, cozy and inoffensive. Sillage and longevity isn't the best (by that I mean it's BAD), just like the rest of the Pour Femme line. I can definitely imagine wearing this in the fall, would need reapplied a few times throughout the day probably.

it is pleasant and definitely feminine, now though, it suffers from a lack of character, it is blended nicely, yet nothing stands out, and it is rather light...I sprayed a lot and it just vanishes quickly..I couldn't say which notes stand out , I don't get any tuberose nor patchouli, it is like a warm fresh floral..nice, but lacking in something I think it will open up more in spring..I will give it time, but first impression doesn't go beyond nice..

Nothing to do with the original Pour Femme, which I lo-o-ve. This is way too sweet, street perfume, teen vibe, Avon vibe. I am sorry, Lacoste, I hate it. Great job with the Pour Femme Intense though ;)

Sharp, aromatic on me. IT smells exactly like YSL manifesto on me.
