L'Homme Lacoste Timeless

Lacoste L’Homme Timeless Men EDT opens with a moderate projection of sweet, green, spicy, and woody notes. The opening is aromatic, the notes are intense, sharp, and very pleasant. The rhubarb is the most prominent note, piquant, sweet, spicy, sharp, with some green and fruity-like touches; the tea is soft but very noticeable, green, and aromatic. I just received this in an order alongside three other fragrances, and I had to jump in here and give my first impression. I love it, it's so warm and inviting. Also has just the right amount of sweetness, and a note combination that is very pleasant and unique, at least to my nose. I have many fragrances but this is way up there in my top 15 (out of 50). I read about poor performance in the other reviews and my expectations are rather low in this aspect. Update: I lost interest in this fairly quickly. The fruity sweetness came across more and more synthetic with each wear. Decent scent, but I could easily do without this one.

Rhubarb heaven, it has that sweet sour aroma that i really appriciate. a wonderful creation by Michel Girard!

I have mixed feelings about this one. Tested on paper and above wrist. Definitely had same DNA as previous releases but it's a bit different. I think it's softer for sure. There's no juicy orange or ginger in this one at the beginning, they've been changed by bergamot so it does not have citrus sweetness in the opening. But that citrusy start fades quickly and we're jumping to mix of vanilla,pepper and cardamom. I didn't get direct tea leafs smell but I could feel "tea vibe" similar to Gucci pour Homme II, although they're not similar in anything else. This one was even giving me a bit of bitter smell (pepper/cardamom/cedar influence?) I would also say they reminded me such classical things as Terre D'hermes EDT and Cartier's Declaration. They both have a bitter part. Definitely deserves attention. It's not so sweet as Intense, more fresh and on woody. Performance is worse than Intense but better than original EDT.

Tried today, I really like the original L'Homme and the 'Intense' is ok too. This is a different spin on the formula, the trademark sweet orange is gone (rhubarb still present though), replaced by a tea note with bergamot representing team citrus. I find this isn't as woody (or citrusy) as the other two and seems a bit more floral (jasmine) with a vanilla dry-down (very soft). I like the scent, particularly the opening which is lovely but sadly on my skin the performance just isn't there, the fleeting longevity makes the name seem kind of ironic. Might keep an eye out for it in a bargain bin in the future, I wouldn't consider paying more than 20 euros for 100ml though! Worth checking out though as the scent is really a nice one (to me at least).

Just a nice casual fizzy green/rhubarb scent. If you know the original or intense you already know this profile, but this is much nicer. Opens green and tart, I wouldn't call it tea, just a pleasant fizzy green note. There's also the rhubarb which is nice and sharp. The sweetness and fruitiness picks up shortly after, but fortunately the fragrance never feels sickly sweet. A little touch of jasmine and an artificial woodiness are the last to show. This is nothing unique or complex, but it's pleasant and easy to wear. I can't imagine anybody disliking this. The projection is below average, although at the low price point I have no problem going heavy on sprays. It does last a long time on clothes though. Leans more towards youthful.

The late drydown has Valentino Born in Roma's aromatic profile. Doesn't smell like it at all UNTIL the late drydown. Have to repeat myself twice because folks will think I'm saying that its identical. Anyway, its a solid fun fragrance!

A pleasant, fresh scent, very Spring-y and green. It's a very close scent that doesn't protrude out very far, just enough to stay reserved and tasteful.

the naming went wrong with this one. it's rather short living skin scent. the smell is very good, vibrant, funny. 6/10

Cardamom, rhubarb, ginger. Those are all I got. I was highly expecting the tea note as that is one of my favourite notes ever, but I couldn't notice it. Seriously, I'm VERY surprised that this note is high up in Fragrantica. Fun fact: Lacoste's official website does not indicate tea as a note in this fragrance. This is what appears in the web. Olfactory family: Spicy Woody Top notes: Bergamot, Cardamom, Rhubarb Heart notes: Ginger, Black Pepper, Jasmine Base notes: Cedarwood, Dry Amber, Vanilla, Musc Yeah it's not a first that Fragrantica lists notes that don't correspond to the official website, but whatever. I trust what my nose smells. This is an intimate fragrance. Immediate skin scent. I have it side-by-side with Lacoste l'Homme and the two are VERY similar; so similar, in fact, that I had to double-check whether I was sent a l'Homme sample or a Timeless sample. Good thing the juice has different colours so I could confirm: they are very, very close. Certainly, they have the same cardamom DNA, but ironically, Timeless has poorer sillage and longevity than the already short-lived l'Homme. I never identified myself as a fan of the original Lacoste l'Homme, but I prefer that one to this one. It has better longevity and it just smells brighter. Timeless is just an immediate skin scent, and I have many other better skin scents in my collection already. So Timeless is totally a meh for me. I've never smelt it on anyone because it takes one's nose to be within one millimeter of the scented object (skin, paper, etc.) to notice it. I'm just glad I didn't blind buy it.

Ehhh, i sort of regret buying this, not that it smells bad. I've had a sample and when i ran out i went to grab a bottle and sprayed it maybe 5 times and rarely ever again. I guess it doesn't suit my character, i like spicy stuff but this is more green/herbal than anything else, feels like a mix of some dandelion flower ( if you ever rubbed it between your fingers when it's yellow ) and some pine needles or myrrh. Kinda sour and bitter that's the thing i can't pass by. Maybe in air it smells better but i don't think anyone can smell this off you unless it's hot spring day or summer. wish it had more freshness to it then it would be somewhat like leau dissey pour home. this way it's just floating in this unique but unspecific area for me. 7/10 if you like it, can be a signature scent if you're a wierdo ( completely fine i'm one too but not in this way ) but longevity sucks. 3/10 if you dislike something like i described, it's interesting enough to own but you will almost never wear it . Btw if this was a niche scent people would lose their minds because its unique, like that's the only thing that matters.

I love the Intense version, but I find it too weak longevity wise. I wished they made an EDP that smells like the Intense, but with better projection and longevity. And they come out with this... This is not as good in the opening, but nice enough. Smells pleasing. No projection, just a skin scent. After 4 hours you can barely make something out off the skin. Generic as crazy in the drydown, reminds me of the drydowns of Invictus, Bad Boy, Run Wild, Eros Flame etc... How much is enough? The first 3 hours of the Intense are amazing and instead of adding to that, they come out with this generic, weak piece of...

Lacoste L'homme Timeless is a clean, slightly bitter fragrance perfect for formal occasions, particularly in winter or springtime. It is a unique take on a standard fresh and clean scent. I use it in my collection as my generic clean scent because it is more nuanced than a simple clean and hints of my personality.

This is nearly identical to Lacoste L'homme Intense, it feels slightly brighter and a touch of "green" but not by much. If you have LLI you dont need this. If you need to decide between the two, LLI is better, has more of that mass appeal vibe. Nice casual scent nevertheless.

I just want to say this smells great! Love it from opening and the drydown after 2 hours is amazing. Maybe better than both og and intense. Which are both great as well. It feel like a subdued secretive scent though, I don’t notice it if I don’t put my nose to the spot.

This is nice! Peppery and fizzy, fresh and slightly aromatic. Stylish, elegant. Non-offensive. Only poor longevity is problematic. I chased this coming for sale, and it did, 40% off the price, so I bought this for my hubby and sons to be shared. They like it too!

The best one of this lineup. L’Homme Lacoste is too sweet, L’Homme Lacoste Intense is too boring, while the Timeless adds a nice splash of green freshness.
