Encre Indigo

I have been patiently waiting for this to come to my country but it just never did! Lost my patience and just pulled the trigger on it. Got it straight from Lalique itself. Paying full retail price with no regrets. Even got the 150ml showergel for it. Total blind buy, been even trying to get samples with no avail. Since then I been speculating what it would smell like. I knew what I wanted from it and reading the notes I had a vague idea. For sure I wanted that mysterious, natural, dark forest vibe of the other 3 encre's. It for sure delivered on that. But what surprised me the most are the subtle nods to things like blue de chanel, suavuge and even oud wood etc. And by no means a clone to them, it establishes it self in the most unique way possible. I didn't mention those to put them side by side, mind you oud wood isn't even a blue fragrance. And even tho you could say this ''it's just another blue flanker''. It's so much more than that. Matter the fact I genuinely believe the wheel might've been reinvented with this one. Hear me out. When this one finally hits discounters. It has the potential to explode into popularity with the likes of sauvage I dare to say that. It just has that exact same factor that makes it so likeable for everyone around you. An everyday, always clean, mass pleasing, attention grabbing fragrance. But at the same time it also has this niche artisan nuance that requires an attentive wear so to speak. While not being as loud. A lot of people don't seem to know that Lalique is just doing fragrances as a side hussle, their main thing is actually glass works. So unless they don't commit to the distribution and advertisement this one will remain a gem. Walking around the house with it got my first compliments already and even my sister was right away like ''OO MYSTERIOUS!'' So what does it exactly have? As mentioned before, it got that same mysterious dark wood effect like the OG, Extreme and Sport. It's fresh like the inappropriately named flanker Sport. But I consider that one a straight on petrichor vetiver scent that nods you at something like tom ford's grey vetiver. This is nothing like that. This time it comes with such a fruity juniper berry opening that feels so natural and fully rounded that gets delivered by a tartness of bergamot and freshness of pink pepper. When that settles, a calming, meditative black tea note appears combined with a evocative saffron note and a subtle camphorous binding. That saffron can also give this ambiguous leather accord and the tea note goes slightly metallic at times, I love that! But most notably of course is that dark, calming, and deeply mysterious vibe that the saffron really gives off. Of course, a pure vetiver at heart, a lot of people complain about performance but honestly it has the exact same performance and projection as the others. But now with the madagascar variety, still grassy, still earthy but now with a leather undertone. In the base ambroxan very present, earthy patchouli musk, all of it feels super clean, natural and foresty. To go back on the performance, its the exact same as the rest and that's like 3-6 hours. With moderate projection. And trust me, people do smell it on you. The volume is just dialed down slightly but I just think that's the nature of a pure vetiver. You gotta really love it. Oversprays work wonders for it. Sadly I paid full retail so I have to restrain myself from emptying it within 2 weeks. As tradition goes, I compared all of the line in different forest settings. the OG being just dark and gloomy, extreme is that same forest but with a vampire castle, sport is that same forest but after it rained and now Indigo. For some reason it reminds me of a stark dark blue night sky with a bright full moon with the silhouette of a howling wolf. Because it for sure evokes that blue and dark feeling however the forest is in the background and the indigo night skies create the scene. It's a banger, wish it was just more readily available and cheaper. Lalique, get to work!

Gorgeous niche approach to a blue fragrance. Possibly the ultimate cooler, rainy day sort of scent. I received a sample of this directly from Lalique and was very pleased with the scent profile. Definitely has some slight similarities with L'Eau Bleu Issey with the way the juniper is used, but, that's about as far as it goes. While Bleu is the "closest" scent to Indigo, they are far apart in scent profile and are very different from one another. This is smooth, refined, and airy with a slight minerality to it. Tea forward, whereas Issey is rosemary forward. Issey is hiking a wet forest in spring with a bottle of Italian herbs and spices, while Indigo is a tea party in an English garden. Instead of green tea, this is blue tea. It has a cooling effect, and is essentially a really smooth blend of tea mixed with vetiver and juniper. Very baroque. Depressing... yet, hopeful? Like a small shaft of light coming through the grey in a storm. A Victorian gothic take on a blue scent. I don't have anything in my collection that smells like this, and I respect that. The Encre line was always about pushing boundaries and going outside the norm, afterall. Longevity is unfortunately the biggest downfall of this scent. Very disappointing at 3-4 hours, 5 if you're lucky. Heartbreaking, really. I very much wanted this to last as I love the scent itself. Projection is pretty awful as well. Very soft and barely manages an hour of being an intimate bubble around you. I may be purchasing a full bottle when prices calm down, because right now they're still ridiculous. So until they begin to reflect the typical bargain prices of the Encre Noir line, I don't think this fragrance is worth the current pricing by any means. It'd be a completely different story entirely if this scent actually performed, but as that is not the case, I can't justify the current asking prices, even from discounters. Despite being "blue", this isn't a safe blind buy, either. The rating on this fragrance was a bit shocking to me, and had me worried that this was a flop. I think people are disappointed this is marketed as a blue fragrance and think it's probably "generic." I couldn't disagree more with that sentiment though, because as far as blue fragrances go, you will be hard pressed to find any that are even remotely similar to this one. This is a blue addition to the Encre line and I think it fits in just fine. I mean why not? We already have the green approach with Sport, so to me this is a fine addition. I honestly wonder if many of the people impulse voting have even smelled this. It's still "blue" based on the technicality, but I feel in a much more interesting way than the norm. As mentioned, it's a niche approach to a blue fragrance which I really appreciate. Really enjoying the scent profile on this one. Hard to recommend, however, based on the awful performance and current high prices. If not for the performance, this might be one the greatest rainy day scents to release in a long time. Such a shame.

I don’t really like ratings, but I feel it necessary to contribute to boosting Encre Indigo’s standing on the site, and it is one of the rare perfumes that will work perfectly as a year around signature scent if you like it. The opening has a lot of citric impressions that quickly fades, so I recommend you test this on your skin if you wish to give it a fair judgment. In the course of ten minutes, it establishes itself nicely. Saffron works well here and gives a nice, lightly spiced suede impression, and the juniper is somehow more aromatic than coniferous I think. It might be the citrus and ambergris combination that keeps it in check, but what do I know. The most important personal impression at this stage, is that it is impossible not to think of Ganymede. And yet: If Ganymede is the perfume of classic science fiction films that smells of an imagined spaceship interior, Encre Indigo is the perfume of the writer who penned the film’s manuscript. So it is not a comparison I will take too far, and Encre Indigo is probably less polarising and projects less. There is no akigala, and although there are mineral and metallic effects, they feel more natural and rounded, which is probably the somewhat omnipresent vetiver effect. On the other hand: the reviews that complain about performance could, at least some of them, reflect an expectation that Indigo should work as the vetiver totem that is Encre Noire does. But as with many EDPs, you are fooled into thinking that it should smell stronger the closer you stick your nose towards the skin. It does not. A bit like with Eau Sauvage Parfum, the strongest scent is 3-6 feet around you, and I could not help revisiting a few reviews that complained for that one too. Ask someone around you who was not recently drenched in scent themselves, and I am certain that most people would be convinced that it is there. I also get a few seconds sillage effect for the first maybe three hours. If you are a city dweller like me, I would be surprised if the person next to you on the bus, tram or metro service did not notice it on your way home from work. Revisiting the Ganymede comparison, I would say Encre Indigo is rather well behaved, and where I reserve Ganymede for specific occasions, Encre Indigo is far more office friendly and apt for daily use. Yet it is important ti say that it is far from being a daily barbershop scent. It behaves niche-y; rather a tongue in cheek role play with elements from the style Sauvage, perhaps Chanel Bleu and the like represent, but there are also youngish, fresh and a bit cheeky nods to those various leathery styles that rather try to focus on date nights and seduction. After three hours, it becomes more vetiver centric and starts reminding more about Encre Noire. But it manages to keep many of the fascinating initial aspects, albeit more subdued, until it fades after ten hours’ time. Obligatory to try it, methinks.

This is the fourth of five Lalique reviews I'm doing as a series this week and the first of the set that wasn't created by Nathalie Lorson. In her stead, Annick Menardo takes over the nose duties and Encre Indigo, the most recent release of the bunch brought to market in 2023, goes back to its roots a bit. It feels, right from the off, as an aquatic reimagining of the original Encre Noir. Indigo retains the inky, moody feel of the original but is a bit more complex and I feel more appropriately-priced, coming in around twice what the original costs. Make no mistake though, it is still incredible value for what it delivers and like the original is very fine niche quality in a very fine bottle with class, individuality and sticking power. The juniper and bergamot in the top notes are more evocative of Encre Noir Sport and the way they work with the black tea notes here evokes a fresher The Noir 29 by Le Labo to me but without the challenging bitterness at its edges. There is a petrichorian waterfall accord to this that I find really attractive. It moves the feel of this fragrance to make it more moist than the dry original but without losing the moody vibe. Again, it is superbly well judged. You really get the watery vibe after about an hour of wear but it is linear after that. It goes for about an hour or so less than the original and the Sport and a couple less than L'Extreme. The vetiver is like a familiar friend at this point and runs through this top to bottom as it does on the previous three I reviewed. Indigo is another study on inky, moody vetiver but approached from a different angle. I absolutely love the addition of ambergris in the base notes. It is strange because even this deep into this review series I'm still not sure if I truly love vetiver as a note, but I enjoy it across all of these Encre Noir releases. I especially like how all four are similar and all are studies on vetiver as a theme, but all four are distinct and interesting enough to demand a place in my collection in their own right. All four are very wearable, much more so than I was expecting when I went into this with five blind buy bottles. I enjoy an aquatic fragrance and this is a bit underrated I think. You think of Acqua di Gio, Bvlgari Aqua, Sailing Day by Maison Margiela and of course the iconic Cool Water by Davidoff and this is as good as any of those, but I would say doesn't have the slightly cloying chlorine swimming pool synthetic feel that you sometimes find in this sector. Encre Indigo is more interesting than all those fragrances as well. If you enjoy an aquatic fragrance with a bit of personality then I would very much recommend giving Encre Indigo a try. Just purchased this. I look forward to wearing it and allowing it to grow on me. My first impression is that the saffron and somewhat soft spices, in combination with the woody vetiver, actually reminds me of Tom Ford's Oud Wood. I thought I was going crazy until I saw it was top five on the "reminds me of" list. But truly it doesn't smell like a clone by any means, it is just the saffron and smokey woods that are in the Versace Oud Noir and Tom Ford Oud Wood DNA. Anyway, that's just me. My entire family loves this fragrance. My mom, who grew up traveling too and from Iran, says that it reminds her of the smell of Persian tea and the household during breakfast (the black tea note, bergamot, and saffron). My brothers both said that it smells good, one agreeing with the earl grey tea vibe, the other thinking it just smells pleasant. Someone also said that to them it smelled very woody. My little sister, however, who is like the worst fragrance reviewer ever lol, says that it smells "sour." Upon further injury and attempts at articulation, what she meant was that it smells citrusy and fruity, but not really sweet. To me, after only two wearings, it is warm but fresh, has some fruitiness off the top, definitely saffron, and for sure has the Encre vetiver in there. I will say, so far, projection and longevity are personally letting me down a bit, but I wouldn't say they are terrible. Just somewhere on the weak to moderate spectrum. I will probably make another real review after a long while of wearing this. I also just purchased the sport version and look forward to finally testing it once Jomashop actually decides to send it to me.

Love all prior iterations of Encre Noir, and have been pining for this. It finally got below $60 so I pulled the trigger. I was prepared to be disappointed because the majority of reviews either don't mention vetiver or say it is quite scarce here. It may not have the pure dosage of EN, but it is definitely vetiver-forward. Mixing vetiver, juniper and bay leaf together (three of my favorite notes) is so smart that I can't believe that it hasn't been done in lots of fragrances before. Adding the tea note, though, really boosts this into the "niche" range that EN lovers so often mention. Ah, but performance isn't that great, you say. I would respond that none of the ENs are either, and this shouldn't surprise anyone. This doesn't have the usual woods, leather, rose or amber/vanilla that stick around for 10 hours. This is heavy on the top and heart notes, and it sparkles, inspires and excites for a good 4 - 5 hours, then job done. Make a decant, re-up in the afternoon for a full day's worth of smelling amazing. At $60 (probably eventually to be $35) that's not a big deal. That's also about the performance that you will get out of Green Irish Tweed at $350 a bottle, and I like this more. Oh, and did I mention that the bottle looks amazing? I don't usually care about that stuff, but this one rocks. This is, for me, tied with EN L'Extreme for favorite of this line, being on the opposite ends of the spectrum - ENLE warm, incensey and EI sparkling and clean. This is a better "sport" fragrance than EN Sport, though that one is very nice too.

Addicting, sophisticated, energizing opening. Without a doubt Its an Encre Flanker, you can't mistake it. Anything with Patchouli and vetiver in it turns nuclear on my skin and this so far is no exception at all. I requested a sample directly from Lalique a few months ago and it just now arrived. I'll come back to report on longevity as it wears on. So far projection is over arms length and strong at that distance. Sillage is solid too. 3 + hours in and its all identical as far as power, I always do one solid spray to test on the top of my left hand, and still at rest its whirling right into my sinus with zero effort. Saffron has really amplified at the 3 hour mark, the other notes are as they were. Hour 7 and its still strong at arms length, not as prickly to the sinus as it was for the first 6 hours, but the scent has remained with only minor softening. For sure this is full bottle worthy , its an instant WOW for me. Its 33 degrees here today and snowing just so you know what temp this is happening in . I usually let scents sit for a few weeks after the initial spray but it feels this won't need it. I'll do it anyway. Whoever is getting 1 hour out of it either has pores the size of oranges or is nose blind very quick from over spraying. My skin still has the shine from where I sprayed it. 100% banger , sophisticated, superior blending and I think once it hits discounters it's going to fly fast....

First things first: This is a cool fragrance. Moody, understated and chill, it would suit a person who didn’t want to be “cologne guy” but still have a scent for his personal space. There are no notes that scream, just an amazing melancholic blend that I personally love. Indigo has much more in common with L’Insoumis, Lalique’s 2016 release based on vetiver, patchouli, aromatic notes, and a mild boozy accord. But whereas Insoumis gives a bit of a retro/fougere experience, Indigo looks to the future. Or if not the future, at least it thankfully avoids the modern trope of fuzzy, personality-less sweetness that seems to be all the rage. It also avoids the more recent trope of sexless, passionless mineral or agikalawood notes that bore a hole into the brain. No, indigo is more aligned with L’Insoumis’s vetiver/patchouli/aromatic profile than the beloved, brooding (if not somewhat polarizing) Encre Noir. Of course, I say all this for a reference point only, as Indigo certainly goes its own way. In my ideal world, then, this would be a flanker of L’Insoumis, but I understand that EN is by far the most famous name and is better for marketing. Final verdict: an introverted, moody, personal essence-style fragrance that is a welcome addition to the already incredible Lalique lineup for men! It’s also a great value for the current prices it’s going for at discounters.

I wouldn’t call this love at first sight. Instead, it’s more of an acquired taste that flirts between love and hate. It's not a straightforward blue fragrance; it's more of a darker shade of blue, like twilight. At first spray, it greets you with a bold inkiness as its name suggests ("encre indigo" means "blue ink" in French!). But story evolves within a 15 minutes. The sharpness mellows, and the scent evolves into a blend of woody and aromatic notes. It feels like settling into a familiar space; relaxed, yet sophisticated. The signature Encre Noire DNA is unmistakable, lurking in the background. What makes this fragrance stand out is its versatility. It’s one of those rare all-year-round fragrances; you could wear it to a casual meetup or a formal event, making it the ultimate grab-and-go perfume. Longevity and sillage are the weakest points of this fragrance, moderate at best. I don't think you can wear it all day long. You need to reapply it every 3-5 hours. As a rookie perfume enthusiast, I’ve tested over 100 fragrances on my skin and read reviews of 2,500+ in just two months. It smells unlike anything I’ve come across—distinctive and memorable. From now on, I think I have found my signature scent.

I do really enjoy this scent. Theres a "Sterility" to Encre Indigo in the opening which I find interesting and and even pleasing to my nose. I also really enjoy how it transitions into a darker Tea scent with slight hints of smokey Vetiver, but if Im being completely honest, if Id paid full retail for Encre Indigo as a blind-buy I'd have been kinda pissed ONLY bc it so darned intimate! Imho while Encre Noire, EN L'extreme and EN Sport all smell "Expensive" and of very high quality and while E Indigo is really pleasant and even "Unique", its just NOT as Groundbreaking as the OG or even the other two original flankers where. Encre Indigo is much more casual, T-Shirt & Jeans sorta "My skin but better" type of scent which has been done time and time again. When I wear Encre Noire I just feel super "Put Together" bc it just smells so Elegant and masculine as do the other two. Imo OG Encre Noire is actually worth the Retail $100+ asking price, while E Indigo is perfect for the around $50 asking price its going for nowadays. A very nice 7 outta 10 minus one point for intimate sillage, although I feel it has solid longevity of between 6 and 7 hours on skin. Not bad, NOT great.

The opening is challenging and not for everyone. It comes across sharp, medicinal, almost like a dentist’s office — clean, slightly metallic, and intense. Personally, I enjoy it, but it’s important to say: if you don’t like that kind of medicinal profile, this will likely put you off immediately. As it settles, the fragrance transforms into something more botanical and nuanced. The vetiver comes through in a softer, more open way compared to the original Encre Noire. This isn’t a dense, dark forest — it feels like a more open landscape: fresh air, greenery, and even subtle marine facets that give it a cool, slightly salty edge. There’s also a faint sweetness that rounds it out without making it commercial or sugary. It’s clearly related to Encre Noire, but it goes in a different direction — more airy, more modern, and less root-heavy. Interestingly, my wife didn’t enjoy the opening but liked it much more once the medicinal edge faded. I personally appreciate it in all its stages, but it’s definitely not a safe blind buy. You have to enjoy that initial medicinal character to fully connect with it. A unique, atmospheric scent that rewards patience and the right nose.

Very excited to try a brand new fragrance by the makers of one of my favourite fragrances, Encre Noir a L’Extrème. The opening immediately reveals the Encre Noir DNA in the vetiver & patchouli base but on top there’s a much fresher, cleaner, lighter mix of juniper and bergamot that brings to mind bracing, cool, fresh oceanic air and rugged, rocky landscapes lashed by the Atlantic Ocean. It seems to quickly sweep away the darker vibe of the base. There’s a prominent, gorgeous, airy note of black tea in the middle, it’s one of my favourite notes in perfumery. It adds a calming, comforting vibe but also augments the refreshing feel of the top notes. It leans slightly towards masculine, but really everything is unisex. Very different to my Encre Noir a L’Extreme, the only resemblance is in the base that’s most evident in the immediate opening and the late dry down. It seems to project quite well but it’s no beast. I think this is very adaptable, could be worn nearly all year round, except maybe cold winter nights. What a fantastic composition, I love this fragrance, perhaps as much as Encre Noir a L’Extreme.

I'm back here after almost a year and am utterly disappointed with the rating of this beautiful perfume. This one should be closer to 4.20; it seems all the trendy guys missed the tea movement of the past years. I'm afraid this one will permanently fall by the wayside now that a wave of "white" fragrances is looming. The opening is magnificent; I wish it would last, and that's precisely the key! I have my stockpile because perfumes like this don't come out on a regular basis. Now i think, maybe it's just too mature for boys. - Ik kom hier na bijna een jaar terug en ben ronduit teleurgesteld over de score van dit prachtig parfum. Deze zou richting de 4,20 moeten, het lijkt erop dat alle hippe jongens de theebeweging van de afgelopen jaren hebben gemist...ik vrees dat deze er blijvend bij in schiet nu er een golf van 'witte' geurtjes aan dreigt te komen. De opening is grandioos, ik zou willen dat het bleef duren en daar zit nu juist de sleutel ! Ik heb mijn voorraad want parfums als deze verschijnen niet aan de lopende band. Misschien is het te volwassen voor de jongens.

Sampling Lalique Encre Indigo, a fittingly bluish relative of the dark, ashy, vetiver-rich Encre Noire, and part of the same collection, fittingly a fresher alternative. It immediately reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent M7 Fresh in its pairing of a burst of freshness against a familiar, darker backdrop, and I like that aspect immediately, sort of the best of the both worlds for those looking to avoid anything too dark or boringly fresh. I love the bright opening of juniper berry, pink pepper, and bergamot, giving way to the familiar vetiver-led drydown that also entails black tea and saffron. Overall, it’s versatile, useful, interesting, and a logical option for those that miss M7 Fresh. Plus, it performs quite well. Encre Indigo is EDP concentration and its full retail pricing the house’s US website is $139/95 for 100/50ml, so it’s considerably pricier than either Encre Noire or the a la Extreme flanker, both available on the secondary market for a fraction of the Encre Indigo pricing, so presumably Encre Indigo should be less expensively eventually. 8 out of 10

Wow. Fantastic stuff. Annick Menardo flexin' a bit. This is different. And in a world of sameness we get treated to flankers such as this that depart the formation to so some solo frag-o-batics. I love everything about this. Ok well the performance is a little bit wanting *but* I almost come to grips with that by simply saying 'it wasn't designed for that'. It literally smells like the bottle color to me. A deep, translucent blue. Not a 'blue' by standard Macy's countertop offerings, but a special, dark blue. This is the fragrance equivalent (to me) of Rykard's 'North Cormorant Obscurity'. I often have a hard time translating notes and ingredients into feelings and conveying them as well as many of the wordsmiths on this site. Whatever. This is really well done. I'm always looking for different, and this certainly is. Proves that high scores aren't always as important as I sometimes make them. I can see a slight resemblance to the Bvlgari pour hommes, but not Noir 29. It is definitely worth sampling, as my sample led me into a full bottle.

Is it Good? Yes Blind Buy? No (Unless you enjoy the Encre Noire) Longevity? Longer than i thought shorter than I want ( 4-5 Hours) Worth Collecting? Yes The last Encre, I don't want to say its the best, but its definitely my favorite of the 4. I think this is the one that is least linear of the other 3. Develops a bit more from opening to mid to dry-down. Encre Noire Is dark, A la Extreme is Dark Professional, Sport is well Sporty, Indigo is Ink tea. The opening gives it that much needed brightness before the start of the dry and achrid tea and vetiver. As all of the other Encre line, nothing really else is similair to any of the Encre. Its tea without the annoyance of sparkle, its a slightly less dirty vetiver. For Collectors: Light Bright Citrus opening, Earthy Woody, Tea(Relaxing, minty, green, red, slightly astringent), If you enjoy the others in the line I would say you should pick this up if you can find it for under $40. If not just keep waiting for the price to fall a bit more.

I'm not sure what's up with this rating but this was an instant love for me. I totally get the marketing and the name, it definitely evokes the feeling of blue ink. Tea is the most prominent note, there's juniper and damp, earthy, smoky vetiver. There's also something salty and mineralic. Saffron is a major note as well, it adds a fuzzy, slightly metallic tone but it's not overwhelming. I haven't tried anything else from the Encre line, but if this is anything to go by then I definitely understand the hype. Performance is meh, with soft projection, but the longevity is okay, at least on my skin. I wish it was a bit stronger but think it fits the vibe they were going for. Finally about the price, I ended up buying a full bottle for 80$ which would've been a steal if it wasn't for the fact that it's probably going to sell for way less in a couple of months. I don't regret it though, it's still a good deal for something of this quality and I'm glad I own the bottle.

that's exactly how i imagined lapis lazuli from minecraft would smell/taste when i was a kid lol i'm surprised the mineral accord isn't mentioned in the notes because to me it most definitely smells like coal and concrete. then there are forest-ish greens, blue ink, black tea, and a touch of something aquatic. there's also a very subtle berry sweetness behind all that bitterness, which balances it perfectly. the whole scent is pretty linear and doesn't really change over time, which isn't a problem at all. update: only after two days of wearing it did i start recognizing that familiar encre noire earthy, ambery, wet-forest base, which now feels sooo obvious. no idea how i couldn't smell it at first. i am in love. this is a beautiful, unusual scent. it is harsh, yet somehow so calming and dreamy. perfect for a cold summer rain. performance 7/10 associations 10/10 scent 8.5/10

Typical Encre Noire fragrance. Masculine. Familiar DNA with a hint of sweetness and smoke. Best suited for spring and fall, though you could probably wear this all year round. Sits close to the skin and draws people close. Like the others in this line, it's a conversation starter. People can't quite figure this out, so they ask questions. Addictive scent. Personally, I love the EN line. This one lies somewhere between Sport and the OG. I wouldn't say it isn't redundant, nor I wouldn't say it is redundant; you'll need to draw your own conclusions. I'll just say it's different. A tad pricier than the others, but a worthwhile pickup if you like the DNA.

It opens with distinct juniper, ink, and a slightly earthy, almost industrial-metallic accord in the style of Dior Fahrenheit. But it quickly softens, and notes of black tea, vetiver, and laurel emerge. The juniper begins to sound a little brighter, and the industrial edge and ink fade into the background, but don't completely disappear. It's very dark, almost gothic, but nevertheless not at all heavy thanks to the juniper and tea. Despite its unusualness, I find it quite versatile; it's well-balanced and almost cozy, with the black tea note very well conveyed. Longevity is average, as is sillage.
