Hommage Alain Delon

The last fragrance of the Alain Delon parfums line is a gourgeous scent. Chris from Scentland gave the right description to it: a freshly ironed white shirt. It's a very clean smell, the pepper, the nutmeg, the Woody notes and the violet are blended very well and the fragrance is very fresh, airy, gentle, elegant. The right picture is alain delon walking in the sea market with his white shirt in Plein Soleil. I understand The comparison with lalique White, i prefer hommage over l.w. The discreet, elegant, and unobtrusive fragrance of Hommage is like an actor's farewell: the curtain closes, the lights go out, but the emotion remains. As Delon said in Cannes few years ago: "It was difficult to last, and I lasted. Now, the difficult thing is to leave. Because I will leave." This perfume is the end of an olfactory journey that has lasted over forty years, but don't worry, Alain: you've left, and yet you're still here. Ps: i dont know why fragrantica doesnt have pages for other a.d. fragrances like seducteur, seducter rebel, champion and champion aqua. I think they came out around 2015. I have two of them so far: Seducteur rebel: a sweet tabacco fragrance, not heavy or sticky. Warm but with a fresh undertone. A mix of jpg le male and bogart pour homme (without the cherry). Good product, good performance as well. My vote is 7. Champion: i dont get the connection with the name and the actor( Delon wasnt an hardcore sporty guy..). However , this is an aromatic fresh spicy fragrance. It has a bit of a 90's vibe, it is a mix of davidoff echo, Trussardi action and boss elements. I prefer this over seducteur rebel because i like fresh parfumes more. My vote is 7,5 close to an 8.

I may help the below person Mystères du Château de Dé a bit: there is nothing confusing here, maybe just the lack of knowledge. AD passed away last year and the AD Brand has long been owned by the Lalique Group. So they have decided to pay "Hommage" to the legendary actor by launching this wonderful fragrance which comes indeed in the same bottle as the 1995 Samourai (which is still beng sold in Japan but under a different license,not AD). Lalique actually used this botlle design already before for AD fragrances Seducteur, Seducteur Rebel, Champion, Champion Aqua. Check it out. Bravo Lalique!

***Initial Impression*** Lalique's-Alain Delon Hommage offers a very BEAUTIFUL, crisp, floral, woody, slightly spicey and ozonic experience which is extremely versitle and office safe making it THEE PERFECT Signature or Office safe fragrance without a doubt! It wears very litet (a bit too lite) and somewhat close to the skin making it a very elegant experience. Admittedly I preffer my fragrances to wear a bit more heavier and more noticable, but after having acquired SO MANY Lali

Think Lalique Hommage à l'Homme Eau de Toilette, but a touch brighter on the citrus, a touch creamier on the violet leaf, and little less woody. Reasonably powerful - leaving a solid trail - so be aware that others will know you are wearing this if you overdo it. Fantastic addition to the line, definitely back-up bottle worthy. And that’s my next task. Update: backup ordered.

A very elegant and appealing Hommage to the late, great AD, my all time favorite idol. Smooth, intelligently blended discrete freshness with a nutmeg & pepper twist and a nice woody / musky dry down. Great longevity if slightly oversprayed. Bravo Lalique!

Wearing it for several months and it is still among my favorite fragrances. Elegant, clean, stylish and packed with positive energy somehow. Overall a beautiful, easy going, very much french fragrance and a perfect Hommage to the late great Alain Delon!

First: It's a nice gesture to pay tribute to the great actor-director with a new fragrance bearing his name, when many years ago many other AD fragrances were present on drugstore shelves! Unfortunately, AD's death really put an end to his late fragrances, some of which are perhaps still available on the internet. Second: The last "Seducteur" series was also released under the wings of Lalique, but those fragrances didn't reach everywhere either.....maybe they were released in limited quantities and in terms of their scents they were already modern interpretations and didn't necessarily match the unique and unforgettable atmosphere of the previous perfumes! But they were released during the actor's lifetime, perhaps with his approval(?), which is not at all certain.....since he sold the ownership rights according to the news...... AD Hommage: A beautiful, clean, aromatic fragrance in which very high-quality ingredients harmonize with each other and maybe they worthily reflect the unique, charming impression of the former actor, which men looked up to and swept women off their feet. But still.... I think many of us would have been really happy if they had brought back to life the first (Classic) perhaps the most defining fragrance, which left its mark on the perfumes of the 80s at that time and forever inscribed itself in the history of fragrantica! In my opinion, that could have been the real "Homage" to the person of Alain Delon!

He just died a few weeks ago and already trying to make profit with his name. Cruel world!

Just got it today directly from Lalique. Thank you Scentland the land of scent for giving me the tip. It is a really nice fragrance very elegant. Think of a well groomed man exulting elegance in a semi casual outfit: jeans, white shirt and nice light brown richelieu shoes. Two upper buttons of his white shirt unbuttoned. French elegance in its simpliest way. I could compare the feeling of this fragrance in the french world to the one of D&G Light Blue intense in the italian world. I do not compare the smell of the fragrance here but the feeling. The fragrance is rather light woods and citruses. I can smell sandalwood and dusty cedar or papyrus combined with spices and amalfi lemon. Just my humble opinion and in order to answer the first two comments: I don't believe AD had in mind to come back after decades! I don't think Lalique is trying to make profit with the name of AD! Otherwise thew would not sell 100 ml for 69€ on their website. It is a tribute to the person of Alain Delon. C est un hommage a Alain Delon. Thus the name. Ave Moi as he would say in Asterix. Rest In Peace.

Very confusing. That is the Samouraï bottle. And Samouraï is no longer listed as fragrance in the Alain Delon brand. Though it can still be purchased. Also the notes do not match. I wonder what the back story is. I was under the impression the Alain Delon brand no longer exists. This is a Lalique product sold on the Lalique company website.

Instantly remind me Lalique Pour Homme Equus, pretty the same. The violet is dominant.

Alain Delon .Interesting, It took decades for him to come back.
