Lalique de Lalique 20th Anniversary Limited Edition

Very strong soapy opening that is taking me some time to get used to. The pear and florals are there throughout and there is a distinct spiciness from the cloves that is very prominent to me at least. It's a very special scent. I am experimenting layering it with a perfume oil called sparkling rose to give it a little more fruity sweetness. I think it is a statement perfume that spells classic elegance and confidence, but layering it with a sweeter floral cream maybe something from BBW can make it a lot more approachable for everyday wear if you just want to wear it on a normal day without it feeling too elevated... Also I find it quite strong so I wouldn't overspray. Particularly because even if I love it, I think it might be one of those love/hate scents and I hate the idea of people around me really disliking my perfume and having to put up with it... I tend to wear perfume very lightly if I am going to be around people.

Fell inlove with this scent just today, first attracted to the bottle, sniffed and I was like this is kinda Aspen by coty family... I smell a bit spice in the opening, now it dried down powdery sweet on my arm. Hope I’d like it till the end since the price isn’t cheap at all. Update: (08/21/2022) since I loved this at first sniff, bought it and tested/used it for a couple of times... especially since I wanna get a bigger bottle of ever! But I am so disappointed right now as I type this. the scent was lovely but doesn’t even last an hour I guess. today, before going out, before I do my make up and dressed up I sprayed this on, but while doing my make up I couldn’t even smell this anymore... I was wth?! where did it go? then sprayed again 3x full push on the sprayer... my husband will usually smell me from the room, would even say “it’s too sweet”, “smells nice”, “it’s an annoying smell” etc. never heard anything till I walked out the door. drive the car just 2km, arrived my target place still smelling nothing on me. sprayed again before I got out of the car. I couldn’t smell anything, after 2hrs fetch my girl from work, asked her “can you guess which perfume I’m wearing today”? she said I couldn’t smell anything. I got pissed off 😤 wondering If this is the real deal that it only smells good right upon spraying and gone after 10min. or what? I can’t say that it’s a fake one coz I bought it in a reputable mall in Japan 🇯🇵. they couldn’t sell fake perfumes in that mall for sure. Now, I wanna smash my bottle 😂😤😢😭. It’s so sad that my heart seldomly skip that fast when I smell something that I really want and love from the start😓

I've tried it just once but that single test was enough to add it to my wantlist I remember it to be loud and memorable.I expected to see white floral on top of it's accord's list since I remember jasmine to be the most prominent note.it opens with heady and sultry white florals,I thought it must have jasmine and gardenia in it's pyramid.I love pear but I couldn't find juicy,crisp pear which I'm used to it.fruits are lush,sweet and fruity wine-like here and give an interesting boozy twist to white florals.it soon calms down to a lighter and drier scent.sandalwood and vanilla ground the floralfruity scent of first half an hour and create a soft,warm and creamy scent.sandalwood and jasmine were the most detectable notes to my nose.on my skin it didn't get powdery until it's late drydown I'm going to review this whenever I can retry it or buy my own bottle of Lalique de Lalique 20th anniversary.what I can say for now is that it's not safe to blindbuy.though it's a sweet scent and doesn't smell really sophisticated,I think it better suits adults.it's longevity was good with a single spray and it's bottle is beautiful.I won't pay much for it but in usual Lalique price range(less than 40 bucks)it's worth trying (I didn't buy it the day I tried it because in that perfume shop,it's price tag wasn't fitting in Lalique's typical range)

Gorgeous gorgeous bottle. This was part of a La Lique haul I was excited to get. This is the only fragrance I can stomach out of all of them. Amethyst repulses me and Perles is just awful. They seem to have this sickly note running through them that I can't put my finger on. This one is OK. Quite pleasant. I get the floral and pear. Wouldn't re purchase and will probably give to my Mum. They are really well made perfumes for the price but I just don't like them. Apart from the bottles which are stunning.
