Lalique Pour Homme

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I love the f*cK out of this stuff! To my nose, this is neither powdery or overpowering. This was a throw-in-blind-buy because it was so cheap and upon receiving the package, I sprayed a business card in my office as I was already wearing something that day. I'll admit that I wasn't thrilled with how it acted off the paper. I took the three business cards I sprayed with the three different fragrances I purchased (this, guerlain l'instinct EDP, and ralph's club elixir) and went to a few of my colleagues and asked them which they liked the most. In hindsight, this is pretty stupid, but I work in a small office and everyone at this point can figure out that I wear a wide variety of fragrances. Well, let me tell you that out of the 4 or 5 people I asked (3 women and 2 men, I think), 3 liked ralph's club elixir (no surprise and it's my least favorite out of the trio), one guy hates everything (yet really needs something to mask his own "scent"), but one woman (my favorite colleague in the office) immediately gravitated towards this. Let's call her "A", because it's easier. I was a bit shocked. At that point I was having doubts lalique pour homme lion (or whatever this fragrance is actually called) was even worth the $20 I spent on it: the opening felt too astringent and almost medicinal in the way it came off both green and overly soapy. The dry down was just starting on the strip and A told me she could always tell which of her husband's fragrances would develop much better on skin and in the air from the sillage based on how they reacted to paper. Her husband is a big Tom Ford wearer, so she and I would occasionally talk about fragrances that he was wearing lately if she though I hadn't tried it yet and I knew she had some depth on the subject. Well, A could have been full of shit, but she was 100% right about this! The opening is far less stringent on my skin and the way it radiates a warm, yet fresh and slightly sweet citrus is so f'ing good. Better yet, the dry down introduces this smokey note that makes most barbershop fougere fragrances jealous. It's on this weird borderline between fresh/aromatic and smokey that I honestly didn't think existed because the two just don't seem to sit next to each other on any spectrum of notes - at least they didn't in my head. Until now... The majority of the wear features a smokey, green, fresh and woody profile, while opening with a gorgeous citrus and aromatic blast very reminiscent of other barbershop style fragrances. But this is just so much better. If you dress nicely for work, this is perfect any time of the year and can be worn dressed up as well as business casual. It's masculine and unapologetically so, but not in a douchy "sauvage-toxic" sort of way. It's more like the way a confident guy smiles at people authentically and makes eye contact to show he's giving his attention to the other person and earnestly listening to them comes off as masculine. It's not "alpha" or whatever idiots want to pretend they are by comparing themselves to four legged animals, but gentlemanly and lends the wearer a vibe of solid upbringing and mastery of their life. Basically, I have no business wearing it, but it's so f'ing good, I love rocking this and how it makes me feel when I'm feeling good in my skin and clothes. So get it if you want a fragrance that harkens back to an older, more refined model of what masculinity looks like. It's not like men's fragrances started with cringe inducing YouTube influencers a decade ago. This speaks to those who understand the difference between traditions worth keeping while letting go of the toxicity that often accompanied the same era. It's a modern take on a classic idea. There, that's what I meant to say with this long rambling comment. Forget everything else but this last bit.

wWOWw!! I am freakin' BLOWN AWAY! I mean WOW! I thought I had some idea of how Lalique Pour Homme might smell but I was just WAAAAY OFF! Smells much better than I'd expected it to and I would've gotten it AGES AGO if I'd known how this smells! The opening is so clean, crystaline and YES a bit on the mature side, but I honestly thought it would have a more "Vintage/Powdery" Masculine smell like a lighter version of Guerlain's Habit Rouge, Davidoff's Zino or Tom Ford's Bo De Jor and THAT'S why I was putting off grabbing a bottle bc of redundancy, but while Lalique Pour Homme is "Mature/Masculine" it is NOT "Dated" like those fragrances are (Which I also adore) and reminds me more of like an 90's powerhouse masculine fragrance. The "Retail Price" for Lalique Pour Homme edp 2.5 oz bottle is $117 on Laliques website and that price is 100% justified! Dont get me wrong, I am so, SO glad that we can get these amazing fragrances for a fraction of the retail cost on"Discounters," but sadly it truley is a detrimemt to this fabulous brand bc it de-values them in peoples minds bc they're under tbe impression that these are just "Cheapies" or have "Low Quality ingredients" and if ya know a good, quality scent when ya smell one, then ya know that's just NOT the case with Laliques offerings. Its actually a detrimemt in the market for Lalique as well!... buuut, I digress.. As iLalique PH dries down it does get slightly more powdery, but NOT as powdery or vanillic as the other options Id mentioned. Lalique Pour Homme gives TOTAL "Boss Vibes" and is excellent for businees attire, is office safe and is just so great smelling and does have a "Modern edge" to it. Id say its for fellas 25 and up and is "NOT for the kiddos" like the "Negatives" drop list states. This scent is very vesitle being great for basically all seasons (maybe not for super hight heat tho.) Now, straight outta my brand-new bottle this has moderate longevity/projection (5 to 6 hours on skin, arms length projection), but as some may already know, Most Lalique fragrances almost ALWAYS drastically improve once air has been introduced into the bottles and they've had a chance to "Maturate." Also while this had been compared to Creed's Bois de Portugal, I have not smelled that one so I cannot compare them, BUUUT what I can say is that out of my 200+ bottle collection (including many Classic/Masculins) I have NOTHING else that smells quite like Lalique Pour Homme! Now, I rarely grade fragrances in my in MY collection over a 7 or an 8 unless Im just blown away by it, but Lalique Pour Homme has to get a 9 outta 10 from me! I mean what an unexpected, pleasant surprise, like FORE REAL! Folks if your a fellow "Frag-Head" like myself and collect, do yourself a big ol' favor and just grab this CRIMINALLY underrated/inexpensive fragrance, ESPECIALLY if you're into 80' or 90's style masculine fragrances! I went for a 2.5 tester with cap for only $19!!.. FREAKIN' BONKERZ!! And DO NOT let the inexpensive price tag fool you into thinking Lalique Pour Homme smells "Cheap", this stuff smells super refined, smells "Expensive" and just plain AMAZING! A real Must-Have in anyones fragrance collection! I mean I can't even🤩!! Lol! So glad that I finally got this and I can confidently say that this is one of my best purchases of 2025 HANDS DOWN! So stoked (as yall can probably tell!) It is simply THAT GOOD!

Rough, cheap smelling, budget..........these are words that should never be used anywhere near this beautiful scent. This is one of the best fragrances I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Just gorgeous and perfectly dosed with incredible ingredients, gentle individually but crafted together to produce a substantial fragrance that can only be classed as sublime, refined, stylish and wonderfully cultivated! Lavender, citruses, woods, iris, amber's, vanilla, oakmoss and more! So delicate but somehow made punchy too! I've only encountered perhaps 20 or so perfumes out of probably thousands I've tried that I'd consider to be masterful. Regardless of the price this sits right in there amongst them all, it's a very special concoction in my opinion. It's definitely for the more mature man but one who is self assured and cuts a dash. Someone who values permanent, timeless class over silly trends, long term solutions over a quick fix that never truly works! Hopefully the brighter people reading this understand what I'm trying to say! If you are into sweet, modern scents this may be something for you to let pass by! Performance is great now that it's macerated/matured over several months. initially I got a strong alcoholic scent with a weak indifineable note! Disappointed was putting it mildly. Thrown into a box and pretty much forgotten until a few weeks ago. I gave it a couple of sprays with the view to putting it straight back but no! Magic had happened. Neat alcohol had majestically transformed into a complex, deep and wonderful scent. This is real life Chrysopoeia, alchemy in the modern day.....possibly even witchcraft. 😆 Wear all year and anywhere or occasion you like, Lalique pour homme will do you proud. Strangely, I was buying a new Creed fragrance and couldn't decide between Viking, Royal Oud and Bois du Portugal. It was researching and sampling these products that reminded and re-informed me of the apparent likeness between the Lalique offering and the lastly mentioned Creed. I didn't think so at all from memory! As mentioned, when I resampled from the maturation drawer I totally got it, this is indeed similar in many ways. So, I retested all the Creeds alongside the lions head and the only Creed I didn't feel compelled to buy was the Bois du Portugal, as beautiful as it is this hits the mark, for now it seems pointless to spend around 20 times the price for something that will trade punches comfortably. This is perhaps the biggest and greatest bargain in mens perfumery amongst very few I've encountered. They say you get what you pay for! I think that's almost always true but absolutely not in this case. Look at it this way, if it was matured in the factory longer, rebottled with a label from a scent house like perhaps Creed or TF and prices in the mid hundreds, this stuff would be flying off the shelves, I say that with complete confidence. How Lalique utilise such high quality ingredients to produce top level niche perfumery at prices cheaper than the likes of Rasasi or Armaf is insane! Buy it, spray it several times and lock it away for a few months. What you'll end up with is a fragrance that has an aroma and performance worthy of Creed money. (If any fragrance is truly worth these mental prices!) God, I love perfumery. Especially when it's this amazing and accessible for everyone!

The first thing that strikes me is the quality Lalique keeps having for all their scents, regardless of the price range they are in. When you open the box, you will see a bottle of classy and sturdy design that immediately looks and feels nice. The same goes for the opening blast when you spray it on your skin: Many cheaper perfumes are initially a bit harsh, but Lalique homme — as with all Lalique I have sampled — has no foul if fleeting vapours. On the contrary, it starts off well rounded with a bit of talcum that keeps spices, citruses, ambers and wood in check, as if it was something from Xerjoff or Roja that costs ten times as much. Eventually, it becomes drier, but never loses the touch of elegance. It is a style some will recognise from Guerlain’s Heritage or even YSL Opium Pour Homme: A nod to both fougères and chypres from the at least two preceding decades, but more rounded, more gentlemanly, yet not stuffy or old fashioned. Imagine actors of the über masculine kind that reached their 40s in the mid nineties, but who manages to perfectly keep up to the times they live in here and now. They are both looking backwards and forwards and are at the age when humans often excels the most across the many things that makes up a life. If your parents belongs to this generation, I would not be surprised if you find this profile a bit dated. Neither is it among the more daring or exploratory creations around, it was rather a synthesis of the opposing styles that preceded it, blending the morning freshness of the fougères with the more evening elegance of the chypres. Yet it is not common or boring either, I can only think of a small handful of male marketed EDPs that I think properly belongs to this category of allround gentleman scents. As opposed to the mentioned Opium, you can use Lalique pour homme for both work and leisure the year around, where the former requires moderation in the workplace and abstention in hot weather. I would say it is also slightly more versatile than Heritage EDP, because it is a bit drier and more discreet, especially for the warmer season. Tenacity and projection is as expected, not an EDT and neither the beast mode seen since around 2012. For me it was hard to find tests, but with the price it is a safe blind buy. Try out Creed Bois de Portugal and Guerlain Heritage EDP in a store. Imagine something that is a bit fresher and lighter, and you have Lalique pour homme.

Oh Lalique, how I really underestimated you. I left you on my shelf five, maybe eight years - I may have given you a squirt once and didn't pay much attention to you. I thought your bottle was a gimmick, really pretty and like the fine crystal for which you are named, so this morning I saw you on my sink looking pretty and said what the hey its a cool day and I never use this one. Let me give it a spray. I was out somewhere and someone asked me what I was wearing because it smells so good and she was going on and on about it. Having gone nose-blind to it, and wondering if it was the scent on my shirt from yesterday. I said I'm wearing nothing, having forgot about the spray. I rubbed my fingers down my inside undershirt and could smell something but i couldn't tell if it was the soap i had used this morning. I finally hit the right spot and brought my finger out to smell something, wow -- I didn't know it was this good. On the ride home two more people said the same thing to me -- it smells clean and fresh, and so I remembered when I got home and looked at the sink with the bottle on it, I gave a small quick spray at the end of the day. Wow, as the evening progressed I thought how unfair I had been to think it was a bottle gimmick and nothing else. This cologne is certainly something like I have never experienced and the more I am aware of it, subtle that it is, the more I like it. It's strange how a compliment can make you reassess the richness of a smell, but honestly, it made me stop and really take this seriously. Sometimes a woman's nose can pick up things that a man's nose has become blind to with time and I'm afraid I may start hording this scent because as all things go it seems the best scents they stop making or change the formula to. A steal it is in price, and yet it doesnt wear off right away --i'm in bed right now and I can't wait to see if Lalique pour Homme, the Lion sticks around with me all night long. I bet when I wake up tomorrow it will be around still.

Opens with a blast of fresh and aromatic lavender in combination with a floral Iris. The lavender is what seals the deal for this fragrance to be labeled a fougere, while the Iris gives this fougere a modern, masculine take. In the mid to dry down, there is a clean and powdery white musk. In the dry down, there is a hint of amber, and an even lesser woody note, with a very clear Oakmoss. The Oakmoss is what may be giving this fragrance what others are calling “mature” or “old school”, but I think this fragrance is a unique and modern take on the classic floral fougere. The fragrance smells more clean than fresh, if that makes sense. Not super sexy but does garner compliments from the ladies. It can certainly be dressed up for formal occasions, but is also versatile enough for work, casual occasions, and even the gym. The longevity is pretty good! I got more than 8 hours on my first wear. Projection is not loud; however, it is a creeper! If you wear this fragrance in an enclosed space or room, it’ll very soon become noticeable by others. I would still say that this fragrance is office safe. For fougere and lavender lovers, this is a must try! If you like Iris, but are worried about the lipstick note, you need not fret! You can smell the Iris, but there is none of that lipstick smell that Iris is known for. If you are not a fan of fougeres, this fragrance might just be the bridge that would change your mind. But you must like lavender! I would say try it before you buy it, but I had no luck finding this fragrance anywhere in stores or even samples/decants online. I got the 2.5oz tester bottle (74ml) for around 20 bucks on a discount site and it was super worth it! Even the 4.2oz bottles are going for less than 30 on some sites which is too big for me. But If you want to make this a signature scent, it is totally worth it’s salt and them some!

You know, sometimes I really enjoy being part of this community, I really do. One of my favourite things is finding new scents and reading reviews before a blind purchase. Sometimes though I see changes with the reviews here on this site. Some people write novels and essays and I don’t even read them TLDR (Too long didn’t read),and others leave a review that’s negative but don’t properly explain why. Then sometimes you guys just get it right. Sometimes you guys just review a scent so perfectly, and I blind buy and get literally blown away by how amazing the scent truly is. This is one of those times. I picked up this with a small decant of Creed du bois Portugal and this to my nose is 90% close. This scent is just incredible. It does start off like a barbershop scent but that lasts for 15 seconds. Then comes the smoke. What proceeds after that is journey through the pyrimaid in stages. Barbershop, smoke, citrus, flowers, and then I’m left with a beautiful cedar wood scent. Thank you to everyone who left a proper review. You made me a happy man. I can see how the young bucks wouldn’t like this one. It’s a mature scent, but not old man mature, more like a strong burly man type of scent. I picture myself wearing a nice suit and drinking a glass of wine by the fireplace while wearing this. I never give a perfect 10 but I will with this one. -Scent: 10/10 So unique - Longevity: 9/10 Above moderate 7-8 hours - Sillage: 7/10 - Uniqueness: 10/10 - Wearability: 7/10 - Versatility: 7/10 - Quality: 10/10 - Presentation: 10/10 Beautiful lion bottle -Overall: 10/10

If anybody is wondering it's very close to Creed's Bois du Portual... only better in my opinion. I own both and although they are like 90% the same for the first hour. They become 99% the same on the dry down. Creed does last a bit longer on skin. But on the shirt, they both easily last all day. As for the smell, Lalique PH is definitely a mature scent. Not for the kiddies as they say. From the moment I first smelled it on first wearing, I instantly was taken back to a classy old fashion barbershop. However, there is nothing dated about this fragrance. It's absolutely timeless, distinguished, and unquestionably manly. This would make a perfect wedding fragrance for a dad walking his daughter down the aisle. Or a dad standing up as the best man for his son's wedding. That's how classy this juice is. The first time I sprayed this on, my wife happened to step into the room and said, "Wow hon I really like that one." I replied, "What does it remind you off." I expected her to say the Creed. But instead, she replied with one simple word -- 'man.' That's all she said, one word 'man.' Well, that's all I needed to know. Swish! There's a Youtube fragrance reviewer that does an excellent review on Lalique Pour Homme and how it compares to the Creed. Check him out, I think his channel is 'SmellGood' or something like that. He does a much better job than I could expressing the notes and composition of this masculine legend. As for me, it will forever be in my collection.

This screams old money, I'm talking green carpet club house and really expensive sports coat. Lalique Pour Homme (with the lion on the bottle) is the most mature of the Lalique Pour Homme trio, and it is clearly old school cool. This is going to scare away a lot of younger noses who think it smells too "old man," but if you've got the confidence and the charisma to pull this one off, it is very rewarding. The opening somewhat reminds me of the Karl Lagerfeld Photo my dad used to wear all the time. Dry, spicy, and a leather/woodiness that says "I am a grown up and I know it." The citruses in the top are fresh- couple that with the cedar, oakmoss and patchouli base and you have a very bold profile that makes a statement whilst keeping it subtle enough to not sell out. It lasts a good long time and the scent bubble is very comfortable. This will last you through the work day without the need for reapplication. Lalique Pour Homme is an easy wear for the cooler months but one can absolutely push this into the spring. It is not as spicy-sweet as Equus, nor is it as modern as Le Faune, but this OG Pour Homme is a classic to be celebrated by those with the taste to love it. Worth the blind buy if you can dig it. If you can't, you'll need to grow up some more to love it. Also, the late drydown has vanilla in one of the sexiest ways possible. This thing can't miss!

I joined this site to leave this very review, so listen: If this fougere fragrance was a designer brand and $250, I would have bought it. It’s $25... This barbershop scent is GORGEOUS and unlike any other scent at the opening, but more like EVERY fougere mixed into one. It lasts. It projects. It’s classy. Mature. The opening is perfect. However, the dry down smells identical to Creed’s Bois du Portugal (Frank Sinatra’s favorite) How do I know? Because I own it, and spent hundreds on it. I was honestly frustrated. Here’s why: I love the opening of Lalique Por Homme. It’s perfect. Not too powdery. Fresh lavender. Unique. Smell expensive. It’s honestly one of my favorite fragrances and I have dozens. Trust me on this. I gain nothing by this review. I’m not here to be one of those lame “imagine a slight breeze from the east in a wooded grove...” reviews like you’re auditioning for the New Yorker. (No one cares). My frustration is it quickly becomes Bois Du Portugal inside about an hour. I sprayed on both wrists and watched Creed’s stay constant and this become Creed’s scent at dry down. The only positive? It evolves. I can 100% sell Creed’s Bois du Portugal because I don’t need two of these. For 1/10th price? No brainer, and at least for the first hour this is something unique. I almost want to spray, try to wash off, spray, repeat. It’s THAT good.

Timeless Masterpiece: Lalique Pour Homme Rating: ★★★★★ Lalique Pour Homme is a masterpiece of perfumery that combines the classic elegance of a fougere barbershop fragrance with a modern twist. Lalique Pour Homme is comparable to other great fougere fragrances, such as Jaguar Green (more aromatic and fantasy at start), Bijan (more youthful and appealing), Aramis (the master of this genre) and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme/Versace Man (burnt and smoky version, old-man rugged style). However, Lalique Pour Homme has its own unique identity and charm that sets it apart from the rest. The performance of Lalique Pour Homme is decent, but not outstanding. It lasts for about 6 hours on my skin, with moderate projection and sillage. I tried it from a decant, so I cannot comment on the bottle design or the spray mechanism. But based on the scent alone, it went into my buying list. I highly recommend Lalique Pour Homme to anyone who loves fougere fragrances or wants to try something different and sophisticated.

I'm so tired of all the overly sweety, gourmandy, bubble gummy, fruity fragrances that seem to be trending. This stuff is a REFRESHING change of pace on many levels. If this is "old school, barber shop", I say bring it on! It's a great fragrance, fresh, mature and doesn't make me feel like some high school or college kid who's trying to impress his girlfriend who has underdeveloped taste in fragrances. This stuff is quite classy and refined. It may take someone years (maybe decades) to appreciate what this fragrance actually brings to the party and again, it's not for kiddies (e.g. high school and probably college age) or those that only feel comfortable with the safe / popular / boring designer houses. On the other hand, my son loved this sort of stuff back when he was in high school, but he wasn't your average kid... I LOVE Lalique fragrances. They seem to not give a hoot what the crowd thinks and they just put out fragrances that are high quality, unique and distinctive. The fragrance industry needs more designer houses with that mentality. I'm also a BIG fan of the entire Encre Noir line and much of their other stuff as well. Lalique Pour Homme overall rating: 8.75 / 10.00

When you are at peace with your grey hair - be it a few hairs or a whole head - rawr with the Lion! This is for the solutions oriented guy. He flashes a smile but isn’t smiley by nature. Never late on a bill or to an appointment. Never raises his voice. Drives a nice accord or Jetta or something. Shops around for auto insurance. Possibly has a dope mustache but no beard. Style is dated but not out of date. He doesn’t give a shit about your style. He wears this to work & when he takes his nephew to football games on brisk saturdays in the fall. Open is loud & 1993 barbershop in the winter. Are you choking young man? 10min later The lion settles down a bit & you can drive home with the windows only half way down. By the time you are home you are bursting with that big wood energy. Masculine & unapologetic, with a touch of flowers & vanilla. Sillage is leeegit both in flavor & trail. 2sprays to each collarbone & I project pretty well for 2+ hours & I can pick up my scent without trying all day. This is cougar bait. Price & bottle are amazing, blind buy 100% if you like barbershop scents. If you don’t like it when you first get it, try it again in 10 years

#368 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Everybody wants to smell a dupe in every Arab scent. This isn't a dupe of Creed Bois du Portugal. Not even close. The Creed scent is a great scent that I've sampled, but this is so much better than that scent. And whoever the one person is who thought this was Cuba Platinum, which is barely a scent for ten minutes. Get your sinuses checked. But those persons who were reminded of Bogart Homme, you are correct sirs, it's as a close as close gets! Compare the notes! But would anyone clone a $15 scent on purpose? I don't know. I think Bogart Pour Homme deserved an EDP version Bogart never produced. "Bogart Pour Homme." "Lalique Pour Homme." I think they telegraphed it. Anyone who's used Bogart Pour Homme knows it's a great scent and mourned the fact of its EDT performance. If Bogart Pour Homme was available as EDP in strength it would never have left my shelf. But their loss is Lalique's gain. This scent fills that space in my heart handily. A little bit of the nineties? Absolutely! But the good parts. Nirvana, not Courtney Love. Cool weather scent. Date night for sure. Office wear for senior execs, not interns.

As for me, on initial spray a get mild citrus: bergamot and maybe just a tiny bit of lemon. But the star of this show is the powdery lavender, and I do mean powdery. The heart of this composition is dominated by three things: musk, powder, and lavender, while soon after the opening, I can already start detecting the labdanum base. ( I am not suggesting that this smells like Chanel Egoist (the old original), but I am saying that the tobacco accord from the labdanum feels like it is working the same in that Chanel,, just milder here than compared to the Chanel. For the old Egoist, the labdanum is front and center. Anyway, on the far dry down, I absolutely detect the IBQ leather compound which comes across as a little rubbery. IBQ (isobutyl quinoline) when smells right out of a bottle smells like a rubber tire. Here it is done well though, it's just a faint hint at the far drydown. It's quite a gentlemany fragrance with quite soft projection. A classic, but not in the vein of polo green classic, or the heavy animalic classics (no strong honey or animalic base here). Quite like it, but I think for someone 35+ , easy work scent.

Fantastic fragrance. Classy, elegant, timeless, and beautifully blended like PH Equus. I also saw this on Fragrancenet for around 28 dollars and I blind bought this. For the price, it is absolutely worth it. 28 bucks for a 4.2 OZ bottle is well worth it. It is such a beautifully blended fragrance for less than 50 dollars. Unlike Equus, this has more iris, vanilla, oak moss, and more of an earthy smell. They kind of smell similar, but Equus is more fresh, woody and balanced. But the OG Pour Homme is more earthy, irisy, and earthy. The performance is kind of the same with Equus. Around 7 hours with a medium projection ( on my skin ). This has a good wearability, I recommend this for the winter, spring, and fall mainly ( it's a little bit polarizing in the summer ). You can also wear this in the day and night for sure. That makes this fragrance decently versatile and wearable. Lastly, is it a safe blind buy? For sure it is. If you like Bois du Portugal by Creed, I'm sure you will like this. After VC&A Tsar got discontinued and only avaliable for those who reach their shop in Paris, I went looking for a similar fragrance (that didnt cost 160EU) and found that LPH could be it. Blind bought an EDT bottle after reading couple of reviews and it smelled exactly what I was looking for - a green, woodsy, mossy and clean scent that was versatile, non-offensive and long lasting - and that was on point. As the EDT made me happy already I decided to get an EDP bottle aswell and after wearing both a couple of times I found out that they are in fact very similar yet somewhat different Having a look at the bottles side by side you notice that the juice on the EDP is a bit darker With the EDT I got a nice 9 hours of longevity and with the EDP... Well this one lasts. It gets well past the 12-hour mark on my skin and for me, both had a pretty nice non-offensive projection It's definitely not a scent for the kids but anyone with the right personality can wear it. LPH is a very versatile fragrance that can be worn all year long and pretty much for any occasion as long as it's not scalding hot.

I have this fragrance for more than a year. First spray was ok and somewhat weak. But after a while it started to spread its wings. So, maceration works with non-oriental fragrances too. Today I am wearing it and it's gorgeous. I think the best season to wear it is spring and autumn. In winter, it seems not so strong and in summer is too cloying. As for the smelly part of it, I'm not a connoisseur so here is my description: it's for men, no unisex nonsense, it's classy and for dressed up occasions, its office safe if not oversprayed, its mature, like 30+, its somewhat green and woody and cozy, I don't detect any sweetness, its somewhat discreet, it will not appeal young females, excepting the ones with daddy issues, who are looking for a mature partner, to solve their self-esteem problems. If you fit the above description, it's for you. If you are looking for compliments or something to attract young females or go to the club, look elsewhere.

Well, let's talk about this Lalique: my version is the EDP and it’s about a strong and masculine fragrance. Also, I can say that it is classic, refined and powerful. Starts a little bit citrusy, but you can notice, since the beginning, the vanilla + jasmine notes. It is necessary to give it the proper time to grow on your skin. Then, like 30 minutes later, it becomes another fragrance, creamier, virile and seductive. In this stage of evolution, the iris + jasmine notes are beautiful and noticeable. Sometimes it reminds me of The Dreamer, from Versace. Other times, reminds me of lots of other colognes, because it has that singular style from colognes that have oakmoss. That's why I could not consider it a "woody aromatic" fragrance. For me is more like a "aromatic fougere" scent. The power? The sillage? The lasting? ABOVE ALL EXPECTATIONS! PS: it is better if worn in cold weather or evening events.

I like it! It's super aromatic in the beginning. I think that's a lot of rosemary? It has that herbal feel to it. Anyway, really fresh off the top. It dries down into a nice lavender+vanilla combo, lightly powdery. Super pleasant. But! As almost everyone here says ... it's mature-smelling. I feel a little too young to be wearing this, but I don't mind smelling a bit older or whatever, because that dry-down is really nice. Actually, the opening is the mature part. The dry-down is a bit more youthful, but still not 20s youthful. Not a safe blind buy! There will be plenty of guys who think this is way too old-school smelling or mature smelling for them. Test this out first. The comment of "Smells like your dad in the 80s" is very fair, and so if you aren't into classic masculine chypres or whatever, then probably not for you.

EDP. This is a perfect fougère. Citrus, herbal, woody, mossy, bitter and green, yet a little bit sweet and powdery. The drydown is superbly clean, soft and dry. What I really like is how the slightly herbal bitterness keeps it from becoming sickeningly sweet like so many other men’s fragrances that overdo it with vanilla and amber. A perfect balancing act. Although it does resemble Creed BDP it’s not trying to be BDP, and it smells equally as upscale. A solid blind buy for me with no regrets. Although I do prefer Creed BDP, I’d never pay hundreds for a watered down reformulated version of it. Anyone saying this smells too “old man” or “too powdery” is oblivious to the quality of this and are missing out. Lalique Pour Homme is simply an outstanding value for what you get and you can’t go wrong for $30.

This is a best buy fougere fragrance! If you want to see what barbershop scents smell like, start right here. Great performance as well. I grabbed this because it was similar to Bois du Portugal which I sampled and loved. Its really hard to find a bottle of it, so I grabbed this instead. I ended up getting a 30ml yesterday and I will compare to this and report back after a couple months of letting this Lalique sit. I find that with cheaper fragrances, they do best after sitting for a few months so I don't want to be too quick to judge. I am a firm believer that companies shouldn't release something if it needs time to rest if they want to avoid bad reviews, however when you charge $20 for a bottle, who cares! Blind buy safe 8.5/10. .5 extra for the cheap cost. Will update with BdP comparison soon.

My collection is over 60 bottles and hundreds of samples. I've smelled 1000s. Lalique Pour Homme EDP is in my top ten, easily. It's a masterpiece. LPH is sophisticated, stately, and timeless. It's warm powdery and old school woodsy, and very much a kind of "refined gentleman" type of scent. It's not in keeping with current trends and most definitely will not be to everyone's taste. So this is not something to be worn for the sake of compliments, and some may even perceive it as being "old man." But let me tell you: it's "old man" in the same way that, say, Chartes Cathedral or St. Peter's Basilica are "old fashioned." Just because something is evocative of a previous era does not mean that it's not majestic today. The more sophisticated can distinguish between timeless and dated. Anyway, 10/10.

the lavender is perfectly mixed with all the notes despite being a Fougere this perfume is timeless. one of the few first perfumes to ever own which got me into it and still using it as a signature, a gem in a bottle, as simple as that. Maurice has created a magnificent agape love in a bottle type of a scent. 2023 Batch very good performance, and the scent here is so tenderly calming and very welcoming inoffensive gives me about 8-10 hours trail is moderate, fits almost all occasions, all weathers if I could describe it in one word it would be "Agape" my mother also adores it and always loves smelling it on me so that's an S tier. This sauce showcases what vanilla can be in a masculine aromatic, balanced against some softer woods. It isn't sweet, and it isn't dry, but instead operates in a lovely limbo, a scale balanced to the micro-gram. Nobody is going to be gobsmacked by your aroma, but instead you'll walk by and the people in your wake will merely feel uplifted, and they won't necessarily know why, and those positive associations become glued to you, so that people are predisposed to smile when they see you coming. They won't know why they like you so much. It is that elegant and just that lovely. If this scent didn't exist, someone would have to create it, because in a universe of cloying garishness, it is essential that one can dissent with a fragrance that garners attention with a resolute subtlety.

Ok so i have to start by saying that I am a big fan of clean barbershop type fragrances. And this definitely delivers at a very affordable price point. I instantly get azzaro pour homme vibes but a bit more potent definitely not kick in the balls like kouros but presence. It starts off dry crisp, lavender and oakmoss heavy. Good quality ingredients and no heavy alcohol smell present at all. Does not develop immediately and does not reveal layering or complexity early on. After a short while it gets powdery, think iris and the aldehydic fresh note starts to blend in and fade nicely. Some nice uplifting green notes develop and they are supported by the amber, patchouli and sandal in the base. This will be one of my go to's from now on

Another perfume that performs distinctly on blotter and on skin. On blotter the citrusy and herbal notes are prominent and persistent and it's almost sweetly juicy, green and cool, while on skin it's floral, powdery, warm and nostalgic (well, it's 26 yrs old after all). All the notes are beautifully blended. During the drydown, I get more sweet sandal aroma than the listed oakmoss. Good performance and longevity. Both formal and casual. Unisex (a bit leaning to masculine). For all seasons, but best when it's cool. Perhaps for people of similar ages or older. The powdery facet from the iris, rosemary and vanilla may remind people of cosmetics popular more than two decades ago. I should've tried it MUCH earlier. It's a gem!

This is a fantastic old school gentlemanly scent. Younger guy won't appreciate this scent but I love this juice. This smell a lot like Creed Bois Di Portugal but this one more floral, soapy, and powdery than that one. Bois Di Portugal is more woody and dense but this is a nice alternative to it. I was surprised at how many compliments this garners from people, especially younger folks, with it being more of an old school gentleman's fragrance but it does. If you like gentlemanly, classy, masculine, or old school fougere scents then this is the way to go. Also if you really like Bois Di Portugal from Creek and don't want to spend the money for it then this is the best cheap options out there with fantastic quality.

My word, this is good! I totally get the 'this is a mature scent' comments but, if you want to smell good, whatever your age, this is the juice! Wonderfully Warming Woods. Awesome Airy Aromatics. Zingy Zesty Zitruses! This is a well-rounded complex yet comforting fragrance which can only be considered masculine - there is very little unisex-ness here! It could be considered 'mature' because it doesn't fall into that recent trend of making everything overly sweet. There is very little sweetness in Lalique pour Homme. What you get is a smouldering herbal woody bomb which would suit any occasion. I must admit I'm loving Lalique mens fragrances at the moment. Great glassware too. Well done chaps!

Lalique Pour Homme (Original Lion) I’m referring specifically to the original first release here. This fragrance is a hidden gem, especially considering the price point. It carries itself with a quiet sophistication and timeless elegance that’s hard to come by these days. On my skin, it performs brilliantly , both in terms of longevity and projection. It’s even more impressive when sprayed on clothing, where it seems to linger beautifully without being overpowering. It’s one of those scents that consistently draws compliments. There’s something about it that feels effortlessly classy, yet approachable. For me, it’s become a go-to when I want to feel put-together without trying too hard

Yoooo! So I was going to order a bottle of Lalique per Homme (Lion) to gift my uncle for his B-Day bc I know he'd freakin' LOVE this scent, but darnit if it's not now SUUUPER hard to find! I checked Google which states that its been discontinued and that although Lalique's website still has old stock available, its been "Phased out?" Now, On the net its nearly impossible to find unless its a used bottle, and although I did find it on Walmart's website its over $60 for one 4.2 oz bottle and theres ONLY 2.bottles left! Anyone.else have better intel they can share on this? I cannot believe Lalique would trash this amazing fragrance! Somebody HEEEELP! LOL

So I got a new bottle, 2024 batch. You guys wanted "nuclear", "room filler", "monster longevity and projection", "eternal"?! Buy this! Don't think too much. Projection: easily 3 large rooms Longevity: 3-5 years on plastics and concrete This is... pure warfare tactics, in a bottle. 10/10 for a vintage Lalique EDIT: - NO! This is NOT Bois Du Portugal. That is highly refined and still relevant in 2026. - This has nothing in common with CHANEL Pour Monsieur... that one both EdT and EdP are also very relevant and not dated, refined. This one is heavy, strong, pungent... in the way of an elegant old man would punch. A heavy punch!

I got a large bottle of this off a discounter for dirt cheap. It smells great. Citrusy opening, an incredible iris note, and a nice woody base. Incredibly versatile fragrance, this would be a great signature scent. EDP concentration is lasting over 12 hours on my skin. As many reviews below have noted, this punches FAR above its weight. If you're a man comfortable with wearing powdery fragrances, I'd recommend picking up a bottle. EDIT: Longevity is insane. I can smell this on my shirts after doing laundry. In fact, it'll even make my laundry smell like this fragrance. Actually crazy performance for such a cheap price.

Wow. My bottle of the EdP is dry and rather serious, but classy. Doesn't shout, it speaks softly but very distinctly. It's a gentleman. Nothing casual or fun about it but if you're of the frame to wear this, you're probably not in a fun mood. I won't wear it unless I'm also wearing a necktie. No, seriously. It just doesn't feel appropriate otherwise. Best part is, after several minutes on me it begins to resemble a very unexpected cross between Moods by Krizia and Valentino's Ocean Rain, and there can't be many (if any) can pull off that trick. It's fast becoming a favorite. Recommended? Oh, very recommended. Wow.

after spraying the perfume on my hand, I immediately realized that I already smelled this combination somewhere. I started sniffing my perfume bottles trying to remember what this perfume reminds me of, and bingo!!!! Azzaro Pour Homme L'Eau with more spice. I was almost disappointed, because for the first 3-7 minutes this perfume smells almost identical on my skin, but later the smell started to change, sweetness appeared, and strangely enough something sour came out :) after half an hour on my skin it still reminds me of Azzaro Pour Homme L'Eau very much though, Lalique smells much sharper. i like it :)

Really like the smell. Borderline metallic citrus with some nice florals, woods, a little gummy amber. Clean. Old skool, obviously. In my case it will be there to scratch much the same itch as Dunhill for Men. Hopefully in the right weather it'll have better longevity than that. Very inexpensive. #ThoughtsAndPrayers go out to those who find it hard to smell something mature--OK, old skool--without feeling as if they're being held hostage in a nursing home. If the dry-down's too much, maybe try walking through a moderate mist of the stuff and see whether that doesn't help thin the powdery florals out.

Well, hello there LPH! Where have you been all my life? I have sought you out in various ways, places and personalities. I finally found you thanks to Mr. Smelly (Dan Wilson) and I am indebted to him beyond belief. True to other reviews on here, the initial blast is very reminiscent of Bois du Portugal by Creed, but it doesn’t stay there. It transforms into a beautiful cross between a fougere and a chypre with a delightful drydown. This is safe for any setting and season but not for gents under 30. This is a gentleman’s fragrance.

For me, Lalique Pour Homme is truly one of the finest classic fragrances of all time. It carries that unmistakable barbershop vibe, quite similar to Drakkar Noir, but in a far more refined and luxurious manner. While Drakkar Noir feels bold, energetic, and assertive, Lalique Pour Homme is elegant and effortlessly sophisticated, like a textbook gentleman: simple, yet profoundly charming. It’s an extraordinary masterpiece that offered remarkable quality at an accessible price back in the late 1990s.

Shaving foam, towel, clean shirt, soap, morning breeze and a pack of cigarettes freshly unsealed. This smells like a spring sunday morning in the 90's before going to church. Damaris shaving foam, actually. And a pack of red L&M. When I wear it, I let the ladies know that everything's under control. Quality fragrance, 5/10 for me ( it's like a good dad joke but still a dad joke). Medium longevity, medium to little sillage and projection, not a good bois du portugal replacement.

I did not like this fragrance at first. Smelled like soap, string soap. That said, I've given it a few more tries and my nose has adjusted and I can smell the floral and green smells much better now. Very serious scent, probably only good for an office fragrance but it's a great one for sure. Very inoffensive and doesn't project too strongly. It will last the whole workday so that's a plus. The drydown is a powdery, sweet scent that my partner likes so that's good enough for me

EDP (lion). Classy mature scent, I love everything about this. A fresh citrus opening gradually drying to to oakmoss, spicy, slight vanilla note. Great longevity on my skin. It is it's own scent, I don't care about comparisons to Creed or anything else. To label this as a barbershop fragrance is too simplistic. Not a safe blind buy as it probably won't appeal to many younger men but I will always have a bottle of this. I paid £23 for 100ml which is outstanding value.

On my 2nd bottle after... 15 years or so. First bottle broke in my garage and, the smell stayed there until I sold the house years later. One word: NUCLEAR I do not know and I don't want to know, what Lalique used in this but careful with where and what you spray it on because IT WILL STICK there FOREVER A clean perfume but somehow dated, a bit too bitter and hard for ke to find a situation or time to wear it. Beside this, 10/10 Lalique quality.

EDP is the designer version of the EDT. Softer, sweeter, weaker. Similar scents but they present differently. EDT - Loud rosemary oakmoss iris cedar fragrance that dries down and adds some vanilla and sandalwood. Very good projection & longevity. Fresh. Old school. Niche. EDP - Soft vanilla rosemary woody scent. Florals and oakmoss turned way down. Vanilla and maybe benzoin turned up. Less projection and longevity. Warm. Comforting. Versatile.

Such a banger. I’m 26 and generally not a fan of vintage type frags. I do not find this vintage/grandpa smelling at all. Maybe not super youthful where it’s loud and sweet ash. This is a relaxed scent. Hard to describe but what comes to my mind when I smell it is peaches or maybe apricot + wood. Kind of odd combo but it works so well imo. Nice quality unique scent plus bad ass bottle and super cheap price? One of the goats for me

This is a man’s scent, a scent created for the gentlemen. A striking herbaceous and powdery woods with slight citruses in the opening. This is beautiful and timeless at the same time. If you’re fed up with the generic overly sweet vanilla frags and need something different but still modern in a way then go for this. I love this stuff. This reminds me of MDCI Invasion Barbare, but with a more tender turn in the end. A clean, flowery, soapy scent with a rigid woody base. It stays discreetly close and around you without offending anyone but still makes a statement: that of a gentleman who is sure of himself and knows about good living. Boys, please stay away from this and go on to use your AXE like cologne. You still have a long way to go!

Considering the price you can pick up a bottle for, this is a no-brainer classic masculine fragrance. The quality of the juice, and the bottle itself, make this worth every penny. Sure, one can argue it's a bit dated, but you don't wear this scent to be trendy or cutting-edge. If you like fragrances like Nicolai New York or Creed Bois du Portugal, consider this a blind-purchase bargain.

I did not like this at first. That was earlier this week. It quickly grew on me. I don't think it's particularly versatile but I'm going to experiment a bit. Definitely seeing this being good for the office. I'm getting citrus and rosemary, which is supported with the woody and green scents. I got a solid 9hrs from this and the sillage is not overwhelming. I would recommend this.

If this was ever discontinued it would finally get the love it deserves. Sometimes things are not appreciated until it's gone. Just like a true gentleman Lalique Pour Homme (Lion) will never go out of style. It's the scent of class worn by men known for their strength, loyalty and humbleness. You know, the confident but quiet man in the room not to be fucked with. The Lion.
