Leather Copper

This is a very nice soft leathery fragrance. It's of type of leather that it's great on its own without masking it with fruits and burying it in syrupy sweet goo. It's delicately and nicely crafted to make sure it won't offend anyone. On me, silage and projection are just average. I would have liked it to be a bit louder but still love it. Rose is nearly undetectable and as others suggested, this leans masculine. If you are a leather lover, this can be a blind buy. My only issue with this line of Lalique and not just this one is their atomizers. They all come with very low quality atomizers. They create small powdery clouds. If they fix the atomizers on these bottles, everything else is great. They come in beautiful packagings and great looking bottles.

(26M) I think the scent is quite challenging, not a mass appealing fragrance. It opens unisex with apparent flowers but it dries down to a masculine leather focused scent. The leather to me is the kind of petrol/(black)peppery leather, not a sweet/smooth/ambery leather. I think most women would have a hard time pulling this one off. Even though the leather note is a bit challenging the overall scent is quite smooth and elegant. It's meant to be inoffensive. I'm impressed by this line by Lalique.

Likeable chypre; the opening is spicy and citric but not overwhelmingly so, becomes floral and leather-like, but the leather is so soft and buttery, almost like suede. It's easy to wear, suits either a casual or more formal setting. Can be worn all year round, could get away with this on cool summer evenings. I find this projects very strongly on my skin, it's been a few hours and it's still going strong.

Like everything in this collection, the fragrance is quite abstract and I find it difficult to identify specific notes. That said, there is soft leather and labdanum with white florals. It's warm, soft and unique with fairly soft projection (inoffensive) and good longevity. Unisex. Mood/Setting: Watching a modern ballet with friends, white shirt and navy chinos

Lalique - Leather Copper It is somewhat astounding that this juice has been out there for 4 yrs now and this is the first review here. Anyways... Quality-wise, Lalique lives up to expectations, this is a one of its kind frag. As for the name/scent, I am a bit perplexed, my nose does not detect notes reminiscent of copper, or anything metallic for that matter. If we think of aromas like TF Ombre Leather, MFK Godolphin, or Mancera Oud Leather, the word leather seems to be a bit of a stretch here. The best I can give is perhaps a very subtle, polished, and most of all, understated suede note - white suede, I would add. As a man I feel comfortable wearing it, even got an unsolicited compliment from my barber (guy), but it needs to be stressed here that Lalique Leather Copper bears no resemblance to any traditional leather frags mentioned above. It is a cosy, refined, tranquil scent avoiding the limelight, but providing a reassuring sense of cleanliness and feel good factor. I would say it is an all-rounder, however performance might need to be boosted by a few extra spritzes in colder weather. This juice is totally unisex, and would be an absolute head turner on ladies too. I might also add that the frag does not take after anything I know, but this is kind of a given with Lalique. Not sure how long this collection will linger around but if you like the house and up for some refined subtle fun, plus manage to catch a deal like I did, I suggest you go for it.

A very elegant, easy to wear, ambery fragrance, prominent labdanum with a very soft velvety leather that's not harsh or animalic. I can say it's a similar leather as the one used in Armani's cuir amythist. All of the above is softened by the floral notes but that doesnt take it into a feminine direction. It's perfectly unisex to my nose. Its a pleasant blend, classy, clean, velvety, elegant, easy to wear, none offensive. Its bright and warm at the same time which makes it a beautiful wear in a confused wheather, good for spring and maybe cool summer nights, early fall as well. What makes it unique is the velvety feeling it gives you, and that no particular note is sticking out, wonderfuly blended, and smells like nothing else I know. Performs like most lalique, a bit over moderate.

This is my third purchase from the Les Compositions line by Lalique. I also have Oriental Zinc and Chypre Silver - I love them both. Leather Copper feels like a companion piece to to Chypre Silver in that it has similar vibe - elegant, well-blended, easy-to-wear and very classy. Its almost like they created a base and tweaked it to create a chypre and leather on either side. That might sound negative, they don't feel duplicative, but its like we have your favorite sweater or jacket in different fabrics. This is a very soft, luxe leather - nothing like a Knize 10 type-leather. The prices on the discounters are good, and they're all high quality buys.
