Louxor de Lalique

I was most fortunate to have purchased this *LALIQUE* Limited edition 2007 Louxor crystal flacon from a fine eBay seller recently, the bottle is absolutely stunning holding 230 mls of the eau de parfum "Le Faun" that is coloured a feint mauve/light purple, the juice is gorgeous and is classified as a fougere fragrance displaying top notes of mandarin & bergamot with lavender taking control of the floral componentry while other note worthy inclusions are sandalwood, patchouli, tonka, vanilla & white musk the sum of these parts collide to create a complex eaux of unparalleled beauty. It is the tonka extract that sweetens the composition in my humble opinion, also this rich hesperidic fougere is of a very high quality as one expects from the perfumers @ Lalique and a total joy to wear, mainly day time although it can be worn at anytime, I find it very versatile as well as being refreshing it is a gr8 pick me up at any hour of the day. I'm so glad to now have this bottle in my collection of Lalique crystal, every aspect of it's manufacture screams luxury from the stylized black tipped palm fronds on each clear glass vertical wall to the heavy round precision ground stopper, it's so easy to decant into a smaller vaporisateur for ease of use, the price was rather hefty but then again one must expect to pay for an item of such explicit luxury & scarcity, I am so very happy to have pulled the trigger on this beauty as this model is becoming harder to find in good/new condition, both bottle and stopper bung are hand numbered by the factory artisan & sits splendidly in it's hard board coffret box, no expense spared by the house for this offering, again a truly magnificent piece by LALIQUE!!!

I love this one. Juniper berries and mandarin are for me the most dominant notes and wow I love it. Unique. Masterful. The scent is quite fresh citrusy at start and you can totally feel there is something coming up and man there is! The juniper is within 1 hr totally taking over and the heart and base of this is just stunning. I get 8 hrs of this with a projection about 1 arms lenght.

Louxor de Lalique is a premium limited edition glass flagon containing the fragrance Lalique Pour Homme Le Faune. It's a pleasing scent, but in 2026, any bottle you buy (limited edition or not) is going to be over a decade old. I don't know if that impacts the performance or if it's always been a little low in terms of longevity, but I get around 3 to 4 hours on skin. What you pay for is mostly the beautiful glass vessel containing a long-expired fragrance that was discontinued a long while ago. Following this paragraph is my review of the fragrance itself, which can also be found on the page for Lalique Pour Homme Le Faune. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I happened to nab a collector's flagon from Jomashop for a shockingly nice price, complete with the authenticity card and everything. Decanted it into a sprayer and I've worn this a few times. This takes a very different direction compared to Equus and the original Pour Homme with the lion. Le Faune feels much more youthful and modern. The entire trilogy is kinda like traveling through time, I feel like Le Faune gives Y2K vibes for some reason whilst Equus takes it back to the 80s/90s and the lion takes it further back to the 60s/70s. Le Faune is much sweeter than its older cousins, much more modern. I don't believe this is worth the price folks sell it for on eBay, but if you can score yourself a good amount for a good price, you have no reason not to complete the Lalique Pour Homme trilogy. The sweetness on here is dry and tasteful, perfectly complementing the vetiver/woodiness. I believe anybody of any age could rightfully pull this off. Jack of all trades that would work during most times of year and for most situations. I like it, but I don't love it the way I love the other two. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ The glass flagon is very pretty with a fern motif running up and down the bottle. It's worth noting that there is no rubber gasket on the stopper, it is direct glass-to-glass contact. Be very careful when replacing the stopper on the bottle so you can ensure it's a tight seal. You don't want a leak oxygenating the already ancient ichor and furthering its long-past expiration. It would be wise to decant a small amount and then store the rest in a cool, dark place where it will be safe from the elements.
