Lumière

This one is for Saffronlovers. A bit sweet I guess its the mix with Jasmine and Tubereuse, I also det an airy cashmere wibe. A true beauty, an unisex towards female wibe.

I adore this! I wish it was more accessible. Lumiere opens with lush and creamy jasmine that is contrasted with a potent almond-licorice combination. This produces an interesting mix of bright, waxy, womanly floral and dense, delicious gourmand. It's a very warm and round scent. After several hours, saffron shyly peeks out. I appreciate its sharpness, as it brings complexity to the sweetened jasmine. Tuberose is very subdued, but it occasionally contributes a certain vegetal muskiness to the jasmine. Though not listed, a warm neroli also appears now and again, though jasmine is always at the forefront. I can catch vaguely cedar-like, woodsy, almost masculine musk in the deep drydown. Intensely pleasant, and yes it does smell as opulent and luxurious as the bottle looks. The gold tones of the bottle and the name Lumiere suit it well, because Lumiere really does have a beautiful radiance to it.

Stunning Jasmine! Nutty, chewy and dense. I get a fuzziness when I smell close my skin and that also when the mandarin is amplified. Mostly I pick up on the saffron and the almond which reminds me of BR540 Extrait but here with the jasmine and licorice it’s almost gourmand leaning. I have the entire collection (stunning flacons) except for Hirondelles- a gal can wish though.

a rather insipid floral chypre that quickly falls into overly sweet almond notes...I have the impression of smelling something badly composed simply there to fill the bottle.

High pitched white floral, tuberose and jasmine with a heavy dose of sweet almond and very dense, chewy patchouli...I get very little cashmere and saffron. This is a little bit heavy in the patchouli and white florals. I feel it is a little bit cloying and have to be careful to avoid over spraying. The drydown is much nicer and enjoyable. It feels very natural and high quality but you must love high pitched florals and patchouli.
