Soleil Crystal Edition Extrait de Parfum

Price tag is $28,000 for 1,500 ml’s??? If you divide this amount for at least 10, it means each portion cost is $2,800 for 150ml bottle. I understand the value of art sculpture made in crystal, and perfected by hand, but I can't understand how customers can be charged so many times more for the same fragrance. I paid for my original Soleil bottle less then $70 and can't be happier about that. Price jumped high due to new hype about new release... It is just an other marketing trick.

Notes are exactly the same as the original perfume. Just checked it. Whether it’s more intense than the og I don’t know, but by changing the concentration of the ingredients I’m sure they could’ve made it more intense. For the price they better have made it way more intense and long lasting but still I don’t understand why so expensive. Probably you mainly paying for the bottle. I say give me juice and you can keep your expensive bottle!

Lalique is primarily a glass art designer, so this extrait is not really targeting perfume lovers so much as crystal and glass collectors. You are 100% paying for the crystal bottle with this extrait. Lalique’s vases and such usually run for tens of thousands. If you just want the perfume, go for the original soleil. Considering Lalique’s typical price points, it’s a steal.

The exorbitant price on this is mostly due to the fact that it’s a limited edition piece made of hand blown pure crystal with 23.5 carat gold accents. It’s also 1500 ml of extrait. And only twenty bottles of this were made, hence the €25.000 price tag.

@cv : This is an « extrait », a perfume extract (high concentrate perfume). This is why the price is higher (like every perfume extract). If you look at the bottle it doesn’t have spray.

Since the notes are the same as the original the higher price may be because this fragrance has crystal in the name. This bottle could be made with a more expensive crystal.
