Absolue 6AM Rose

At the first breath, this fragrance rises with lily-of-the-valley, clear and ringing, as though a little bell of spring were set trembling in the pale air of dawn. It is softened by May rose, by that noble Rose de Grasse, lending to the tender greenery a quiet sweetness. The lily is granted fullness and depth, unfolding without haste, and with it comes the illusion of morning coolness, of petals bent under silvery drops of dew. For it is, after all, six o’clock — that solemn and innocent hour when the day has only just begun. The rose enters gently, modestly, without command or clamour. She is truly a morning rose, a maiden in her very first day of bloom: delicate, sweet, luscious, unspoiled. The lily-of-the-valley lends her its youth and grace, and together they sound like two kindred voices, tuned to the same tender key. Then jasmine appears in small golden sparks — sunlit, playful, a glimmer of laughter upon the air. I cherish this reading of rose and jasmine: here they are unexpectedly shy, youthful, almost chaste, unlike in so many other perfumes where they speak of ripeness, experience, and ardent desire. “Absolue 6 am Rose” does not boast a labyrinthine or exotic pyramid of notes. Its architecture is simple, almost disarmingly so, and to most — even to those who are not worshippers at the altar of scent — it feels familiar, close, understandable. Yet in this very simplicity lie its true beauty and quiet charm. The fragrance is light and merry, but never childish; bright, yet never crude. Its voice carries well, with a clear aura that surrounds the wearer. For at least four hours it sounds with confidence, before softening, slipping closer to the skin, where it lingers another four or five hours more — now a confidential whisper, intimate and inviting to those who dare draw near. It is a remarkably versatile companion, fitting for any hour, any season, any setting. Even beneath a tropical sun it behaves with dignity, turning heads for all the right reasons. In warmth, the rose grows juicier, stepping into her full bloom, yet she never suffocates, never pushes aside her floral sisters. This is a classic European rose, not of Damascus, not of Taif, nor of distant China. She is the rose we remember from childhood: the one that climbed in front and back gardens of cottages and town houses, bright and pleasing to the eye, calling us closer to breathe in her fragile perfume — and, if fortune smiled, to steal a blossom as a keepsake of a fleeting, golden moment.

This is heavenly rose- someone stopped me on the road to ask what it was! It bursts fresh but not overpowering, a scintillating wave around you and into your nostrils. The Jasmine comes much later for me, as if to say I am also around. Yes it’s pricey and there are many rose perfumes out there but if you like your roses first thing in the morning while the dew drops are still on the petals, then this one is for you. If you like powdery roses then perhaps no. I love it - but then again Dominic Ropion is my favourite ‘nose’!

06. October 2024 I have smelled the whole range of these rose centered fragrances (the Absolu range) and this one partuculary is my favorite (apart from 1001 rose in a new re-release AGAIN!). I fully agree with previous reviewer that all the "reminds me of" suggestions not correct at all. There is different one in this line that smell like YSL Paris (cannot remember name of it now). 6am rose as suggests the name is very realistic fresh garden rose. It opens up really nicely, but then jasmine takes over, so it is not as rosey, as i would love it to be. Especially for the price of 275euros for 100ml, excuse me, whaaat? The bottle even not as special, as previous collection of "exclusives", i mean... it is just a very plain bottle with sticker and price is much higher than before 8From 195eur in 2022 to 275eur in 2024). Performance wise it is not good, lasting power is ok but only ip to 3-4 hours. It performs better in cold, than in the warmth, i must say. I say its an actual rip off. Some many more of beautiful rose fragrances are out there, with lower price and better performance. Its a pass. The whole collection is a no go, sorry Lancome, you are not getting any of my hard earned money. Even my mom, who is not very much into fragrances, but like a scent of rose said that it is not worth that money, even though she likes this one as well.

I had the chance to try today the entire Absolue Les Parfums line from Lancome, and from all of them, Absolue 6AM Rose it’s my favourite. Has an intoxicating mix of dark deep, rich rose and a massive amount of jasmine. As far as the lily of the valley goes, I can’t detect it in the slightest! So, if you are a fan of rose and jasmine, Absolue 6AM Rose it’s delightful! Not so much the price of these... The entire line is super expensive, most of the scents are resembling to fragrances already available on the market, and in some cases, for more affordable prices! Absolue 6AM Rose does resemble Chloe’s Chloe Eau de Parfum, maybe with a bit more depth and increased sillage. I really like this perfume, but I have already two of the Chloe roses in my collection that are kinda the same juice. If you’re interested in this, be prepared to splurge on it!

A rose at six in the morning, a flower beaded with dew, slowly awakening. Absolue 6AM Rose captures this fleeting moment. The opening is a breath of fresh roses - pastel pink, airy - flirting with a hint of jasmine. As the fragrance evolves, a lily-of-the-valley accord and a delicate musky base enhance its floral purity. Absolue 6AM Rose is for those who love natural, fresh, delicate, and romantic roses. It’s a lovely scent, but the price is steep for something so simple, however charming it may be.

Simple and pretty. For those who like florals, this would be a pretty wedding scent for a spring wedding. You must like Lily of the Valley though, as that note is prominent.

To keep it simple, this one smells good, and I want to get a full bottle. ya'll are too wordy.

Unfortunately, the name is misleading. This is not a naturalistic, dewy-fresh, rose scent. ...but much more unfortunately still, the notes are all too accurate: rose + white floral + a truly wretched mueget accord. It is mostly this badly blended mueget, that ruins 6 AM Rose. Making the overall combination overly sharp, nose-curdingly sickening, and just rancidly 'off'. This is the kind of rose-floral scent that gives rose-floral scents a bad name. F.Y.I.: 6 AM Rose is also entirely linear. It does not noticeably change, except of course, for growing weaker with time. ...Okay, deep in the drydown the white floral note does dominate more. N.B.: There is an odd note facet here that reminds me of blue cheese, more perceptible on the blotter than on my wrist. Ironically enough, it is also the most amusing aspect of this foul formula. Natural oud can somtimes have such a note, but here it has doubtlessly arose by some other means.

I adore this. I love Lily of the Valley and Rose notes together. Very pleased that the Jasmine was used judiciously to where it didn't overpower the muguet because it is a delicate note. Jasmine can overwhelm very easily and with this fragrance it does not. The fragrance sits intimate to the skin. At first, I wished the projection and sillage were greater, but then I began to realize that this fragrance is truly one for the wearer to enjoy rather than announcing to everyone it's there. My favorite time of day to wear this is at bedtime because the notes are so relaxing it's almost aromatherapy that helps me get to sleep. I read another review which was not positive but that may be due to the person's chemistry. I personally think it's simply beautiful.

This is a wonderful Rose fragrance, in the beginning it’s quite sharp but in the dry down it smells super sophisticated, classy and expensive. It gives me Maison Margiela “up at Dawn” vibes, it is the same scent genre but 6 am Rose is more intense, i still prefer Up at Dawn 😅

Love this one and nope it doesn’t smell like Paris, elle, anais or the miu miu people voted. It has Chloe vibe not exactly the same but very similar

This perfume reminds me of escada especially.
