Aroma Tonic

For nostalgics like me, everyone here writing "I wish I could have this again!!" Listen... I was sampling body mists at DM (dm-drogerie markt) in Trieste (Italy) looking for an alcohol free one to spray on my hair in summer. You won't believe it but this French brand, Corania France, has a body spray that reminded me immediately of Aroma Tonic! It's not listed on Fragrantica, as it's a hair & body spray, it costs only 10 euro approx. Give it a try and thank me later! Les Brumettes - The Blanc & Osmanthus (this line has only three fragrances, Cerisier, Vanilla and The Blanc). Body Mist The Bianco, 250 ml It disappears in 20 minutes but it's delicious, almost like the original one. WHich makes me think that Lancome could truly bring it back. I hope they do!

This is since it came out MY FAVORITE FRAGRANCE, it smells so CLEAN, fresh, like in heaven it must smell like this i guess :) Gives you a great positive mood, smells so exklusive and unique, it was love at first sight... You can use it all over the body, because of the ethereal oils, it`s a aroma-theraphy on your body!!! You are sad or pessimistic?? Use it, it`s a medicine, gives you new fresh energy and makes you thankful... It`s absolut for spring and summer, i love wearing it when i am on the beach, just Aroma-Tonic, the ocean and me... Thats all i need, hopefully it is long available, when they take it away from market I AM LOST... PS. I have 4 Bottles in "resource" in my bathroom - i never did something crazy like this before with any fragrance :D

I loved this scent years ago and remember spraying myself daily as I walked through Hechts...yeah Hechts, to get to my job at the pager store, again yeah pager store lol! I loved the invigorating tonic punch it gave and it was a precursor to my signature scent DKNY women, which is very strong and citrus too but with a vodka punch instead of tonic. If you love this scent you should get the DKNY summer scent from 2012! It immediately reminded me of this long lost scent. I searched and low and behold-it's the price of gold now!!! Plus, why even get the last bottle and prolong the suffering!

Please Lancome.. bring this beauty back! We don't care for the millionth flanker of Idole or LVEB... we really are sick and tired if those.. Please, drown us with refreshing, uplifting scents like Aroma Tonic! I can't see how this wouldn't be a massive crowd pleaser and a massive earnings booster for Lancome. Everyone needs such a pick me up in the morning! I've worn this for years, i had the entire bath line- i adored a spray body moisturiser that kept the scent all day long. Bring this back!

I wish that any of the fragrances in the "reminds me of" section even remotely reminded me of this, because I've tried most of them, and they really don't. This perfume is very close to my heart because my mother wore this in the 90's, and to me, it embodies her love and the womanhood that I aspired to. Other green tea fragrances just don't have that gingery kick, and the slight spiciness. It was really unique. I would love to smell it again just once.

Through like an insanely convoluted series of events I have found myself with a full bottle of this and I am in looooveeee it is the PERFECT light and fresh green scent. It is soo bright and energizing without being in your face about it. The fact that like every review for this hypes it up is completely justified. It really is that good. Fearing the day when this bottle runs out and I will have to hunt another down on eBay

This is one beautiful memory! I never actually bought Aroma Tonic, I had planned to get it one day and then it just disappeared... Shame on me!:( But in one of the biggest shopping centers in Warsaw they use a fantastic air freshener in the corridors leading towards toilets, which smells quite similar, so I'm at least left with a chance to smell a hint of my long-lost favourite...

This was such a perfect splash of a summer scent and I wish I could find something similar now! Warmed me right up and was zingy in all the right places. Definitely did not last but man, I loved spritzing this everywhere and enjoying it while I could.

Oh how I miss this one! They need to bring this back! I cannot find a replacement, there was really nothing like it out there. Something about that lime and ginger...so good! SOB! Why did they let this one go?!

I also missed this on. I have seen it in the duty free james richardson this week. The formulation seems to be the original one. This is a truthly lovely scent.

One of my old favorites! Definitely smells like B&BW White Tea and Ginger - though I think that too has been discontinued :( Can anyone confirm this?

I love this. it smells so fresh and conditions and perfumes in one. It is a shame it's discontinued so now I wear it sparingly on very hot days.

If Lancôme already ignores our pleas to bring it back, why doesn't one of the Arab houses make a good dupe of this?!! Only fond memories.

I love this one, no one bottle can replace this because it's my first perfume.

It's about a zillion degrees today (with humidity factored in...) in the greater metropolitan Boston area: the perfect occasion to review a few cologne-type/body treatment frags! Lancome AROMA TONIC is, let's just get this out of the way, misnamed. This is *not* a "tonic" composition--certainly not according to any ordinary interpretation of that term, and least of all in the sense of "bracing" or "brisk". There is no citrus slap in the face here, such as one finds in fullfledged citrus aromatics properly classified. Nor are the ginger and cardamom dominant notes. AROMA TONIC is nonetheless a very pleasant fragrance which I like a lot. I can only hypothesize that this light green tea composition failed in the fragrance jungle red-in-tooth-and-claw because when people purchased a "tonic" they were looking for a bright burst of wake-me-up citrus. Or perhaps something as stimulating as Clarins EAU DYNAMISANTE. Conversely, anyone actually looking for a soft and natural smelling tea frag would not have thought to purchase something with the word "tonic" in its name! AROMA TONIC is a fine green tea fragrance, produced during its short market life only in cologne concentration--hence the low longevity. On a day like today, it evaporates in a matter of minutes, leaving only the subtlest trace of resinous green tea behind. Ironically, I find this scent quite calming, imparting as it does a zen-like sense of equanimity!

I adore this scent and I've been salvaging the mini bottle I have. It didn't help that my sister accidentally tipped the bottle, spilling half of the contents on the floor. It's an energizing fragrance of citrus and tea, with a little hint of spice from the cardamom. It sits close to the skin and it doesn't last all that long but it's a good pick-me-up. To me, there's something quintessentially "French" about this. This is a perfect scent if you wish to spruce up a bit on a holiday during summer. It's a scent you go for when you want to be perceived as if you have effortless glamour. I wish I could find something close to this because it's not an easy fragrance to find and it's been discontinued here.

This was so good wake up fragrance, ultimate power-freshnes by ginger and green tea. The showergel merely was strong enough for give good sillage on skin for hours. That I woud say exceptional. Luckily I never get that cardamon note, cause cardamon and me are not friends in perfume, we play together nicely only in food...

This is still available in Switzerland at least.It is a really nice, perfect out of the showerfresh scent, however it is very weak in sillage and longevity. But I guess it is supposed to be sprayed more liberally but count that into the price/value comparison. I will try to do more testing with this in mind.

Hello N@ncy In my opinion Aroma Tonic is very similar to Diors 'Escale a Pondichery' which was released last year. They both contain the Tea and Cardamom notes so i think it will be a good substitute for you, hope this helps x

It was a gift. I did not purchase it for myself and I would not. Smell was good, energising, fresh, but it's not a perfume. Perfect for summertime.

I wore this back in my high school years, absolutely loved bathing in this lol. I miss it so much. While other girls wore perfumes from bath and body works and VS, I was true to myself wearing this scent even if it was not trendy. I still remember why and how I came upon this perfume. I had received a sample of chanel mademoiselle, I fell in love with the romantic and spicy aspects of it, but it was way too much for everyday use, so one day at Dillard’s I asked a lady working the perfume counter if she could help me find a spicy but refreshing perfume, we tried so many but it wasn’t until I sprayed this one that I knew I’d found what I wanted. I was one of those girls, not popular, but one who wasn’t afraid to be herself, my interests were in the arts and music. I would wake up early, curl my hair, do my makeup, iron my clothes and spray myself with this before school. It was a very energizing scent, I remember the citric lime smell, green tea, and of course the spicy part I mentioned. I haven’t been able to find something to replace this since it was discontinued, but if anyone knows of one similar please let me know. Thanks! I found Elizabeth Arden Green Tea at tjmaxx for $12 decided to try it since some of you have said it smells similar. It definitely smells very similar, almost identical but it's lacking more of the spicy feature that aroma tonic had. $12 for a bottle of nostalgia, definitely try the elizabeth arden one because it's very close in my opinion. Oh how I wish Lancome would bring this back!

I loved this frag when it was first introduced and subsequently saddened when it was discontinued. I was thrilled to just find out it had been rereleased even though it has come and gone again. And I was ecstatic to get my hands on a couple of small bottles only to have all my delight shattered. This is not the original formula. I was wondering why many of the reviews referred to Aroma Tonic as a tea frag. The original had only one top note - LIME. It was the very best citrus frag I have ever encountered. Now sadly it is a tea frag and not a very good one at that. It smells exactly like the auto spray I have for my car. I wish Lancôme would rerelease the original formula.

I have had this body treatment fragrance in the past and I am pleased to say it seems to have come back into fashion, as it was hard to get hold of recently. I tended to use it as there were no showers at work where I could get refreshed after riding my bike there. Besides the obligatory anti-perspirant and washing my face I used the tonic as a substitute for a shower at work. My work colleagues loved the smell and so did I. It refreshed me perfectly but nothing beats a shower, obviously. I will buy it again if I come across it.

Just got a decant of Wulong Cha & immediately ordered a bottle. Upon initial spritz, this took me back to this scent, it is very similar. Has anyone else gotten their nose on this one & thought there was a striking resemblance?? I'm going to see how it dries down & how long it lasts, but so far, so good. If it remains this wonderful, I will be ordering several back up bottles as I'm so tired of my fav's getting d/c.

...for me indeed the best of the four "aromas" that time...this green one! but: in the meantime it is discontinued. just now Lancôme launched two new aromas: blue and also green here in Germany. however, the scents have been changed, they are completely new. the new bottle has a "taille" and it smells really different. I am really sorry to say (once more concerning a lot of other beautiful perfumes...) BYE BYE :-((

A mini of this scent just arrived. AT isn't really a perfume, it's more of a body splash. Sillage and lasting power are almost nil. The fragrance is green and slightly spicy, very pleasant on its own but gone in a moment. Maybe it lasts longer on other people, on me it didn't. What's the point of having a fragrance that doesn't even last a minute? This one's going up for sale.

This is the greenest green fragrance what i have ever smelled. It is really fresh and green + little bit sweet and spicy. When I wear it i feel like after 2 cups of very strong coffee-it is so energising. Dominant scent: green tea, i feel something bitter (like Schweppes Kinley Tonic water)and ginger. pretty good for spring or summer for sporty girl/woman.

I really hate the new aroma tonic. you can absolutely tell that they used cheaper ingredients for this: The package looks cheaper and the scent is horrible, i really sense the cheaper ingredients in the dry down. Please can someone tell me something that resembles this???I love this style of scent, fresh, energizing not overpowering...

Aroma Tonic,what is there to say - refreshing yet calming spicy yet clean fabulous why oh why don't they bring this back! I found a unisex scent that comes close to aroma tonic which is Thierry Mugler Cologne by Thierry Mugler, by the way I have yet to find one other TM or Lancome fragrance that I adore or even like so there ya go.

woody and peach made it smell very close to preserved prunes. Seconds after, tea note and rosy note diffused. It makes me realize how yummy myself could be, and after that I feel very touched... I like this fragrance, as much as o de lancome. Sweeter and definitely smells more expensive than Elizabeth Arden Green tea.

From my point of view the best tea scents on the mass produce market are made by Bvlgari, and created for them by Mr. Morillas like Omnia Crystalline Bvlgari. Cheap alternative not listed in this database is The Bath and Body works White Tea and Ginger, New alternative: White Tea Ginger Lily Elizabeth Arden.

Smell exactly like Wulong Cha but much weaker. Just to compare, this would be the EDC and Wulong Cha would be the Extrait of the same fragrance. So if you want this smell back, do not pay the insane ebay price, go with Wulong Cha.

I saw this on a site that carries Discontinued fragrances. The site is called JADE Renditions. And I am sure there are other sites that carry Discontinued fragrances, especially ones so popular as Aroma Tonic!!

I am desperately seeking a substitute for the original Aroma Tonic, preferably one that has greater staying power than AT ever had. Plan to try Bath & Body Works White Ginger and Tea. Any other suggestions?

Love this scent, and have just found a site called Fragrance Revival. They duplicate discontinued scents, including this one, so I've just ordered a bottle. Here's hoping it's as good as the original!

Wow...this is an energising body treatment fragrance! It smells divine and is very fresh,lemony fragrance perfect for summer months,meant to tone your skin.

I love the scent, it takes me to a long trip to America ten years ago!! Too bad is discontinued.

I soooooo wish I could get my hands on a bottle of this again! Absolutely Adore It! ✨
