Idôle Now

Wow - what an unexpected treat. - For me, it's classic Idole plus the lovely bits of “Nectar” and at least some sparkle from the ‘Aura’ flanker, a kind of “best of Idole” longplayer 😉. Playful, heartwarming and charming at the same time, it manages to retain a cheekiness and a youthful touch, but also a summery laziness that is really - sorry - sexy: lying in a rose garden in the late afternoon while the sun melts the sunscreen on your warming skin, thinking about all the wonderful experiences you had last week on vacation with the love of your life... 😅🥰. Okay, let's talk about the scent: it starts like the original Idole - roses, jasmine, juicy pears, but develops different layers to match the color of the bottle: Something like orange and orchid/dark lily, and of course something sweet (vanilla). But the most beautiful thing is the “aura” - there is more than the notes reveal and more than the parts you notice when sniffing up close... some musk in a “your sun-warmed skin-but-better” kind of way, or even a reminder of your loved one's embrace - a really cute way to use musk. And there was one note I couldn't name, but today I recognized it clearly: Apricot! And all that comes and goes glittering and mingling ... oh, Lancome - how dare you surprise me? (I'm not normally a fan of L'oreal...). Really well done. The whole thing is more than the sum of its' parts.... I love it and wear it liberally 😂 for aura's sake.... and I must confess: Maybe it's a simple pleasure.... but... these are the joys of democracy.... finding the pearls that everyone can afford. Here we go again, the self appointed perfume connoisseurs are at it again...leaving hateful comments such as "I had to wash my hands so many times" "I had an allergic reaction" " I had a miscarriage because of how horrible it smells" "why would anyone buy this?!" "I can't even use it as a freshener in my bathroom" "horrible and smells like the floor of a department store" "Generic meh" "I had an internal brain hemorrhage because my brain cells are telling me it smells nice but I have to hate it" LMAO.... This one takes the cake..."it's too perfumey" LOL well you are smeling a perfume...I would be surprised if it smells like gingivitis (i.e. rotten eggs) and these are the same people that are into their niche fragrances that smells like no where near pleasant. It's like they have been programmed to hate what's loved by so many just because they want to be SPECIAL. Just because you can afford a laptop doesn't mean you are an expert in fragrance. If you don't like it, then just say "it did not work for me" periodt. Idole Now is a creamy vanilla rose scent. I enjoy it mostly during the early morning spring day when the sun is just breaking through the sky. It is a happy scent and makes you quite cheery! It's not trying too hard but just an overall wonderful fragrance. I spray this before going to bed at times and the silage and longevity are quite amazing. My kids and DH will always know I am around when I wear this xo

I really don't get how this has so many bad reviews...I guess everyone's nose & body chemistry does work differently. But impo this Idole is my favorite so far, this one & the original. I will say I'm an IDOLE fan! So beautiful, long lasting, projecting, ultra feminine scents! Plus i get mad compliments anytime I wear an idole variation. This one is so sweet, soft, yet strong,feminine, & long lasting with great sillage. I def get mostly a creamy & rich vanilla orchid for almost the enirty of the scent & the sweet vanilla secondary, with a hint of fresh sparkling rose(i think most ppl arent recognizing the vanilla orchid and believe it as rose) Absolutely beautiful imo. This one is much sweeter, has almost a powdered sugar like scent in it & you get the ultra sweet rich orchid & sweet Vanilla, with a little rose as stated above. Idk something about it just draws me in. I instantly bought a FB after skin testing this. The original is more of a fresh, citrus, soapy like rose, also gorgeous but this one is sweeter & I feel it could could work in all of the seasons. While the original really only works well in summer & spring. This is honestly like a mixture of all the idole's lol has the warmness from the intense, the fresh rose from the original, and the sweet Nectar like scent from Nectar. I think they did a great job...but I see my opinion is different from others, so in that case I highly suggest testing this one.

So I got a sample and from the very first try, I love it! I don't even know what does it smell like, it's not that typical rose smell, nor too vanilla like, maybe it's the orchid that is so intense in this, I'm not an expert, just rating for fun. It's not cloying like LVEB, for me there's a hint of freshness, I dare to say a unisex twist. When I first tried it, my cardigan projected it for days and I couldn't find the source of this great smell, then boom, I remembered the sample. I have a hard time talking myself off of buying it and I'm pretty sure I will fail and buy it anyway. It's radiating clean, well groomed vibes without asking for too much attention. On skin, it stays for about half a day I would say, on clothes it's almost eternal. Goes well with my grapeseed oil soap's scent after a shower and even with my body lotion too. My finacé likes it also, more like LVEB, that one is great too, he said, but can be too much. We have a thing about connecting fragrances to certain nostalgic feelings or movie/show characters and this is our "First Order" perfume, fiancé said "this is the kind of perfume you would wear on a FO ship as an officer". So now when I spray it, for a moment I imagine Hux strutting around the ship with this amazing smell.

I love warm, spicy, amber, vanilla perfumes, typical fall-winter scents, but every year comes spring, and then summer, and then my favourites are just too much. The need to tone them down arises, and the treasure hunt begins. A couple of days ago I was at Sephora, saw Idole Now, and decided to give it a try. At first nothing new, it reminded me of Idole Nectar (that I like a lot, btw), but after a while, with vanilla, it became quite ozonic, a beautiful summer note emerged and stayed for long. The next morning it was still there, charming, light but present. I also received a lot of compliments by perfect strangers in a shop. That's a bonus for sure. For reference, the day was pleasantly warm, 28°C, and the perfume was right, not too much, not suffocating, not heavy, just a beautiful floral (and I'm not a floral person). Lancome is mainstream, yes, but even if I prefer something more particular (I'm just discovering Xerjoff and Casamorati), this is quality, long lasting, and maybe what I need in this season. This is not a new perfume, it is a flanker, obviously made to sell, but on my skin is good, right for this season, so who knows? Maybe a 30ml can be on the way.

"Now" has a warm rose, vanilla and a, surprisingly, citrus note. Now has surprised me a lot about its longevity! It might be the best one in this Idole series. It lasted more than 12 hours on my skin! When I have tried Idole now, it reminded me of Nectar which is my favorite one in the Idole line. (Other Idole perfumes are boring for me. They lack of sparkles!) I haven ́t bought Nectar yet. It has a strong warm smell which I might not stand trying on in a hot Summer time. I also I have enough Winter perfumes. Now would be a nice choice if you considered Nectar to be too warm for you. As this perfume is less warm than Nectar, if you ask me, Now has good versavility. I would use it the whole year even on a hot Summer day. To sum up, it is the best one in the Idole line for me because of the longevity and the versavility with my favorite Nectar vibe. It has only a 3.41 rate. It is an underrated perfume. I cannot understand why people do not rate it higher. Some people said that ̈Now ̈ is not a superb name. Do not be fooled by the name. Just give it a try. If you like Nectar, you will like it!

I love this so much more than the original Idôle mainly because I don't care for a pink pepper note in fragrances, so I'm happy that Idôle Now doesn't have pink pepper! Also, this doesn't contain any patchouli like the original Idôle and I know many people struggle with wearing patchouli. The original Idôle has lots of rose, pear, musk, and jasmine. Idôle Now isn't a solinote rose perfume, but it focuses mainly on the rose with the addition of vanilla and orchid, whereas the original Idôle has more going on. There's nothing wrong with having more notes and I know some people prefer to have a perfume with more depth. As with the other Idôle fragrances, this is a modern, fresh rose that's slightly powdery/velvety like the feel you get when you touch a rose petal. I reccomend this!

YES @loveleen! The dry down on this 100% reminds me of Burberry Her and all the different BR540 variations. I’m not a fan of either of those but Idole Now has a saltiness to it that I love, even though I know that salt is not listed in the notes, and that it’s actually in the notes of Idole Aura. Men in particular always shower me with compliments when I wear this. I wore it today and some guy told me “You smell like a real woman” lol. It’s just a very clean, sweet, floral, pretty smell. I love this one wayyy better than the original. To me it just has weight to it, if that makes sense? And don’t get me started on the sillage. It literally trails me for yards, and lasts all day. Love!

Now and L'intense are my favourite idoles. This one is incredibly strong and to my nose, it's a gourmand leaning fruity-floral. Enormlus sillage too! There's just no way the ones listed are the only notes. I detect pear, magnolia, a hint of rose, vanilla and maybe a popcorn accord. Sweet but not too sweet! It's got a little bit of woodiness to me nose too. Not a basic designer at all, i really haven't smelled anything like ot. Not to mention the ammount of compliments this gets!

Literally every time I wear this, MEN compliment me the most. This is my second review because it really is just that good. I wore this today and first put it on around 7am, I spray on my skin and clothes. Around 6pm I was at Home Depot and a cashier was telling me how great I smelled almost 12 hours later. This stuff lasts FOREVER and it lingers in the air even after you leave the room. Is it a groundbreaking scent? No. But it’s done very well and performs amazingly!

No one is surprised that I am a huge fan of Idole and all of its flankers, because they are long-lasting, intense and incredibly delicious. This one, in my opinion, is a bomb! It is the most similar to Idole EDP, but this one is more intense. An extremely beautiful, feminine, rich, elegant vanilla rose perfect for autumn and winter, super long-lasting and, without a doubt, a magnet for compliments! I love it so so much! I will definitely buy it again and again.

This is my favorite flanker of Idole! What a masterpiece; a beautiful deep red, jammy rose - think grown-up Princess Belle in her castle - meets a touch of enchantment and mystery/muskiness from the orchid - all those old books and dark woods surrounding the castle - my favorite rose scent. If you're looking for a sweet but mysterious red rose - look no further! It is being discontinued however - so get it wherever you can find it cause once its gone its gone!

I absolutely adore this perfume and I'd say it's probably the best in the entire Idôle line, or a close second to the original. I've been wearing it almost daily for the past 2 weeks and the longevity is incredible. The scent still somewhat lingers on the shirts I've sprayed it on even after doing laundry, which is impressive. The rose-vanilla blend is really elegant and absolutely not in an old-fashioned way. Will definitely repurchase once I run out of it!

I had no real love for the original Idole fragrance so I was hesitant to try this one. While fragrance shopping, I caught a whiff of the saleslady wearing the EDT and asked what she was wearing; I was pleasantly surprised. I cannot get enough of the sticky, sweet, boozy rose note in this fragrance. And the grown-up vanilla in the base just rounds it off beautifully. I feel so sophisticated and outstanding when I wear it. A potential signature scent!!!!

Idole now is my favorite in the range. The blend of soft rose and smooth vanilla makes fragrance that’s both elegant and alluring. It’s sophisticated yet effortlessly sexy—a scent that never fails to turn heads. I’ve been wearing it since 2023, and I always get compliments. Its longevity is impressive lasts for 6-7 hours, while the sillage is perfect—noticeable, but never overpowering.

I just love the entire idole line -- although I wish this one was more groundbreaking or complex it still does a wonderful job and fits into the line well. The freshness from the rose is maintained here and it gets me compliments when I wear it -- this is closer to Idole Nectar in its sweetness and brightness.

There are many Lancome fragrances I love including the original Idole fragrance, and this Idole Now! It's a beautiful and rich sweet and floral fragrance with notes of vanilla and rose, the sweet vanilla note is especially prominent in this. It's so strong and the longevity on my skin is very good.

This has become my new favorite at the moment. Even though with the vanilla, I can see myself wearing this during summer months. It's sweet, fresh, and elegant. It reminds me of paco rabanne olympea aqua legere. They aren't too similar but if you love olympea aqua you would also love this.

I don't like the original Idôle but live this new one. It isn't listed, but on the initial spray, I thought it was lychee and peach? This then dried down to the rose and orchid. I have that kind of skin that fragrance never usually lasts on, but this one did actually hang around on me.

This smells nice, but I don't needed. There's a dupe brand that has a take on Idôle the OG, - Prime - I think 🤔 and instead it smells exactly like Idôle Now. I want a black bottle, they should make an Idôle Midnight and then a red bottle Idôle Rouge... 😜
