Idôle Peach ‘N Roses

What a beautifully bright, uplifting scent, especially when compared to some of the heavier floral perfumes out there. It’s definitely a fruity floral, but it stays fresh rather than becoming sugary or cloying. The peach note is definitely the opening star. It’s very prominent at the start, smelling like a fresh, ripe piece of fruit rather than a candy. It mixes perfectly with the rose, which comes across as still being out in the garden and covered with early morning dew. The pink pepper is very subtle, but it adds a tiny bit of a sparkling, zesty edge that keeps the scent feeling lighthearted. I also really love the red berries because they come across so bright and pretty, giving the whole fragrance a juicy, cheerful energy right away. Such a beautifully vibrant tone that keeps the rose from feeling flat. The vibe is very energetic and happy. It feels like the kind of scent that matches a sunny personality. It’s a bit of a lighter fragrance in terms of performance, but it projects nicely for the first couple of hours, then it settles down into what feels like a powdery soft floral. I find that it lasts about four or five hours on my skin before I feel like I need another spray to bring back that juicy peach opening. Perfect if you love a fresh peach, and a rose that isn't too "perfumy" or stuffy. I'm usually not a fan of the Idôle's but the last two have been so pretty to me!

An unexpected obsession in spring time. Upon looking at the bottle I thought "not for me" as I don't gravitate to fruity-dominant perfumes. My suspicions were heightened after the first spray, as it opens with the intensity of a jar of peach compote your Gran made over winter in the village house. Sticky, sweet, synthetic! However, the aggressive Peach note rapidly settles into the ever so lush Lancôme Rose, and once the Berries on top let up so does the jammy smell! The end result - The Idôle Rose in purest form! Unveiled by Jasmine, not choked by Woods and no artificial Vanilla. A crisp, realistic Rose note makes up the vast bulk of this composition, and I have no complaints. How I have dreamt of the same Rose that is in the original EDP and all flankers, but stripped back with no co-acts. In a twist, the peaches themed Idôle ended up being the one. The Peach note softly adds a powdery texture and a juicy nectar to compliment the Rose's musky and sweet profile, while the top fruits contribute a fresh and bright energy to the scene. Uncomplicated, clean, sweet and oh so Rosy, with decent performance for an EDP. This scent is a wild Rose set free to a background of ripe summer sweetness, an absolute essential for me.

VERY vibrant and pretty! Lancome should have named this Roses 'N Peach instead though, as the rose is far more prominent than the peach IMO. With that being said, both notes are fresh and realistic. The rose isn't heavy or dated, and the peach is reminiscent of sniffing ripe, freshly washed peach skin. Also, don't be put off by the pink pepper note if it's not one of your favorites, as it adds some subtle zestiness and isn't in-your-face. I actually love how it's used here. I agree with others who've stated the peach note becomes even less noticeable as the fragrance dries down. It's disappointing given how beautiful it is, but the dry down is still sooooo nice and enjoyable despite not being anything groundbreaking. I personally like this flanker the most out of the entire Idole collection, and I'm quite pleased with the travel size I blind purchased. :) ** Update 1/8 - Wearing this again today due to how much I'm enjoying it! It might be winter here in Pittsburgh, but I'm in the mood to smell like a beautiful, breezy spring day. Haha! My only big complaint is that I wish it was a bit stronger and had more projection. Highly suspect I'll still buy a FB once my travel size runs out.

I’ve been looking for a non-screechy, juicy yet fresh peach fragrance and stumbled upon this Idole flanker. The opening was stunning - fresh, juicy, realistic peach that immediately uplifts and brightens the senses. I’m fortunate that the peach lingers for a while on my skin, but the rose certainly comes through and embodies most of the fragrance, turning it into a fruity floral with a classic designer profile. But it’s not a matronly rose; it’s a bright, young rose that keeps you sniffing for more throughout the day. I ran several errands after trying it out in store, and a man called out to say I smelled incredible. Of course, we shouldn’t buy fragrances just for compliments from others, but it’s a nice plus! I layer this with Kayali Eden Sweet Peach to add a sweeter, candied peach note and it’s the perfect combination - one spray of PR on each inner elbow and back of the neck, two sprays of ESP on each inner elbow and back of the neck, and a mix of both on my clothes. This creates the perfect scent bubble that lasts all day. So excited to wear this throughout the spring and summer!

I see so many different takes on this perfume that I advise you test it yourself to see if you like it or not. On my skin the peach is very realistic & fresh. I don’t get a syrup peach, nor is it artificial. Instead it smells like a freshly cut perfectly ripe peach. It’s actually really delicious! Then after about a half an hour or so it starts to tone down a bit, leaving a soft, fruity trail while the rose starts to take the stage. The rose smells fresh, like in a garden, and gives this perfume its floral vibe. Rose perfumes tend to feel dated or mature, but here its soft and perfectly balanced with the peach. The peach never fully fades, giving this perfume a juicy, really fresh vibe. There is only a little sweetness so if you’re looking for a sweet or gourmand perfume, then this is not for you. There is only a little bit of sweetness from the fruit, if it actually defines as sweet... I actually hate peach perfumes, but this one is so well blended that I’m actually gonna buy a full bottle. It’ll be my first Idôle too. 8/10
