Idôle Power

This scent is pretty, feminine, powdery, and satin-y. My sister got a sample of it in the mail and both she and my mom aren't too big on it— they think it's pleasant but perhaps a bit too powdery for their own liking. Yesterday when the sample arrived I sprayed some on the back my hand, thinking it would be gone within two or so hours, but even after some hand washings the scent remained for over five or six hours. It has a really clean factor that is more 1950s vanity dresser than soap-and-water. There's something rich about this scent that isn't overly sweet or sugary. In fact, I have a hard time detecting any real sweet-tooth aspects at all. It's versatile in the sense that the powdery vibe could suit both mature or youthful scent lovers. The woody note is pretty mild and doesn't have any masculinity like other wood notes tend to have. I'm honestly having a hard time detecting the apple note, it's just not there for me at all, I'm actually getting more of a very faint raspberry if anything. It's not exactly my personal style but I can't deny that it's a pretty beautiful scent!

Lancôme Eau de Parfum Intense has become one of my absolute favorites. It opens with a juicy, fresh fruity scent, slightly tart and sparkling. Fans of Delina La Rose will probably like it too. Those who liken it to Guidance Amouage – definitely NOT. Guidance is one of my other favorites, but the only similarity is the creamy woody accord. 🌹

I have a small sample of it, tried it and it's a big love at first sniff. I only own Idole Now which I like a lot as well and I can only compare it to that. I like this one much more, the rose here is dialed down, it's more woody and warm. It starts with mildly spiced green apples although spices are not listed, the rose is somewhere in the background, discreet, then it gradually becomes this very creamy, warm and luscious scent (that's the sandalwood), it retains the mild spiciness which is so nice. It reminds me of Versace Crystal Noir. If you like Versace Crystal Noir, you will like this one. It's extremely well blended, warm and addictive scent for me. I am wearing it now, it's frosty outside and it's absolutely shining. Definitely on my list for a big bottle purchase.

I absolutely love wearing this fragrance right after a shower, and sadly I've already finished my tiny little bottle. I really hope to add it to my collection when the colder months arrive. It has such a beautiful rose note that it makes me feel incredibly clean and comfortable. The feeling it gives me is almost dreamlike like falling asleep with rabbits inside the hollow of a tree. Some rose fragrances remind me of traditional Turkish rose water, but this one definitely doesn't. Instead, it feels like freshly washed bed sheets, clean pajamas, and soft slippers after a long day. It's also a very safe choice if you're looking for a gift for someone you truly care about. Elegant, comforting, and easy to love. So excited to try Idole Aura also 🪷

I love this perfume! I smelt it today and I have to say I was really surprised how much I liked this scent especially regarding the reviews here. This smells nothing like apple to me (luckily). It smells almost peppery to me. A very winter scent. It's very nice. I'm surprised people were saying it has that alcohol body mist type smell, I disagree. A lovely scent. Woodsy, almost like incense. Long lasting with the perfect amount of sillage, which I find with most Lancome perfumes. I wore "La Vie set Belle" all throughout college and all of my friends lovingly recall that when they would hug me that it was so nice. Hopefully when I invest in this perfume people pay me the same compliment. A must buy for Winter.

This was love at first sniff😍. I have never tried any of the other Lancôme fragrances, but I saw this on display at a fragrance counter and decided to give it a try. I sprayed it on my hand and I kept getting whiffs of it throughout the day and fell in love. It lasted all day even with multiple hand washes! The apple note that I picked up initially is not a sweet and juicy apple, but a sour (in a good way) and tart granny smith apple straight from the apple tree. It then settles into a wonderful blend of creamy sandalwood and rose. In terms of performance and longevity, this fragrance is a beast. This fragrance IMO is perfect for all seasons. I will definitely be wearing this a lot! 100/10 🌹 🪵 🍏

Normalmente odio las rosas . Las rosas frescas con mucha carga de almizcle no las tolero . Este perfume tiene algo especial que me hace amarlo y creo que es el sándalo tan cremoso . Esa nota de pomarose que hace que el perfume huela todo el tiempo entre acido, dulce pero lo justo . Lo huelo y siento una rosa super madura que esta bañada de muchas cosas lindas rosadas y cremosas . Huele taaan femenino . Un perfume que lo veo para casi todo porque es muy versatil , menos para El calor profundo pero después lo veo para toda ocaciones. Una duración de mas de 8 horas y una proyección de mas de 2 metros por unas 2 o 3 horas . Y estela total . Para mi un 10 de 10 .

This is like 10 times better than any Amouage or this kid of parfume. I understand that some perfumes, like Portrait of the Lady Frederic M., are considered very well-known and great, and deserve their accolades (and the price, too). I can't understand how something like Dalina or this line has garnered so much attention. Okay, Dalina is okay, but I don't understand the fuss, and it's very overpriced. I think women are doing this with their hysterical attitudes, driving up prices for something that really isn't that special—for example, hairdressers... but that's a different story. This perfume is amazing for its price and lasts all day! Bravo, Lancôme.

I don't believe that there's only three notes in this fragrance. It's far too deep and complex. I know this website does not always list all of the correct notes. However, there's no doubt that this is a woody rose BOMB. It lasted literally days on a shirt I sprayed only one small spray on casually at my local Ulta. That one tiny spray lasted and carried such a heavenly fragrance! I actually kept the shirt beside me later just to smell that scent waft through the air! Such a welcome change in a desert wasteland of scents that last no more than a few weak hours with poor projection. I will be getting a bottle of my own very soon!

this one is BEAUTIFUL! it's different from other flankers in this line, on paper or clothes it smells a bit like Zadig&Voltaire "This is really her" because of that cold, woody part, but there's more sillage in it and it's a bit warmer. It's still sweet and rosey, but not cloying at all. for a second there it reminded me of the sadly discontinued "dahlia noir" which i could never get over. It's modern, adult, classy, feminine. I don't like how it smells on my skin, feels a bit moldy but i guess that depends on your skin so better try before buying.

Initially I had ordered Idole Now and I received Power as a sample. Now I regret buying the former and not this perfume. It is shampooey, in my opinion, pretty strong, but not overpowering, nor is it room-filling or monster sillage, no, it is a moderately strong, spring fragrance, suited for more elegant occasions. It is sophisticated. I can't detect the notes of roses, but overall, it is very luxurious and nice. It isn't sweet, like many from the Idole range. It is interesting, a little bit reminding me of notes from Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana

I have yet to test it on my skin but on paper this was beautiful. It’s the least like the original Idole, it’s a darker, woodier version compared to the solar rose of the original Idole and my favourite, the intense version. This is more suitable for nighttime wear but it’s also perfectly wearable as a daytime scent and it’s super sophisticated

I love this perfume from opening to end and how it works on my skin!!!The rose is not sweet or sharp, just airy. Sandalwood adds elegance without smelling like pickles. Somehow I can still smell a hint of green apples even after the opening. What can I say? She is a beauty.. she is grace. Oh and there is some clean vibes in it too🫧✨

A beautiful fragrance, so feminine and sensual, with a longevity of over 8 hours. Some people say it resembles Guidance Amouage, but for me they have nothing in common, except for the powdery notes. Idole power is realistic, deep, non-gourmand rose. Sophisticated, niche-quality composition and high-compliment signature scent.

The perfectly balanced rose perfume that's still feminine but doesn't scream "perfume"––it's deep, warm and smells like photorealistic roses at first spray and then dries down into something woody, sweet, and softly powdery. I could actually bathe myself in this & am now very eager to sample more from the Idôle line

Something about it is so addictive and beautiful. Rose and sandalwood are usually not the notes I gravitate towards but this - divine. It is similar to Impadia but actually better lasting and projecting and of course, better priced. It does not smell like Guidance, thank god!

This is the perfume I’ve received the most compliments on so far. From both men and women, whether at the office or out, etc. It has excellent longevity and projection. Compared to the classic Idole, it’s more mature, intense and woody.

Patchouli & pepper laced extreme rose and creamy sandalwood. Not extremely close to the original Idole, but definitely beautiful. Very spicy comparatively. I might consider buying this if I see it on a discount at the chemist.

I love this! Juicy while screaming power in a good way. Longevity is GREAT especially in a fabric, would last about 3 days or so. This is my favorite in Idole line. Smells expensive and classy especially in the dry down.

Lancôme, thank you. I’ve been looking for this kind of a rose scent, sharp, old timey, smoky yet not overwhelming. Very versatile would smell good day and night, causal and formal. Could become one of my signatures.

I never owned any of the idole line, although I smelled many also flankers, I never found the need of purchasing one. This one...did impress me, so much that a bought a 50ml after sampling.

It's quite a classic-retro rose scent, to my surprise. I expected something different given the marketing campaign of it, yet I like it so much, I'll definitely buy a bottle!

To me, this smells exactly like the replica bubble bath (my fav perfume) but with a very slight rose scent. I love it! Sillage is amazing.

It is very similar to amouage guidance I heard that many times before but now I sure of that I'm not a fan of amouage guidance by the way.

Lancôme should just offer monthly fee for just take my money and get this treasure on my door🤣🤣🤣

There are two main things to keep in mind with this perfume. First, it really works best in cool or cold weather. Second, it needs to be sprayed very lightly and with control. If you overspray it, especially in warm weather, it can easily become overwhelming. The scent describes a strong, characterful woman with a dark, elegant vibe. It feels quite far from the classic Lancôme Idôle style. Compared to that line, this one is much sharper, drier, more angular, and more mature. The rose here isn’t soft or boring; it feels richer, more dramatic, and closer to a niche-style rose. That rose blends with a slightly creamy, powdery, and woody dryness, creating a bold and distinctive scent with very good performance. The opening is a bit too intense and suffocating for me, but it becomes much more enjoyable as it settles into the heart notes. If you usually prefer soft, airy, and easygoing scents, this one might feel a little too sharp or heavy. Even though it smells very dense and rich, it doesn’t feel very complex, more like a few strong notes rather than many layers. It’s not complex, just intense. Overall, it’s a heavy, bold, and mature fragrance with a dramatic presence. It performs beautifully in fall and winter when the weather is cold. Outside of that, or if you apply too much, it can easily cause headaches because of how strong and saturated it is.

This is actually really good, and it's giving high quality! The Idole line is really under hyped imo. I am NOT a rose girly at all, EVER! BUTTT I adore the ENTIRE Idole line! The rose is always so beautiful soft, delicate, airy, and fresh like. They all last and project like crazy! The OG Idole is easily and BY FAR my most complicated fragrance out of my 500 bottle collection lmao which is crazyyyy to even think lol but it absolutely is. Ppl die for it and obsess over what I'm wearing and will ask every single time! Paired with the Idole lotion it's lasts even longer and it's just so nice! This one is def heavier hitting than the OG more dense and heavier, it's more of a fall/winter version of the original. This gives a mix of Idole intense, and guidance mixed together. The sandalwood isnt off putting at all, and just adds to the deepness and blends with this rose so well! The apple just adds a touch of sweetness and freshness to keep it nice and pretty and modern. This is worth the money. Def test 1st b/c it is beast mode and could case headaches, even for those who don't normally get head aches.

I was very curious about this one because Amouage Guidance is my all time favorite but as it is pricey, I’m constantly on the lookout for a similar profile and I must say I cannot understand the «reminds me of» This is no where near Guidance. It has no resemblance whatsoever. When I sprayed it in my skin, I instantly felt like I have smelled something similar before. My first thought was Montale Roses musk, but this was a bit cleaner, as the musk in Montale turns «burned» on my skin. This does not. When I got home, it suddenly hit me. Byredo Rose of no man’s land... that’s the one. Especially on the dry down. This is softer though, both in silage and longevity. Rose of no man’s land lasts and lasts on me. The best preforming out of all the of Byredo’s in my opinion. Nevertheless, if you want Byredo Roses of no man’s land but find it too pricey, you might want to give this a go. I also think this falls under the unisex category. It would smell good on a man as well as a woman.

I just ordered a travel spray of this after sampling it a couple of times. To my nose Idole Power very much recalls the Intense flanker minus the patchouli and vanilla which were the reason I couldn't wear Idole Intense even though I admired it. How fortunate for me that Lancome created something similar that leaves out the notes that I found problematic. Power is in the same vein as the Intense in terms of the jammy rose but it is less complex and faceted. I find it also a tad more synthetic smelling. I basically bought it as a scent to layer with other, brighter fragrances that could use some additional rosy or woody depth and extra complexity. I am wearing it now with Mademoiselle Rochas EDT and it is a lovely combination. Edit - 8/26 - giving this away. It just isn't working for me. The sandalwood has turned very pickle y on my skin, or maybe it's an unlisted Ambroxan note or some other aroma chemical that indeed is very 'power'ful to my nose.

This is a fragrance I would wear if it was gifted to me, but I wouldn't buy it myself. It's pleasant in a generic way. Maybe something I would wear at work to smell put together, but it doesn't feel unique in any way. Some reviews argued that this is a manly scent. The truth couldn't be further from this (at least not on me). I love unisex/men scents but this isn't one. The best way to describe it is vintage-inspired with a twist, "clean" smelling and fresh that slowly releases sweetness. It smells good. It doesn't smell interesting. Update: I wanted to add that Idole Power is a much nicer, more elevated, more complicated scent in comparison to the original Idole. Even though I still think that it smells generic, it definitely smells good. After finishing the sample I was given, I can say that I would even consider buying it, since I enjoy smelling it on my skin. On the other hand, I definitely wouldn't buy Idole.

[Review from tropical climate] Idole Power intensified the original Idole's rose DNA and added a strong but nicely blended deep woods with that apple note. For context, I don't like the OG, it's too sharp to my nose, but I liked the Aura & Nectar flankers. My bottle is still very new at this point so can't say much about the performance yet. So far, it's strong but to me it's not as strong as the OG or Nectar. My sister loves ldole Nectar and every time she oversprays, she chokes the whole air in the room that she's in. This one so far on me, and in this weather, doesn't seem to be as overpowering. Leaves a rosy trail in the air. I'd say it's more appropriate for 20+ and quite versatile in nature.

Immediately my favorite Idole ❤️ Definitely the most mature and “niche” feeling of the line. Spiced sandalwood & rose, with a hint of sweet apple. Sandalwood is the most prominent note. There is a hint of sweetness, but very far from being gourmand. No where near as sweet as the rest of the line. The initial spicy sandalwood-rose reminds me of Santal Majuscule Serge Lutens and Lyric Woman Amouage. Drydown is very close to Guidance Amouage, which makes sense as Guidance is pear-sandalwood-rose. Super strong. Two sprays and it has been projecting like crazy for hours. Love this!! They pump out so many Idole flankers, I will be sad if they replace this one.

bit boring but actually quite nice. too much rose at first, which my nose interprets as pretty widespread and uninteresting, but becomes a nostalgic sweet summer holiday type scent as it gets sweeter. feels very familiar in a way that is quite mysterious to me. it reminds me of something but i dont know what. i just see palm trees, maybe an aunt, a nice hotel. maybe I've had a fancy bath soap that smelled of apple-rose? i have the lil tester and it seems I'm not getting much of the sandalwood spice people are complaining about at all.

You have to be careful when spraying this. I usually just give one spray at my lower back and one spray a little farther away from the back of my elbow. It can be heady if it is close to your nose. I’d never thought that there’s apple in here. It does smell fruity, but dark fruity. Then i thought i was smelling some sort of orchid. Then it settles to a creamy sweet, fruity and woody scent. This perfume can last 3 days or more on my clothes and 12 hours on my skin. So yes it does live up to it’s name.

soapy, woody rose. i cant tell if this reminds me of replica lazy sunday morning or bubble bath, but the sandalwood-y note plus the rose really resembles that. idole power is just more rose. i think this is a pretty good flanker — on first sniff its pretty distinct but the more i smell it, the more it smells like the og. personally, i think the og is amazing but it sometimes makes me nauseous. but this one doesnt! still, my fav flanker so far is still idole aura :)

I have it as a legit decant, even though it just came out a few days ago. It's reminiscent of the original, BUT it lacks the deeper almost gourmand notes from the others. This has musky green apple! No idea where the name comes from, but the apple stands out. Sandalwood is there, but very light. It has a bit of amber in there somewhere maybe? The bottle color is really neat! It has the staying power of the others, but the silage is weaker than the others.

opens with an intense rose and slightly tart green apple, juicy and floral, with a very gentle woods nestled in the base. that is, unfortunately, all that it seems to present. that simplicity, however, is beautifully crafted, but leaves much to be desired. as it sits it gets progressively smoother, more cream-like it is enormously strong, while typing this up i can smell it as if it was still next to my nose. colors: blush pink, off white, pear green

this was my first sample from "sampletok", aka those tiktok ads where you get free designer samples (didnt even have to pay shipping) and it smells very ... Girl with a capital G. i like it and if i was looking for something very feminine and versatile, this would be a really nice option however i do prefer more unisex scents. definitely my favorite of the idoles and if youve smelled the others, you can probably imagine what this one smells like

I received this as a free sample with a sample of Guidance that I purchased. I’m glad that I received them together since they are being compared to each other a lot on here. I have them on each wrist right now and I can see why people say that they are similar after the dry down. At first they don’t seem like they would be but they are. I have the original Idole which I also love and haven’t smelled any of the flankers but this one is nice.

This right here, is the best out of the Idole line, this is so wild coming from me because i usually hate wood. It starts off with apple, the green apple has almost a grassy twist to it making it very fresh. Then it goes into this beautiful woody rose. It definitely is more sophisticated, and if someone were to say it gives ‘old lady’ I wouldn’t think that was a crazy opinion. However it’s genuinely a beautiful and timeless rose scent.

This is smells really nice . You get a bouquet of roses surrounded by the creamy sandalwood It smells a little bit more mature than the other Idole fragrances but it’s still a beautiful and wearable fragrance. It has a nice sophisticated quality to it because of the rose and sandalwood combination . I’m not mad at Lancôme for releasing all of these flankers, but that’s because I love rose fragrances ! Also my boyfriend likes this.

skin test, plus fabric,winter. okay, Power isnt as bright as other idoles, not like nectar being all warm rosey. this is a dry, woody rose - ish, scent. a bit sticking plaster ish, any fruit in it are the white kind, this is dry, i suspect it will be just as long lasting as the other iterations. a touch peppery. on fabric its more mellow.

The best flanker for me. The first original was also good for what it was, a clean, kind of soapy rose, but not really my style, the other flankers had some plasticky note that didn't go well for me. This one is just simple red rose with a hint of cinnamon, easy, nice and well projecting without that artificial note.

I found regular Idole much too sweet and juvenile--why is vanilla in everything now??--but thought this was really nice. Much more grown up than others in the Idole line. Opening apple note was a little synthetic, but once it faded the rose + sandalwood combo was quite appealing. Be warned, this is very strong.

Very natural rosy, slightly green, apple. I don't know if this was really needed, as there are so many Idole flankers, but clearly they are very well loved. Generally, it is a very nice basic feminine fragrance that can fit to a lot of different age groups and tastes. Another great one for gifts.

It feels very mainstream — like something you’ve smelled before in many variations. That said, it’s pleasant: rosy, lightly fruity, and gently sweet, with some floral and spicy undertones. I totally get why this would be a crowd-pleaser, but it doesn’t spark anything special for me personally.

I got a miniature as a gift in a perfumery. I was excited to try this but very disappointed. I get acetone out if this - like sniffing a nail polish 💅🏻 or hair spray 💇🏼♀️ very strong and nasty. I don't get why would someone want to smell like nail polish except for some weirdos. Pass.

Fruity-woody-rosy, so what it says on the tin. Fruitier than I expected on the top notes, with that dominant rose note. But: pretty, and it gets prettier as it hits the middle of the wear, when it gets extra rosy. Not groundbreaking, but nice. A solid, linear choice.

The floral sweetness in the opening accords is sweet and sensual. A marriage of rose and apple creates an unusual impression, giving the rose a subtle gourmand twist. It lasts for several hours, close to the skin. A flanker worth noting.
