La Nuit Tresor L'Eau de Parfum

Yeah, I'd say it's the same fragrance, but in a new bottle. If you like the original, great! If not, no need to search this out.

This doesn't smell like the original at all. This is mostly coffee and rose on my skin. The coffee is not sweet, but dark and bitter. The praline gives a sweet touch. There's also a bitter patchouli in the background, and a fresh litchi. I think there's just too much going on in this perfume. Strong and bitter coffee and patchouli, reminding me somehow of Black Orchid. And then the sweet and fresh notes, it's just a bit of a weird combo. I feel like this would be a lot better if they would focus on the 'darker' notes like coffee, patchouli and incense, or on the 'fresher' notes like pear, litchi, and rose. They focusssed on both now, making the fragrance unpleasant IMO. I however love the original La Nuit Tresor! Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 5-6 hours. I had a sample, but I can imagine the bottle being really beautiful!

This was a blind purchase for me and my first of the tresor range. It was the bottle that I liked and I had heard such good reviews on it (the original). The bottle is beautiful, more glitter than stone looking. The perfume itself just has too much going on and it's too sweet. I enjoy sweet smells but this is overpowering with so many fruity notes attacking my senses. I also don't enjoy the smell of coffee at all so this might have been a poor choice for me. It smells best after a few hours, when it's barely there and that stage it means it's time for a top up spray. I would say around 6 hours later. The only way I was able to appreciate it was to layer it with something really musky and that done the job. Otherwise,it's just too much/sweet for me and I won't be purchasing it again. It's a shame because I like the bottle.

I want this bottle! I sawit on a French website a few weeks ago. I hope it sells in the U.S. Probably it will but if it's a Christmas edition it should be available already.

The original has always been L’eau. This is not a new fragrance. Fragrantica, please stop confusing us!!!!!
