La Vie Est Belle L’Eau de Toilette Florale

Okay, I am feeling the need to leave a review for this one. I love LVEB and own it in several of it's guises (the original, Intense, L'absolut and now this one) and while yes, I agree with so many that it is insane that one perfume can have so many versions, I can honestly say they really ARE all different from one another! If you wear them alternately one day after the next, it really hits you just how different they are! Anyway, back to Florale! I had never tried the EDT version, so really wasn't sure what to expect from this in any way at all. In my head I assumed it would be weaker and softer and kinda fade away to not much in 3-4 hours - well wasn't I wrong! Firstly I have to say, this little beauty seems to last on me for ages! I sprayed a tester on me about 11am in a shop, and the following morning at 7am when I woke, I could still smell it! Amazing! Now as to the smell, on first spray, sure, I just thought 'it's LVEB without the harsh note' - (quick note here, much as I absolutely adore fragrance, I am no professional and can not start naming ingredients, I can only compare and describe to the best of my ability!) - but that changed pretty quickly. For sure, that sharpness of the original is definitely absent, this is softer, smoother and to be fair, heavenly! Yes, as it's name suggests, it is more floral than the original, but I get a kind of honey smell to it too, which is just delicious. As it warms up on your skin and develops, to my nose it becomes a combination of LVEB (unmistakeably) but with a lovely edge of Lady Gaga's Fame Black Fluid, which I love, but vanishes on me in about an hour. This is truly the best of both worlds. With Florale, I get the lovely LVEB trademark scent, but softer and smoother rather than weaker as I expected. I am just so impressed with it for an EDT and indeed as a flanker it really does set itself apart. I can easily wear it in the daytime, or I can also definitely see myself using it on a summers night evening. It's a little bit of heaven that puts a smile on my face and a glow in my heart! Florale, I love you <3

It's not a real review since It's the first time I'm trying it but I know that I need to have this beauty ASAP As someone who never haved or loved original la vie,it's funny that I love it's flankers so deeply Intense version is among my favorites and I find edt very addictive.I didn't expect to love floral version because it's notes aren't very interesting for me Just like the intense version this one has it's original personality while sharing a common DNA with original It's really sweet but it doesn't have much of burnt sugary kind of sweetness that original edp and also edt have.nevertheless it's strange that there's no sweet/gourmand note listed.I expected to see praline or maybe caramel/vanilla? something that could explain it's juicy sweetness in opening and it's creamy sweetness later on.but as I said sweetness is more tamed here thanks tobsoft,powdery florals.it's more sparkly with more flowers and also a lot more fruits.maybe cassis and osmanthus are making me to think of fruits here,donno,the only thing I know is,this one is different enough to compell me to buy it and it's very delicious and super feminine with all these sweet,powdery florals Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be very longlasting on me.I sprayed it 5 hours ago and I can't smell even slightest trace of it.while blumarine rose which I sprayed on my other hand is still there.but I can't judge with a single test and the most important thing is,it is very potent while it lasts and this is more important for me I don't see it as a summer scent.it's too sweet for hot weather.but mild to cool spring and fall days sound appropriate Gonna edit as soon as I buy my own bottle and can't wait long

I hate lancome la vie este belle.it's very cheap heavy headacky and shouts for attention.maybe I hate it more because every woman in street and every where use it.most of them it's fake.with twenty sprays even in hot days!when I smell it I feel I can't breath but this one.it's one of best perfumes in my life.it's very different.very classy lux feminine beautiful!I don't like la vie este belle and I don't like floral perfumes so I didn't think I love it but I do.it's sweet and there's flowers and fruits that I don't know.I can just smell iris.it's something you can't forget.it smells very expensive very high class and rich and very sweet powdery but not headache making.Longevity and sillage are great.I will buy four or five boxes of it for spring 10/10 من از لانکوم لاویه استه بله متنفرم.عطر چیپ و سنگین و سردردی و جلب توجهی هست.شاید بخاطر این خیلی بدم میاد که در خیابان و همه جا همه استفاده نی کنند اون هم اکثرا فیکش را اون هم بیست تا اسپری حتی تو هوای گرم!با همین کارها این عطر را خز کردن درحدیکه الان اگه بوش بهم بخوره نفسم میگیره.این نوع فلورالش اما فرق داره.بی همتا هست رویایی شیک فنسی تجملاتی لطیف زنانه.اوج شیکی هست.چون هم لاویه بله را بدم میلد هم عطرهای فلورال را اصلا فکر نمی کردم از این خوشم بیاد اما عاشقش شدم.شیرین هست و پودری و گلها و میوه ها را نمیشه تشخیص داد البته به جز زنبق.شیرینی این عطر خیلی فرق داره.گران و های کلس و لوکس هست.خیلی خانم هست.واقعا زیباست.ماندگاری و پخش عالی..برای عید حتما می خرمش و حداقل چهار پنج تا دیگه هم ازش می گیرم و نگه میدارم ۱۰/۱۰

I never liked La vie est belle, not that it's a bad perfume but it's too edgy. It could be either sickly sweet or unpleasantly synthetic and sharp. It's ok for all ages since it has so many editions but please, please don't over use it! Lancome's quality is more than great and it doesn't need more than 2 sprays to be noticed. I decided to try Florale although I am not a floral type. I am more on the gourmand side. What I really dislike in LVEB-EDP is the 'dirty' patchouli, the 'sour' combination of black currant-praline and the fight between super strong and a bit darky notes, against sweeter/fruitier one. In the beginning I was so impressed from LVEB-Florale. I thought that it could be a huge like but really fast it became exactly the same with the original, plus it's more sharp. I shouldn't expect more, it's the same name, different edition of the perfume but Osmanthus is the main character and it makes it so similar to Flowerbomb from Viktor & Rorlf. I have to find the more gourmandise edition of LVEB and who knows? Maybe I'll fall in love. Quality is indisputably good but... p.s: Although it's a more formal/business type of smell, if you use it together with a refreshing neutral body lotion and you decide to wear it for night time clubbing, you'll have the absolute summer perfume! In a smokey environment it becomes an attention getter because of the sharp character. Thumbs up Lancome!

This edition of La Vie est Belle, EDT Florale is really pretty. While it maintains the DNA of the original, this Floral version is less sickly sweet and more complex in the sense that it has so many varieties of flowers: mimosa, violets, jasmine, iris, rose, freesia, orange blossoms, magnolia and osmanthus. Mimosa was originally my favourite yellow flower, before discovering ylang ylang. Mimosa combined with violets give perfumes such a sweet powdery facet, while the addition of osmanthus flower gives a subtle peachy effect. Jasmine flower comes across very strong blended with a subdued rose, freesias and orange blossom. The sweetness of all these flowers and of the amberwood from the base is counterbalanced by green, fresh currants buds and patchouli plus zestiness from the bergamot. As a flanker, this Floral version is very well done and more balanced and nuanced than the original! It brings a bit of freshness and a bunch of different flowers to the sweetness and powderiness of the OG LVEB. For an EDT this performs impeccably, more like a regular perfume. It’s strong, intense and has very good sillage. This is not a summertime floral scent, more of a spring and fall scent! It was a limited edition release and I back in the days, I was a huge fan of La Vie est Belle line. Now not so much anymore but I am so happy to have a bottle of this in my collection.

I received it as a generous gift from a friend of mine and I can't say how much happy I am as I wanted it for nearly a year As much as I wear it,I can see less similarities between this one and original LVEB and I find it more similar to lancome tresor lanuit caresse.to be honest,I find it's opening identical to tresor lanuit caresse which I also own and like It's very sweet when first sprayed.syrupy sweet,delicious,spicy and fruity.blackcurrent isn't one of my favorite fruity notes but I like it here. Something I really like about this perfume is how it develops and changes on skin.it becomes less sweet,less syrupy,less spicy and less fruity as time passes.it becomes more floral,a tad powdery,gentle and pleasant.I can detect iris and candied violet,but they don't stand out as much as I thought before.I can sometimes feel something fresh,green and menthol-like which comes and goes and I really like it. I really like this perfume and I believe whether you like original LVEB or not,you'd better try this one and make sure to give it enough time to settle down.it's a beautiful scent and has good sillage in first hour of application The only thing I really dislike about LVEB flankers is that their bottles look almost the same,there's nothing to encourage collectors to collect them

Gorgeous bottle - this would make a beautiful gift! Very much a Springtime perfume, as is the previous LVEB EDT, in my opinion. Florale smells so similar to the other flankers that nothing really stood out about this one for me. I plan to revisit this when the weather's a little warmer as I feel like I've tested this in the wrong season, which possibly hasn't done it justice. UPDATE So, I tried this again, a couple of weeks after my first testing. My perception of it this time was much more favourable than last time and I think the weather had a lot to do with it as I suspected (today being a very sunny, albeit still cold, day). This perfume really is beautiful and perfect for Spring. Much smoother and less cloying than the original LVEB. I actually think they are improving and perfecting the formulation with each flanker! While I was wearing it, I was constantly wanting to smell my wrists. Very nicely blended overall and a perfume that I've now added to my want list for Spring. Again, beautiful bottle (even prettier than the previous LVEB EdT). Note - unlike previous LVEBs, sillage is very soft.

I simply love LVEB it is my signature perfume! And this flanquer is quite delicious and unique, when I noticed it was recently launched I rushed to the store and gave it a try, I bought it right there and then! to me this is by far one of the best versions of LVEB out there. From the first spray I was bought, it's freshm fruity and more playful to me a spring fragrance! the osmanthus is very present. This could definetely be worn at all times but I incline more to day. It smells kind of powdery at the dry down without losing that LVB effect, I don't really miss the praline in it... it's just another version with it's very own signature. Dry down on me is quite woody and I do notice the musk and amberwood, which I think are the ones turning this fragrance around although you definetly smell that they are sisters. If you would wear on one wrist LVEB EDP and on the other this version you will definitely notice their differences. Delicious EDT although it has more a character of an EDP. If you are a fan go for it!

I purchased this on Zulily when they have their perfume sales. Ahhh what can I say, La vie est Belle Florale EDT is a great softer than original summer scent. It is absolutely amazing. With so many beautiful florals in like Jasmine, Freesia Iris, Osmanthus and Magnolia this is a soft bouquet to me. I love the “patch” mixed in but not strong like let’s say Angel Mugler type. It’s playing hide and seek, the florals come first. This is one of my favorites. I do have the original and the intense (Oh my goodness how different version do we need) but this is again a favorite for summer. I feel these designer house just add a different twist every year and after a while it gets confusing and for some like me who collects drives me crazy lol. Sillage is definitely there, you will get noticed just like original. Lasting power excellent on me 12 hours or more.

Update: this has just become my signature fragrance for the spring months... it has a long lasting sillage after hours of having sprayed, I get very often compliments suprisingly from a lot of women and then only at the dry down such as: "you smell delicious like sweet popcorn" or "You smell so sweet like fresh baked waffels" so it is a fragrance that invites to take a bite, if you like candy-like smells then this is it for you too... crazy enough there is no praline on this one but only the sweetness of flowers... could this be the pink peper and amberwood playing mind games on us? Anyway I love it!

Love this one! This version does have LVEB DNA in it in the drydown, but of all the flankers that I’ve tried, this one is the freshest and most airy. It’s a sweet, feminine floral with a little something extra. I prefer this one to the original... it’s on the same level as the “en rose” flanker. En Rose is a bit fruitier. Longevity is amazing, of course (thank you, Lancome). Projection is good as well, slightly less that the original. If I close my eyes and smell this, I imagine pastel colored flowers and sugar cubes floating around on pink clouds.

Whilst I'm well aware that the perfume world seems to have gone crazy with flankers, I'm still really looking forward to trying this! There are several notes in this that I'm not particularly familiar with, which makes it all the more interesting to me. So glad that the oh-so-sweet praline note has been left out but kind of sad that the almond note I so loved in the previous EDT has also gone too. Anyhow, I plan to test this ASAP (luckily for me the nearest Debenhams is just a few miles away) and hope to leave a proper review shortly.

I have a small vial. At the first moment I dissmissed it with a wave, it seemed to be boring and I could smell only an average sweet base similar to LVEB edp, but slightly weaker than that. After an hour or soooo I cought some beautiful fume that reminded me of SoOud Nur's raw-clean, patchouli-tobbaco side. It is a little bit green, elegant. The iris developed soooo nice on my skin. I adore it. It is close to Valentino Donna. I keep on testing but I love it so much!!!!

Out of the 'La Vie est Belle series' I've only tried the original, the eau de toilette and this Florale one. The Florale one is my favourite by far. I love it so much! It's so refined. The floral mixed with the sugary notes is absolutely to die for. I can't get enough of it! I have 60 + perfumes and at the moment this is my number one for sure. I guess that is saying quite a lot.

This is absolutely gorgeous. It’s not super unique, as it still has that basic LVEB DNA. But it’s basically like the original Le vie est Belle but with floral notes. I really like it ... how can you go wrong?? Easy to wear, great silage, pretty, feminine.:) very happy with my 10mL travel size and would consider getting a full size bottle in the future.

it doesnt make any sense it all - LVEB is characterized by Praline, why this is a flaker with no Praline in it at all??? Im confused....seems absolutely nothing like LVEB, rather a completely new scent - why do they use the old bottle and name then?? because of profit, of courese....So are you gonna play theit game??!! not with me, this is ridiculous

It's beautiful, round, soft and the most delicate and wearable for more sensitive noses:) Finally a LVEB for all those who do not put up with cloying sweet praline bombs but would still love to smell something popular and trendy. It smelled forever on me, I hated to wash it off, my favorite in the range, alongside with LVEB le Parfum Intense:)

let me say this I’m not into LVEB the original, but this one is one of my favorites. It’s fresh and bright not so goopy and syrupy as the original on me. The middle notes is what does it for me because I’m a big floral lover. I bring this out for spring and summer every year. Recommended 9/10

When I was a child I used to love reading Amelia Bedelia (Confessional:still do) about a genius rebel maid that took word for word her employer's commands to an absurd literal level "Draw the curtains"- she sat and made a sketch of the curtains. "Trim the meat"- she made lace out of beef. "Change the towels"-took scissors to make the towels into different shapes. The only reason they kept hiring her was because she was a pastry virtuoso, the minute they were about to fire her she presented them with some sugary craft worthy of Carême, so they kept her. Why am I even talking about this? Because if I took the candy mawkish title of the orginal "La Vie Est Belle" and thought that by spraying it my life would be happier, I would be very sad. This however, is my perfume version of Amelia Bedelia offering something delicious reconciling me with that whole line of work: "Would you like a lemon bar, violet-cassis shortbread cookies and osmanthus tea?" Don't mind if I do. So I keep her. Long story short, a tannic, better version of LVEB.

I started off preferring the En Rose flanker but this is a lovely perfume in its own right and has grown on me. Don't look here for unique, boundary breaking perfume. Don't buy this thinking you will have parfum level strength and longevity. ( You get what you see with this one and some reviews seem to really take issue with this. ) Judged in its own merits this is a pretty, softly sweet and well blended perfume that lightens up the heavy gourmand of the original with some delicate citrusy florals. It's more lemon drizzle cake, light and sweet but with that little kick . The longevity is pretty good in my opinion for an EDT, being strong on application and then gentle wafts through the day. 3 sprays today, I can still smell it 6 hours later, and it'll be detectable on my skin after 7.

I ordered the edt of lveb and received this by accident, so the initial blast of fruit was really unexpected. I’m not that into black currant (it ruins Armani Si for me), but it’s less boozy and more jammy here, melting away to let the candied violets shine. My signature scent used to be a very sweet violet (Lolita Lempicka) but this is candied violet without the walk in the woods - lveb florale is a confection. I am glad for the mixup, because I like this so much more than any of the other lvebs.

I didn't enjoy it at first but I'm testing it out again and am really liking it. It reminds me of something I had as a teen, yet way better. I can't think of which one but its gives a light candy floral sweetness without being thick/sweet like the other flankers. This is definitely more floral and fluffy than the others. Sillage and longevity is of course above average. Im going to keep wearing my sample its very uplifting and "fun" really suits the warm weather we have been having lately.

Don't judge this perfume in the hopes of another version of La Vie Est Belle; it isn't the same at all. In fact, the opening notes are really not that pretty at all. For me, I have to judge a perfume upon the middle and base notes. And so, once you wait for about 15 minutes, the beautiful musk and wood notes come to life. This lovely fragrance has my mind back in the day when CK's Obsession was the rage-- This perfume is closer to Obsession than it's mother, La Vie Est Belle.

At first I found this fragrance very sweet, far too sweet for warm weather. However on a cooler day the fragrance takes you on a journey. It is a well blended perfume, I can actually smell all the notes in particular the iris and violet notes. There is something in this fragrance that gives it a sweetness, I thought it was vanilla, but vanilla is not listed in the notes. Like it, but only in a cooler climate.

This is a really good flanker. There are some elements to it which are reminiscent of the original (hence it being a flanker and not a completely separate fragrance) but it is the most different of all the LVEB flankers. It's sweet but in a fresh, sparkling, floral fruity way rather than a rich praline gourmand way. This is a great addition to my collection.

I don't know if the original LVEB was much better, or I'm just getting tired of this scent. I don't sense anything florale about it's just the same praline scent to me as other flankers. I haven't even owned La Vie Est Belle yet, I can't possibly be bored of it. It's good, it just doesn't suit next to spring releases, more of a winter scent.

What a wonderful iris! I’ve never liked the original La Vie Est Belle, but some ‘flankers’ are really outstanding. The powdery note reminds me of the one in Tiffany&co. Intense; as for the rest, here everything is more FLORALE. Unexpectedly and positively impressed!

What I like the most about LVEB EDT Florale is how it’s a more subtle/softer version of the OG. It’s less in-your-face with a less noticeable and heavy patchouli yet keeping LVEB’s signature DNA. Great lasting power for an EDT!

This is such a lovely take on LVEB, adding a subtle floral undertone that lightens and lifts the original DNA. It still has all the major components, but is more wearable. And for an eau de toilette, the performance is stellar!

Nothing like the original, it more sweet vanilic, reminds me of l instant or a bit of Dior addict type. It's actually very nice. No powerful patchouli, very calming and warm.

Airy,ethereal,a softer and less cloying edition of LVEB. I'm not sure if I want to purchase it, but it's miles ahead from the original.

DISCLAIMER: I already thought LVEB was an over-hyped fragrance going in to this, so my hopes were not very high for the Florale EDT. It is pretty much what I anticipated. I like it enough to keep test wearing it until my decant runs out, but I'm not in a rush for a full bottle. At first, I’m getting citrusy notes with a slight kick from the pink pepper. The tea note helps the opening transition to sharp white florals like orange blossom and neroli. (Recently, I’m finding I like fragrances with tea in them that don’t smell like tea outright, like Born in Roma.) The iris here gives that classic powdery quality one expects in Spring floral fragrances. Then, there are a bunch of standard notes in the base. Patchouli, vanilla, musk... I’m not sure what it is, but there’s one note in here that leans very sweet, almost candy like. However, the juice is so light, that sweet note avoids getting too cloying. The biggest drawback is that this is an EDT with stereotypical EDT performance (or underperformance, perhaps?). Good scent with little sillage and even less longevity. It’s really not bad, just not unique and not worth a purchase. I’m almost having to inhale my arm just to get a sense of how this smells. Nothing about it is making me feel like I have to have it.

Really bad. At first, it is a bit like the original LVEB, but after a while more flowers can be smelled and the whole blend is quite strange & not pleasant at all. What a shame. I like LVEB flankers very much, but so far I haven't found any scent of this line that I could love.

Smells identical to casmere veil and I don't care for either

They who like a sweet floral that develops during the wear time should try the Florale flanker. I categorize it as gourmand non gourmand, because for the half wear time it's edible sweet and the remaining wear time, it's just intensely sweet but without being edible. It is green at the late drydown, and before that it reveals a soft balmy facet. Soft spicy only in the opening, not the definition of woody, softly powdery. It opens sweetly and somewhat spicy; sweet juicy because of the bergamot and the blackcurrant revealing after it. It is sweet and smooth. It will be sickly sweet like the original LVEB, but it mellows into a full on floral perfume with the sweet remaining in the background, fading more and more as time passes. Somewhere in the middle of wear time I can smell flowers dipped in orange-praline drink. Sometimes it reminds me of Mon Paris Yves Saint Laurent, other times it's like Armani Code Cashmere, maybe because of the iris, that is better handled here (not the best, but better than Cashmere), but here the florals, especially orange blossom and mimosa tame the utterly sweet waffts. Now, the flowers could be handled a bit better. An iris that I wouldn't want it blended with such an intense blackcurrant, but a good one, nonetheless. Same applies for violet, it's not enough refined. For some reason I detect orange blossom, freesia and a some osmanthus with a sweet mimosa. Forget the dirty patch (not that the Original had a dirty one, but even if that was intense to you,) Florale flanker has it in unidentifiable small doses. Musk is more of a fixative. It might not have the praline note listed but I definitely sense some food-like sweetness; it could be the tricky blackcurrant, or they did add some praline notes but in small doses. From LVEB line I would only wear the Intense flanker, which I consider a proper take on perfume, but I was so infatuated by other fragrances at the time of testing, so I did not buy it. Maybe next time. Far more flirty, sophisticated and youthful than the original LVEB and worthy of a test. Wear it at least one day so you know it suits you. Good job Lancome.

This is really pretty. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, sprayed straight out of the box, I got a lot of pepper! However, I learned from a wonderful Fragrantica Friend, sometimes you have to let a fragrance settle for a while before testing, so I've just left it alone for a few days. Smelling it now, I really like it a lot! It's got a sweetness, but not candy sweet. Reminds me of the way a rose petal tastes! I was a strange child, and I used to pick and eat rose petals. All kinds. Lol! This smells like that, like a sweet, fresh rose petal. It's in the same vein as Coco Mademoiselle Intense and Miss Dior 2012 - Not exactly the same scent, but quite similar. Also reminds me just a little bit of Roses Berberanza, but definitely not as sweet. I can hardly sense the pepper now, but I think that's what's balancing the sweetness. I get a little wood and purple flowers. No patchouli yet. Mostly rose and some mimosa... I think the floral and woody aspects will shine more in cooler weather. It's 102 in San Diego today, pushing 85 inside the house (ugh). Anywho, I like it! Could easily become a love! Easy to wear, it just smells NICE. Think guys might really like to get close when you wear it.

So I just received this today and here's my review ;) I want to start off by saying the bottle is just beautiful, it is slim and the added flower with silver pearl add a touch of femininity to it. The juice is light pink which reminds me of innocence and beauty. I have owned the original la vie est belle and found it too synthetic, I also had the intense version and although better than the original I found it a bit too strong. This is the best la vie est belle edition from the other prevoiusly mentioned in my opinion. It is very similar to the intense version, deliciously sweet (minus the synthetic smell) powdery with a hint of freshness. I don't detect much flowers in this but will update as I just received it and have only sprayed it twice on arm. I sprayed it twice about an hour ago and the scent remains potent....so far I really like it. The best looking bottle in my honest opinion! I give this beauty a 8/10 I will update soon!

Definitely a shy, innocent, and fresh version of LVEB. This release is a nice and powdery perfume of blackcurrant and pears (weirdly not listed in the notes pyramid above), mixed with a delicate floral essence with a touch of green, on a resinous ambery base. This perfume provides a happy, vivid, and innocent aroma. It's well-blended to the degree it smells really simple, and I can't believe it contains all of these listed floral notes. The powdery notes are not suffocating at all--despite the exaggerated extension of the valuation bar above. It's just the soft iris powder. I would switch the (fruity) and (powdery) labels in the evaluation bar above. It's too fruity, but it's not overly dusty. This perfume is also quite sweet and includes praline. I wonder why the valuation bars are missing a long "Sweet" indicator. The sillage is annoyingly minimal "for an LVEB", making it a very safe version for spring and summer.

I like le vie est belle, though not as much as some other Lancome fragrances, but I do like it. I am in a pickle with this one though... I spray it and get the initial blast and within minutes it has gone. Every so often I get a fresh burst of something and think 'this is nice' then nothing, followed by a few more bursts of something I can't quite work out. I've tried it on my clothes, skin and hair and I am still struggling. There's an under smell of something sickly which seems to be apparent in the outdoors, but when I sniff my skin close up it is a pleasant, not a 'wow' fresh scent. I've read about others picking up violets and I was hoping for this, but none so far. There's a cloying element when the scent comes and goes. I think I may find it pleasing in cooler climates. There's definitely a DNA of the original but that is in the opening. I so wanted to 'love' this moreso because it is a gift.

I can't believe how much hate LVEB gets, aside from all that nonsense.. I LOVE flankers, and variations on fragrances -- even if I'm not a fan of the original, I'm still so curious to try because one or two notes added or removed can make a huge difference for me. I love most versions of LVEB so this is exciting, considering the focus is on the flowers >.< Looking forward to testing this! I loooove the carnivalesque essence of this line, happy sweet and twinkly... Much more interesting and multi-faceted than many of the other mainstream gourmands I read it being compared to constantly. Definitely a people pleaser.... but is that an actual issue, or a preference? Who cares that more flankers are being made - they're affordable, liked by many, and have a genuine market obviously. I'd much rather see a flanker on the market than a "special edition" of the exact same formula~

This is really lovely!! It is quite floral in the top notes, bright, also with a nice blackcurrant vibe, and very different from La Vie est Belle! Less sweet, with an identity of its own! It isn't exactly gourmand , I would say more a juicy floral, although I find it has something from the Absolu version, the rounded buttery iris maybe? so the base is sweeter. The base notes come through pretty quick, the iris , rounded, the white patchouli...it is almost what La Vie est belle Intense should have been like! Yes another flanker,very different, but when you create such beautiful scents,I honestly don't mind!! I find it more interesting than EDT, which was soft , too light..lt has longevity, it is feminine, womanly, and a bit sensuous too...just love this scent !! Very pretty creation!!

I cannot stand the original LVEB however I absolutely adore this. My favourite Lancome fragrance is by far La Nuit Tresor which currently is only available on the European market. I have now found the Lancome UK division equivalent! This new LVEB flanker is the closest thing by far I have found to La Nuit Trésor. The only real difference is the lack of rose, which is why La Nuit flanks Tresor and not LVEB. for anyone interested and intrigued by the elusive La Nuit Tresor, or who cannot stand the original LVEB, I urge you to go and try this. You will be pleasantly surprised.

It is really getting ridiculous now, don't You think, Lancôme? I agree, so long it sells, that's the demanding line we are all in for. Sad, ain't it. I am not impressed. Till L'Absolue, I could understand it, or well, tried to, but there on, it is just too much for my nervs. I will definitely avoid Your shelfs, sorry. Is there any "Elixir" on this? Or still to come. Just for You not to get out of ideas. There are still some obtions left, see on Dior J'ador, You may as well get inspired, or used "Muse", if TM didn't copy-righted the name as yet. :-)

This has been available for about 4 weeks in the uk now, the overall tone of this fragrance is lighter than the rest of the family, it opens with a blackcurrant note which mingles nicely with the classic sweet profile of la vie est belle, once the opening settles down you are left with dry down very similar to the original EDT. I got around 4-5 hours out of this before it became a real skin scent. Overall I give this a 7/10, it is nice to see a different facet to LVEB and this will be a nice fragrance to wear in the upcoming Spring season

This was supposed to be a floral and did start out that way, but on my skin it swiftly transformed into some kind of sugary vanilla gourmand. It’s complicated and pretty. Almost an innocent powdery pastry shop kind of scent. The sillage wasn’t as much as hoped but not bad either. The longevity was truly impressive. Like an old school perfume. I love the scent and was pleased by it all day, though I don’t know that it fits my personality so I will honor and keep it but keep looking for something more me.

By far my favourite LVEB. It is still reminiscent of the original but much more toned down and floral, and the patchouli note isn't as cloying. It is also less sweet due to the lack of praline. I can't pick out any particular flower note that stands out the most, which just goes to show how well-blended it is. Overall, not bad at all! Longevity and sillage are exceptional, as with all Lancome fragrances, and I could definitely see this as a good scent for all year round.

The dry down is just like the original and lighter in patch. Long lasting. Don't buy on impulse as the initial spray Is lovely but not needed if you have LVEB with the similar dry down. It's my preferred flanker if I had to choose. Update (2/3/16): On paper this smells like Tocade!! On my skin i get strong patch as the original unlike on paper! I'm loving it on my scarf. One spray since afternoon has caused lovely wafts in my bedroom and it's 9hrs later.
