Mille et Une Roses

@lady.lovesperfumes So Glad I did not blindbuy it. Beautiful sweet rose perfume but very close to Magnolia Rosae but more rounded,it is more tamed. Projects and stays on skin for about 5 hours before it becomes skin scent. I own Magnolia Rosae so I will not buy this, but I like this one.( unless I get a big discount) Imagine a very tamed Cicuta of Paolo Terenzi, sweet with playdohy texture, very very nice. Overall quality perfume, nothing new, but my kids and my husband said I smelled very nice.

I love this rose, with an entry of mandarin and bergamot, it goes to the heart of the grasse rose like a poem to the spring. Would wear on the day for a lunch at the club, and even at night for a dinner a terrace.

This is not a new perfume. Check the original => Mille et Une Roses by Lancome is a Floral fragrance for women. Mille et Une Roses was launched in 1999. The nose behind this fragrance is Christine Nagel.

I have been waiting for a new release from Maison Lancôme for 2022. This one sounds intriguing and it’s coming home to Mama!!!

Mille et Une Roses is a simple, familiar rose scent - pleasant, but nothing special. It is centred on a sweet, jammy rose note that feels pink in colour. MUR is rosy from initial spray, initially freshened by citrus, but gradually becoming sweeter and jammier as it develops on my skin. The unmistakable pear note serves to enhance the sweetness here - pear is an iffy note for me, and I'm unsure of its inclusion here. The sweet amber adds a rich, slightly animalic quality to the rose as it dries down, complementing the rose nicely. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A pretty, feminine, jammy rose scent, this is nicely composed but nothing unusual, and quite expensive for what it is. Still, pretty decent overall and easy-to-wear. 3/5.

17. December 2022 I have worn it today on my wrist and i am wearing the original 1999 on my other wrist as well.... They are not exactly the same. This new version is very shy and not much about the rose even. At first it is very weirdly non-detectable, not loud, not the typical rose-rose but more like citrusy hibiscus. It becomes more citrusy the more it develops. I cannot call the rose note the most prominent in here. I do think there is bit of musk in this version as well. Nothing much to talk about, this is quite a linear scent, that does not wow me at all. It indeed reminds me a bit of Rose de Grasse by Aerin, but not the "pour filles", but "joyful rose de grasse" version, but less appealing even. 195eur for 100ml is way too much they are asking for this fragrance. Again, if i would be testing it from the plain bottle, with no name on it, i would not go for it, as it does not impress me much. In the end it just starts to smell like the citrusy cleaning detergent.

This is kinda gross. Very strong, powdery rose with nothing particularly sweet to round it out. Scrubber for me.

Grandma scent, it smells terrible... If you want a rose scent, buy Lancome Idole.

Found some interesting information in an article: • Lancôme acquired 10 acres of land in Grasse, dubbed the Domaine de la Rose, in 2020. It's supposed to be the first organic farm dedicated to perfumery. • This version was a "special (limited?) edition" created by Louise Turner. • It has 6 types of rose extracts as well as "peonies and a touch of geranium". • The perfumer wanted to "echo the 'terroir' of the Domaine...by using an overdose of ambrox and woods". • This is the first (and last?) Lancôme to use 97% "natural-origin" ingredients. So this is kind of their transitional fragrance to either revive or closeout the collection and launch a new one 🤔

Well, the garden gate imagery on the bottle is certainly enchanting; few perfumers have used that scene on a bottle. However it's the same theme that they used last year to drag us in, and the Rose Peonia scent in last year's bottle was just another frothy rose scent like any number of 5000+- rose scents brought out in the last 20 years, by others but especially by Lancome. Mille et Une Roses looks like the exact same juice in an only slightly different bottle. How anyone keeps track of all that I have no idea. Or why.

Just got this in the other day, first spray, a little more citrusy than the original. I wore it side by side with the original, this is stronger, longevity is very good. Beautiful, a fresher rose with some spice and amber, this can replace the original Mille Et Une Roses that is discontinued and hard to find

I had the 1999 version which smells like your average rose with a musky base fragrance. Since the musk is not listed here hope this one will have some exciting changes to it so it's not as meh like the 1999 version.

On my skin it is a jammy rose. Pretty linear and a bit childish. It is not bad, but it is boring and overpriced ( and a bit sickening). Sillage and longevity are powerful though.

Musk and rose scent is very similar to Aerin's Rose de Grasse. The smell is not worth the price.
